While Samus is Having Surgery…

Adam sat on a rock, sharpening his Claw weapon while examining his new arm, flashing back to when his crew had chopped off the forearm of a Moosifer and surgically applied it to his own. He moved his fingers and hand before smirking.

However, he scowled… recalling how his forearm had been ripped off by that infernal Rathalos. If it wasn't for that creature, he would have successfully killed that Schnee… not to mention he would have killed Blake as well, while also trying to find a way to kill that Pokemon who was responsible for saving their lives.

Strangely though, it didn't hurt as bad compared to things like Jacques Schnee branding him or Blake leaving him. But no matter… Blake will get her punishment soon enough. Though he couldn't help but have a feeling that Blake will be in a world of hurt and he won't be there witnessing the punishment she'll be getting. A shame, really… but it's what she deserves. In fact, he would've grabbed the popcorn and watched her suffer.

"Crimson Horn!" A voice caught his attention, seeing the Albain brothers approaching him.

"What is it?" Adam asked.

"A scout picked up on a new monster nearby. Says that it's vastly different compared to the other monsters that we have." Corsac explained.

"And that is?"

"According to the scout… he said it was a massive dinosaur with a searing hot blade for a tail."

"Hmph… sounds stupid. Not interested." Adam said as he hopped off the rock and walked off.

"We thought you might say that… so this might catch your attention." Fennec said. "The creature in question was fighting a Rathalos." He said, causing Adam to stop walking. "…And the Rathalos was cut clean in half after a vicious battle."

Adam turned his head. "Bring me Seryu. I wish to take a look at this monster myself."

"As you wish, high leader." Corsac said, both of them bowing and walked off.

"…A monster destroying a Rathalos." Adam smirked. "How interesting."

A few minutes later…

"A dinosaur with a blade for a tail… that sounds kind of dumb." Seryu said as she was walking through the forest with Adam.

"Perhaps… but, if it means that it's a merciless Rathalos killer, then I need to check it out."

Seryu smirked. "If it means destroying that Schnee's pet, then I'm all for some swift justice." She said as they walked through, only to come into a clearing with downed trees, singed grass with some of it still o fire, and a Rathalos that was indeed cut clean in half.

Adam approached the Rathalos, taking a good look at its mortal wound. It had put up a good fight, but in the end, it's entire body was cut in half, even it's wings. Adam smirked, something about a monster destroying a Rathalos excited him… and he wanted to know who was responsible for it.

"It might not be the Rathalos… but good riddance." Seryu said as Adam would spot footprints on the ground, and he proceeded to follow them with Seryu right behind him… until they both walked up a hill and then looked down at the other side, seeing the creature in question in a ravine, walking around and sharpening its bladed tail by swiftly slicing it on the rocks, where it glowed and burned brightly.

The sight made Adam smirk. This was the monster that will get rid of that pesky Schnee pet.

…Seryu, meanwhile, paled up at the sight of it and fear was seen in her eyes. "Ooookaaaaaay…" Seryu said as she backed up. "Adam, are you absolutely sure this is a good idea?"

"Yes."

"Okay, I'm just gonna come out and say it… I know I'm crazy, but fighting THAT thing? Have you lost your damn mind?!"

"This creature will make short work of the Schnee's pesky pet." Adam said, jumping off the cliff.

Yup… he's crazy. Seryu thought and took a deep breath. "Okay… one… two…"

The creature turned its head toward Adam, as it let out a loud roar that made Seryu flinch.

"…Two and a half…" She whimpered.

Adam smirked. "Bring it on. Seryu… you coming or what?"

Oh, forget it! Seryu thought as she jumped in, visibly gulping at the sight of it. "Nice… dinosaur…"

The creature let out a loud roar, charging directly at the two.

BGM: Glavenus Battle Theme (Monster Hunter World: Iceborne)

Hot Bladed Brute Wyvern - Glavenus

The Glavenus chomped down on the duo, but they would both leap out of the way as Seryu would make an AR-15 and proceeded to shoot at the Glavenus. The Wyvern turned its head toward Seryu and breathed fire, forcing her to dive out of the way while Adam ran over and slashed his side with his claw.

The Glavenus turned his head, snarling as he swung his bladed tail at Adam, forcing him to duck as a few hairs were cut off of his head, then Adam countered by slashing at his scales before jumping back and launched a Kasizzle spell at him.

Seryu proceeded to shoot at the Glavenus, where it breathed fireballs at her, but she jumped out of the way as she shot at him, but the Glavenus quickly swung its tail at her, forcing her to slide underneath it. "Adam, if we die from this, I'm gonna kill you in the afterlife!"

"We won't die from this!" Adam told her as he ran over to the Glavenus and Kazapple punched him in the face, swinging the Wyvern's head back and smacked it into a cliff wall, then he glanced over at the bladed tail coming at him as he rolled out of the way as the tail slammed into the cliff.

The Glavenus turned around and charged at Adam, attempting to headbutt him but Adam jumped out of the way and used a Kacrackle Slash with his claw. The Glavenus roared and swung his head, striking Adam and knocking him back, making him slide several feet.

Seryu clapped her hands, forming a Minigun and started shooting at the Glavenus. The Wyvern responded by charging forward and headbutting Seryu, slamming her into a wall while crushing the minigun underneath its foot.

Adam rushed over to the Glavenus, his Moosifer arm glowing with energy as he punched the Glavenus in the side with a Kaboomle Punch, the explosion hurting the Glavenus while also knocking Adam back. Seryu quickly getting out of the way and regrouping with Adam as they witnessed the Glavenus swinging its tail toward its mouth and chomping down on it, swiftly slicing through his teeth and reigniting the flames.

"What the hell?!" Seryu yelled.

"Impressive." Adam said.

"That's not impressive! That's insanity!"

Adam ignored Seryu as he rushed over to the Glavenus, causing Seryu to slump in annoyance before licking her metal arm and then shooting at the Glavenus from her mouth. The Brute Wyvern charged at the both of them, Adam dodging the charging brute while also ducking, then hit him with a Kazapple as the Glavenus bit down on Seryu, but she rolled out of the way, clapping her hands and pulling out two pistols as she proceeded to shoot it Lara Croft style but the Glavenus swung his tail, hitting Seryu.

"Aaagh!" Seryu cried, flying to a rock wall as her aura dissipated as a result. "Nnngh!"

The Glavenus walked toward Seryu, where Adam would run over and jumped on the back of the creature, slashing at its head and neck, causing the Glavenus to roar as it tried to knock Adam off of him as he tried to slam into walls to get him off, but Adam held on while Seryu rushed to her guns and started firing, being careful not to get too close.

Adam saw a massive rock wall up ahead as the Glavenus attempted to get him off by charging at it. He quickly jumped off and then threw down a Kacrackle on him, an iceberg striking him on the head as he landed on the ground with the Glavenus fell over and slid to the wall. It let out a growl as it got up, and shot off a fireball, but Adam stomped his foot on the ground, as a massive ice wall came up with Bounce being activated as it was reflected back and struck the Glavenus, where it roared in pain.

The Glavenus snarled, rushing toward Adam and Seryu, slicing its tail on the rocks to ignite the tail as he swung it at the duo, forcing them to jump back. "Sleep!" Adam said, throwing a snooze spell at the creature to make it crash down and fell asleep.

End BGM

"You… should've done that in the first place." Seryu said.

"I wanted to see what it was capable of… I'm very pleased with it." He said.

Seryu put her guns away, putting her hands on her knees shortly after. "Nnngh… I'm gonna feel that in the morning…" She said where Adam would call in a few men to come pick up the Glavenus.

Back at the HQ…

"According to my monster book… it's called a Glavenus, a Brute Wyvern." A Crimson Fang member said while a few medics were busy patching up Seryu.

"Hmph. It's certainly feisty, that's for sure." Adam said as the Glavenus was wide awake but held in chains and had a muzzle over his snout. "You are my new pet… and you will help me destroy the Schnees and their friends." He said as he turned to the blacksmith. "How long until that mask is ready?"

"It's going to take a while, I'm not used to making a giant mask for such a big creature."

"Take all the time you need." Adam said, then grabbed a branding iron. "Welcome to the Crimson Fang." He said, proceeding to brand it on its chest, causing it to roar in agony.

I think i'm on a Monster Hunter kick while playing Stories 2...
