"I'm telling you, Chiaki. This Cassiopeia person is highly suspicious."
Chiaki held back a snicker while shooting down a space pirate. "Well, it's not so bad. I'm sure they mean well. By the way, where are you in Gen Nine?"
"I've been so busy, I haven't even started playing Violet yet…"
"Ah… well, Hajime and I have finished it and, well, I'm not gonna reveal who Cassiopeia is."
"Major spoiler?"
"Yup. Good luck figuring it out!" She smiled.
"That's lovely… what are you playing, by the way?"
"Metroid Prime Remastered. I just finished Return to Dreamland Deluxe."
"Oh, did you love the Magolor side story? I thought it was pretty good."
Chiaki grinned. "Oh boy, I LOVED it! Though, I have a pretty good feeling Magolor more than likely caused Redgar Forbidden Lands to be the way that it is."
"You and pretty much everyone." Futaba chuckled. "...Oh, hang on, my girl's calling me."
"I'll be here!"
Chiaki charged up her arm cannon and fired, taking down an enemy. She happily hummed to herself while Elfilin watched intently.
"Man, you're really good at this!"
"Thank you." She giggled as Kirby walked into the room. "Oh, hey Kirby."
"Poyo." Kirby smiled as he pulled out a poster. "Poyo Poyo?"
"Hmm?" Chiaki paused and looked at the poster he gave her. "Merry Magoland? Oh, Magolor's theme park."
"Poyo!"
"And you really want to go and want me to tag along?" She gave him a knowing smile.
Kirby's eyes sparkled. "Poyo!"
Chiaki giggled. "Sure, we'll go with ya." She said as BB-8 chirped and Elfilin nodded.
"That sounds like fun!" Elfilin said as Chiaki saved, then turned off her Switch.
"Oh… need to tell Futaba something." She said, writing her a message and then turned off the video call.
"Sorry about leaving so abruptly. Something just came up. I'll be back soon!"
Chiaki got up and stretched. "Alright, let's go." She said as they walked out of her room and headed straight for Popstar.
BGM: Taking it Easy (Kirby Squeak Squad)
"Okay, soooo… where's Magoland?" Elfilin asked.
"I'm sure we'll find it. We just gotta find the right Warp Sta-..." Chiaki paused for a minute. "Hmm…"
"Poyo?"
Chiaki smiled. "You think we oughta invite Taranza? I'm sure he'd love to be invited."
"Poyo!" Kirby nodded.
"Yeah, agreed. Let's go get him."

In Floralia…
BGM: Fine Fields (Kirby: Triple Deluxe)
Taranza sat against the edge of Floralia, sighing deeply. "Is there any way to bring her back…?"
He heard the sound of a Warp Star coming toward him as Kirby and Chiaki hopped off. "Kirby? Chiaki?"
"Heya!" Chiaki waved.
"Hiiiii!" Kirby greeted.
"Hey there!" Elfilin smiled as BB-8 greeted him in boops.
"Oh, it's good to see you! I… I never get that much company, admittedly." Taranza admitted. "Sure, I get visited by Kirby and Dedede every once in a while…"
Chiaki smiled, kneeling down and giving him a small hug. "There there…" She said softly as Taranza hugged her back. "So, I was wondering if you want to come with us to Magoland."
"Really?" Taranza asked with his eyes sparkling. "Oh, that's wonderful! I hardly ever get invited to anything these days… except for when Magolor rounds up the Star Allies for an adventure."
"Oh, y'all already beat me to it." A voice said as they turned to see Dedede walking up. "I was gonna come ask if the little guy wanted to hang out."
"Well, we were gonna take him to Magoland. You wanna go?"
"Yeah, sure, been a while since I last went there." Dedede said.
Taranza nodded. "Then let's go!"

Later…
BGM: WELCOME TO MAGOLAND! (Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe)
Everyone landed on the ground. "Wooooow!" Taranza said. "This is amazing!"
"Yeah. It's awesome!" Chiaki said as they walked through.
"Hey hey hey hey! Welcome!" Magolor waved. "Nice to see all of ya!"
"You really went all out, didn't you?" Chiaki chuckled.
"I sure did! Feel free to check out the various attractions at Magoland! Oh, there's also a Samurai tournament about to start. Feel free to watch or sign up… or don't! It's all up to you!"
Chiaki looked at Taranza. "What do you wanna do?"
"Oh, I'm fine if I watch the tournament. That sounds fun."
"Yeah, it does." Chiaki nodded. "I think I'll watch along with ya and keep you company."
"Same here!" Elfilin nodded as BB-8 booped.
"Aw, thanks." Taranza nodded. "And what about you gu-"
They noticed Kirby and Dedede scribbling their names to sign themselves up for the tournament, causing them to sweatdrop. "I… guess they're gonna be fighting." Chiaki said.
"Heheheheh!" Dedede smirked, looking down at the puffball. "I'm gonna get ya, Kirby!"
"Poyo!" Kirby smirked back, electric bolts shooting out of their eyes.
"You can definitely feel the electricity in the air!" Magolor said.
"They clobber each other often, don't they?" Elfilin deadpanned.
"Yeah, but it's mostly for fun." Chiaki giggled. "Come on, let's go get some seats."
"Right." Taranza nodded as they walked off, and grabbed some cotton candy along the way.

Once they sat down, Magolor came flying in a referee outfit. "Alriiiiight! Welcome to the samurai tournament where people either KO their opponent in one hit or they do a full on battle! And let's be real here, full on battles are way more exciting in this environment!" Magolor chuckled. "Now then, today we are going to randomize our opponents!"
Randomizing? …Oh boy. Chikai thought.
"Aaaaand let the first samurai battle commence!" Magolor declared as two people stood up front.
Peko… and Roxas.
"Oh hey, it's Peko!" Chiaki smiled. "...Wait… Roxas? …Oh, she's screwed."
"So, you're my opponent?" Peko asked.
"Actually, I'm the wrong number. I'm just the delivery boy." He snapped his fingers as a Samurai Nobody rose from the ground.
Okay, she's LESS screwed. Chiaki thought with a sigh of relief. Although, Samurai Nobody aren't to be taken lightly…
BGM: Blinded by Light (Final Fantasy XIII)
"Is that one of your friends?" Taranza asked.
"Yup." Chiaki nodded as Peko drew her scabbard while the Samurai pulled out his swords.
"Interesting! Miss Pekoyama isn't going to unsheath her sword? She must be really confident!" Magolor said.
Both of them lunged, clashing with their weapons as the Samurai parried her and swung down, but Peko swiftly kept up the momentum, catching each swing with grace. She then parried him and in a flash, she pulled her sword out and slashed through the Samurai, causing it to fall to the ground in defeat.

"We have a winner! Peko Pekoyama! She is advancing to the next round!" Magolor declared as Peko turned around as the Samurai got up. The two of them respectfully bowed to one another as they walked off.
"Well, she should consider herself lucky. One's fine but a whole squad of them are dangerous." Chiaki said.
"Glad she's safe!" Taranza said.
"Woo! Go Chiaki's friend!" Elfilin cheered.
"Now, randomizing our next contestants… heeere we go!"
Next up was Meta Knight, and his opponent was none other than Youmu.
"Ah, so it seems like I'm fighting you." Youmu said.
"Indeed. May the best swordsman win." Meta Knight got in a stance, where Youmu got in hers.
"Let the battle… COMMENCE!"
BGM: Meta Knight Battle (Kirby Super Star)
Both of them stood still, none of them daring to make the first move as their hand was on their swords. Both of them closed their eyes, and once they reopened them, they both lunged, slashing through each other in the blink of an eye.

Both were back to back, not moving… until a crack formed on Meta Knight's mask and shattered in half. "Mmmph!" He hid himself with his cape.
"Youmu Konpaku wins!"
BB-8 snarked over Meta Knight's mask.
"I don't think super glue would help him." Chiaki said.
"Or gorilla glue…" Taranza added.
"Oooor… whatever's stronger than gorilla glue. Um… what's stronger than a gorilla… a lion? Probably a lion!" Elfilin giggled.
Meta Knight immediately took off while Youmu put her sword away. "Sorry, Meta Knight." She walked off.
"Nooow, let's get ready for the third match of the day! Who shall we get! Leeeet's randomize!"
Upon the randomization, they would find that Kirby and Dedede were facing each other.
"Huh! What are the odds!" Magolor said.
"Like I said, I'm coming to get ya!" Dedede smirked.
"Poyo!"
"...Where'd they get the strands of hair?" Elfilin wondered.
BGM: Item Bounce (Kirby Air Ride)
"Let's get ready fooooor… the showdooooown!" Magolor called out as both got in their stances, hands at the scabbards as both gave each other a smirk, and then…
SPLAT!
Both of them instantly pied each other in the face!
"Oooooh! Pie in the face! …I'm sure we can do a do over, right?" Magolor asked as they heard laughter coming from Kirby and Dedede, both of them patting each other on the backs before Dedede swung his hammer down, but Kirby responded in kind, both of them clashing their hammers.
Both of them took a step back as they lunged again, Kirby and Dedede both bringing out party poppers and popping the other as streamers flew everywhere, then they both hammered each other again, before smacking each other with paper fans.
Kirby whistled, as his Robobot Armor came into the scene as he hopped in. Dedede instantly tossed his hammer behind him and cracked his knuckles as they both went into an all out slugfest between the two.
"Uuuuh… does anyone know what's going on anymore?" Magolor sweatdropped.
"Quality entertainment between these two." Chiaki giggled.
Both of them threw an uppercut, knocking each other flat on their butts as Kirby and Dedede both grabbed their hammers and swung into each other again, clashing once again… until Kirby pulled out another banana cream pie and threw it into his face.
"Ack!" Dedede yelped.

"Winner! Kirby!" Magolor declared while in the stands, Bandana Dee pulled out a marker and erased a zero on Kirby's side, writing a one.
Kirby - 101
Dedede - 100
"You dirty conniving puffball! That was a dirty trick!" Dedede glared before smiling. "I'm so proud of ya! Come here!" Dedede gave Kirby a grand ol' hug and walked off proud while Kirby rubbed his head before shrugging and walked off after him.
"Alright, randomization! Heeeere we go!"
Standing before Magolor was Roxas and his opponent was Wild Link.
"Alright, let's do this." Roxas said.
"Agreed." Link nodded, readying the Master Sword.
BGM: Master Kohga, Top Banana of the Yiga Clan (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
Roxas summoned his Oathkeeper, getting in a stance as the two lunged, clashing with each other as Link took a step back and used a Skyward Strike, but Roxas instantly used Reversal to get behind Link and slashed him up in the air and then slashed him down to the ground with Roxas landing on top of him.

"Winner! Roxas!"
"Sorry about that." Roxas said, helping Link up.
"No no, you're good." Link chuckled as they walked off together.
"Well, at least he didn't use both Keyblades…" Chiaki said.
"Alright! That concludes round one! Here are our semi finalists! Peko, Youmu, Kirby and Roxas! Now let's get these randomized! Let's get our first battle underway!"
Standing in front of each other… were Roxas and Youmu.
"I didn't even get a chance to rest." Roxas chuckled.
"I've seen your strengths in action in the Phazon War, as you have with mine. Now we'll see who comes out on top."
BGM: Eastern Ghostly Dream ~ Ancient Temple (Touhou 9: Phantasmagoria of Flower View)
"Same here." Roxas nodded as he pulled out his Oathkeeper and Oblivion as Youmu unsheathed both swords.
"...I just had to say it." Chiaki sweatdropped.
"There there." Taranza patted her on the shoulder.
"Oooooh! This is getting good already!" Elfilin exclaimed.
"I don't think this is gonna be a quick one, folks! I think this is gonna be a good fight!" Magolor said as both got in their stances.
Both lunged at each other, both of them clashing against their blades as they pushed each other back as they both jumped back as Roxas used Firaga, Youmu batted away the Firaga as she threw danmaku at him.
Roxas used Reflega and then lunged, slashing her but she disappeared in a blink of an eye as she was above him and slashed down, but he blocked with his Keyblades as Youmu backflipped away as Myon immediately transformed, slashing Roxas as he blocked the attack.
"Two at once? I like these odds." Roxas chuckled as they lunged, both slashing him as he blocked and countered right after, but Myon blocked while Youmu sweep kicked him and went to slash him, but he used Stop to stop Youmu's advance as he got back up and jumped back as the Stop spell wore off.
Youmu took a step back as her sword glowed with blue energy. Slash of Departure from Hesitation! She swung it down into Roxas as he blocked, but the force was enough to make him slide as Youmu lunged as Myon flanked him and slashed him from behind while Youmu slashed him from the front.
However, Roxas blocked on both sides as he kept Youmu busy while he turned his Oblivion behind him to block Myon. Roxas smirked right after as he used Graviga right then to pull both in and then Roxas jumped up and slashed Youmu down.
"Gah!" Youmu grunted as she was on the ground.

"Winner! Roxas!"
Myon went back into her ghostly form and nuzzled against Youmu. "I'm fine, Myon." She smiled as she got up.
"Let me guess, you're going to say something about "I only won because we're not in Gensokyo"." Roxas said.
"No. I let my guard down at the wrong moment." Youmu said. "That said, maybe we ought to have a rematch in Hakugyokurou when I'm at full strength, then we'll see who'll come out on top."
"I'll look forward to it." Roxas nodded, both of them shaking on it as they walked off together.
"Alriiiiight, let's meet our other two semi finalists!"
"Goodness, you're so adorable… I can see why Miss Nanami likes you."
"Poyo…" Kirby blushed before getting in a stance.
"Indeed. Let's have a good one." Peko said as she got in her stance as well.
BGM: Huge Pillar (Kirby Air Ride)
"Let's get ready foooor… a SHOWDOOOOWN!" Magolor yelled.
Kirby and Peko got into position, both of them not moving a muscle… and then instantly, Peko lunged at Kirby, only when he unsheathed his "sword", Peko suddenly slipped on a water puddle and fell on her butt. "Waaaah! Ooomph!" She grunted, as there was a "Caution: Wet Floor sign" behind her.
She also had a mop on her head too.

"Poyo!" Kirby smiled.
"...What does he store in that scabbard?" Elfilin wondered.
"I'm gonna go with… "yes"." Chiaki said.
"He stores the word "yes" in there?" Elfilin asked, causing BB-8 to boop in laughter while Chiaki and Taranza laughed. "I'll take that as a yes."
Peko groaned. "If young master was here, he'd never let me live this down…" She said as she turned around to glare at Kirby, but he gave her his nubby hand along with a piece of cake.
"Poyo!"
Peko blinked. "...It's… hard to stay mad at you." She said, taking the cake and eating it as she took the mop off of her head as she walked off, then Kirby turned to face Roxas.
"Hey Peko." Chiaki said as Peko sat down.
"Hey Nanami. …Nanami?!" Peko said in surprise as she turned to her in fear. "Um… keep this a secret, okay?"
"Relax, I won't tell him anything." Chiaki said.
"Phew…"
"It's him you have to worry about." She said as Peko turned to BB-8 who was looking at her, booping mischievously. Peko gulped a little, sweating nervously.
BB-8 then chuckled and booped, telling her everything was alright.
Peko sighed. "That's a relief…"
"Alriiiiiight! Now we're in the finals! Who will take the grand prize of a strawberry shortcake! Who will be victorious! And who will-... HEY! Who cut into the cake already?!" Magolor asked, as Kirby looked away, trying to whistle while Peko finished her cake. "...Ah well. It was irresistible anyway. Now let's get into the main event!"
"You ready, puffball?"
"Poyo!"
"Good. Let's do this!" Roxas smirked as he summoned both Keyblades.
BGM: The Lighthouse Light Burns (Kirby Air Ride)
"Let's get ready… FOR THE ULTIMATE SAMURAI SHOWDOOOOOOOWN!"
Both were at the ready, Kirby ready to unleash his sword as Roxas took a deep breath… and quickly lunged as Kirby unsheathed his weapon… aaaand Roxas found himself trapped in a net.
"Huh?!" Roxas wondered as he broke himself free, only the ground caved in and he fell into a trap. "Aaaaaah! Oomph! I'm okay!"

Kirby sheathed his weapon. "Poyo."
"Keeps you on your toes, that one." Taranza chuckled.
"Tell me about it." Chiaki giggled.
"And that concludes the Samurai tournament! Kirby, you get to have the grand prize of that delicious cake! It's a lifetime supply of cake, so feel free to-" Kirby inhaled the cake until it instantly disappeared in his mouth. "-...Inhale… all of it in one go… I probably should've had the grand prize be a karaoke machine."
"Poyo~!"
Later…
"So, did you enjoy it?" Chiaki asked.
"I did! I had a fun time!" Taranza nodded.
"That's good!" Chiaki smiled sweetly.
"Oooh, look at that! They got masks!" Elfilin said as he flew over as they walked over toward the mask shop out of curiosity.
"Hey, like what you see? I got plenty of masks to choose from! I even made some for Team JINXY and you, Chiaki!" Magolor smiled. "…Oh, and one for Sonia, Gundham and Hajime too. I'm in the middle of making Umber, BB-8, Esdeath, Shadow, Deadpool and Doctor Strange and Team Laugh… wait, was it Laugh? …No, it was Lakefront… nah, it was definitely Team Laugh."
Meanwhile, in ancient Hyrule…
"ACHOO!" Laura sneezed.
"Whoa, you okay?" Oran asked.
Back in the present…
Chiaki sweatdropped. "Keep that up and I might just mistake you for the Happy Mask Salesman…" She said as she looked at herself in mask form. "...Goodness, that's just unsettling."
"I dunno, I think I look rather cute as a mask!" Elfilin said.
"Poyo!" Kirby agreed.
"...Somethin' about this ain't right." Dedede said, looking at himself.
Chiaki looked at the other masks. "Wait… is that Drawcia? Huh! That's unexpected." She said. "Hey Taranza, you find something you like?"
"I… I…" Taranza sniffled.
"What's wrong?" Chiaki asked as she saw his mask. "A little creeped out by your mask? I understand…"
"It's the one next to it…"
"Hmm? Oh, the one that looks like you with the eyelash-" Chiaki gasped, putting her hands over her mouth. "Oh gosh…"
"You like it? It's Sectonia, your dear best friend!" Magolor smiled, when Taranza started sobbing uncontrollably, prompting Chiaki to instinctively pull him in close into a hug.
"MAGOLOR, HOW COULD YOU!" Taranza sobbed into her chest.
"...Oh dear…" Magolor rubbed his non-existent chin. "I might have gone a bit too far with this one…" He mused.
"YOUR DARN RIGHT YA WENT TOO FAR!" Dedede yelled, slamming his hammer into him.
"OOOOOOF!"
Chiaki continued to hug him, rubbing Taranza's back as he continued to cry into her chest. "Shhh, I'm here… it's okay, I'm here."
"I don't get it. What's wrong?" Elfilin wondered as Dedede whispered in his ear. "Oh." His eyes widened. "Oooooh…"
Magolor shook off the pain. "Alright! I know how to fix this. I'll be right back!" He took off flying. "HEY GORIATH, BONKERS! C'MERE A SEC!"
A few minutes later…
"Poyo Poyo." Kirby handed the sad Taranza a Carby Cake as Chiaki still held him close, gently caressing his head.
"Alriiiiight!" Magolor came flying by. "I made something better for you!" He said as a Goriath and Bonkers put a gold statue on the ground, which consisted of Taranza and Sectonia. "Ta-daaaaah! What do you think?"
Taranza turned his head, sniffling as he wiped his eyes. "It's… it's a lot better… a lot better than just her head."
"Okay! We'll just take this to Floralia."
"Do you want to stay a bit longer or do you want to head home?" Chiaki asked.
"I'm… ready to go home…" Taranza responded solemnly as Chiaki and the others nodded.
Back at Floralia…
"Gently now… gently…" Magolor said as the Goriath and Bonkers put the statue down. "Perfect! Enjoy the view!" He said as he flew off as the other two walked off.
"Thanks guys… I appreciate it." Taranza mumbled.
"Let us know if you need anything else." Dedede said as he walked out as did the others, but Chiaki stopped and looked behind her, seeing Taranza sighing.
"Chiaki, ya comin'?"
"Go on ahead without me, I'll catch up." She walked back in, where the others looked at each other.
BGM: Friends In My Heart (Kingdom Hearts II)
"You okay?"
"I honestly… really appreciate this gesture. But… it's never going to bring her back…" Taranza mumbled as he walked out.
"Oh…" Chiaki followed him until they were both at the edge of his home, sitting down at the ledge. "You miss her terribly, don't you?"
"Yes." Taranza nodded. "Every time I try to find a way to bring her back, I end up falling short. When I got possessed with the Jamba Heart… I heard her voice calling out to me. I thought I could bring her back thar way… but when we destroyed Void Termina, I no longer heard anything."
He looked down. "After Morpho sent Summer back, I asked him if he could, if any possible way, if he could bring Sectonia back. He said there was no possible way."
"C'mere…" Chiaki pulled him in close, having him sit on her lap and wrapped her arms around him.
"Heck, when I heard the universe reset brought some people back, I thought Sectonia was one of them. I waited… and I waited, but she didn't come. So I went looking for her… but I couldn't find her…"
Taranza sighed sadly. "Do you… think I should give up on my dreams to be reunited with my best friend once more?"
"No. One should never give up on their dreams. You'll find her, you just got to keep believing."
"Poyo!" Kirby said as he rejoined them, as did Dedede, Elfilin and BB-8.
"I'm sure Sectonia's out there somewhere. We just got to hope that she's okay and we'll bring her back home safe." Chiaki said softly.
"Yeah, she's probably hoping to find a way to get back here and reunite with ya." Dedede added.
"You just gotta keep believing! Don't stop!" Elfilin chimed in.
"Poyo!"
Taranza smiled. "Thanks guys… I'll keep dreaming on."
"That's the spirit!" Chiaki smiled, gently adding some tightness to her hug.
A few minutes later, Chiaki got up. "Alright, I'm gonna head home now." She said.
"Okay!" Taranza nodded.
"If you need me, come find me… I'll be there to cheer you up." She smiled sweetly as she walked off with the others.
"Okay! See you later!" Taranza waved as they hopped on the Warp Star and flew back down to Dreamland.

"Welp, I'm gonna head back to my castle."
"Poyo Poyo." Kirby wandered the other way.
"And… I'm gonna go see how Futaba's holding up. You two wanna come?"
"Sure." Elfilin nodded where BB-8 booped.
"Let's go!" Chiaki smiled and headed back.
Meanwhile…
"Where'd you get the bike?" Jade asked.
"Oh, made it myself earlier. Saved it in my technomancy so I can easily summon it."
"Cool!"
"Wow, cool ride!" Chiaki said as she approached them.
"Oh hey, Chiaki! Where'd you go?" Futaba asked.
Chiaki smiled. "Dreamland. I went to cheer Taranza up."
This Gaiden chapter was brainstormed by Yoshi! ...Well, the Samurai part. I decided to add more to it with Chiaki and Taranza.
