Seconds After Raven Went Back to Her Tribe…

Raven walked through the portal. "Vernal, I need to speak with… you… for a… second… WHAT THE HELL?!" She yelled as she would see the whole camp in carnage. The tribe all laid on the ground, spread out and unmoving.

"Raven…" Vernal let out a groan as she painfully crawled over to her. "H-Help…"

"What's going on?!" Raven demanded, seeing flames all around the camp. There was something unusual about these flames. They had a green color to them. Green fire…? She thought as she heard footsteps coming from her tent, she immediately turned around to see who had intruded in her tent. "Who are you!"

"Your world is quite intriguing." The intruder spoke. The intruder was a tall, slender, pale green-skinned woman with a narrow face and a prominent chin. She had yellow eyes and black horns. She is clad in a black-and-purple robe with bat wing-like edges; underneath her robe, she wears a dress with the same color pallet but with some red instead of purple and wears a gold ring with a large mysterious circular black stone in it.

BGM: Villains of a Sort (Kingdom Hearts)

"Answer the question." Raven demanded.

"A world filled with aura and semblances, each with its own huntsman academy and headmaster. There are four Maidens in this world. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. There is a woman who goes by the name of Salem who creates the creatures of Grimm. Fascinating on what a little research on this world can do."

"ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!"

"My my. It will do you some good to learn the meaning of patience, my dear." She said. "As you were up in outer space in some grand war, I was wandering this blue goo-filled planet. It had the audacity to try to corrupt me, yet I made it bow to me. I was considering using it for my own gain, yet it disappeared before I had the chance to use it for myself. Which brings me back to the aura and the semblances these people have."

"Stop stalling and tell me who you are!"

"Wouldn't it be fascinating if a Heartless had aura and a semblance? If only we had some source of power. It turns out some of these fine folk in this camp had some use." She said as a Shadow Heartless popped up and lunged at Raven. Raven would quickly bring out a sword and slashed the Shadow. To her shock, aura shattered around the Heartless as it smacked right into a tent pole. It sat there dazed for a few seconds before shaking its head.

"What…" Raven could only say.

"Ah yes, where are my manners? I am Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil."

"Mistress of All Evil?" Raven sounded amused, letting out a chuckle. "Is that supposed to scare me?"

"I do not fault you for thinking that way. Those who have not heard of me would chuckle at the thought of it." Maleficent mused.

"Yeah, it sounds like you're another one of those "all bark and no bite" types."

Maleficent smirked. "I can assure you that I am not that."

"So you decided to ambush everyone. I have to admit, I'm impressed you made it this far. You even managed to knock down Vernal. That's no easy task. But now that I'm here-"

"Your friend "Vernal"…" Maleficent interrupted. "I wonder what it'd be like if a huntress became a Heartless." She would tap her staff on the ground as dark flames shot out from underneath Vernal.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

"VERNAL!" Raven screamed.

Vernal reached out to Raven. "Rav…en….! Help…!" She could only say before she faded away along with the dark flames.

"NO!"

"Settle down. She will be with us momentarily, but as a Heartless."

"You…" Raven trembled in rage. "You… YOU…"

BGM: Squirming Evil (Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMix)

Aura shot out of the corners of her eyes. "YOU BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!" She screamed, summoning a sword and lunging at Maleficent, letting out a loud war cry as tears flew out of her eyes. She would swing down her sword but Maleficent would calmly block with her staff.

"So it is true. The chieftain of the tribe is nothing more of a hothead." Maleficent said as Raven quickly slashed her several times but Maleficent would calmly block each sword attack until she unleashed a powerful Firaga spell to knock Raven back.

Raven snarled, magic coursing through her body as she unleashed lightning bolts on Maleficent, but she would use a force field to block the lightning bolts. Ice formed around Raven as she unleashed a blizzard to cover the entire camp and she would disappear into the snow.

Maleficent calmly stood through the blizzard as she would shift her eyes to the side and then turned around, blocking a fiery sword attack from Raven and pushed Raven back with a Firaga spell. Raven snapped her fingers as Maleficent looked down to see the ground underneath her would light up as a plume of fire engulfed Maleficent.

Raven would smirk… but it would soon fade away when she heard cackling as the fire would turn green and dispersed, then she would see Maleficent on top of a floating rock. Maleficent would lift her staff as meteors came crashing down. Raven swiftly slashed through these as explosions happened around her.

Raven readied herself and then would lunge directly at Maleficent… if it wasn't for a large fist to punch her in the cheek, sending her flying toward her tent. Raven got out and glared at the other intruder that dared to punch her. "Hahahahaha! I had a feelin' you'd recover from that quickly!"

"Who's this idiot!"

Maleficent smirked. "Maiden, allow me to introduce an acquaintance of mine. Pete."

"Yeah, and I'm her idiot, thank you very much!" Pete said proudly. "…Wait, that came out wrong. What I meant was-"

"Shut it!" Raven growled. "Now I have two idiots to kill… RAAAAAAAH!" She lunged at the two.

BANG!

"AGH!" Raven cried as she fell over, hitting a few cages. She got back up groaning. "Now wha-…" Suddenly she would see her own shadow moving before suddenly wrapping around her and holding her down. "Nnnngh!"

"Allow me to introduce two other acquaintances that I have brought from the Underworld." Maleficent said as Raven would see a burly strong man wielding a blunderbuss and the other looked like a magician, looking rather stylish to boot. "The strong man with his weapon of choice is none other than Gaston. The other man is a magician from his time who has, shall we say, "friends on the other side". Dr. Facilier… although I question if he actually is a doctor."

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, my dear." Facilier bowed.

"Mine as well." Gaston smirked.

The shadow unraveled against Raven and went back to Facilier. "Heh… four against one? I like these odds." She said as she would notice darkness forming in front of her. "Scratch that, five against one." She said as she readied herself… and then gasped when she realized that Vernal came out of the darkness, with a Heartless emblem on her chest. Her clothing was the same, yet there was a dark aura around her and her eyes were bright yellow.

Raven nearly dropped her sword in horror. "Vernal…" She whispered as Vernal pulled out her weapons and in the blink of an eye, she slashed through Raven. "NNNGH!" She grunted as her aura flickered, but not breaking… yet.

"Her Heartless has been born." Maleficent smirked. "Would you fight your old friend?"

Raven glared at Maleficent before turning to Vernal. "Vernal… snap out of it!"

"She will not listen to you. She will listen to me and me alone."

Vernal aimed her weapon at Raven, the latter hesitating to actually attack her. Raven would notice a tear running down Vernal's cheek. "…Run. You don't stand a chance…" Vernal said quietly as Raven's eyes widened. "Please…"

Raven closed her eyes, opening up a portal with her sword. She hesitated to run in, but she had no other choice… she did not want to fight her friend. She ran inside and it closed behind her.

"Coward." Gaston mumbled.

"Do not worry, Gaston. She has every right to run away. Besides, that mural on that wall amused me. "The strong live, the weak die"." She let out a chuckle. "I've a feeling that is horrifically outdated."

"Mmm, it does have some merit." Facilier said.

"Indeed." Maleficent agreed. "This spot would make a nice base of operations, if I say so myself." She said and turned to Vernal, who was looking at the spot where Raven ran off. A hint of sadness was visible on her face. "Fret not, Vernal. You are in a better place."

Vernal turned around and looked toward Maleficent. "What is your command, mistress?"

"First, let's get you changed. Those clothes do not suit your rebirth as a Heartless."

At Patch…

"I'm tellin' ya… you actually said to take care of them for you when you're gone." Qrow pointed out. "I'm just surprised you didn't think about it sooner."

"Why did I even second guess myself… the answer was right there!" Summer groaned as a red portal opened up. "Oh! Raven!"

Yang looked up from her scroll. "Oh hey mo-… mom, are you okay?" She asked as the portal closed, as Raven was an emotional wreck. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Oooh, I take it the "Passing of the torch" ceremony was more emotional than you thought." Qrow chuckled as Raven fell on her knees. "Scratch that, very emotional."

Yang would immediately be by Raven's side, as would Ruby and Summer. "Mom, is everything okay?"

"No… it's not okay!" Raven sobbed as tears fell to the ground. "The camp… the tribe… everything's gone!"

"Did they relocate without tellin' ya?" Qrow asked, but through Raven's sobs, Qrow immediately got worried. "…Raven, what happened?"

"This… this bitch… she… she called herself Maleficent… she… she destroyed everything. Every last one of them… Vernal… she… she was turned into a Heartless and… and…"

Summer would immediately pull Raven into a hug. "Slow down… deep breath. What happened?" She asked.

"Someone named Maleficent came and destroyed the camp. Everyone's dead… Vernal was turned into a Heartless…" Raven sobbed within her chest.

"What?!" The rest of them yelled.

"Hey, what's going on? Rosie was showing me how to bake Star Bit pie." Tai walked in from the kitchen.

Qrow said nothing. "Everyone from the tribe is dead…"

"What?!" Tai said in surprise.

Qrow clenched his fists. "…I need a moment." He said as he ran out the front door.

"Qrow, wait!" Summer exclaimed as she turned to her daughters. "Can you watch over Raven real quick?" She asked as the two would nod. Summer would immediately get up and phazed through the walls, leading her outside. "Qrow!" She called out as she would see a crow flying away. "Qrow, wait up!" She flew after him.

Qrow would land near a bar, turning himself back to normal as he walked through the door. "Hey Qrow. The usual for ya?"

"Whiskey. No ice. Make it extra hard."

"Oooh… hard day? I get that."

Qrow sat down on the bar, grumbling to himself as he rested his elbow on the bar, his head on his wrist. He couldn't believe it… the tribe he grew up with, the same tribe that he left but was always welcome to come back… the tribe he called his family, hell, he teasingly thought of Vernal as a sister, much to her embarrassment.

All of them were gone in an instant. It was just him and Raven left. He didn't even hear the sound of a door opening up as Summer would walk in and see Qrow sitting by himself. Summer frowned as she walked over to him and accompanied him at the bar.

"I'm sorry, Summer… I know I promised I wouldn't drink that much anymore, but-"

"I don't blame you. Even I would do something like this if I was in your shoes." She said.

"Here ya go!" The bartender gave him his drink. "For you, miss?"

"Um… I'll have something lighter than what's he having. Like… a margarita."

"You got it!" He went off to go make it.

"You? Heh, you know you can't hold your liquor. I still remember when you were dared to have that drink off with that chick at Beacon. What was her name… Bella… Belle?"

"Mellie."

"Yeah, her. You had that little contest and you were out like a light after the first shot glass."

"For your information, I had three shot glasses."

"Either way, you couldn't hold your liquor. You passed out."

"Well, I'm dead. It's not like I can get drunk anymore." Summer chuckled as the bartender gave her her drink. "Thanks."

"I'm surprised you'd have a drink with me."

"Eh… it'd be awkward if you were drinking alone and I was sitting here doing nothing." Summer shrugged as she took a sip.

Qrow sighed, taking a sip. "I don't get it. I leave to do my own thing and I don't go back to that tribe until you wanted to visit Raven. Then after that, I never saw 'em again… and look what happened. I'm tellin' ya, it's my bad luck."

"I wouldn't say that."

"Then how would you describe it! I leave that campground for a few weeks and it goes up in smoke! How the hell would you-"

"It's not your bad luck." Summer explained. "We were just too focused on taking down Ridley and Dark Samus that we didn't know what was going on down here. If anything, it's everyone's bad luck."

"…Everyone including me?"

Summer grimaced. "I… didn't mean it like that."

"My semblance… it's a curse."

Summer took another sip. "Hmm, what if we turned it into something else?"

"What do you mean?"

"Have you ever considered using your semblance for good… as in controlling the bad luck?"

"How does one control bad luck?"

"Well, you never really controlled it." Summer pointed out. "You just kinda let things happen. So why don't we work on that? You can use the bad luck for your own benefit. Control it and then you'd have bad guys get a taste of bad luck."

"But what if some of our allies were caught in the crossfire?"

"Control it and they'll be just fine." Summer smiled.

"I… never really thought of it that way. To me, my semblance is that of like a black cat or… walking under a ladder or stuff like that."

"Superstition? I can see that… but what if we controlled that? Yeah, it's bad luck that the tribe is gone but what if we turned that around and gave this Maleficent a dose of bad luck?"

"Huh… when you put it that way… I dunno, I feel like it's impossible."

"Hey, you're speaking to a ghost. Nothing is impossible anymore."

"Heh, good point." Qrow nodded as he took a swig while Summer took another sip. "Still, this is gonna be rough… those bandits were my colleagues. To hear them being killed just like that… rrrgh, it pisses me off."

"Th-Then we'll be a-able tuh-tuh-to av-avenge them."

Qrow looked to Summer in surprise. "You had like three sips and you're plastered already?"

"Wh-what the huh-hell are you taw-talking about? I'm ffffine…" Summer said drunkenly.

"Heh, I guess being dead made you an even lighter weight." Qrow said in amusement. "So… we train my semblance to where I control the bad luck instead of just letting it happen… and then give it to this Maleficent bitch."

"Puh-precy… precisely!" Summer said, taking another sip and let out a small hiccup.

Qrow chuckled. "Avenge our comrades." He smirked. "Yeah, I'll do it. We'll get this bad luck out of control."

"Huh-huzzah!" Summer raised her glass up high and took a swig of her drink. "H-hey… wuh-one question…"

"Yeah?"

"Sssssince wheeeen were thu-there three of you…?" Summer asked… before she collapsed.

Qrow let out another chuckle and finished his glass. He then got out and paid the bartender. "Come on, you lightweight."

"You don't want another?" The bartender asked.

"I'm good." Qrow chuckled as he walked outside while carrying Summer bridal style.

"Party on, bitches…! Wooooo!"

The next day…

"That's just great." Riku grumbled as the Rose-Xiao Long-Brawnwen family were there, including Rosalina. "Maleficent's here now."

"Is she okay?" Kairi asked, looking at Summer who was sitting on a chair.

"Uuuugh, what was in that margarita…" Summer groaned, holding on to her head.

"So do you know much about her?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah, we do." Riku nodded. "Back when the three of us were on Destiny Islands, it was attacked by Heartless and I was taken away in the darkness. There, Maleficent manipulated the darkness within my heart and, to make matters worse, she said that Sora replaced me with Donald and Goofy."

"I met Maleficent during my journey at one point." Aqua spoke up. "She was telling Ven that… I believe she said that Terra killed Aurora…? It's been a while… but I had fought her in battle. I don't really remember much after that, it was honestly a blur." She rubbed her head sheepishly.

"From there, when we were dealing with Organization XIII, we didn't see much of Maleficent. She did attack my castle but she didn't do much after we stopped her." Mickey explained. "They did try to put a stop to the Heartless in the Castle That Never Was. After that… well, we were then caught in the Datascape and Pete and Maleficent came with us."

"Date Escape? Spare me your dull details!"

"Data… scape?" Ruby tilted her head.

"Long story." Donald responded.

"After that, Maleficent held Minnie hostage… until Lea intervened." Mickey said as Lea put his hands behind his head with a proud grin.

"And then after that, Maleficent and Pete didn't make themselves known for a while when we were busy taking down Xehanort!" Goofy said. "We did had one encounter with them at Thebes, but that was pretty much it."

"And now here they are making their move." Ansem walked over to them. "I'm not sure what she's planning, but it's not good."

"So… what does this mean?" Rosalina asked.

Riku sighed in annoyance. "It means that things just got a lot more complicated."

Meanwhile, with Sora…

Sora looked at the computer, not saying a word as his hands were planted on the keyboard. "You can fix him, right?" Mythra asked.

"Unfortunately, this intruder managed to wipe out the entire network." Ienzo said. "We tried looking for back up data but we can't find it anywhere. If I were to get, the Phazon probably destroyed that copy."

"The only thing we can do is remake the entire Space Paranoids from scratch. That means a new Tron." Even said. "Unfortunately, all his memories with Sora and his friends will be wiped clean. He will not remember who they are."

Sora pounded his fist into the keyboard in frustration. "They'll pay for this…" He said.

"Oh Sora…" Pyra whispered as she and Mythra would hug him tightly.

Two weeks later, after New Years…

"Is everything ready?" Daisy asked.

"It's almost ready, actually." Peach responded.

"Oh good!" Daisy smiled and then chuckled. "This will definitely get everyone's mind off things after that Phazon war."

"Indeed." Peach smiled and then giggled. "Let's play ball."

You know, the funny thing is... several months ago, Yoshi came up with the idea to make something fun and exciting after Galaxy 2 to get everyone out of the drama crud or something like that. First it was Mario Party but I wasn't so keen on the idea because I'm not really into Mario Party these days and i'm not sure i'd have a lot of fun writing a Mario Party fic... so Flash and Cody talked and they thought "Why not Strikers Charged?" and I was like "OH HELL YES!"

Ibuki: *giggling*

...And then wouldn't you know it, that Nintendo Direct happens and Mario Strikers: Battle League shows up. I didn't think of it much but Cody went "By the way, you predicted this!" and I was like "OH COME ON!"

Ibuki: So what, that's ten for ten now?

Hades: *in the distance* Did we hit double digits already? Awesome!

Oh shut up, Hades! But yeah, apparently this went from "A fun Mario Strikers bout with RWBY" to... celebrating another entry in the series? I dunno. Anyway, Maleficent's joined the party now!
