A Day Before CRDL Went to the Emerald Forest
It was supposed to be an easy mission… in and out… it started like any other day…
Ozpin looked out the window, enjoying a cup of coffee while Mavis was reading a book. They both heard the sound of an elevator opening up as Ozpin turned to see CFVY approaching.
"Ah, Team CFVY. Good to see you." Ozpin smiled. "I assume you've met Mavis?"
"The Spring Maiden back in Fairy Tail's time, right? Saw her eating some food back at the cafeteria." Coco said.
Ozpin blinked and looked toward Mavis. "You ate?"
"I was hungry…"
Ozpin sweatdropped. "But you're a ghost…"
"Yeeeeeah? So?"
Ozpin shook his head with a chuckle and turned to them. "I suppose you're curious as to why I called you up here."
"Another Grimm situation?" Fox asked.
"Actually, no. We've received reports of a group of Jagras terrorizing a village just outside the city. At first they were eating the wildlife, but then they started going after pets. I need you guys to take 'em out."
Coco nodded. "Consider it done." She said as she turned to her team. "Let's rock and roll." She said as they walked off.
"Is it me, or are there a lot of monsters roaming around now?" Mavis wondered.
"I think we can thank K. Rool for that…"
"...Who?"
We were to go to a village to take care of a simple monster problem… It seemed like an easy mission, considering what we were up against. Unfortunately, we were in for a rude surprise…
The team walked out of the city and into the open fields, all of them ready in case something were to come charging at them. Once they got closer, they would come across a small village.
"Looks peaceful enough." Velvet said as they started walking through the village until they came across a farm where they saw sheep grazing along with some Aptonoth, when suddenly a Great Jagras came charging in and gulped down on an Aptonoth, while the other animals fled.
"Ugh… a Great Jagras…" Coco said in disgust. "Bunch of disgusting gluttonous slobs…" She said as smaller Jagras came in to pick off the remains.
"Welp, we found our targets." Yatsuhashi said as everyone took out their weapons.
The moment we brought out our weapons, that's when IT arrived…
Coco whistled, "Hey ugly!" She said, catching the Great Jagras's attention. "Consider that your last meal!" She said, revving up Gianduja Omega as her team got ready to fight.
The Great Jagras snarled, roaring at the four as it and it's cohorts charged at them, when suddenly, a large creature came running in out of nowhere and snagged the Great Jagras, proceeding to rip it to shreds.
"What the hell is that?" Yatsuhashi asked.
"I doubt it's an ally…" Fox said.
"Hey uh, Paulie…? Can you hear me?" Coco asked.
"Loud and clear, Coco! What do you need?" Palutena asked.
"What the hell is this in front of us?"
"Let's see-" She let out a loud gasp. "That's a Savage Deviljho!"
"Well, it got the savage part right…" Coco sweatdropped.
The Savage Deviljho… we were not prepared for what it had in store for us… OH OUM, it's the stuff of nightmares… oh gods… I can still feel its breath…
"I'd be really careful around them. Deviljhos are no joke!"

Eternally Hangry - Savage Deviljho
"Deviljhos are notorious to be hungry all the time, a belly that will never be full and that makes them extremely dangerous. In short, they're always hangry."
"What do we do?" Yatsuhashi asked.
"Take it down, otherwise everyone can kiss this village goodbye!" Coco said, aiming her minigun and fired lasers directly at it, the explosions catching the big monster's attention as the Savage Devilljho snarled and proceeded to use the Great Jagras as a flail and smacked it into the ground, to try and hurt Yatsuhashi.
"It's using the Jagras as a flail?!" Velvet exclaimed.
"Never thought I'd feel sorry for a Jagras!" Coco said as Yatsuhashi jumped in and slashed the massive creature as Fox punched and slashed the creature while Velvet looked into Aneisdora Gamma and flipped through her pictures until she found what she was looking for, which was Weiss's Eiskönigin, then she lunged and slashed at the creature where the Savage Deviljho swung the Jagras into Velvet, knocking her back but she recovered with her rocket boots.
The Deviljho flung the now deceased Jagras into a building as it chomped down at Fox, but he backflipped as his blades charged up with energy from his Sharp Retribution Echo as he slashed at the creature, cutting it up but the Deviljho responded by smacking him with his tail as Yatsuhashi swung Fulcrum Delta down and energy waves hit the creature.
With a roar, the Deviljho charged at Coco and chomped down, but Coco rolled out of the way. "Hope you're hungry!" Coco said, shooting out ink into his mouth as it turned around as the reverse inkstrike kicked in, but instead the Deviljho spat it out and struck Coco with it. "Rrrrgh!" She winced. So that's how it feels… She thought as the Deviljho charged at her, but Velvet launched in and kicked him in the face to knock him into a boulder as Yatsuhashi slashed it away.
It seemed like we had the upper hand at first… however… that's when it happened…
Pause BGM
The Deviljho shook it off and snarled directly at them, charging at them… before it abruptly stopped as it let out a groan. "Huh?" Coco wondered as everyone got ready as the Deviljho shook its head violently before roaring into the sky above… before its eyes turned green.
"DO YOU MIND IF I BORROW THIS FOR A WHILE?"
"Oh shit!" Coco exclaimed as the Savage Deviljho roared and charged at them, but it kept going, ignoring Team CFVY as it charged right into a boulder and hit it head first, then charged right into a tree and hit its head again.
"WHAT ARE YOU-"
The Savage Deviljho hit its head against another tree… and then the green eyes disappeared. It had successfully gotten rid of Calasmos's malicious influence.
Resume BGM
"...Did… did it just do what I think it just did?!" Palutena said in horror as a wave of fear overwhelmed CFVY. They hadn't felt like this since they had fought Doom Guy back at Space Storm.
"...What the fuck kind of monster is this if it can resist Calasmos of all things?!" Coco said in shock.
Fox grimaced. "I think we're in for a world of hurt." He said as the Savage Deviljho menacingly turned its head and roared, before it uprooted a tree and flung it at the team, forcing them to get out of the way as the Deviljho leapt into the air and proceeded to slap its tail into Velvet, knocking her down but she swiftly got back up.
It just got bad to worse…
The Deviljho breathed out a clouded emission toward the ground, which enveloped the four of them. "Rrrgh! What the hell is this?" Yatsuhashi wondered.
"GET OUT OF THERE!" Palutena yelled, and within a split second, the red cloud lit up and exploded, engulfing all four of them as they were knocked away.
"Aaagh!" Coco grunted, her aura flashing a little. "Damn…" She reached into her scroll, quickly pressing a button on it. "You better come quick…" She said, putting it away as she struggled to get up to her feet as the Deviljho worked its way toward Velvet.
"Uuungh…" Velvet groaned as everything was a blur for her, but when she came around, the Deviljho grabbed a hold of her. "AH?!"
"VEL!" Coco shrieked as she aimed her minigun at it and opened fire as the Deviljho shook its head wildly and threw her to a tree. It then picked up a boulder and swung it toward Yatsuhashi and Fox, pinning down both of them as they were struggling to get up.
The moment Velvet struck the tree, her aura shattered as the Deviljho charged at her with a roar. Coco snarled, firing lasers at the Deviljho as it struck it, but it didn't seem to deter it all that much as Velvet came around and saw the massive creature in front of her. She let out a yelp and tried to back away, but the Deviljho slammed its foot into her leg, making her cry out in agony as she looked at it in fear.
Its raunchy breath, drool dripping from its fangs, it was enough to make Velvet almost faint from the creature. The Wyvern roared as Velvet screamed as it leaned forward to eat her… only to stop when a loud engine caught its attention.
End BGM
The Deviljho turned around, not familiar with the noise as they all turned to see a motorcycle driving to them as it did a wheelie and launched off of a boulder.
BGM: The Only Thing They Fear is You (Doom Eternal)
The motorcycle slammed on top of the Deviljho as it bounced off and landed on the ground where it screeched to a halt where Doom Guy climbed out and pumped his Super Shotgun. The Deviljho roared at this intruder, daring to interrupt its meal as it charged at him.
Doom Guy shot at it as the Deviljho slammed into him, pushing him back but the Slayer grabbed a hold of its jaw and pushed it down to the ground, then shot it with his Unmakyr. The Deviljho responded by smacking him with his tail as Doom Guy recovered and switched to the Heavy Cannon.
The Deviljho absorbed these bullets into it as it unleashed its draconic breath at him, but Doom Guy jumped out of the way as the draconic breath exploded, and in the smoke, the Slayer pulled out his BFG 9000 and unleashed its gigantic electric ball of death, to where the Deviljho pushed against it, snarling as it fought back before it disintegrated, then the Deviljho went through the smoke and bit down on Doom Guy, but instead, it ate an Ice Bomb where it froze its mouth shut.
Doom Guy cracked his knuckles as he pulled out his Rocket Launcher and shot off multiple rockets that knocked the creature down. He would then pull out a Smash Ball and crushed it in his hands, glowing with rainbow energy as the Deviljho got back up, the ice having been shot off from the rocket launcher as it charged at him, biting down but instead Doom Guy brought out his Sentinel Hammer and swung it hard enough to launch it into the air where a portal opened up and sucked it in, then Doom Guy jumped in after it.
The Deviljho slammed into the ground, shaking it off a moment later as it looked around and wondered where it was at, not to mention wondering how it got into a desert-like area, while on a moon, Doom Guy boarded the BFG 10,000 and aimed it directly at the surface of Mars, specifically at the Deviljho as he pressed the button where it started to charge up and fired at the surface of Mars, putting yet another hole into the surface of Mars while obliterating the Deviljho.
A portal opened up as Doom Guy and the charred remains of what was left of the Savage Deviljho came back.

Doom Guy walked away from the remains as he walked up next to Velvet, kneeling down near her as he took off his helmet, giving him a soft, gentle smile and scratched her head. Velvet responded with a smile, yet fear was deep in her eyes.
"I'll… go ahead and see if I can salvage anything from the Deviljho. Thanks, Slayer." Palutena said as the Deviljho was taken back to Skyworld.
I was grateful that the Slayer came to help us… but… but…
"AAAAAAAAAGH!" Velvet screamed, holding on to her head as tears fell on her journal. Her breathing had quickened. "No no… go away…!" She whimpered.
Gentle hands rested on her shoulders as she looked up to see Coco. "Coco…"
"C'mere, bun bun…" Coco said, pulling her away from her desk and held her close on her bed while Velvet sobbed into her shoulder. "Shhh…" She gently kissed her on the forehead as she rubbed her back while Doom Guy finished patching up Fox and Yatsuhashi as he then moved over to the girls and sat down on a chair, scratching Velvet on the head again.
Outside of the room, Ozpin and Mavis looked inside. "They're gonna need a lot of time to recuperate…" Mavis said.
"Indeed." Ozpin nodded, walking away, wondering how in the hell a Deviljho managed to make its way near the city of Vale when there have been no sightings of such a creature near the city or the village.
