"Who knew that eating these parasites would be enough to make these Metroids mature rapidly?" A Zebesian said, watching a few Metroids snack on some X-Parasites on SR-388.
"Indeed. It was a good idea to bring them here." Another nodded.
"It's one way to get rid of the pests." A Zebesian pulled out a radio signal. "How is the investigation down there?"
"It's incredible, I tell ya! Not only are the Metroids growing rapidly, but we also found ancient Chozo artifacts!"
"You have?"
"Yeah, the deeper you go, the ancient it gets!"
"Interesting. See what you can dig up further."
"…Hey uh… boss?" One of the Zebesians spoke up.
"Yeah?"
The Zebesian handed him a telescope. "Do you see anything… odd up there? As in space?"
"Let's see…" He would take a look. "Huh, it looks like the BSL Station just changed orbit. Eh, nothing to worry about." He tossed it to him. "Let me know if something more significant happens. Now then, let's see if we can get these Larval Metroids any more food."
Five minutes later…
"Boss! BOSS! Terrible news!" One of them exclaimed, handing him the telescope.
"What? I told you there's nothing to worry about." He said as he looked up into space. "You're just being over… ly… dramatic… huh, why did the BSL Station get bigger?"
"It's coming right for SR-388. We're estimating we have at least five minutes left until impact. Think we can everyone and the Metroids out?"
"We can get everything packed and out of here within four minutes."
"That's cutting it close."
"No, cutting it close would be getting out of here with fifteen seconds left on the clock."
"Fair."
"Now then… let's get the hell out of here." He grabbed the radio. "Attention all Space Pirates. Get your asses up to the surface PRONTO. We are leaving! The BSL Station is about to crash into the planet! I repeat, the BSL Station is about to crash into the planet! GET YOUR ASSES UP HERE NOW!"
Four minutes later…
"Move it! Move it people!" The Zebesian ordered as everyone crowded into their ship as the BSL Station got dangerously close. Metroids, weapons, Chozo artifacts, everything was all loaded up as the ship roared to life as it lifted off the ground and flew away.
"Alright, did we get everything? All the Metroids?" One of them asked.
"…Not all of them." Another said as they looked out the window to see a Larval Metroid moving on the ground, but it wasn't just any Larval Metroid…
It was a baby Metroid.
BGM: Volcano to Death (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom)
The Baby Metroid moved toward the ship, letting out small sharp cries, asking for them to come back. It even moved around in a perfect mobius strip-like fashion to try to get their attention.
"Do we have time to turn around and go back?"
"…If we do, we won't make it back out. Leave it."
The ship would fly off, all of them watching the small Metroid fade away from view as it was letting out loud shrill chirps, as if it was begging them to come back. It was also sounding like it was crying.
As the ship faded from view from the Metroid's eyes, the BSL Station would enter the atmosphere and pierced through the clouds as it was burning up. The Metroid continued to chirp loudly, still begging them to come back.
The BSL Station slammed into the ground, piercing through it as dust and debris was scattered about along with fires catching ablaze. The Baby Metroid let out one last shriek before a small explosion engulfed the Metroid.
The Zebesians watched on from their ship as SR-388 exploded in front of their eyes.
"We've grabbed all we could. Let us go back being thankful we made it out of there alive."

Days later, moments after Eggman finished his broadcast…
"Until then everyone… this is Dr. Eggman signing off! Oh, and Cinder? I'd watch your back if I were you. And as for my friend who helped me out in this endeavor, thank you so much for your help. OHOHOHOHOHOHO!"
Eggman turned off his broadcast and chuckled, smirking. "That… is checkmate." He said.
"I assume this friend wouldn't happen to be me?" A voice said as Eggman turned his chair around as Dimentio appeared before him. "After all, I told you about the secret about Salem's immortality and her war with Ozma, but it appears you seemed more interested in thanking Futaba for helping you out with hacking into the network."
Eggman smiled. "Despite us being on opposite sides, I legitimately enjoyed my time working with Futaba. If she ever feels the need to work with me again, or if she ever gets in in trouble with the law, which I have a feeling will happen if she gets exposed, my doors are open for her."
"Hmmhmhmhm, I suppose that despite being a bad man, you are quite the gentleman." Dimentio said.
"Indeed. I also would like to thank you for telling me about that fascinating little tidbit."
"And I thank you for not revealing who it was that gave you that tidbit, nor revealing that I come from another dimension."
"A dimension where everyone is made out of paper… truly fascinating."
"Indeed. Now then, I suppose you want payment for me helping you out." Dimentio said as he dug into his pocket. "While it is not much, I suppose this will suffice." He pulled out a blue Chaos Emerald and gave it to Eggman.
"Thank you. Have you ever thought about recreating the Chaos Heart and causing some havoc in this dimension?"
"Oh, while that would be massively entertaining… it would be so rather dull if I were to make a sequel to that… and besides, as far as I know, we don't have Pure Hearts. Oh well… I'll just happily adapt and perhaps find a way to destroy the dam of this dimension's Ruby Rose, Chaos Heart or not. I'll figure out a way to turn her into Chaos Ruby in this dimension… ahahahaha."
"Pray that you don't get in over your head. That is how you lost last time."
"Ah, did I truly lose when I plucked the petals off of my Ruby Rose? Hmmmhmmhmhm~" Dimentio chuckled. "Now then, if I may be so bold as to ask… would you form an alliance with Emperor Bowser?"
"Ah yes… you also told me about him." Eggman chuckled. "Personally, I say he's full of hot air. If he proceeds to get his skin back, I have a feeling he will fall hard just like all those years ago."
"Ahahahaha… you and I are in the same agreement! I'm just siding with him just for the sheer thrill of it."
"So you're in it for the ride?"
"Pretty much~! Who knows… I might do something that might make His Majesty angry… or maybe I'll go and give Salem a hard time. Whatever it may be, I'll be thoroughly enjoying it… and I will have the last laugh, even if I'm six feet under."
"Going out with a bang, eh?"
"Indeed! And now… I take my leave like a certain hedgehog. Ciao!" Dimentio said and then disappeared.
Eggman smirked. "Personally, I'd say Bowser is a far better king than that so called washed up emperor." He said, looking down at the Chaos Emerald with a grin. "Now, what to do with you?"
Meanwhile, at Atlas…
The Ice Phoenix landed on the ground as Esdeath and Emerald hopped off. "General Esdeath! Perfect timing." Najenda would come running up to her.
"Najenda, what's wrong?"
"It's Ironwood. He's on the warpath and he's about to do something that he may regret later."
Esdeath's expression darkened. "Where is he?"
"He's in his office. Sheele is trying to reason with him but…"
"Say no more, I'm going in." Esdeath said as she ran off. "By the way, Najenda… that's Emerald!" She said and then disappeared into the building.
Najenda turned to her. "You were with Cinder, right?"
"Not anymore…" Emerald mumbled as Najenda put her hand on her shoulder.
"Honestly, I say you did the right thing with abandoning her." Najenda smiled. "Come on, I'm sure the Winter Ops will love ya."
In Ironwood's office…
BGM: The 13th Discretion (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories)
"Don't you think you're just overreacting?" Sheele asked. "I mean, yeah, it's awful that everything in Remnant got exposed but I think this is overkill!"
"You don't get it!" Ironwood firmly planted his hands on his desk. "Whoever helped Eggman is a danger to everyone! They're too dangerous to be kept alive!"
"I'm with the general. Whoever this is, they need to go." Harriet said. "Alive or dead!"
"I advise that we take the necessary steps" Vine said, his hands in meditation. "Otherwise, we'll just go in blind and get ourselves killed over nothing."
"See? He gets it!" Leone exclaimed.
"Mmm… this isn't right…" Marrow mumbled and turned to Clover. "Clover, what do you think?"
"Honestly… I wish I knew…" Clover said.
"I'm with the general on this." Winter said. "Whoever helped Eggman exposed Remnant's secrets needs to be put on trial."
"Ohoho! No, there's not gonna be a trial at all when we reach them!" Harriet said… and then the doors swung up.
"General Ironwood… stop." Esdeath said as she walked into the room with Najenda and Emerald behind her.
"General Esdeath, glad you could make it." Ironwood said. "We were just discussing doing an all out war against the person who helped Eggman."
"What?! That's not- that's completely overkill!" Esdeath said.
"It's reasonable." Harriet said and saw Emerald. "Who's this?"
"Her name is Emerald." Esdeath said.
"Emerald… as in the Emerald who helped Cinder?!" Elm said in surprise.
"Harriet. Arrest her." Ironwood said.
"With pleasure." Harriet smirked as she started to run toward Emerald.
"STAY!" Marrow yelled, pointing his hand at Harriet where she was kept in place.
"Nnngh! Dammit Marrow…!"
"She was just a pawn! There's no reason to act like this!" Marrow said.
"Marrow's right. While tensions are high, she is not a suspect… and I have reason to believe that she switched sides with General Esdeath brought her in." Clover said.
"Of course tensions are high! We were hit with a massive data breach!" Lubbock exclaimed. "Whoever helped this Eggman guy has gotta go!"
"I agree." Wave nodded.
"Can't we just go about this calmly?" Bols suggested.
"How can we be calm about this!" Harriet exclaimed.
"Gaaaah!" Sheele put her hands in her hands in frustration. "Can we please just stop overreacting!"
"This person needs to go… they are public enemy number one for a reason." Ironwood said. "Jail time is too good for them."
"This is absurd!" Esdeath yelled.

"Ahahahahaha! My my, this is way better than soap operas!" A voice said as Dimentio appeared before them.
BGM: Dimentio, Charming Magician (Super Paper Mario)
"Who are you?" Ironwood demanded.
"Me? I'm the number one best snake charmer of the world, the man who loves nothing but chaos in this merry go round, the pleaser of all crowds… I am… Dimentio!"
"Dimentio?" Leone tilted her head.
"Yes, remember the name well~ Mhmhmhm~"
"What is this clown doing in this office?" Harriet demanded.
"Why… what a rude thing to say. I'm nothing more than a humble jester who has the inside scoop of this mess." Dimentio said.
"You do?" Elm asked. "Who is it?"
"Why, this person is in this very world… she comes from a different world and she's a bit of a hacker! She was busy hacking the network and soon reached out to Dr. Eggman for assistance. Why, she was trying to take it all down from the very beginning!"
"Who is she?" Ironwood asked.
Dimentio snapped his fingers as an image appeared. "Her name… is none other than Futaba Sakura. Remember this figure well~"

Winter let out a gasp. "Futaba?! She… she's a friend of Weiss…" She said as Esdeath turned to Winter with eyes widening. "I've met her… she was such a sweet girl… she must have had her reasonings as to why she did this…"
"She's… just a teenager…?!" Elm said.
"Teenager or not, she's gotta go!" Harriet said.
"Harriet!" Sheele scolded.
Ironwood's face darkened. "Where is she?"
"She's in Toad Town, celebrating her victory in Sojiro's Cafe. Hmhmhmhm~" Dimentio chuckled.
BGM: Bowser Appears! (Super Mario Galaxy)
Ironwood clenched his fists. "We are going to Toad Town… and we will hunt her down."
"No… I'm not going to let this happen!" Esdeath yelled.
"It's too late, Esdeath." Ironwood said as he started walking, cocking his gun. "We are going to Toad Town… and she's going to pay for it."
Winter immediately got in the way. "Surely, we can think of a better option!" She said. "She's just a kid!"
"She's a criminal!" Ironwood said as he kept walking. "And you are in my way." He said, backhanding her and sending her sliding but Elm would catch her.
Harriet let out a small gasp, looking at Winter and then back at Ironwood.
"Out of my way Esdeath…" Ironwood said.
"No! There has to be a better way!" Esdeath said as Ironwood would walk around her instead. "Don't you see what you're going to do?! You're just gonna harm a kid!"
"There are no other options. Futaba is a dangerous criminal and must be brought to justice… no matter the cost."

"DAMMIT FATHER, CAN YOU STOP BEING SO DAMN SHORT SIGHTED FOR TWO FUCKING SECONDS!" Esdeath snapped.
Everyone looked at Esdeath in surprise as even Ironwood stopped walking and turned to her. "Oooh, plot twist~!" Dimentio said.
"Ha ha, I knew it!" Marrow said excitedly with his tail wagging.
"No, you didn't." Harriet said.
Ironwood looked at Esdeath, not even realizing she's quickly approaching her. "This is for the good of Remnant. She needs to be held responsible for her act-"
SLAP!
Esdeath gave him a glare as Ironwood looked at her in surprise, the shimmer in his eyes returning. "Stop letting your semblance control you." She said, tears forming in her eyes. "I thought your vacation made you a better man… turns out I was wrong." She said and walked off… but Ironwood grabbed her by the arm.
"Wait…" Ironwood said as he pulled her into a hug. "I'm… sorry. I wasn't thinking straight… please… forgive me for my shortsightedness."
"D-dad… I…"
"Oh, this is so very touching… but let's get on with the plot~" Dimentio said, snapping his fingers as suddenly Ironwood and Esdeath found themselves being separated as a box formed around Esdeath.
"Wh-what the…?!" Esdeath wondered as Dimentio snapped his fingers as the box exploded.
"AAAAAAAAAAGH!" She screamed as the powerful explosion was enough to shatter her aura.
"ESDEATH!" Ironwood yelled as everyone looked on in shock, and then Dimentio snapped his fingers again, this time an electric bolt hit Ironwood in the head. "Nnngh!" He grunted… before the shimmer in his eyes disappeared again.
"Hmhmhmhm~ Nastasia wasn't the only one with brainwashing powers… I just didn't think I'd ever have the need to use it~" He said as Ironwood cocked his gun. "Now then, let us go pay Toad Town a visit~" He said as he and Ironwood disappeared.
"Shit!" Harriet exclaimed. "He just left…!"
"We…" Esdeath stumbled, holding on to her shoulder. "We need to… get to Toad Town… before it's too late…"
"But how? None of the ships we take are fast enough, your aura is depleted…" Sheele whispered. "What are we gonna do?"
"There's a Warp Pipe near Mantle." Kurome said. "It'll take us to Mushroom Hills… still a bit far away but it's better than nothing!"
"Then… let's take it…" Esdeath said.
"Are you sure you can go in your condition?" Emerald asked.
"It's better I go… then not going at all." Esdeath said. "Let's go…"
At Sojiro's Cafe…
"I… I thought I was working with Tails…" Futaba sniffed. "Remnant's network was all wonky so I thought I'd fix it… and yeah, I fixed that Cinder thing but… I didn't think it'd go this far!"
Sojiro sat down with her, handing her a cup of mocha. "SonicFan70 was a good disguise… even I would have believed it was a good friend. This isn't your fault… true, you did hack into Remnant's network but you did it for a good reason."
"I know!" Futaba sniffed, rubbing her eyes. "And now look… I'm the one responsible for the chaos that's unfolding right now."
Akira walked into the cafe. "How is she?"
"Not well." Sojiro said. "How's everyone else holding up?"
"Everyone's helping out to try and calm everyone down. Sae's helping them out too. Thought I'd drop by and see how Futaba's holding up."
"I'm so stupid!" Futaba said, face desking on the table.
"No, you're not stupid…" Akira said. "You're very smart… heck, I would have believed Tails was SonicFan70 too."
"Where did the seventy come in anyway?" Sojiro wondered.
"I dunno… seventy alternative accounts?" Akira shrugged.
"Ahahahaha!"
"Huh?" The three turned to see Dimentio appearing in the room.
"And so I arrive like a man spider arriving fashionable late to a disaster!" Dimentio said. "I am Dimentio… remember the name well~ For it will be someone's last." He then snapped his fingers as the brainwashed Ironwood appeared before them.
"Futaba Sakura… you are under arrest."
BGM: Tension (Persona 5)
Futaba let out a gasp. "No!"
Sojiro stood up and walked over to Ironwood. "Look pal, this is just a massive misunderstanding. Just put that gun down and-" Ironwood aimed the gun at Sojiro.
"Do not resist."
"…Alright, then I'm left with no choice."
Ironwood nodded. "Good, because we can settle this peace-" Sojiro slugged him in the face. "Mmmph!" He grunted as Sojiro kept punching him, even going out of his way to slug Ironwood in the gut as he would weave his head from a punch that Ironwood countered with as Sojiro would deliver an uppercut… and then Ironwood would knee him in the gut and kicked him toward the counter.
"Dad!" Futaba shrieked.
"Rrrgh… Persona!" Akira exclaimed, immediately going into his Phantom Thief attire as he would rush toward Ironwood.
Dimentio chuckled. "Come one, come all, and welcome to the show~ See where joy and happiness goooo toooo… cry~! Come one, come all, it's free admission to see the fall into perdition where all hope lies~!" He let out a chuckle, watching Ironwood grab Joker by the throat. "Goodness, whoever decided to make a song about me deserves accolades…"
Ironwood threw Joker to some tables, knocking down some chairs in the process as he would turn to Futaba. "You have some nerve hacking into the network. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"I didn't know it'd get this bad! I was just wanting to see if I could spruce up the network and make it better! And for the record, I thought I was working with Tails! NOT Eggman!"
"That is not good enough!" Ironwood said, aiming his gun at Futaba. "You are too dangerous to be kept alive. What else will you hack into! You must be stopped before you do any more damage!"
"Is this necessary?! This seems like overkill!" Futaba exclaimed.
"…Yes." Ironwood said as he pulled the trigger… but in a flash, Futaba would disappear. "What?!"
He would turn around and see Harriet holding on to Futaba in a corner. "Stay there, kid." Harriet said and then turned to Ironwood and then the Ace, Winter Ops and Emerald would run in.
"Stop this now!" Sheele pleaded.
"Get out of my way." Ironwood said.
"You're brainwashed…" Winter said, reading her sword. "We're just going to have to knock it out of you!"
"My my my, there's too many people here~" Dimentio said. "Perhaps I should clear the room a bit. I'll take the nobodies." He snapped his fingers as the Ace Ops and Emerald disappeared.
"What?!" Kurome exclaimed.
WIth the Ace Ops and Emerald…
"Rrrgh… where are we?" Emerald asked.
"Someplace… green." Marrow said.
"Up and down on this merry-go round~ Destinations you'll never know~ Now we find it's the end of the line~ Here we go, it's the ultimate show~!"
Dimentio appeared before them. "Welcome to the newly revamped Dimension D… now in 3D! Here, I am at full power and I will proceed to effortlessly destroy you. I'm at 256 times the power! This place powers me up. Ahahahaha~!"
"You're just bluffing." Harriet said with a low growl. "It's people like you is why everyone hates clowns."
"Jester! There's a massive difference."
"Oh yeah? What is it?"
Dimentio formed magic in his hands. "Jesters are magical. Clowns just simply exist~"
Clover smirked. "Alright, if we're fighting you here, it makes things a bit easier. Ace Ops! Emerald! Let's show them a thing or two!"
"Do we have to let the pawn work with us?" Harriet asked.
"I'm no one's pawn." Emerald said, pulling out her guns. "Let's take him down."
"So you all betray me." Ironwood said, taking out his gun. "Consider this my parting gift."
"No… we're not betraying you. We're saving you!" Esdeath said as Winter tossed her her second sword for her to use as Joker would hop back in, shaking it off.
"So be it." Ironwood glared.
BGM: Hero (RWBY) (Start at 0:59)
The Brainwashed and the Magician - Ironwood and Dimentio
Kurome rushed toward Ironwood, slashing at Ironwood but he blocked with his iron arm and would swiftly punched Kurome, sending her sliding but she would quickly recover as Leone would take a leap and would punch at Ironwood, but he would roll out of the way as Esdeath and Winter would run over and slashed him, sending him toward the counter as he would turn his to a basket filled with cream as he would grab it and threw it at the women, as they would slash through the basket… only for cream to get in their eyes as Ironwood would backhand the two and would shoot at Sheele, but she blocked with her scissors.
Dimentio would swiftly throw lightning bolts at Harriet, but she would swiftly dodge them as she was right behind him as she jumped up to punch him, but he teleported away and would throw magic at Harriet and then he was grabbed by Vine's Aura Vines, where Elm jumped in and swung her hammer down. "Mmph!" Dimentio grunted as he teleported away, clapping his hands together and splitting him up into clones. "Ahahaha!"
Ironwood used an uppercut to knock Lubbock into the air while also tearing away his wires as Najenda had Susano'o swing his weapon at him but Ironwood would grab it with his hands as he would shoot at Susano'o. "Rrrgh!" Susano'o grunted as he backed away as Ironwood would jump away right as he swung his weapon, completely destroying the counter as Joker, Bols and Bulat flanked him and grabbed a hold of him from behind, but Ironwood would pry them off and throw them across the cafe.
"Take this!" Wave exclaimed, throwing water balls at him but Ironwood batted them away as he shot at Wave but he formed a water barrier to block the attacks as Esdeath came running in and slugged him in the face and then Winter called out her Pheromosa as it ran over and kicked Ironwood, but he would grab her leg and threw her across the counter, slamming into the coffee machine and destroying it as coffee poured onto Pheromosa.
Dimentio snapped his fingers, creating boxes but Emerald would jump out of the way and climb one up, shooting at Dimentio but he would form a barrier around him and would throw fireballs at her but she would slide underneath them and then shot at him, but he teleported behind her and then formed fireballs in his hands… until Vine threw his weapon and struck him in the back as Emerald turned around and kicked him in the face to send him flying where Elm gave Clover and Harriet a boost as they would swiftly kick/punch him.
"Alright, this calls for an extra punch…" Joker said. "Satanael!" He yelled as Satanael appeared behind him and then unleashed Black Viper on Ironwood who was backing up from punches from Esdeath and Leone.
"Mmmph!" Ironwood grunted as he aimed his gun at Joker.
"EXTASE!"
"STAY!"
"Rrrgh!" Dimentio grunted as he found himself stuck as Emerald would throw her weapons at Dimentio, wrapping it around him as she would pull the chains to drag him away where Marrow would freely shoot at him as Elm would then swing her hammer down to crush the jester.
"ENOUGH!" Dimentio yelled, teleporting away and then started to form magic in his hands. "This is where you-" Suddenly, everyone disappeared as he was surrounded by fire, making him gasp. "Mmph! What?!" He would look around in surprise. "What is this sorcery?"
"What's going on?" Elm asked as Clover would see Emerald using her semblance on Dimentio.
"…An opportunity." Clover said with a smirk, using the fishing pole from his weapon to snag Dimentio by the collar and reeled him in as Harriet would come running in and punching Dimentio in the face, and then Emerald would run toward Dimentio, Elm giving Emerald a boost as she would front flip before axe kicking him to the ground.
"AAAAARGH!"
"Hnnngh!" Ironwood grunted, feeling the brainwashing disappear right as Winter and Kurome slashed through him. "Aaagh!" He exclaimed as he fell on both knees.

"I cry uncle! Mercy!" Dimentio exclaimed as Clover picked Dimentio up by the collar.
"If this area powers you up to 256, then I can imagine it can power us up as well… leaving us evenly matched."
"Hahahaha…" I could've sworn I got rid of that part! He thought. "Indeed… you're remarkably perceptive…" He said as he snapped his fingers as they were brought back to Sojiro's.
"So he's back… how did you beat him?" Winter asked.
"I dunno… Emerald was just looking at him and he was acting like he was disoriented!" Marrow said.
"Hahaha… sounds to me like it was a semblance…" Dimentio said as he stood back up, dusting himself off. "Well, that was fun… but I believe it's my time to lea- mmph!" He grunted as Harriet put him into a chokehold.
"You're not going anywhere, clown." Harriet said.
"Ahahaha… you forget I have teleportation! See you around, rabbit girl!" He said as he disappeared.
"Agh! I'm not even a Faunus, you cree-… and he's gone." Harriet shook her head.
"So, you make people disoriented?" Clover asked.
"More like make them hallucinate." Emerald casually said.
"Sounds to be that is a worthy semblance." Vine said calmly.
"Indeed!" Elm nodded.
"Damn girl… I was wrong about ya." Harriet chuckled. "I mean, if you want, you could hang with us."
"Be an Ace Op…?" Emerald blushed. "Um… thank you but I think I'll stick with these dorks." She said, referring to the Winter Ops.
"Aww…" Marrow pouted.
"Dude, we're still gonna see her… just… in a different op." Harriet pointed out.
"Oh!" Marrow wagged his tail. "You're definitely right about that!"
"Uuugh…" Ironwood rubbed his head, getting up and stumbling. "What the hell… what happened? Why am I in a cafe?"
"You were brainwashed by that jester." Emerald said. "Don't worry, I took him down."
"Hey!" Elm said.
"Okay, they helped too." Emerald said, sheepishly rubbing her head.
Ironwood turned to her and slowly nodded. "Forgive me for being hard headed." He said to her as he turned to Esdeath. "Esdeath… I didn't hurt you, did I?"
"Not too bad…" Esdeath said, rolling her shoulder. "That metal arm hits like a brick though."
"That's good… look, about earlier…"
"No, don't go there." Esdeath said as she hugged him with him returning the hug.
"Dating?" Akira whispered to Winter who was busy cleaning Pheromosa with a wash cloth.
"Adopted daughter, basically."
"Ah."
"Now… there's something that needs to be done." Ironwood said and looked at the corner. "Futaba."
"Oh dear…"
"No no, let me…" Esdeath said as she walked over to her. "No offense, but you tend to be a bit of a hardass at times when you're interrogating someone."
Ironwood sweatdropped. "Am I really that bad?"
"Weeeeell…" The Ace/Winter Ops started to say while Emerald snickered.
"Seriously, I'm not that bad!"
"Wait wait wait, hold up! I know my rights here!" Futaba exclaimed. "Besides… uh… I'm from a different universe since I'm not from Remnant. So basically… I'd be answering to Japan's police department. This isn't your jurisdiction!"
"Mmph!" Ironwood blushed in embarrassment.
"Ouuuuuuch." Leone and Harriet said, the latter grimacing.
"Okay… maybe I am that bad…"
"That said, since you came out of your way to interrogate me, I might as well tell you guys that your network is atrocious." Futaba said.
"What? What do you mean?" Esdeath asked.
"Seriously! The moment I break through these puzzling firewalls, I'm greeted with a damn virus that, once activated, would cause all the robots in Remnant to go haywire and destroy everything in sight! Seriously, I'm glad I deleted that otherwise it'd be Terminator all over again!"
"There was a what?" Ironwood asked.
"It had mostly to do with the Atlesian robots, but I had a feeling it'd infect the other robots in Remnant too… aaaand since the Smash Mansion is part of Remnant now, I'm reason to believe that Mega Man and ROB would also be infected. So you're welcome for me getting rid of that junk."
"So why did you hack into the network?" Emerald asked.
"I hack when I'm bored and this was one of those moments. I did the same to Japan's network too. Set up firewalls, made it better… all that fun stuff. I thought I would do the same with Remnant, so a little THANK YOU would be appeciated!" Futaba said in annoyance, her arms folded in a huff. "Seriously… I was busy setting up new firewalls while I was missing Sea5ons making their debut. Honestly, instead of shooting me like a brainwashed trigger happy idiot, you should be thanking me. Seriously, do you people not have any manners or is Remnant always "Shoot first, always ask questions WAAAAAAAAAY later"?"
"Um… ahem… thank you…?" Ironwood said, unsure what to say.
"There, that's better." Futaba said. "You're welcome for new firewalls being added and me attempting to make it look prettier." She would then slump. "And then… I find that list. You know, the one where Eggman showed to the world and possibly other universes connected to Remnant's network?" She sighed. "I seriously thought it was Tails… Eggman made me believe SonicFan70 was Tails… I was led to believe that!"
Winter put her hand over her mouth. "So… you thought a friend was working with you… and you didn't know it was Eggman this entire time?"
BGM: Scent of Silence (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories)
"I thought we were making the network a better place… even when we were getting through tricky firewalls, I even said "Thank you, Tails" and he said "No problem", so I thought it was definitely him!" She said as tears swelled in her eyes.
"Oh my word…" Sheele whispered.
"I… I didn't mean for all this to happen… I thought I was just trying to make the network more organized! I… I didn't mean for Eggman to just… tap into the network and cause all this chaos to happen! Now everyone is running scared, tensions are gonna be rising, Salem is… I don't even KNOW!"
"Futaba…" Esdeath quietly said.
"And now… everything that will transpire on Remnant, anything bad that'll happen…" Tears fell from her eyes. "Everything will be my fault! I didn't mean for this to happen or did I think it would cause… this! I thought I was doing the right thing and I thought by stealing Torchwick's heart, he'd just reveal his bosses name! But no… Eggman had to go and… and do all of that!" She said through her tears, quietly sobbing. "It's all my fault… everything that happens in Remnant… it… it'll be on my shoulders…"
Clover would elbow Ironwood. "Mmph! What? …Oh…" Ironwood walked over to her and knelt down. "Maybe it's not that bad. Can you hack into the network and kick Eggman off the servers?"
"…I tried…" Futaba said as she brought up her laptop and started typing in the network. "I thought I could try developing more firewalls to get my mind off things but…" She showed them the screen, seeing Eggman's logo. "He has full control of the network… I can't even do anything to get him out of there because he made it impossible to hack into. I contacted Tails and he's coming up with nothing either."
"Maybe it's not so bad." Emerald spoke up. "Just hook up a hard drive and save the data from there."
"…It got corrupted." Futaba mumbled as everyone's eyes widened. "Any solution I've tried… it's all for naught." Futaba quietly said as more tears fell.
"Oooooh shit…" Esdeath whispered.
"So that means… Eggman has control of the entire network…" Harriet said.
"I'm so… so sorry…" Futaba quietly sobbed.

Meanwhile, in Skyworld…
"There we go… easy does it…" The nurse whispered, applying bandages on Yang after patching her up. "There you go! Now you're feeling better!"
"Thank you!" Yang smiled as she walked out of the infirmary and walked over to Ruby who was looking at her scroll. "How's it going?"
"Not well… everyone is scared or angry… Grimm are going everywhere…" Ruby mumbled. "Who could've done this? Who helped Eggman?"
"It… was Futaba." Yang said as Ruby looked at her in surprise.
"What?!"
"She was just trying to make the network better and she believed Tails was helping her out, but in reality… it was Eggman, and no one knew it was actually him."
"Well, with a name like SonicFan70… it'd be a perfect disguise." Palutena said. "Mmm… how does one calm down an entire planet?"
"I'm not sure…" Pit folded his arms. "We have to figure something out!"
"Oh, what would mom do in a situation like this… or Uncle Qrow?" Ruby wondered.
Meanwhile…
"RAAAAAH!" Qrow would throw a heavy punch into Ozpin's face.
"Mmmph!" Ozpin grunted.
"So you mean to tell me I've been working with you in some shady business?!" Qrow growled. "I was only aware of the Maiden project, I had no idea that you were having us fight your divorce!"
"It's not a divorce between me and Salem!"
"Oh yeah, then what do you call this then? A lover's quarrel? Couple's counseling?! Either way I look at it, Oz… it's not good! And you mean to tell me that witch can't die?!"
"She can't die but that doesn't mean she can't be defeated. An acquaintance once told me that."
"Ugh… hell with it!" Qrow walked away.
"Qrow, listen to me, I did this for a reason!"
Qrow said nothing as he held his arm up high and flipped him off while his back was still turned to him and then went into the elevator. "Go to hell." He said, hitting a button and then going down the elevator.
Ozpin let out a sigh. "Well… this can't get any worse, can it?"
"Ozpin!" Glynda would speak up on the intercom.
"Yes, Glynda?"
"Someone is coming to see you. They haven't spoken to you in a while."
"Is it Hazel again?"
"No… it's…"
"Hello, Ozpin."
Ozpin let out a gasp. "That voice…" He would turn his head and see Summer standing behind him. "Summer?!" He said in surprise… and then Summer grabbed him by the collar and shoved him into a wall. "Nngh!"
"We need to talk."
Back in Skyworld…
"…Well, your uncle just slugged Ozpin in the face and now your mother is having a talk with the professor by shoving him into a wall." Palutena said, looking at her scepter. "Beacon's in chaos right now."
"Oh great…" Yang sighed.
"Mmm, can't there be another option?" Pit wondered.
"Aaaaagh!" Ruby moved her hands through her hair. "Think, brain… THINK! Give me a good idea or two!" She yelled.
"Don't hurt yourself!" Yang said.
"Well, can you think of anything?!"
"Um… no…?"
"Agh, you're no help!" Ruby pouted. "Come on… where's Weiss when you need her? She can probably think of something…" She teared up. "Right…? Or Blake or… Nyx… I don't even know what to do!"
With Weiss…
"Alright, thanks Nitori." Weiss said as Nitori gave her a thumbs up.
"Just because Bald 'Stache took control of the network doesn't mean he doesn't have access to this. Heh, gotta love private networks!"
"Indeed." Weiss aimed her scroll at her target. "Alright, we're live in five… four… three… two!"
Suddenly, everyone's screens in Remnant lit up at once, taking them live to Sea5ons.
"Hello everyone. We thought it would be best to calm everyone's fears." Whitley said.
"While it is true that crap hit the fan big time and now we know Salem is out there… mass hysteria isn't the answer." Ling chimed in.
"Discourse is how she'll win. She wants this to happen." Chelsea spoke up.
"So chill out!" Cardin added.
"We thought we would calm your fears by playing a song or two that would calm everyone's mind, and maybe cheer someone up too!" Kokoro smiled.
"While Salem is out there, I don't think we should worry about her for now. All that negativity will attract the Grimm. So we hope this will ease your fears." Whitley said.
"And with that, let's get this party started!" Ling grinned.
BGM: Forward (Project SEKAI: COLORFUL STAGE! Ft. Hatsune Miku)
"What in the…?" Ruby wondered.
"Oh… this is a nice song." Yang said.
"Oooh, the lyrics are popping up… except I don't speak or read Japanese." Pit said. "…Huh, why does that sound ironic?"
"Hmm, oooh…" Palutena mused. "I see… the lyrics are saying something about never lose hope and keep moving forward."
"Keep moving forward…" Ruby whispered, listening to the song as she let out a gasp. "That's it! Palutena, take me to Beacon! I have an idea!" She said and turned to Yang. "Yang, you live streamed Sea5ons, so you might as well livestream what I'm about to do!"
"…Ooookay?" Yang tilted her head.
"Just trust me!"
Yang nodded. "Got it."
At Sojiro's…
"Hey, that's a nice song." Sojiro said as he was cleaning up the mess.
Futaba sighed. "This… this calms me down a bit… not by much though." She said, as she was being hugged by both Sheele and Esdeath. "Love them though."
At Beacon…
"How the hell is this supposed to cheer us up?!" A student wondered.
"I have no idea!"
"How about you shut the hell up because I'm despairing over here!"
"Oh, you want to despair?! I'll show you despair!"

Ruby and Yang landed on the ground from a heavenly light. "Oh no, it's bad…" Yang said.
"I got this." Ruby said. "You got it ready to go?"
"Yeah." Yang nodded as she texted Weiss.
"Hey, can you tell them to stop? Ruby wants to make a broadcast."
"Huh? Uh… sure!"
"And now for our next-… oh, hold on, something just came up." Whitley said through a student's phone.
"Alright, let her do it." - Weiss
Yang looked at Ruby. "Go for it, sis." She said, hitting the button to livestream it… and then Ruby took out her weapon, pointing it to the sky and fired a shot.
"ALRIGHT, THAT'S ENOUGH!" She yelled, as everyone looked at her in surprise. "Yeah, it's bad out there right now and on top of that, crap has hit the fan big time! But we shouldn't be blaming each other OR the professors who kept us in the dark! Ozpin may not have deserved to keep us all in the dark with Salem, or the relics or his own origins… but he once told me he's made many more mistakes that he's done in the past. Wouldn't we have made the same choices if we were in his position? The fact is that we can't change the past no matter how badly we want to, so stop trying to argue like idiots on television! You're all better than that, especially those who think looting is a good idea during a crisis such as this!
Can't you see that Salem wants us freaking out like this, people?! This is how she's gonna win! So what if she can't be killed, that doesn't mean we can't beat her! Even immortals get tired! We can argue about whatever we want, but that's not gonna change ANYTHING if Salem is out there, watching us crumble to nothing! Now are we going to sit here and let Salem win or are we just gonna stick it to her? When she comes… and we know she will… we'll be ready for her! We're huntsman and huntresses. We are BETTER THAN THIS! Don't you agree?!"
There was silence, everyone looked at each other and not sure what to say. Come on… work with me… She thought as the silence felt like it was going on for hours. Tears started to swell in her eyes. Don't tell me this was all for naught…
"I'm with her!" Yang said, raising her hand.
Ruby sighed. "Thanks Yang, but I feel as if-"
"And so am I!" A voice said as Ruby let out a gasp as she turned to see Coco approaching her from the audience. "Yeah, it sucks that this Salem hag can't be killed, but you know what? To hell with that! We can't go about our day moping and pinning the blame on others! That's not who we are! We're better than this! We can worry about Salem another day but right now… we need to put our petty differences aside and give that Salem bitch the middle finger!"
Coco raised Ruby's arm up. "I stand with Ruby!"
"So do we!" Velvet said as VFY approached them.
A heavenly light came down as Palutena and Pit landed on the ground. "We stand with her too!"
Rosalina teleported in with Ibuki next to her. "So do we!" Rosalina said.
"We may not be huntresses… nor do we originate from this world." Ibuki said but she raised her guitar up in the air. "BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE AREN'T AS ONE IN THIS WORLD!"
BGM: Departure to the Front Lines (Naruto Shippuden)
"Humans! Faunus! Angels! Pokemon! It doesn't matter who we are, but we breathe as one! Ibuki knows uniting everyone isn't going to happen automatically overnight… but you know what? THIS IS A START AND IBUKI IS PROUD OF IT!"
"Guys…" Ruby teared up, overcome with emotion.
"Ruby…" Gloria gripped her Fire Flower tightly in her room, smirking. "This is why I love ya."
Hop wrapped his arm around a sulking Bede. "Come on, mate! Ruby's right!"
Bede chuckled, standing up and gripping his Pokeball tightly. "Indeed she is."
Marnie stood up from her couch, activating the blade in her arm while wiping the tears from her eyes with her other arm. "I'm with you guys."
"To hell with Salem!" Guzma exclaimed. "She is gonna regret messing with destruction in human form! WHO ARE WE!"
"TEAM SKULL!" They yelled as they did their poses.
Sora grinned. "Now this is more like it!" He said. "We're with you guys!"
"Heck yeah!" Lea said, all of them raising their Keyblades/Sitar/Claymore in the air.
"I got an idea!" Emerald said. "Can't you like… build a new network from scratch? Replace the old one with a new one!"
"But… that'll take time." Futaba said.
"Yeah, well, to hell with that." Emerald said. "It's better than moping around and doing nothing."
"Yeah… you're right."
"We'll have your friends make a new one." Ironwood said. "For now, I suggest you take it easy… you've been through a lot for the past hour."
"Ruby… you sure know how to steal the spotlight." Weiss said with a chuckle as Sea5ons, Blake and Nitori were with them, while the latter was syncing the network to Gensokyo with the help of Yukari.
Marisa gripped her mini hakkero with a smirk. "Knew there was a reason to like that kid!"
Reimu rested her gohei to her shoulder. "We're with her."
"You heard her!" Peach said as she and the Mario Bros were standing in Toad Town square. "There's no reason to start acting uncivilized with each other!"
Samus cocked her arm cannon. "I'm ready to kick that woman's ass when the time comes." She said as she was hearing the Smashers cheering.
Link gripped his sword tightly, bringing it close to his face. "We're with you too, Ruby… it's just the strength we needed." He said.
Pyrrha was sitting in a fetal position, tears swelling in her eyes but a hand reached out toward her as she looked up to see Jaune as Nora and Ren were behind him. "Come on, we can't let this woman get to us."
The amazon formed a smile, wiping her tears. "Yeah… yeah, you're right." She said, gripping Jaune's hand and he pulled her up.
"That's my girl." Summer smiled.
Qrow was about to take a sip of alcohol but stopped. "Meh." He said, putting the glass down. "That little squirt has a way with words."
"That's my girl!" Tai said proudly.
Back at Beacon, Ruby felt completely overwhelmed as JINX and ATM were right with her as well, with the Beacon students cheering her on. She then raised her scythe up high. "We are NOT going to fall to Salem!" She declared as everyone cheered.

A few days later…
Meta Knight appeared on Brinstar Depths, waiting for his opponent as Isabelle hopped in. "You ready?" Meta Knight asked.
"Ready~!" Isabelle smiled.
"Three! Two! One! GO!"
BGM: Brinstar Depths (Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl/3DS/Wii U/Ultimate)
Meta Knight would fly forward, quickly delivering slashes at Isabelle, but she would shield and then whacked him on the head with her toy hammer.
As the two were fighting, Master Hand was watching the fight. "Any minute now… Kraid should be coming up and rotating the stage." He said.
…But Kraid didn't even show up.
"Huh?" Master Hand wondered. "Odd… hey brother, we do have Stage Hazards on for this match, yes?"
"Let me check!" Crazy Hand said as he turned on the menu. "Let's see here… items appearing infrequently, Smash Meter on… yup, the Stage Hazards are on!"
"Then why isn't Kraid showing up?"
"Well… don't look at me, I didn't give him a sleeping pill again!"
"That's pecu-… what do you mean again?"
"Whaaaaat? Nooo, I didn't say sleeping pill! You must've been hearing things!" He said, casually and "innocently" whistling.
"Mmm… STOP THE MATCH!" He boomed right as Isabelle was thrown to a capsule.

"Huh?" The two would turn to see Master Hand flying into the stage as he would fly down to the lava. "Hello? Kraid? Helloooooo!" He said as he would dive into the lava… and then came back out. "Oh no! It's bad! KRAID'S GONE!"
"It wasn't me! …For once." Crazy Hand said.
Master Hand folded his fingers. "Hey, wait a minute… Kraid is gone… Mother Brain hasn't been able to be summoned for a while… and on top of that, Ridley and Dark Samus have been conversing in secre-… oooh nooo…"
"On the one hand, this is exciting! …On the other, this is REAAAAALLY BAD!" Crazy Hand said.
Meanwhile, at Bowser's Castle…
Bowser sat down on his throne, mumbling to himself about something… when suddenly, the doors slammed open. "Wah!" He yelped as he saw Ridley and Dark Samus approaching him. "Oh what do you two want!"
"We're here to discuss something with you." Ridley said.
"Your first attempt to conquer the galaxy ended in failure." Dark Samus said.
"Yeah, I know."
"So, we are here to negotiate." Ridley said. "We're going to do this properly… and we need your help."
"Why would I want to do another galactic conquest? As fast as I know, I'm done with space for the time being."
"Like I said, we are going to do things right." Ridley said. "And we are recruting you so you can see how we do things."
"Alright, let me just go kidnap Peach real quick."
"No. We're not going to kidnap her. That's always been your downfall… so why not conquer the universe first and then kidnap her?" Dark Samus suggested.
"Sorry, no can do…" Bowser waved it off. "I've got better things to do… go back to your galatic conquest whatever and I'll do things my way."
Ridley chuckled darkly. "We were hoping you'd say that." He said as he turned to Dark Samus who nodded and menacingly approached Bowser.
"What are you doing? Get away from me!" Bowser said as Dark Samus snapped her fingers as phazon vines wrapped around Bowser's arms. "Rrrgh! What the…?!"
"We weren't asking you." Dark Samus said as she got closer to Bowser.
"Stay back! I'm warning you!"
The screen faded to black.
