Garnet used her gauntlets to push Hulk back which wasn't easy as the creature didn't seem to falter even after facing Jasper and the half of Crystal Gems.
Garnet looked at Stevonnie and then shined up her hands to momentarily blind the monster.
The trick worked as Garnet quickly pick up the teen fusion and jumped away from the Hulk.
Garnet: Jamie take care of her.
Jamie: Right be careful
Garnet nodded as Jamie ran to Opal and Peridot.
Looking at the creature's angry eyes, she couldn't believe that the one before her was human.
His eyes were green like Peridots but they were burning with rage and bloodlust.
For a moment Garnet remembered her fight with Jasper years ago and her words "Our love is stronger than you!"
Inspired by this memory, a smirking Garnet lift her hand, teasing the monster to come at her. "Come on it'stime we end this siege and your rampage"
Hulk: GREEEEEEEEAAAAAH
Hulk and Garnet moved towards one another as their fight began.
Hulk unleashed his wrath upon the gem trying to catch and beat her down even attacking her with ground pieces but Garnet managed to avoid his efforts thanks to both her agility and future vision.
He didn't give up though and instead smashed the ground with his foot. Garnet jumped away to gain some distance as the hulk then clapped his fists together yet again, sending waves towards the gem.
Garnet holds her own and wouldn't tire out since she is a gem, however hulk is an adrenaline reactor and won't falter either.
'Sapphire: We need to find a way to incapacitate him.'
'Ruby: Hand it to me Sapphy!'
Garnet marched towards the green one with her size-increased gauntlets and punch the Hulk full-on.
This time Hulk still held his strong but actually struggled not to buckle. Garnet pushed further as did Hulk...but then something happened.
Suddenly the dark flames appeared on Hulk and they went for Garnet.
Upon the contact with dark flames, Garnet stood motionless as she now felt sadness and agony of her foe. She saw his memories, him being betrayed, being hunted down, without home with no allies or friends able to help him and all alone against the world. His love for a woman Betty and his desire to live. All he wanted was what the gem rebellion fought for in all these years: Being able to live for himself.
Garnet was left with 2 things:
Shame at the fact that they didn't even try talk down Hulk like they did with all others.
And with the consequence as a moment later Hulk came out of his trance and grabbed Garnet by her hands. Garnet struggled before the Hulk did one thing Garnet was terrified of: Hulk pulled her hands in differebt directions causing her form to glitch and becoming undone.
Garnet: GAAAAAAAAH
Garnet was screaming in pain as the others watched in horror.
Opal: Garnet!
Opal attempted to stop the monster by shooting her arrows to his feet.
The arrows however were intercepted by a newly arrived Riot
"A-A-AH don't mess up Garnet's therapy session besides *breaks the arrows* you've got other problems to deal with ladies."
As the gems faced off the invaders, Jamie stayed away in the ruins as Garnet asked him to. He didn't want to break his word but he did say that he will help if something goes off.
Jamie:'THAT TIME IS NOW!' "I'm sorry Garnet"
Jamie used his emotions to activate his speed run. He couldn't fully control this ability but he did learn how to initiate it's power and so he used it to slice across Hulk's head in an attempt to turn his attention on himself.
Jamie's plan worked as Hulk turned his head to him
Jamie: Hey Dr Banner are you there?
Hulk then felt some his head hurt at the mention of his alter ego as he threw Rubphire couple away.
Hulk: AAAHHHH Banner? Where is puny banner? Puny banner is hulk?
Jamie and Rubphire were surprised that he really talked to them. 'The moment must've triggered some emotional reaction.'
Hulk: NO HULK HATE BANNER! HULK SMASHES ENEMY!
Jamie came to his senses as the hulk now ran towards him. Jamie then had an idea.
Jamie: Don't mean to be mean big green but you're not welcome here either. Catch me if you can!
Garnet : JAMIE NO STOP!
Jamie: Don't worry I'll be ok I promise!
Hulk did just that as he tried to get a hold of Jamie who used his speed to lure hulk away from little homeschool.
Jamie: Well now what?
The pink swordsman lured the rampaging out of control hulk away from little homeschool but he didn't thought through his next move after that.
Jamie: OK let's improvise.
Jamie ran towards Hulk who tried to grab him, but Jamie slide under Hulk and drew his blade to slice at his back.
Hulk growled at him before going for him agan. Jamie again sliced at his hand
Hulk : GRRRRR LITTLE MAN MAKE HULK ANGRY!
Jamie: I know I'm sorry but you have to stop already! You can't be angry all your life Hulk please!
Hulk stopped in his tracks and for some reason became reluctant
"Hulk... is... tired..."
Jamie looked relieved for a moment before the dark flames over took Hulk once againm his veins popping on his whole body
Hulk: WOOOAAAAHH!
Jamie got into defensive posture
Hulk lifts his hands into the air as he smashes into the groudn with great force
Jamie swiftly got out of the way as as the ground pieces were coming out like a giant black wall, blocking his view
He barely avoids the collision with them as he grabs on but isn't fast enough to get back onto the surface as he is sent tumbling down with rocsk and debris following him suit
Sweating, he tries to figure a way out quickly
He then however briefly sees a strange blur coming at him, before finding himself back on the solid ground
Otar: Hey Jamie!
The mailman looked into the sky as he saw Otar's house flying over them. Garny and Moonstone stand beside him
Moonstone: Are you alright?
Jamie: I'm alright and you're just in time.
Garny: What happened here my Jamie?
Jamie: 'Guess I'll have to get used to it' I have no idea. First we search for you *poins at otar* then a shapeshifting man comes barging in the beach city and next is that green hulk here-
He quickly truns to look at where the green creature was, only to find that it had goen without a trace
Otar: Hmm seems like it's not here anymore
Althoguh confused, Jamie felt relieved and took a breath
Jamie: Guys we have to hurry! They need our help!
Riot: This isn't as amusing. Seems like you're no fun on your own.
Stevonnie: Will you just SHUT THE HELL UP?!
Riot: hmm what a tension. I expected more from you Universe...or Maheswaren? I wonder if you have any free will of your own?
Stevonnie was angry at the comment. He poofed Peridot and Opal, he turned school to ruins, let that beast on them all and now he is mocking her counterparts. And seemingly for no reason.
The worst part is that he seemed to realise that and was not paying any sentiment. His mask, his smile his eyes...and even his actions show allude that to him, it's just a twisted experiment...
Stevonnie grudges her teeth in anger
Riot: Don't worry fragile being, I will try to not hit too hard
Stevonnie: THEN BRING IT ON!
Riot smirked as Stevonnie rushed at him again who deflected her sword strikes away until she started using her feet too.
Riot was caught off guard as Stevonnie foot-faced him to the ground.
Stevonnie: Had enough?!
Unaffected, Riot holds her leg and throws her off of him much to her surprise. He was strong.
She scoffed at the injuries she's taken, glaring at him dead in the eye while he himself was cold and calm.
She prepared to dash once again before she stops to look at what he was doing as he put his hands on the ground muttering something
"Let me demonstrate what is darkness"
Stevonnie creeped out realising he is right behind her, Riot calmly puts his hand on her head and Stevonnie no longer finds herself on the grounds of homeschool, but is instead inside her mind. A mindzone she used to travel here with Garnet. She finds herself with her counterparts Steven adn Connie, confused as to how they appeared here.
Stevonnie: W-what?
Steven : Why are we here?
Connie : No better question is where is he?
Riot: So this is how it is here.
The three turn to see Riot standing behind them, meters away...looking around
Stevonnie : Why are we here?
Riot : Everyone interpretes the mindscape differently in each time, place and world. Interesting it would seem here you are all seperated.
Strangely there were numerous butterflies flying around Riot which he also noticed and moved to grab one.
Stevonnie knew what those butterflies were. Those fo pain and struggle, which you must overcome. Riot though just crushed it right after touching it. The rest left and flied off away from him afterwards.
Stevonnie : You don't belong in this place.
Steven : And we warn you.
Connie : Leave or we'll lead you out.
Riot stood unfazed underneath his mask instead noticing that the fusion now was seperate from it's couterparts although steven's was glowing a bit stronger "So you do have individuality huh? So you aren't just a mixed puppet for children..."
Steven : That's not true!
Connie : Stevonnie isn't-
Stevonnie motioned them to stop, telling him the same words she told Jasper years ago "I don't wanna hear anything you say...unless it's sorry"
Suddenly the mindscape was becoming dark as a strange black oil came from Riot and spreading around, they were not at enough to react and it took hold of them
Stevonnie : What is this!?
Connie and Steven were also caught and uncertain
Riot: This is my way of saying sorry... Don't worry it will hurt only for a moment.
It began to darken, as the three were beginning to drown "Become one with the darkness"
Outside the mindscape fortunately the others intercepted Riot, releasing his grip on their fusion as Jamie slices Riot's back
Stevonnie gasps as she breathes in and out
His attemtps interrupted, Riot looked over everyone briefly
Riot: Hmph this round is yours but we'll meet agan.
Opening up a blackish blue portal, Riot disappears from their sight.
Everyone was glad it's over as they looked around for the other gemstones.
Stevonnie then quickly unfuses
Steven *sweating* W-where did he go?
Otar: No idea
Connie : Wait where's that thing?
Jamie : No idea.
Moonstone : Guess we'll have more than gems to worry about now right?...right?
Riot made his way deep into the forest
Riot: Everyone come out
As he said it, the groups of gems emerged from the shadows.
Eyeball: Hmph that could've gone better
Aquamarine: Have you done your task?
Riot: It went quite well. I couldn't destroy them but the damage is done.
Citrine: So it wasn't a waste of our time after all.
A red sapphire appeared "Alas despite out current succesess, Garnet we send have failed unfortunately "
Riot: Yes she joined their ranks.
Eyeball and Aquamarine smirked and fused
Bluebird Azurite: Well she will pay for that as will all of them pretty soon
Bringing Hulk into the game was interesting. I mean if CN has an official multiverse then why not use it here. Btw 'Garnet meeting with KO' is canon in my fic too if not in actual shows.
Stevonnie like other fusions cares much about her personality and her own self. To me when Kevin expressed his uncaring for her decisions, she instantly disliked him.

Garnet remembered what Connie and Jamie told her...
The four sat in Steven's car as they drived towards little homeworld.
Jamie: It doesn't look good from here. But I hardly believe the hulk exists.
Steven: You don't say... a tv character becoming a real person?
Connie: Hulk is a cinematic character from TV show "Darknes and Light 1996", but if Riot tells the truth how did Otar didn't know?
Garnet: We'll find that out later. In the meantime, we must know how to counter the hulk. If Riot send him for an attack on homeschool with such confidence then we are in big trouble. What do you two know about him?
Jamie: Well from what I know, he was once a scientist named Bruce Banner.
Connie: That was until his gamma radiation reactor malfunctioned.
Garnet listened closely to their words. As the two explained, the hulk was in his own claim the strongest creature in his world and went through countless battles, fighting numerous combatants and even contending with both military armies and his own comrades.
Garnet: If what you are saying is true, then we need a plan.
Connie: Well I think we have a chance if we outsmart him.
Jamie: We can't beat someone like that.
Steven: We'll see about that! We've faced many strong foes before and this is no different.
Garnet: Except we are now fighting an organic being.
Jamie: And hulk's body is a literal battle-hardened machine.
Steven: But he is not invincible right? It's fine guys, we can do this. Pearl, Amethyst, Lapis, Bismuth, Peridot may as well just stop him even before we arrive. He is out numbered there
The three looked at Steven somewhat confused and worried. Normally they would be inspired by his optimism but the tone he used to say was a bit more nervous.
But she knew that Steven was right on one thing, they won't lose. They've been through so much that one green dorito won't topple them that easily.
