While Edelgard Is Attacking the Holy Tomb
"It's amazing…" Grimm Ruby said. "I can create any Grimm at my disposal… incredible!"
"Yes, yes, it's quite charming." Ghirahim chuckled, watching a Grimm Bokoblin meander around with a Grimm Stalfos.
"Hmm, you know…" Medusa spoke up. "I wonder if you could recreate Dark WBY." She said.
"Oh?" Dimentio looked at her in curiosity, having an ice pack between his legs. "Creating Grimm versions of her dark team, you say?"
"Indeed. However, I am not sure how they perished…" Medusa explained. "All I know is that they're no longer with us."
"...Even though we didn't act like a team… in a way, I miss them." Grimm Ruby said. "It kinda hurts…"
"Ooooh, are we detecting sympathy from you~?" Dimentio smirked.
"Piss off. Anyway, I still remember Dark Yang dying as if was yesterday…"
"I look so much prettier with longer hair. I wonder what would happen if I gave you a haircut?"
Yang's eyes turned red. "DON'T. YOU. FUCKING. DARE!" She yelled, her hair burning.
"Yagh!" Dark Yang yelped, letting go of her as Yang grabbed a hold of her neck. "Hnnngh!" She grunted as she was punched into the air as Yang jumped up, letting out a huge war cry, punching her straight into the water, where everyone heard a splash as they turned to see Dark Yang coming up for air and swam to the side to try to get up, but Yang kicked her in the teeth to knock her back in.
"Dark Yang, no!" Dark Weiss yelled while Dark Ruby looked on in disbelief while Dark Yang came back up a second time.
"STAY DOWN!" Yang fired a shot from her Xiao Long Arm to knock her back in, where she didn't come up for a third time.
"No!" Dark Blake exclaimed.
"She was erased by the Rewind Spring?!" Medusa said in surprise. "What in the name of the Underworld were you guys doing there?"
"Something about Pit's wings burning up in the Chaos Realm after the Chaos Kin stole Ruby's soul… I dunno, Meta was being his growly self." Grimm Ruby shook her head. "As for Dark Blake…"
"This team has gone to hell and I'm not going to stand by and watch us get killed one by one. I'm done."
"Wh-what are you saying?!" Dark Weiss asked.
"...I'm leaving this team. I feel like this is best for all of us. We lost Dark Yang, Meta left us… and now I'm going to do the same. It's been fun."
"Don't you DARE leave us!" Dark Ruby glared.
"Watch me." She used her semblance to blind them, and when they snapped out of it, she was gone… unaware that she was sitting on top of the eastern bell tower.
"She wasn't thinking straight, we suffered another humiliating defeat in Delfino… ugh, it was such a great plan too. Frame them for a crime they didn't do, haul them off to jail… we were going to execute them in prison, it would've been perfect! But no… that damned Phoenix Wright had to make a mess of things."
"Why didn't you kill Phoenix Wright?" Ghirahim pointed out, causing Grimm Ruby to raise her finger before lowering it.
"...It didn't occur to me." She mumbled. "But anyway, after that, I disbanded the team and I was about to leave Delfino for good… unfortunately, a boat wasn't nearby so I had to hide in the shadows and wait for one to pass by. That's when it happened."
"Huh? Why do I hear rushing water?" Dark Ruby wondered as she turned around, and got struck by the massive tidal wave. "Mmph! Blub blub blub!" She swam up to the surface and climbed onto a roof. "Hack, plepth! What the hell was…?"
"THIS IS AN EMERGENCY FROM THE D.E.B.S! DELFINO PLAZA HAS BEEN FLOODED! I REPEAT, DELFINO PLAZA HAS BEEN FLOODED! THE FLOOD GATE HAS BEEN DESTROYED! THIS IS SO TRAGIC!"
"Yeah, thank you captain obvious." She said, pounding her ears to get the water out and then noticed Dark Blake jumping off of the eastern bell tower straight to the volcano. "Dark Blake?" She wondered as she swam ahead.
"When I had seen Dark Blake, I imagined she was going to kill them out of revenge so I thought "Hey, why not help her out?" Unfortunately, the traps in Corona Mountain made things difficult… but by the time I got there…
"No… I'm not dying here!" Blake pulled Dark Blake forward and made her roll off of her, unaware of how close they were to the edge right as Dark Ruby got to the final platform, causing her to gasp.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" She screamed. "IT BURNS! AAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
Holy shit… Dark Ruby thought, trying to think of a way to try to save her, but she couldn't think of anything.
"You shouldn't have been so consumed by revenge… I wanted to save you… and in a way, this is mercy…"
"SAVE ME, AN EVIL CLONE?! YOU'RE CRAZY! I'M GONNA MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS! YOU HEAR ME?! I'M GOING TO BE HAUNTING YOU!"
Dark Ruby said nothing as she watched Dark Blake disappear into the lava below… only to come back up and caught Blake's ankle to try and bring her down with her, but Blake kicked her off as she disappeared back into the lava. Dark Ruby fell on her knees in disbelief as Blake turned around and walked away.
"That was the second time I've seen one of my colleagues die… and I didn't have any of the tools necessary to save her." She sighed. "However, I don't know anything about Dark Weiss… last I've seen her? She was hauled away."
"HEY! THERE THEY ARE!"
"Yeah, this is goodbye. You're on your own. From this point on, I'm going solo."
"No! NO!" Dark Weiss got tackled immediately after.
"I don't know where the others are, but this is a start! Take her in, boys!"
"DON'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS!"
"Hey boss! Turns out Weiss is from Atlas! Does this mean this dark creature is from there too?"
"I assume so. Take her to Atlas!"
"As far as I know, she was taken to Atlas. I don't know what happened to her, but I'm assuming she was killed in Atlas." Grimm Ruby rubbed her cheek. "This is gonna be awkward, especially since I left her there…"
An idea sprung up in her head. "Unless I manage to tweak her memories… yeah, I can do that! Can I?"
"Ooooh, planting false memories in her? That's what I call devious!" Dimentio grinned.
Grimm Ruby smirked. "This is going to be fun~" She said as she hummed to herself, recreating her team from the last time she remembered them. However, she walked over to Grimm Weiss and hummed to herself, planting her hand on her face. "...Hey Dimentio?"
"On it~!" Dimentio snapped his fingers as Grimm Ruby glowed.
"Thank you." She smirked, proceeding to mess her memories around.
Inside Grimm Weiss's memory…
"HEY, THERE THEY ARE!"
"Shit!" Dark Ruby grabbed Dark Weiss's arm. "We gotta bolt!"
"Right!" She nodded as the two of them took off running, but a Pianta climbed up a roof and then jumped down, landing on top of Dark Weiss. "AGH!"
"Dark Weiss!" Dark Ruby yelled as she tried to get her away, but the Pianta pulled out a rocket launcher and shot her point blank.
"...No, that's not believable enough…" Grimm Ruby said. "Shotgun? No… pistol? Hell no… oh, wait, duh!"
The Pianta pulled out a springboard and shoved it in her face, sending her flying into a building.
"...No no no no… a Koopa Shell will work bet-... nah, springboard."
"OOOF!" Dark Ruby grunted as the pianta picked up Dark Weiss and hauled her away while several other Piantas dogpiled on her. "RRRGH! GET OFF!" She yelled, slashing them off of her and shooting them to kill them. "Hang on, I'm coming!" She ran after her, but was slowed down by the Piantas. "Ugh! I don't have time for this!"
Meanwhile, in the prison, Dark Weiss was chained up to a wall. "Rrrgh!"
"There, that'll keep you occupied." A warden said. "By the way, you have a visitor coming." He said as he walked off, disappearing from the hallway as Dark Weiss then heard footsteps as she saw Weiss approaching her.
"You…!"
"Ohohoho! Now this is ironic!" Weiss mockingly laughed. "You wanted to kill me, and now here you are, all chained up. Now how's that for poetic justice?"
"Shut up! I'll get out of here." Dark Weiss snarled.
"Ooooh, of course you'll get out of here… out of this life." She pulled out a pistol as Dark Weiss gasped.
"…The hell? I can do better than that!"
"Ooooh, of course you'll get out of here… I'll be your escort out of this life!"
"Much better!"
"You know, I've truly resented you." Weiss said. "I've always been jealous of how far prettier you are than me… and quite honestly, I've gotten sick of it. No one can be prettier than me!"
"You truly are vain, you know that?! You're a sick hideous beast!"
"Oh honey, if anyone's hideous here, it's you~" Weiss smiled, cocking her gun. "Riddle me this: What do you get when you have someone far prettier than I am?"
"...What?"
"You get what you fucking deserve!" She said, and right as Dark Ruby ran in, Weiss pulled the trigger.
"NO!" She screamed as Dark Weiss fell limp. Weiss turned her head slightly and gave her a sadistic smile.
"You want to join her?"
Dark Ruby took a step back. "YOU BITCH!" She yelled as she ran away.
"That's what I thought."
Grimm Ruby laughed. "Perfect! Now that is more like it!" She said, pulling away. "And now… awaken~!" She said, snapping her fingers as the three Grimm woke up, unaware of Mercury watching this in horror while Dry Bowser looked on with a smirk.
"Ugh… huh?!" Grimm Yang looked around. "Am I… am I back? Am I out of the Rewind Spring?"
"Yes, all of you are back alive." Grimm Ruby smiled.
"...Rubes, you look different." Grimm Yang said and looked over at the others. "Hell, ya'll look different." She looked down at her hands. "Holy smokes, I'M different!"
Grimm Blake growled, grabbing Grimm Ruby by the collar. "You bitch… you brought me back?! Why, just so you could scold me because we disbanded?!"
"I didn't disband the team." Grimm Ruby said. "Blake did some kind of voodoo magic that forced us to disband after we lost at Delfino. How else did we lose so horribly?"
"You… you're saying BLAKE is responsible for our humiliating defeat?"
"Yes, she secretly called Phoenix Wright before she was hauled to jail, which was how we lost."
Grimm Blake growled, recalling what happened to her. "That bitch threw me in the fire… I'll make sure she'll burn after this!"
"Yes, you will." Grimm Ruby said with a smirk and then turned to Grimm Weiss. "You feeling okay?"
"I… I can't believe she would execute me because of how prettier I was than her… and yet, it makes sense! She couldn't handle how prettier I was than her!"
"Exactly. Weiss is dangerous, and I believe you should kill her."
"Oh… I will…" Grimm Weiss growled.
"Hmm… ya know, something's missing here." Dimentio said, looking at Grimm Weiss. "Ah, I know!" He snapped his fingers as a military outfit and hat appeared in front of her. "This'll complete your look."
Grimm Ruby looked at Dimentio. "Why…?"
"I dunno, I think she'll look good in military garb." He said as Grimm Weiss put it on.
"...Huh, what do you know, she does." She mused. "Anyhow, let's get started to on destroying them, including Ruby."
"How are we gonna do that?" Grimm Yang asked.
Grimm Ruby smirked. "I have an idea~" She said, all of them unaware of Hades watching this from a faraway tree.
"Hmm…" He mused and disappeared.
Fast forward to the present…
"And that's the story of how Grimm Ruby brought you guys back and rearranged your memories!" Hades said.
"This… this doesn't… how… how did I actually die?"
"You were eaten by this thing." Hades pulled up an image of a Behemoth. "Only it was in Shroob form. Picture this with a lot of purple mushrooms on it and you're good to go."
"...That thing ate me?"
"Now here's the real kicker." Hades snapped his fingers to open up a portal where he and Grimm Weiss looked into the Underworld, where they spotted a familiar figure.
"Is that me?!"
"Yup! That's Dark Weiss, I've basically have her as a guard just in case good ol' Damian tries to make his grand escape. Of course, I secretly get him out of the Underworld just because I find his deaths so amusing. Oh, now look at her, Dark Weiss is having a margarita with the SA-X. Hahahaha, glad I managed to get rid of that one factor the X-Parasites had, otherwise the Underworld would be a mess."
"That's… me…"
"Yup! And here's Dark Blake chilling in a hot tub! Yes, that's lava… but she's gotten used to it!" He grinned as he closed the portal. "In short, Grimm Ruby created you and the other two based on her memories. You're nothing more than an empty husk."
Grimm Weiss took a step back, her hand over her mouth in shock. "We're… just pawns…? I… I thought we were a team…"
"Nope! Everything that she had created in this world is a pawn that is meant to either capture or slow down the heroes so she could have her fun with Ruby."
"I… I have no words, I… no… no no no no! This can't be real…!"
"Would you like me to restore your memories in their proper form? I should warn you, the price is heavy."
"I… I… I need a moment…"
Hades laughed. "Fair enough. I'll be here if you need me!" He said as Grimm Weiss walked out of the room as Hades decided to sit down on Ironwood's chair. "...Mmph, now wonder Jamesy boy is always grumpy, this seat is not suited for grown men, let alone gods!"
Grimm Weiss climbed up on a Bullhead, sitting in a fetal position and thought deeply, closing her eyes.
"Grimm Ruby's lying to you! You didn't die in a prison, you died because you underestimated a Shroobehemoth!"
"You're the one who's lying! Grimm Ruby would never lie to someone like me!"
Grimm Weiss clutched her head.
"No… no! You're lying! If I team up with anyone, they would NEVER betray me!"
"Then how do you explain Dark Ruby disbanding the team?"
"...What? No, she didn't… she said we got separated by the cops… she… she said she tried to rescue me but she saw me get executed by her!"
"Why in Remnant's name would I go and execute anyone? That's not who I am!"
"Let her go, Grimm Weiss… we can talk about this."
"No… No… she couldn't have… she… she said she… no… no! She… she…! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"...What am I even fighting for…?" Her voice nearly cracked.
