Some Time Ago…
A shiny Charmander let out a yawn as it was resting on a rock. It got up and streched a little bit. "Char!" The Charmander cheerfully smiled as he hopped off of his rock, his stomach growling as he went off to forage for some berries.
He walked through the forest, watchinng a few Wurmple scurry about, a Kakuna latched onto a tree and waited, a Butterfree flew overhead carefree as can be. "Bella Bell!" A few Bellossom danced happily with a few Jumpluff accompanied them.
Charmander found his favorite bush and pulled out a few berries, happily munching on them as he walked away as a Furret ran past him with a Linoone playfully chasing after it. Once he ate the berries, Charmander continued to wander around the forest until he came across a few Tropius.
One Tropius spotted Charmander and smiled at him, kneeling down as Charmader gently picked off a banana and used Ember to roast the banana, then peeled it off and threw the peel away as he ate the banana while a Gulpin went over and ate the roasted banana peel up.
Charmander would soon come across a watering hole as he would happily join a Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Phanpy, Cufant and even a Cyndaquil. A Stantler, Deerling and a Sawsbuck would join right after as Charmander would lean down and drink the water as a few Chinchou and Ducklett swam around.
The Deerling's ears twitched as it looked up, curiously looking around before sensing something amiss. "Deer… Deerling!"
"Phan Phan!" Phanpy cried as the Pokemon took off running, the Squirtle diving into the water and hiding along with the Chinchou as the Ducklett flew away, leaving the Charmander all by himself.
"Char…?" Charmander turned his head, curious to see where his friends went before shrugging and went back to drinking… and then suddenly a net was shot at him and wrapped around him. "CHAR?! CHAAAAAAAAAAR!"
"Well, how about that!" A poacher chuckled as he approached the Charmander. "Not every day I come across a different colored Charmander." He said as he picked up the screaming Charmander. "Come along you… I think you'll give me quite a bit of cash. Heheheh…"
"Hmm, yes, this Charmander is quite a rarity indeed… hmm… mint condition, no scratches on it… I'll give you 900,000 Pokedollars for this thing."
"900,000 Pokedollars?! I'll take it!"
The two of them shook hands as the poacher gave the buyer the shiny Charmander while the latter gave him the cash, then the two went their separate ways. "Come along you, we're gonna toughen you up." He said.
"Char…" Charmander whimpered as they went on a small journey until they stopped at a cliff.
"Now, you see that nest right there? I want you to go see if you can draw the mother out." He ordered as the Charmander gulped. "Now!" He kicked the Charmander away as he yelped, falling flat on his face and whimpered before he got back up and timidly approached the nest.
"Char… Char…" Charmander whimpered as he got closer to the nest.
"Snease!" A Sneasel climbed up on the nest to snag an egg before spotting Charmander. "Sneasel… Snease!"
"Ah, a Sneasel… not what I was aiming for but this is good. Fry it up!" He ordered as Charmander hesitated but the Sneasel lunged at him, ready to use Fury Swipes on him, forcing Charmander to use Ember on the Sneasel, only it would take the Ember like it was nothing and bashed the Charmander.
"Char!" Charmander grunted as the Sneasel smirked and then walked off with the egg.
"Bloody useless thing! You cost me a Sneasel!" He kicked the Charmander harshly. "Rrrgh, let's go. We'll find another one."
Later into the night, Charmander waited until his captor was asleep and with a smirk, he quickly escaped… but not before using Ember on his tent out of revenge as he disappeared into the tall grass. It wasn't until he reached the trees was when he heard the sound of screaming from a burning man. "Char!" Charmander nodded and disappeared into the forest.
He wasn't sure where he was, but he wanted to go back home… to his rock. He didn't recognize this forest so it was safe to assume he was far away from home. Not a problem, he did like that sense of adventure. He looked up into the night sky to see the stars before deciding to head west. Surely, his home would be in that direction.
It wasn't long until he grew tired and decided to take a nap at the entrance of the cave. However, as he walked into the entrance, he stepped over a wire and then was caught in a net trap. "CHAR?!"
"Well, what do we have here?" Another poacher approached the Charmander. "Ah, a different colored Charmander! Perfect… I know just what to do with you."
The following day, the poacher decided to toughen up the Charmander… by having him go toe to toe with his Rhyperior. Charmander would dodge a few hits and tried to hit him with a Scratch attack, but the Rhyperior would grab him by the tail and slammed him into the ground, then used Stone Edge.
"Again." The poacher ordered as Charmander fought the Rhyperior again, only it would backhand him into a tree. "Hmph. You're weak… and you'll never be as tough as Rhyperior here. That said, you may have some use. Come with us."
"Char…" Charmander groaned as he tried to escape but the Rhyperior would grab a hold of him and took him along, much to the little guy's dismay.
"Here we are." The poacher said and pointed to a Nidoqueen. "You see that Nidoqueen? I want it… and I want you to take it down. Should you prove useless, Rhyperior will back you up. Understood?"
"Charman…" Charmander gulped and nervously used Ember on the Nidoqueen. The Nidoqueen turned her head and dodged the attack as the Embers went flying and accidentally caught an Oddish on fire.
"Odd?! ODDIIIIIISH!" The Oddish yelped as it ran around in a panic as it quickly dove into the water. "Ooodd…"
The Nidoqueen turned toward her assailant… only to be met with confusion with a small shiny Charmander. The Charmander nervously ran over and attacked the Nidoqueen with a Scratch attack.
Later that night…
"Again!" The poacher ordered as the Charmander used Dragon Breath on Rhyperior, but it wasn't enough as the Rhyperior knocked him on the head to make him fall over. "Hmph, useless. That said, you are improving if by a little bit. I do thank you for the Nidoqueen, despite Rhyperior helping you out. Whatever… at least we got a Nidoqueen. Tomorrow, we'll see if we can find a mate for the missus. Heheh."
A few days later…
"Char… CHAAAAAR!" Charmander cried as he started to glow after a rough fight with the Rhyperior.
"Well, I'll be damned…" The poacher chuckled as Charmander evolved into Charmeleon. Charmeleon turned to the poacher and tried to use Slash on him, but Rhyperior got in the way and took the hit. "Hmph! Trying to turn on me, hmm? You should know your place!" He said, kicking the Charmeleon back.
"Char!"
Unbeknownst to them, a truck pulled up a little ways away as the Charmeleon got back up and snarled at the poacher and the Rhyperior. "That's a rare Charmeleon." A voice said as they turned to see the Iron Masked Marauder approaching.
"Indeed. It's one of a kind. I should warn ya, it has a bit of an attitude."
"Heh, well… I'd like to take that Charmeleon off of your hands. It's not every day I snagged a shiny one."
"You want to snag THIS one?! Pah! Yeah good luck! You ain't taking it from me!"
The Marauder smirked before calling out his Tyranitar. "I wasn't asking." His Tyranitar unleashed Hyper Beam on them. Charmeleon took this opportunity to take off after the explosion as he tried to hide into a forest, but he was soon cornered by the Tyranitar. "Where do you think you're going?"
Charmeleon was immediately captured by the Marauder and was thrown into a cage, then he drove off with a chuckle and drove off, ready to capture any Pokemon that was worth his time.
A few days went by and the Marauder turned the corner on a rainy day, but slipped on a puddle that caused him to skid and braked as hard as he could. In turn, the cage that held Charmeleon slid off and fell off the cliff. "Damn." The Marauder cursed. "…Eh, I can always get a new cage. Not like it held anything useful."
The cage slammed into the ground, the door swinging open as Charmeleon climbed out, groaning. "Char…" Charmeleon groaned as he weakly got up.
"Gard…" A gentle voice called out to him as he looked to see a shiny Gardevoir approaching him. It used Heal Pulse on him to patch him up. "Gardevoir…"
"Meleon." Charmeleon nodded at the Gardevoir and walked off. He just wanted to go back home to his rock and try to forget everything that happened, despite evolving into a Charmeleon. He didn't know where he was, but he was determined to make his way back. He looked back at the Gardevoir who was watching him walk away in concern.
Charmeleon turned his head and continued walking away, determined to get away from it all. He wanted to go back home.
Several hours went by, walking alongside the trees as the rain never stopped as Charmeleon continued on. He occasionally snacked on berries latched onto shrubs and trees and kept going, determined to make his way home.
That is… until a net was launched right at him. "MELEON?!" Charmeleon cried in dismay as a poacher approached him.
"Well, you could be good for my business." He smirked, holding a whip in his hands as he chuckled devilishly.
A few horrid long days of being whipped by this horrid man later, Charmeleon sat on a log, battered, bruised and lashed all around, yet he was still determined as ever as to not succumb to this wicked human. "Hey, brat." The man spoke up as Charmeleon glared at him. "Your performance today was atrocious! You refused to battle other trainers, you refused to help me out catch some rare Pokemon… what do you have to say for yourself!"
"Char Char Charm." Charmeleon snarked, folding his arms.
"You dare sass at me?!" He growled. "YOU WILL REGRET THAT!"
A day later…
Charmeleon, now having a massive scar over his right eye from the lashing, not to mention losing said eye from the violent lashing from yesterday, was incredibly angry. As far as he was concerned, no human was good to him. All of them sucked. All of them are evil.
Every last human should burn.
Charmeleon heard footsteps approaching him as the poacher approached with a Chikorita in his hands. "Thanks for not helping me catch this stupid thing. You're useless! Perhaps I should take out that other eye to make you behave!" He yelled, pulling his arm back and flicking his wrist to lash at the Charmeleon.
…Only the Charmeleon caught it with his hand, not caring how much it burned his hand. He rose up and glared at him. "You dare defy me? It's going to take a lot more than that!" He said, yanking the whip back and then lashed at him again as Charmeleon slowly approached him, clenching his hands. "Char… CHAR… CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!" He roared as he suddenly glowed.
"Huh?!"
"Chika… Chika!" The Chikorita bit the man's hand, forcing him to drop it as it quickly dove into a bush as Charmeleon evolved into Charizard.
"Hmph! So you evolved! You going to make yourself useful now!" He growled as he whipped him but the Charizard grabbed the whip and yanked hard enough to dislocate the man's shoulder. "ARGH!" He grunted as flames shot out of the corners of his mouth as the poacher paled. "N-now hold on… you can't do this to me! I swear, I promise I'll never lash at you again! PLEASE!" He yelled and was met with a point blank Inferno.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Charizard flew up into the air with a massive roar and filled with rage. A flash got his attention as he turned to see a teenage girl at a local village. "Cool! A shiny Charizard!" She grinned, holding a camera.
The Charizard snarled at her. Another human… a human village! …Potential abusers. He let out a roar as he dove straight for the village, flames shooting out of the corners of his mouth.
Needless to say… the village and all of its inhabitants was burned off the map. Charizard stood on top of a flaming building and roared in triumph. These good for nothing humans will never harm anything again.
He flapped his wings and soared into the air. He laid his eyes on a trainer who was training his Beautifly and Machoke. To the trainer, it was just an innocent spar as the Beautifly and Machoke were having a grand ol' time.
But to the Charizard? It was anything but that.
With a snarl, Charizard flew directly at the trainer as he looked up from the battle. "Hmm? Oh cool, a shiny Charizard! Come to think of it, I just need one more Pokemon to have a full team!" He pulled out an Ultra Ball… which was unfortunately the last thing he ever did.
"Race? Cinder Cin..."
"Rrrr. Rrrr roar."
Cinderace paled. "Cinder..." He nodded and then hopped out of the airship.
"Anything?" Gloria asked.
"Please, like you can understand it. Just because you turn into Pokemon doesn't mean-"
"Cinder Cinderace Race Cin."
"It was abused?!" Gloria said in shock, which was enough to surprise Cinder. "Captured by fockin' poachers and now it hates humans…"
"Cinderace..."
"Shite…" Gloria grimaced. "Maybe Bowsette can think of something." She said as she and Cinderace hopped off the airship.
"Abused…" Cinder whispered, remembering how her younger life turned out. "That killing machine had a rough life?"
Would it be wrong of me to say that I'm not overly excited for Sonic Frontiers? Yeah, it looks pretty but... I dunno, i'm not hyped for it. That said, Sonic Movie 2 is looking VERY hype. Suicide Squad's looking good, Star Wars: Eclipse is... uh... i'm not sure what's going on there. But... I really didn't miss that much regarding the Award show since, as I said, I skipped it. Yeah, it stinks Dread didn't win Game of the Year, but it did win Action/Adventure so that should count for something!
Ibuki: Mhm!
Anyway, this Gaiden was suggested by Wyvernsaurus, and was originally going to be the last chapter but still needed to iron out a few kinks.
EDIT: Somehow, I had Cinderace speak like Scorbunny... whoops
