3RD POV - ?
Steven - Wallet? Check. Keys? Check.
He looks at his bro "Twoei? Check."
Twoei - Oh I can't wait! Ever since you said you learend how to drive, I've always wanted to know how it's like!
Steven - Well you won't really until you get older. Just becase I can now doesn't mean you can, sorry Twoei"
Steven pats his hair as he leave for the door but midway he thinks "You can come with me if you want though"
Twoei - Really?
Steven - Sure I wouldn't mind yo hanging iot with other gems on my car
They then left to go see the car
Once inside Dondai Supremo, Twoei was excited with stars in his eyes
Steven then turned it on and drove to the little homeschool
Twoei did get bored however so he then opted to tunr on the radio to listen to some music
Steven didn't like that apparently "TWOEI WaIT-!
It was Steven's own song
"I'M TIRED OF THE WAY THAT THINGS HAVE BEEN OP, OOOH-"
Twoei chuckled
Steven - Not a word
Steven turned it out a bit put off now 'I sure hope Garnet's sessions will help me'
Leah asks "Again why are we doing this...what was it again?"
"Humans use this kind of ritual to calm their minds"
Meditating, Steven breathes in as he heads to Garnet's words. They were in the middle of her yoga sessions, he doesn't take part in them very often but decided to join this oen for...reasons
"Try to find your center, your very core..."
It was helpful however, he was mostly calm now. All the stress seems to go behind him, at least it's not resurfacing
Garnet lifts both her hands as Steven and the gem students all close their eyes and do the same
"For your fusion to work, there needs to be a balance."
"An imbalance can cause your fusion to lose touch with reality..."
"...see things that aren't there, and eventually... fall apart"
"To find balance, you must understand your feelings."
"Breathe... listen to the waves..."
"... and let them fade away..."
"Here comes a thought..."
"Now concentrate and release all the tension and sounds that are trapped inside your mind"
Remember when he had it under control now? Yeah or so he thought
Steven's body then began to glow up and tense as he screams "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
The sound caught everyone's attention disrupting the session now, it even left a crack on her visor
Leah : What was that just now?
Garnet : Steven, are you okay?
Looking at her damaged visor, Steven began to sweat as he covered his mouth. Apparently this wasn't what he wanted to happen.
"uhm no I'm fine I'm fine...oh sorry I gotta go somewhere! See ya!"
He didn't let Garnet say anything as he sprinted away
Steven breathed heavily. He opens the door in his car, closes it and tries toget hold of himself.
'Okay be cool. It was just a little yell, it happens at yoga sometimes'
He himself didn't exaclty believe what he was saying, feeling as thogh he was making excuses like some sort of bully.
He sighs "Alright it's nothing. There's always a next time. I'm sure it'll work out"
He wasn't sure of that either as he said the same the previous time.
"Ugh where is he now?"
Steven picks up his phone
"SURPRISE!"
Steven jumps up suddenly and hits his head
"Ow what the?"
He looks outside to see his little twin brother Twoei and the pearl gem Cherry Pink
They take a stealth stance "NINJA STYLE!"
Steven laughs nervously "Haha Very funny..."
Cherry Pink : Sorry if wwe took it too far...
T : Yeah we're working on a sneak attack
S : Sneak attack on me?!
Cherry Pink : Sorry it was supposed to be a joke...anyways see you around
She pats Twoei's head and leaves the two, as Twoei gets into the car
S : Well how was it?
T : It was great! They loved the baseball game idea! Lapis was winning mostly though so some have left ...annoyed.
Steven didn't look surprised. Lapis had the advantage with her water powers...Peridot too but only if they use metal bats instead
Twoei : So anyway where do we go now?
Steven : I don't know...
T : Oh I get it! You don't have much to do...
Steven ddin't answer
"...just like me!"
Steven then looks at him and slowly smiles
"You know what then...I'll let you decide where to go today!"
Twoei glows in excitement
"Really?! Then get ready!...
"...For we are going for the jungle trip!"
S : This is a forest...
T : Well it's close enough! Jamie said that connecting with nature would be healthy for the mind and body. I wanna become a tarzan someday!
Steven was skeptical and didn't want to get his hopes up 'Healthy for the body huh?'
Steven spoke out weakly "Yayyyy"
Twoei : C'mon why the long face? Look around here, a cool waterfall, the growing trees, flowers, animals, a magical portal...
Steven "Sure tees, animals portals...Wait WHAT PORTAL!?
Steven looks up the waterfall as he sees the white bright circle..."what is that?"
Steven and Twoei made their way up the waterfall to inspect the portal
Twoei : Wow see?! I knew we'd find something cool! Let's go!
Steven : Hey wait a minute!
Steven forms a a bubble around Twoei "We can't just head there. We don't know where that thing goes...
Twoei : We've been through portals before you know?
Steven : This is different than gem warps okay?
Steven agan looks at portal wondering if that one belongs to lion
Twoei : Well we can go together right? You have my back!
Steven slowly drops his bubble as he nodded
Steven : Of course I will! You aren't going without me!
Twoei takes his arm as he runs after the portal and passes through
"Huh it...doesn't seem as bad as I thought"
Steven looks around as he sees a nice and precious beach site. It sure was a sunny day out here
T : This is great! I hope we can take others here too!
S : Not a bad idea but where is this?
That was a question neither could answer.
Steven however noticed something interesting...a sand castle, and big one at that. It was a size of a apartment or two...but in japan like style
T : Hey there's a sign there!
Steven sees the sign and reads "Sand castle contest..."
T : Grand prize $650!
Steven : Wow it seems there's a game here but why isn't anyone here
T : Perhaps they aren't here yet! C'mon let' build a house!
S : huh and why is that?
T : Why not? $ 650 remember!?
Steven "...Okay I guess it won't hurt to get some cash"
Twoei and Steven started constructing the first parts of their castle
"Wait how big are we making it?"
Twoei : The bigger the better!
S 'That isn't helping'
Their progress was however stopped for they found themselves buried under sand the next minute
For a moment there was no asnwer before their heads popped out coughing out sand
Twoei : Well that was unexpected
Steven : Wow what kind of joke is this!?
Luckily they weren't too deep in the sand so they easily get out
"Okay who si the prankster here?"
For some time no one asnwered as they looked around until Twoei looked upwards "Uhm I think I found her?"
Steven : Her?
Steven looks up as well to see a girl...with wings. A light orange dress with yellow trim, a red belt, red heart shaped buttons, and a yellow heart with ribbons that flow around her arms, white boots with wings on the backs of them, and an orange hairband with long orange and yellow horns.
Steven : Who is that? An alien?
It may be a sun blocking thier view but he could swear her skin appears to be a bright yellow, her hair is twisted up into two pigtails with red hair-ties, she has four extra arms and large orange and yellow butterfly-like wings, and her eyes have big yellow stars inside them
Twoei : Wow maybe! Never seen those kind of aliens before! I really like her outfit!
A butterfly figure suddenly grew larger...Steven then quickly grabs Twoei and gets out of the way!
The shockwave from her wings created a sand wave that gains in on them
Steven uses his shield to bubble them from the sand luckily they weren't buried this time
He calls up his shield "It doesn't seem like she likes us though!
She ahd some kind of stick in one of her hands and it was glowing as a big ball of light is shot his way "Stand back!"
Steven blocks it with his shield, jumpin upwards and throwing his shield at her but she dodges
She blasts at him yet again this time with heart-shaped objects
Steven forms a bubble that protects him from the attack as he lands back
She then started to blast randomly at the beach site
Twoei was covering with his own bubble "Why is she attacking us?! Why are you attacking us miss!?"
She didn't answer, instead she flied right after him
Steven didn't like where this was going so and with his hands covered with pink bubbles, he intercepts her and punches her in the face
She retorts by hitting her legs in his face and then she brings about a water wave, washing them both away
Twoei spits out a fish while Steven coughs up a star
Twoei : Huh if it wan't dangerous I would've laughed now
Steven : I'm not laughing T.
T : Wow aren't you a grumpy one
Steven jumps away with Twoei as their prankster wasn't giving them a break
She shoots a set of knife nose fish at them which Steven blocked with his shield
He then throws it at her riht in the face as she lands head frist in the sand
Twoei laughs "Hah how do you like that now!?"
His laugh was cut short. The beam of light eminated from her as she emerges
To their surprise she uttered words "Wow that was RUDE"
She sent out a horde of giant horses and they were angrily going at them.
Her image now changed, she seemed more menacing
He falls to his knees, unsure of what to do
Twoei : Steven...what should we do?
Steven looked at his brother who looked scared now
He then looks at the butterfly girl in rage
S : What is wrong with you!?
His stress was now catching up to him 'No no not now'
He didn't wann lash out but he had no choice...
S : Just leave us...
...and honestly he didn't care...
S : ALONE!
He didn't wanna hold back anymore!
He yelled out very loud and then his body becomes more grown up and muscle like. It seeems to be his new form
Twoei had to block his ears
To his surprise however, someone emerged from the sand and sea...someone he didn't expect to see here but was glad to see
It were watemelon Stevens only they were more muscular
T : Watermelons! Please help!
They came to Steven's aid as they now attacked the horde. Thier numbers were equally matched. Horses (who looked like unicorns with grumpy faces) used their head spikes to pierce throguh Watermelons which had no effect
One of them confronts Steven head on but he easily catches it and throws it away
He then dashes up to meet her gaze "See you later...Pinky"
She then gathers a light ball to cast on him
However he was triggered by the nickname, and in his rage the time slows down
And he creates a bubble around him, this time with spikes on it
It deflects the balst downwards hitting the beah and creating a crater
Twoei tries to fight too as he rided the horse but the shockwave sent them all flying
T : What was that?
He looks up to see Stevn facing the butterfly figure
T (smiling) : Show her who's boss here!
Steven also smiles as he then charges at her. His arm becomes swollen and big and he hits her hard into the ground
Not wasting any time he then created a hexagonal shield, surrounding the entire beach
Steven : GOODBYY WEIRD FLUCK GIRL!
The cage then began to close up on everyone inside
Twoei : Wait stop you'll hurt everyone! Thi is too far!
In his blind rage and adrenaline, Steven doesn't hear his brother
Butterfly girl was trying to get out , lighting up her 'power wand'
But before she could go any further, Steven bubbles away her wand leaving her powerless
Or so he thought...as after that happened, the butterfly connects her hands and numerous laser beams appeared on the ground inside
Then the giant laser came out from her body, ramming through the cage while killing most inside
Steven fell down weakened from his cage being ripped apart
He then shakingly lifts himself up to see the dust settle and everyone inside being eliminated
On sight caught his attention however as he felt utter horror
Twoei, his little baby brother laid on the ground, bloody, with his left arm missing
He fell to his knees, picking up his brother "H-hey Twoei, you're okay right? Right?!"
He didn't answer
"Twoei don't joke around! Please say something!"
This time he did answer, his eyes slowly opening as he uttered
"Steven..."
S : No no don't speak I'm so sorry. I just wasn't thinking!
"Please... don't blame yourself for what happend to me"
S : No no no Stop talking like it's over! I can save you!
Steven tries his spit on Twoei only to see it doesn't work
"Grr why isn't it working!?"
T : It won't work...(coughes) in this form...
Steven looked at his slowing muscular form, it appears to be unstable
He did this to him, he done it...how could he do this
He couldn't ...
He wouldn't...
...Would he?
'I'm becoming like her'
His rage was overwhelming him now...His anger at the butterfly girl who started this but also at himself...he could've done something...anything to prevent this... as a senior brother, he should've known better
'Am I nothing more but a monster?'
That thought stuck in him when The butterfly girl's shadow then falls down on him and he sees her ready for another round
"YOU...YOU...THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
His bod then went through another stage...Due to all of his emotional grief, and sense of uselessness Steven feels like a evil monster and therefore transformed into a humongouas beast.
Twoei stood up weakly as he stares at his older self "It should've been like this"
In such a state, his blood was flooding out as he loses consciousness
In Steven's new form, he has a bestial mentality not unlike a Corrupted Gem; only much more powerful and dangerous than before.
He didn't felt anything but rage and intent to kill...
Thebutterfly girl blasted at his face, angering him as he punches her away
Immense satisfaction was felt within him.
He craved more...adn he then goes on to pummel the butterfly girl down
She tries to protect herslef with all her 6 glowing hands
The mosnter wasn't holding back now as he continuously hits her and she matched them all
However Steven then used his tail as he rams it at her
She falls into the sea before coming out and shooting the same lasers she sed when his brother was hurt
Electricity flows through his eyes as he opens his mouth to match her power
They were at a standstill for a while but eventually the pure raw stength of Steven overpowered the butterfly girl
She fell down on the water...he makes his way to her ashe lifts his leg and drops it at her
"NO!"
Steven opened his eyes as he shouts out for mnster to stop
To his surprise and shock, he found himself laying on the ground at the beach site of beach city
"What was that? A dream?"
He finds himself at the shores, thebeach house right around the corner
"So this wasn't real? Phew...now that's a relief"
He really was scared, but he shouldve guessed it
'I mean really...little brother that I practicallly couldn't have had, all th butterflies and unicorns'
"Heh guess I should go home and take some rest"
He makes his way to the beach house, noticing flashing lights coming from inside his house.
Steven *gasps* All right! Now that I've saved the universe... I can finally party!
Steven runs to his house and sees everyone... Rhodonite, Padparadscha, Rutile Twins, Fluorite, and Lars Barriga. Including Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Connie Maheswaran... even Onion.
Steven is eager to join the party as he begins to open his door, but it disappears.
Steven Huh? *banging* Hey, guys! What's the deal?! Let me in!
Cookie Cat *deep voice; echos* Steven.
Steven's eyes widened as he looks up at the obsidian statue only ot find it's face switched with the face from his cookie cat cake
Cookie cat : ...No one needs your help, so why are you still here?
Steven (confused) : What?
Steven falls off of his house and earth into the infinte abyss as he screams in horror
Steven *gasps; wakes up heavily* Why do I keep having these horrible dreams?
? : (from afar) STEVEN!
Steven : Peridot?
Peridot : STEVEN, STEVEN, STEVEN, STEVEN, STEVEN!~ Today is the day!
And the rest is history so watch In Dreams episode...wow I gotta say this turned out to be a bigger chapter than usual.
I wanted to incorporate this for quite a while and I've done it. And for those who wodnered, yes that butterfly girl really is SB herself. It's good she travels dimensions and all so it's easier for her to appear in dreams of others...
Steven's dream can also be seen as a metaphor...Twoei is Steven's youth and nice guy nature and butterfly can represent his pain and ptsd that messes up that nice guy and if that inner beast is untamed, it will ruin everything which it did in end of that fight where he treid to kill her...Don't worry she isn't dead probably.
