While Jade and Futaba Are Out on a Date

Nyx stretched on the lawn chair in her backyard, closing her eyes while Xena was meditating on the roof. "Aaaah…" She yawned, feeling quite relaxed after resting from the Strikers tournament.

She looked up to see Xena meditating, then looked to see where Iris was at, then she remembered she decided to go to the Shy Guy Buffet since she worked up an appetite. She smiled, recalling how Jade is out on a date with Futaba. She then pulled out a fruit and tossed it toward her Yoshi who happily gobbled it up.

It was then that she remembered something. "Hey.. Xena?"

"Hmm?"

"You feeling up to doing something?"

"What do you have in mind?"

"I just remembered the other day that Jade brought in some power ups to experiment with."

"Is that what that large bag was for? We thought she found scrap metal."

Nyx giggled. "Nah, it was power ups. So… you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Go crazy with 'em?"

"Okay, now you have my attention."

"More like trying them out." Nyx snickered.

Xena hopped off of the roof and caught herself with her levitation. "Sure, we're game. Although Fire Flowers are a no go. We already mastered pyrokinesis." She said, conjuring up a purple fireball.

"We also have lightning down easily… however, we're still working on water. Sigh, Asahina sure knows how to make it look easy…"

"Hmm… have you guys tried Ice? I know you spend a lot of time with your psychic friends and I know Lucas has ice on him."

"We're… slowly working on ice too." Xena admitted.

"Plus, Lucas mentioned it's not easy to master since it took him a while to master Freeze."

"And of course, Rosie makes it look easy." Xena rolled her eyes with a chuckle.

Nyx chuckled. "Yeah… but what about Starstorm?"

"Starstorm?" Xena rubbed her chin. "Huh… that never crossed our minds. That could be an interesting one to figure out~!"

"That said, we figured out telekinetic explosions!"

Nyx sweatdropped. "Oh boy… hopefully you won't use it on us?"

"Nah, we won't do that. Too much…" Nyx gave her an annoyed look. "Kidding~!"

Nyx chuckled. "Oh you… alright, let's go see what she's got."

BGM: Hero Mode Alterna 3 (Splatoon 3)

Once they went into her lab, they would see plenty of shelves storing power ups. "...I keep forgetting how rich this girl is." Nyx admitted.

"Yeah, girl patents a few inventions and next thing we know, she's sharing her wealth with everyone." Xena rubbed her head.

"Maybe that's why she's still pale~" Yagami giggled.

"Yeah, one tan line and she thinks she's golden." Xena rolled her eyes.

Nyx laughed with them. "Yeah… oh!" She grabbed the Ice Flower. "Since you two are having trouble with ice magic, might as well give you a boost." She handed her the Ice Flower.

"You ready?"

"Let's do it."

Xena absorbed the Ice Flower as her left eye becomes icy blue and her right eye became dark blue as blue highlights covered her bangs as there was a frosty fog around her. "Ooooh…"

"My turn!" Yagami took over as the eyes swapped places but she would also gain a tiara and ice bracelets, which Yagami immediately noticed in a mirror. "Oooh~!"

"Fancy!" Nyx said.

"Aw what? You get a tiara and bracelets?"

"Jealous, are we, sis?" Yagami teased.

"A little bit… aaaand I'm over it." She giggled.

"Alright, let's see what you can do with this." Nyx said as Yagami closed her eyes as Xena popped out of her as the two of them proceeded to conjure up snowflakes and iceballs, and then proceeded to make it snow in the lab, while also creating Mister Blizzards and Freezies.

Nyx whistled. "Niiiiice! This is a perfect set up for an ambush!"

"Right?" Xena giggled.

"...I wonder." Yagami mused as she and Xena proceeded to conjure up icicles and other weapons made out of ice. "Yup, that checks out."

"Alright, pick one out for me!" Nyx requested as Xena went back inside Yagami as the ice weapons dropped to the ground and shattered upon impact as Yagami looked around.

"Hmm… let's see here… oh!" Yagami telekinetically grabbed the Bee Mushroom. "How about this?"

"Hmm, sure!" Nyx nodded as she popped it into her mouth, her outfit now in a bee themed version of it, complete with a yellow bodysuit and chocolate brown stripes, and had decent sized wings on her back, but no stinger. "Not bad!" She said, having her crossbows out.

"Looking cute." Yagami winked as Nyx giggled and fired a few crossbow bolts, which left a trail of honey in its wake. Very sticky honey. "That's gonna attract a lot of bees." She said, sticking her finger in it and licking it off. "Can't say I'd blame them, it's sweet!"

Nyx giggled. "It'd probably get a lot of people stuck there too." She added as she decided to fly up, her wings flapping. "Ohohoho, yes~!" She grinned as Yagami levitated up to greet her.

"Hey, how's the weather up here~?" Yagami grinned. "Pretty great, eh?"

"Yeah, too bad this melts in water."

"Yeah, wouldn't want to wear it when it's raining." She chuckled as they both went down, then Nyx pulled out a Super Ball Flower.

"Ooooh… I've heard about this one." She said. "The Super Ball Flower."

"That hangs around Sarasaland, right?" Yagami wondered.

"Yeah. You ever been there?"

"Well, we tried. We walked across the border, felt the heat and went "nope", and went back into the cooler climate."

"I still don't know how Daisy deals with that…"

"I was thinking of bringing Jade there… just so she can get some color on her skin." Nyx chuckled. "Might invite Futaba there too, if she wants."

"Yeah, seriously, our egghead needs to get out more… and I don't think missions count."

"Or dates with Futaba, since they spend their dates indoors or in the evenings."

"Exactly." Nyx agreed. "You wanna take this one or should I?"

"Eh, you can take it."

"Okay!" Nyx nodded, absorbing it as she dons a gray jumpsuit. "Okay…?" She then fired a bolt, which when it hit the wall, it richocheted all over the place. "Oh!"

"Whoa!"

Yagami telekinetically caught it before the arrow hit her in the arm. "Best to use that one outdoors."

"Yeeeeah, probably for the best." Nyx sheepishly rubbed her head as she looked around. "Ooooh, this one looks good!" She pulled out a Double Cherry.

"Twin cherries?" Yagami wondered as Nyx gave it to her and then Yagami popped it into her mouth, and immediately after, Xena popped out.

"Huh?!" Xena said in surprise.

Yagami looked at Xena in shock. "Did I call you out?"

"No! I didn't come out of my own free will either!"

"Yeah, that's a Double Cherry. It makes clones… up to… five, I think."

"Ooooh, so that's the Double Cherry?" Xena wondered. "Heard it's pretty rare here, but it's pretty common in that one kingdom… what was it… Sportsie?"

"Sprixie, I think." Yagami thought aloud.

"Yeah, Sprixie. However, if one of you gets hit, you disappear."

"Yeah…" Xena agreed before it dawned on her. "Wait a moment! Sis, do you feel like your magic is draining? Like, do you feel fifteen minutes ticking down?"

"No, I don't think-" Yagami's eyes widened. "Holy shit…"

Xena grinned. "Mhm!"

Yagami squealed in delight. "YES! We get to do so much shit together and we don't have to worry about a time limit!"

"Hell yeah!" They both high fived each other.

Nyx laughed. "In that case, I'd probably find a Double Cherry and use it when the situation calls for the both of you." She said. "Now, let's get you back to normal." She fired a bolt at Yagami's foot, where she disappeared.

"Okay, first of all… OW!"

"...Wait, that hurt? You vanished in a puff of smoke!"

"Kidding~! Didn't feel a thing!"

Nyx sweatdropped while Xena burst out laughing. "Oh boy… what am I gonna do with you…" She chuckled as she grabbed another power up, which was the Frog Suit. "Oh right, this exists."

"Ah yes, the one that Cloud was complaining about." Xena chuckled.

"Well, I've heard this lets you swim more freely compared to the Penguin Suit… even though that gives us women diving gear… or turns Gloria into an Empoleon. On the down side, you're in a frog-like posture."

"Think that does a number on your spine… hopefully we're wrong." Xena said.

"We've also heard that you can potentially run on water with this thing."

"I think that's just a rumor though." Nyx said, putting it back on the shelf and then pulled out a Tanooki Suit. "Ooooh!" She looked to Xena. "All yours, girlfriend." She tossed it to her as she immediately caught it.

Once Xena absorbed it, she gained Tanooki ears, leaves surrounded her body as her eyes changed to autumn colors, while also gaining the Tanooki tail. "How do we look?"

"Pretty good! Oh, and with that suit, you could also turn into a statue for about… ten seconds, I believe." Nyx said as Xena did so, flashing a peace sign with a dorky smile as said statue before the statue poofed away, which caused Nyx to laugh.

"I wonder…" Xena closed her eyes and lifted her hands up, which caused the wind to pick up in the room.

"Oh hey, wind manipulation!"

"You wanna know the best thing about this? Apparently you can kill Thwomps with this thing."

"Niiiiice!" Xena grinned.

"Alright, got anything else for me?"

Xena looked around, spotting a Rock Mushroom and turning around. "How about this one?" She offered as Nyx took it, and would gain rock armor.

"Hmm…" She mused as she fired her crossbows where the bolts landed and rocks floated up in the air. "Ooooh, I got my own Stealth Rock!"

"Niiiice!" Xena grinned as Nyx looked around and pulled a flower off the shelf… but it was no ordinary flower…

It was the Gold Flower.

"...Oh shit." Nyx's eyes widened. "Where the hell did she find this?"

"What? It's just a regular golden flower."

"...You don't know the true power of this thing, don't you?"

"Not really."

"Okay, soooo… this was on the news several years ago, but there was this whole craze about Gold Flowers where, when you use it, you leave a trail of coins in your wake, you can even turn anything into gold for extra cash. Goombas, Koopas, Bullet Bills, you name it… hell, that's the reason why Golden Plains is a popular hot spot for getting coins because Gold Flowers were all over the place… of course, nowadays, it's rare to find one of them because rumor has it that Wario caught wind of it and took them all."

Xena sweatdropped. "That definitely sounds like him."

"Not only that, but this is a weapon of mass destruction."

"...Aren't you overhyping it?"

"Well, what if I told you that, on the news, Mario used this on Bowser to rescue Peach and knocked him out with one hit?"

Xena's eyes widened in disbelief. "Holy shit." She and Yagami said together.

"Yeah, and this can also kill Boos… although not Boohemoths. We don't touch this thing at all unless it's absolutely necess-"

"Ahem!"

Both girls flinched as they turned to see Jade, who looked absolutely annoyed while tapping her foot. They would see that her lab was covered in honey, rocks, snow, sentient ice and a few Mr. Blizzards were playing catch with snowballs.

"...Ooooh, hi Jade! You're home earlier than expected." Xena said.

"I actually came to get a few things because I'm actually going to spend the night at Futaba's home, and then I see my lab door open." She sighed in annoyance. "While I don't mind that you three are in my lab, or trying out the power ups… what I do mind is that you're messing up my equipment!"

Nyx grimaced. "Riiiight, sorry… we'll clean this up."

"You better! Normally my cleaning robot would pick up this mess, but thanks to your shenanigans, he's all gunked up!" She pointed to her robot covered in honey and ice.

"Beep. Boop. Kill me! For the love of circuitry, KILL MEEEEE!"

"Great, you made him malfunction into his "bargaining mode"..." Jade sighed. She then turned the entrance. "Hey babe? Movie night is gonna be a bit delayed due to these knuckleheads!"

"What?" Futaba came into the lab. "What do you meaaaaa- holy crap!" She said, jawdropping.

"You brought her with you?" Xena asked.

"I wasn't gonna leave her alone by herself so I asked her if she wanted to accompany me while I gathered up my things."

Futaba then burst out laughing. "Oh, you guys are in so much trouble! This is hilarious!" She even brought out her phone and snapped a few pictures.

"Alright, let's get to cleaning this up…" Nyx rubbed her head with a sheepish chuckle.

"Sorry about this, hon…"

"You kidding? I love this!" Futaba giggled. "We'll worry about that movie later!"

Jade giggled. "Okay!" She said as they got to work, as even Futaba pitched in after her laughing fit, and once it was all cleaned up, they walked out of the lab as Jade gathered up her things and headed out to the front door.

"You ready?" Futaba asked.

"Yeah." Jade nodded as they both attempted to kiss each other on the lips but Futaba shied away and kissed her on the forehead instead, then they both walked out together.

"What do you know… I guess they didn't have their first kiss yet." Nyx chuckled. "Well, I guess it's just you and me, Xen-... Xena?" She looked around and saw a note on the coffee table.

"Going to spend the night at Umber's. - Xena"

Nyx sweatdropped. "Why do I have this feeling they took another Double Cherry…"

Meanwhile, at Alola…

"Ooooh Uuumbeeeer~!"

Umber turned his head. "Oh hey Xena. What's up?" He asked as Xena giggled and pulled out the Double Cherry. "What's with the-" She popped it into her mouth as Yagami appeared next to her. "Huh?"

"Double Cherry. You can make a clone of yourself… and in our case, both of us can be out at the same time without worrying about those silly fifteen minutes!"

"Oh cool!" Umber smiled before it dawned on him, as he blushed a deep red as both girls snapped their fingers to change their outfits into bikinis.

"How's about we snuggle tonight with you in the middle~?" Yagami smiled seductively.

"Oh Arceus yes~!" He said as he walked back to his home with the psychic twins.
