Diemonsions and Time are quite intriguing adn they share one trait : They show variaty of how when and where events can change to unknwon directions. Explaining that variaty is no less confusing :

Garnet: Traveling through time and space can be instant yet some changes may feel like they were here from the whole time.

Amethyst : Gaah really I was almost confused if I am the right amethyst for a moment there.

Pink Pearl : But how did this happen? I remember Amethyst going to Homeschool for another session but what happened after?

Jamie : Well amethyst did go to little homeschool and then she met me on my way to Otar's home.

Amethyst : Dude asked us to help to clean up his room haha

Otar: Hey

Jamie : Amethyst found one of his travelling devices and accidentally it sent us across other timelines. First in which the rebellion never yet happened...

Pearl looked intrigued as she at times wondered as well how it would've changed if they did not rebell

...we located the belt fortunately however were transported to homeworld again where we met gem counterparts of our rhodonite...

Garnet expressed a genuine surprise from hearing of that they saw how rhodonite fused ( though she probably felt strange as she remembered being rejuvenated herself)

Otar: yeaah the next timeline was sad really

Steven :What do you mean? What happeend there?

Otar looked at Amethyst then at Jamie before continuing "Well then Steven prepare yourself"

Hours earlier ( In another timeline)

A sunny day in beach city which is in peace and prosperity...and in it's streets are walking three newcomers

Jamie : Heh feels like a lifetime ago

Amethyst : yeaah wonder if I'm as cool here

Otar : You know we should have a trip arond the town again after we're done

The two nodded as they walked towards the beach

Ame : Are you sure Steven is in danger?

Otar : Perhaps I'm wrong but making sure won't hurt

Meanwhile

Steven is a bit pessimistic at the moment . hell he was very sad for some reason as he can't even eat his favourite donut

Pearl: Steven? Is something wrong?

Steven looks on tosee his 3 guardians

Pearl and Amethyst were visibly worried whiel Garnet was little concerned

Pearl : Are you okay Steven?

Ame : yea, dude you look totally bummed
Steven tried to appear cheerful, he really tried to feel okay but he just can't keep this up like that as he squeezed his shirt

Steven said " Actually ...ther IS something that's been bothering me... I haven't asked though, because I'm afraid of what your answer will be ...

Garnet : What is it?

Pearl : ou know you can ask us anything

Ame : Yea man spill the beans ha!ha!

Steven thought wheter to say or not before answering

He said "Ok well... you know how you guys are always talking about my mom and stuff you did together...

Three gems seemed somewhat confused at what he meant

Steven had trouble saying though

"Do...do you ever... (snaps) - DO YOU EVER WISH SHE WAS STILL HERE INSTEAD OF ME?!"

Steven sniffed at the gems who didn't know what to say

Steven : well SAY SONETHING!

He yelled and hit the gems...who just poofed right before him

The gems in reality were just a fabrications of Rose's room Steven was in for a while hour .

Steven believed it would help him feel better but all ot did was just worsening his morale.

Gems wouldn't want him. Not really.

Steven then exited the poofy room dissapointed and sad.

Steven thinks 'Maybe I should talk to Connie

Later

Connie and Steven sat on the cliff watching the horizon and talking about something. Unbeknowest to them however, the three strangers were hiding behind the watch tower and watching them.

Otar: Wow classuc Steven and Connie right there.

Jamie: Careful they may see us

Ame: Guys don't you think this is a little creepy?

Connie: So...gems don't die? They just...regenerate?

Steven: Thry retreat into their gem, and then create a new form.

Connie: Wow so their forms are just an illusion? ...Whatever they want it to be?

Steven: Yep ... They're just sentient space rocks...

Or rather... I am her gem. And this is now my form...when she regenerated, she chose to create me.

Connie put her hand hand on her mouth , concerned about Steven's choice of words

"But I'm still technically Rose Quartz. I think...

Connie : Do you...think about it a lot?

Steven did not answer as the black winged bird

Connie: Steven?

Steven was silent for a minute before he said smiling

" Hey Connie...

CM : Yes?

SU: You'll still like me if I'm a space rock...Right?

Connie: Yes of course! Where are you going?

Steven took few steps looking down

SU: I just ...don't know. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl...they've done so much for me and cared for me, despite the fact that I...this form, took away their most important person. It must've been hard...

Amethyst took an upset expression at what she just heard

Jamie: he didn't think of that right?

Amethyst: We didn't know at the time

Otar: Unfortunately that how it was back then-

They then looked back to see no one there

Connie walked away and Steven straight up dissapeared somewhere

Otar: What the?! Where is he?!

They came out from their hiding spot to find him. They ran down the cliff to search through the beach but couldn't find him. With each minute Amethyst became increasingly worried

Amethyst ' What if he does something to himself? Bro please don't do this to yourself

Jaime: Uhaaa guys I FOUND HIM!

The two ran to Jaime to find him sitting on his knees with a rose quartz gem in his hands. It wasn't pink diamond but just a quartz this time.

But either way Amethyst was slowly approaching as her tears came down

"H-hey this can't be Steven...it can't be..."

Otar: No no we we can't be too late...

Then the belt started glowing again which confused them before Amethyst thinks of something

Amethyst: That...that time thingy...it can help us to bring Steven!

Otar looked at his belt for a time thinking what can happen but he can't let Steven die...'I won't...never'

"Okay give it to me

Jamie handed him the gem which Otar put into contact with belt's glowing hourglass .

For the first few seconds nothing three hoped with all their strength for a miracle to happen

Which then happened as the energy of the hourglass flowed into Steven's gem.

The gem in question sparkled bright light and lifted into the air and transformed into the little man Universe.

Amethyst quickly caught him as she hugged him tightly

Amethyst: "Don't you ever dare to scare us like that Steven"

Steven was obviously unconscious as he didn't respond but was breathing normally.

They knew this world's gems would look for him right now

Jaime: We should take him to the beach house when they leave.

Otar: Hmm they may think we barged in to kidnap him.

Amethyst: Whehell they'll think more like I'm a homeworld spy.

The three walked to the beach house careful as to not to alert the gems of their presence.

Amethyst: They don't seem to be there.

Otar: So they already look for him.

Jaime: C'mon let's go in

They made their way to the house, opening the door and looking around.

Jaime : he didn't wake up yet so we may be able to...

Pearl: Did you find him?!

The three heard the gems outside the house

Otar : We should hurry!

They put Steven on the sofa nearby and prepared to travel elsewhere

Amethyst: he will be okay ?!

Jaime: Don't worry

Otar: They will take care of him from here

Amethyst was reluctant and looked at Steven

Amethyst: Please be okay dude

The three then pressed their hand on the belt before they were teleported away to unknwon destination

The light from the house then alerted the gems outside.

They ran all the way there scared and worried sick.

As Garnet amethyst and Pearl entered the house looking there and here for signs of Steven and saw him on sofa who woke up just from the blinding light earlier.

Steven was about to say something before he remembered why they worried in the first place and looked away in sorrow and shame

Pearl immediately pulled him into her arms with Garnet and Amethyst following.

Amethyst: Don't ever scare us like that Steven *sniffs*

Garnet: We never wanted you to feel this way

Pearl: Steven I'm sorry

Steven: It's just...

The three didn't loosen their grip

"We know Steven...and we love you. Nothing will change that"

Steven cried in happiness as he hugged back as tightly as he could. They loved him and hebloves them too

Later Evening

Steven still hugged Pearl unable to sleep because of what happened today . He didn't want to be alone

"Pearl...do you ever feel...dissapointed ? ...that I'm here and mom's not?

P: S-Steven! What would make you-

SU: mom's portrait.

Pearl: ..I...

S: I noticed how you look at it often...and seem sad...But I'm just NOT her! I KNOW YOU MISS HER...but it's only me here!

Pearl was shocked but she reassured Steven

Pearl: Oh Steven I do miss your mother ...but that doesn't mean I don't want you.

She wiped Steven's tears before hugging him

"If I ever lost you...I wouldn't be able to stand it.

Steven looked at her now " I need you to believe that"

Meanwhile with Jamie and company

Otar: And I guess that's how it went there

All the room was silent

The gems were uncomfortable and sad

Sabina : Wow that...surely was a...sore...story

Steven just looked down on the floor in disbelief .

Steven: Aah it'salrightit wasn't me so it's fine...

Not everyone was convinced but decided to speak of the matter some other time

Sabina: ...So what happened next?

Otar cleared his throat before continuing

"Well we then appeared in the car...
