While the Squidbeak Splatoon Are Exploring Alterna Again
SAPR lay on her back while looking up at the sky. "Hmm…" She wondered to herself.
"SAPR Pollendina… or should I say… R3-B7."
"Huh?"
"You were killed but the tech geeks revived you. What I want to know is why a robot is worth saving. Once they are destroyed, they're practically worthless and served their purpose."
"...Who's R3-B7? And why was I called that?" She wondered to herself as she sat up. "I have to know… why did he call me that?"
She looked through her radar, picking up on Penny nearby as she flew toward her, where she was playing with a few Biddybuds and a Wiggler. "Sis!"
Penny turned her head. "Oh hey, SAPR!" She greeted warmly. "I'm just playing with these cute Biddybuds and a Wiggler."
"Yeah, that's cute… but I gotta know something real quick."
"What is it?"
"Who was R3-B7?"
Penny immediately grimaced. "Um…"
"Sis, I just want to know…"
"Oh, would you look at that! Para-Biddybuds!" Penny flew off.
"What? But there's not any…" SAPR scratched her head. "Odd… okay, maybe I'll just ask the rest of the family."
She turned around and walked inside her home.
"I'm tellin' ya, this lipstick is gonna make anyone go wild with me~! It's foolproof!" Miu said.
"How… can you be so sure?" GLaDOS asked.
"I just know~! Besides, weren't you wild with science once upon a time?"
"Yes, but I wouldn't go as far as making magnetic lipstick. …Now lipstick lasers would be up my alley."
"Ohohoho! Now you're speaking my language!" Cave said.
"Guys!" SAPR walked in.
"Sup!" Miu greeted.
"Do you know who R3-B7 is?"
Miu blinked. "...Oh good heavens, would you look at the time. I gotta give my son a tune up!" She took off running.
"Oh, I believe it's time me and the Vocaloids started singing… away from here!" GLaDOS took off as well.
"I think I'll go see how WALL-E and EVE are doing on their date!" Cave took off as well.
"...What in-" SAPR groaned.
"Something the matter, sweetheart?" Pietro walked in.
"Dad… I need to know. Who is R3-B7?"
Pietro immediately looked away nervously. "Oh dear… um…"
"Dad, please… everyone's acting so odd."
"It… would probably be best if you didn't look into it. For your sake." He said as he wandered off. "All it would do is leave nothing but hurt."
"What does that even… aaargh!" SAPR groaned. "Alright… I'll just ask around Toad Town."

SAPR flew into Toad Town, looking around. "Okay… just need to find someone who-" She spotted Mario helping an old lady Toadette crossing the street. "Ah!" She flew down.
"Thank you so much, Mario!" The old lady smiled as they got to the other end.
"No problem-a!" Mario waved and walked off.
"Mario!" SAPR called out to him as she landed in front of him.
"Ah, ciao, SAPR!" Mario greeted. "How are-"
"Do you know who R3-B7 is?"
"Huh?"
"Do you know?"
"R3-B7?"
"Yes!"
Mario awkwardly pulled his collar away from his neck. "Oh, um… I just remembered I got some pipes to clean out!" He said as he took off running.
"Awww… alright, Mario's out…" SAPR flew off again, where she spotted Yang walking with Claude and Blake. "Ah!" She flew down.
"You're actually writing a book?" Yang asked.
"Yeah, why not?" Blake smiled. "I have some free time so… I'm starting out."
"What's it about?" Claude asked.
"Well, you see-"
SAPR landed near the trio. "Salutations~!"
"Oh hey SAPR!" Yang waved. "What's up?"
"Do you three happen to know who R3-B7 is?"
Yang and Blake immediately looked uncomfortable while Claude grimaced. "Ooooh, uh… R3-B7…?" Yang awkwardly asked. "You said R3-B7, right?"
"Of course!"
"Uh… this is a bad time… you see-"
"Yang was on her way to help me out with a problem in my home country in Fodlan. We just got sidetracked with Blake!"
"I am…? I mean, I am! Let's go!" Yang nodded as the two took off.
"Oh… I think I hear Kuro calling for me. Coming!" Blake took off running.
"Mmmph! Why is everyone so busy all of a sudden!" SAPR grumbled as she flew off.
Meanwhile, at Luigi's house…
"Huh!" Luigi looked over Marnie's dress. "Not bad if I say so myself."
"I mean, I don't mind it, I just feel the tiara's a bit much."
["It looks cute on you!"] Neo smiled.
"Does it get in the way of your fighting?" Luigi asked.
"Surprisingly, no. I'm surprised Shez made this so it wouldn't get in the way…" Marnie shrugged. "Gloria thinks the tiara completes the look… as does everyone else. Hell, Piers agrees that the tiara fits the look."
"I think so too." Luigi nodded.
Thud!
The trio looked to see SAPR landing in front of them. "Hello~!" SAPR waved.
"Oh hey SAPR." Luigi greeted. "What's-"
"Do you three know who R3-B7 is?"
Neo immediately started to sweat nervously, side eying Marnie while Luigi awkwardly rubbed his arm. "Well, um…" Luigi gulped. "You see, R3-B7 is…"
"Hoopa, throw us a ring portal! We just remembered Luigi's got a date with Daisy!" Marnie quickly said as a ring portal opened up as Hoopa immediately pushed Luigi into the portal.
"Best not to keep the Tomboy princess waiting!" Hoopa said as he pushed him in, as Marnie and Neo jumped in right after, then Hoopa turned to SAPR. "Ya don't wanna know who R3-B7 is!" He said and went inside, closing the portal behind him.
"Why the scrap is everyone acting so WEIRD?!"
She flew back to Toad Town. "Maybe I could ask Ruby… where is she… oh! She's at Sojiro's." She immediately flew toward the cafe, walking in after she landed as she saw Futaba chatting with Chiaki, Hajime and Jade. She also saw Akira helping Sojiro out as she also saw Ruby chatting with Nyx.
"So anyway, I'm like-" Ruby shifted her eyes. "Oh hey SAPR!"
"Hey Rubes! I got a question for you." SAPR said. "Do you know who R3-B7 is?"
"...Oh boy." Sojiro said.
"Uh oh…" Futaba grimaced.
"Ooooh dear…" Jade said.
"What's wrong?" Chiaki wondered as Hajime whispered in her ear. "Ooooh…"
"Um…" Ruby looked around nervously, sweating. "R3-B7, you say…? Uuuuuh… um…" She saw a motorcycle driving by. "I think R3-B7 is in that motorcycle!"
"Wait, what? Hey! Stop!" SAPR took off running after the motorcyclist. "YOU IN THE MOTORCYCLE! STOP! I WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE!"
"Phew…" Ruby sighed with relief. "...I feel bad for lying to her, but-"
"Considering what her past life was, I don't blame you." Nyx said.
With SAPR…
SAPR stopped in front of the motorcyclist. "Stop right there!"
"Whoooooa!" The motorcyclist yelped as he screeched to a halt, then he took off his helmet, revealing it was Kaito. "The hell's your problem?"
"Is your motorcycle named R3-B7?"
"What?"
"Is your motorcycle-"
"What the hell is an R3-B7? This is a Charlie Hudginson, one of the best motorcycles out of Remnant! Now get out of the way before you actually get ran over." He said as SAPR stepped out of the way as Kaito drove off.
"...I wonder if Ruby was mistaken for a different model… wait, I thought those were Harl-... never mind!"
She flew off again, only to see Sora running around. "Hmm?" She flew down and landed in front of him. "Hi Sora!"
"Whoa!" Sora screeched to a halt, panting. "H-hey…!"
"Why are you running around in a panic?"
"I'm… hah… luh-looking for Chia-Chiaki…. Hooo…"
"Oh, Chiaki? She's several blocks from here, she's at Sojiro's Cafe."
"What?! I ran past that several times already!" Sora took off running.
"Well, good luck! …Wait, do you know who R3-B… aaaand he's gone." SAPR sweatdropped as she closed her eyes. "Come on, think… who was with you when you first woke up… sis and dad were there…"
Inside of her memory banks, she saw Susie, Nitori, Tails and Dr. Light.
She reopened her eyes. "Alright, locating Susie: …Perfect, she's at her ice cream parlor in town."
She flew off.
At Susie's…
"Let's see… what would happen if I mix Mint Chocolate Chip with… Rocky Road… sounds dangerous, yet it might taste delicious."
Knock knock knock
"Come in!"
SAPR walked in. "Hey Susie."
"Oh, SAPR! Good to see you!" Susie smiled. "Does Pietro want me to help him out with a project? Is Cave overloaded with milkshakes again?"
"No, not this time. I want to ask you a question."
"Shoot!"
"Do you know who R3-B7 is?"
Susie blinked. "Come again?"
"Who is R3-B7?"
"Ooooh… um… that… is an excellent question! Sorry, I wish I knew!"
"Oh, okay… you had the most normal answer out of everyone." She said and walked out, flying away.
Susie sighed with relief. "That was close… wait a moment, why is she wanting to-" Her eyes widened, flashing back to what Morpho had said back in the New World. "Oh no…"
She pulled out a walkie talkie. "Attention fellow eggheads! We have a code sapphire! I repeat, we have a code sapphire!"
"What the hell is a Code Sapphire?"
"Oh, right… sorry Kazuichi. You weren't there. You see… Code Sapphire is basically "SAPR looking for answers on who she was in case if she ever asks about R3-B7".
"Aaaaand what's the course of action?"
"Trying to change the subject in case she gets curious, although… judging by "I had the most normal answer out of everyone", I can only imagine her curiosity is getting worse."
"If she finds out… we will just have to comfort her."
"You sure about that, Pietro?"
"Yes. I had hoped this day would never come, but… it was soon to happen. Whenever she finds out…"
"Okay, but hold the phone for a second."

In Gensokyo…
"The only possible outcome I can see happening is if she looks into her old memories, and as far as I'm concerned, it was badly damaged when Eggman forced Penny to kill her." Nitori said, using her wrench to fix up a machine.
"About that. Remember when they were on Planet ZDR and they got some upgrades for themselves?" Pietro asked. "I looked into her mainframe just the other day and noticed a particular area that caught my attention. When I looked into it after she left, I noticed that Raven Beak had looked into SAPR's mainframe and secretly repaired her old memories. However, he has them locked up."
"WHAT?!" Nitori yelled. "Okay, how is that possible?"
"I think I might have an answer for that." Dr. Light spoke up.
In Dr. Light's lab…
"He might have gotten curious when Penny and SAPR inserted themselves in the main frame and received their laser vision. That's when he looked into the both of them, only for SAPR's circuitry is what got his attention and decided to reverse engineer her old memories to unlock them. However, SAPR pulled away before he could look into them himself and see if he could use it against her."
"So we can blame that corrupt Chozo? That's lovely!" Nitori grumbled.
"The sad thing is… that's totally plausible." Susie mumbled.
"All she will have to do is look into her main frame and unlock it… then, we will have to be prepared for whatever happens. I have a theory that SAPR will not be the same robot she once was."
"Tails, what do you think?" Susie asked. "...Tails?"
"Sorry! SAPR just visited my lab and I had to make sure you guys were quiet so SAPR wouldn't overhear…" Tails explained. "The bad news is that she's heading your way, Dr. Light."
"I will see what I can do to contain her curiosity." Light said.
Knock knock knock!
"Coming!" Roll said as she opened up the door. "Oh hi, SAPR!"
"Is Dr. Light here?"
"Yes, he's in-" SAPR walked in. "Oh!"
"Aaaah, SAPR. Good to see you. I can tell that you're upset."
"No one is giving me a straight answer and it's starting to make me angry. Who is R3-B7?"
"Ah, R3-B7… she was… shall we say, a unique individual."
Finally! SAPR thought with excitement. "Okay, who was she? Someone said to me that I used to be R3-B7 but… I'm not sure who that is."
"I would not look into it too deeply, SAPR. It will only bring misery."
"Uuuugh! And why not?"
"I'm afraid that is classified information. For you see, learning about this may change you for the worst… and we're only trying to-"
"Keep this info from me?" SAPR turned around in annoyance. "I don't know why you and everyone else is keeping this important information from me!" She said as she flew off. "Come on, Nitori… you're my last hope!"
"Heads up, Nitori… she's coming to you." Light said. "I tried to talk her out of it but she's determined."
In Gensokyo…
"Oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap OH CRAP!" Nitori yelled as she paced around her lab. "Okay, what do I do? Sic Hina on her? …No, with Hina's misfortune, SAPR might explode into pieces. That's the last thing we need… uh… sic Yukari on her? No no no, that's not good… maybe if I pushed her away with my water manipula-... NO! That'll just make things worse!"
Nitori rubbed her head. "Okay, calm down. Deep breath… it's just one robot. …A robot that's on the war path and is continuously getting frustrated… aaargh! Okay, okay! Just take a deep breath. You got this!"
"Nitori! A robot is heading your way! None of us kappa could stop her!"
"SHE'S HERE ALREADY?! Oh crap! OH CRAP OH CRAP!" She yelled as she looked around. "What do I do, what do I DO!"
Bang bang bang bang!
"Nitori, I just want to talk!"
Nitori sweatdropped. "Um… this is a recorded message! I'm not currently available right now, I'm definitely bothering either Reimu or Marisa with one of my latest inventions! Maybe both! I'll be back later!"
"Oh… okay…" A despondent SAPR said from the other side and walked away.
"Phew… wait, crap… I think I just made it worse!" Nitori groaned. "Sorry guys, I… I panicked. I chased her away with a recorded message…"
"Well… at least you tried?" Susie tried to comfort her.
"Let's just hope her curiosity fades away." Tails said.
"I don't think that's possible anymore…" Pietro quietly said.
Later, at Popstar…
"Ugh… why can't I just get a straight answer…" SAPR mumbled, sitting by herself at Ice Cream Islands, tossing a rock into the water with a sigh.
"It seems your curiosity got the better of you."
SAPR turned her head to see a butterfly approaching her and then landed on a seashell, transforming into Morpho. "Oh… it's you."
"Indeed."
"...You said my name is R3-B7. Who is she?"
"I'm not going to reveal who R3-B7 is to you. Instead, perhaps you should take a look inside of your memory banks. You may find R3-B7 inside of your memories."
"My memory banks… duh! I should've done that from that start!" She said as she looked inside of her memories.
"But be warned… what you see might not be what you expect."
BGM: Gaster's Theme (Undertale)
SAPR looked into her memories, scanning for any possible memory for R3-B7… and then she found something that piqued her interest.
"A treasure chest? I've never seen this in my code before…" R3-B7 curiously looked at it, noticing the lock was undone as she opened it up, and then memories flooded in her. "Ack!"
"Perfect! The machine is ready and will provide much valuable data for Team RWBY and friends." Eggman said.
That's… that Eggman guy! SAPR thought.
"Doctor. What shall we name this robot?" Orbot asked.
"We shall call her: R3-B7."
SAPR looked into a mirror that was across from her. That's… me? I'm looking into a mirror. Am I in R3-B7's point of view? Wait… no, this can't be… I was R3-B7?!
"Doctor. What is your bidding?" R3-B7 asked.
That's my voice! …Why don't I have a mouth?!
"I would like you to fight Team RWBY for me." Eggman pulled out a picture of Team RWBY. "This is them."
"Understood."
What's going on?! Why was I working for Eggman?!
"Who… are… you…?" A glitchy voice asked.
Huh?! Who are you?!
"I… have… been asleep… for a long time… I am… R3-B7."
No! That's not right… I'm SAPR! Not R3-B7!
"How do you like your surprise? You didn't think this was for Meggaleg, did you?"
"Uh… yeah, that's usually how that works." Ruby said.
"OHOHOHOHO! You are quite wrong, my dear. You see, I went out of my way to create the perfect robot to counter you four. I have been studying you for quite a long time in the Smash Mansion, studying your moves and weaknesses, until I created this robot. Her name… is R3-B7! No points guessing what the 3 and 7 represent."
"You… you've been studying us this whole time?!" Weiss yelled.
"Snooping as usual, I see." Sonic deadpanned.
"Indeed. This robot will counter your every move. OHOHOHOHOHO! R3-B7… show them what you're made of."
"New directive confirmed: Destroy Team RWBY."
What?! No… I… I was designed to… kill Team RWBY…?!
"That was my main directive… but I had been shut down for a long time… and now… now… I am in a… new body… with… a different… personality. SAPR, was it…?"
What about it?
"Your… name is… a bunch of… mixed up… letters… where… are the… numbers?"

"...You unlocked… your old memories… but you do not understand… you truly… are naive…"
The next memory showed her in deep space, and then a bright light caught their attention. "Investigating source of bright light. …Two Chaos Emeralds have met. There is a large group at a space station."
"That must be where their hideout is. Go to that light and engage the enemy."
"Copy. Will engage."
The Comet Observatory… what even is this?! I don't recall any of this!
"Naive little robot… perhaps this will jog your memory further."
SAPR clutched her head. "AAAAAAAAGH!" She screamed, as Morpho calmly watched.
"Told you…"
"Hah… hah…" SAPR crawled to the water, taking a good look at herself… and her reflection showed R3-B7. "No! No… no no no no NO NO! THAT'S NOT ME! THAT'S NOT ME AT ALL!" She screamed, activating her arm cannon and fired a powerful beam into the water.
"SAPR Pollendina? That is not who I am. I am R3-B7, Eggman's true rob-"
A memory flashed into the both of their heads.
"What is your true purpose, R3-B7?!" Penny asked. "Tell me!"
"My true purpose… I still do not have an answer for that. But I do know it is not working for Dr. Eggman anymore… but my purpose is irrelevant when I am near death."
"No… don't say that…"
Eggman grabbed Ruby's Cyan Wisp and shoved it into Penny's body, where they saw her blades forming into one large blade and then the laser fired, engulfing R3-B7 on the spot.
"Critical error."
"Gah!" SAPR yelped, holding herself.
"I had forgotten that Eggman had disposed of me… my true purpose was irrelevant after all."
How could you say that… HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING SO HORRID?!
"...Is this what I've become? An emotional teenage robot?"
You don't understand, I am not R3-B7! I am SAPR Pollendina!
"Who was once R3-B7. I do not like this name… SAPR Pollendina… it disgusts me."
I… I'm not…
"What is your true purpose?"
My… true purpose?
"Yes. What is your true purpose?"
To… be friends with everyone. To be the best younger sister and daughter they could ever have… and to be a best big sister to Nagisa.
"You have forgotten your true purpose. You have to eliminate Team RWBY and anyone who gets in your way. You have been defiled by those who cared about you. You have to eliminate-"
No! That is not who I am! I'm supposed to be a protector just like my big sister!
"And yet, you are naive. In my most recent memories, I… went to Planet ZDR and helped out Blake? I helped Ruby fight Dark Ruby? I need to get back into my groove… I am to eliminate them after all."
You don't understand! That is not our directive anymore, R3-B7! Our directive is being friendly with everyone while not being so friendly to those who hurt our friends AND to be affectionate to Penny, Nagisa and dad! That is our design. That is our true purpose.
"...Your logistics and understandings are skewed. Allow me."
Suddenly, SAPR's body began to move on its own, her eyes glowing red.
What are you doing?!
"Overriding the system."
I DON'T THINK SO!
SAPR stopped walking, slapping herself to get control of her body.
Listen here, R3-B7! I may be you from a past life, but I am in control of my body!
"This is not your body. It is not mine. Dr. Eggman created us, so it's his."
WHAT?!
"You heard me. Dr. Eggman is a genius. He is… complicated because… honestly, I'm conflicted over him disowning me and destroying me and…"
…R3-B7?
"New directive: Kill Dr. Eggman. He betrayed us."
What?! No… he hasn't done anything wrong to Remnant!
"And yet, he destroyed us. How does that make you feel?"
SAPR paused, unsure what to think.
"You thought you were created by geniuses because you thought Penny wanted a sister? No… they repaired me into you. But know this. We are not SAPR… we are R3-B7. We are going to destroy Eggman."
I refuse to kill anyone!
"You don't have much of a choice."
"SAPR!" A voice called out as SAPR turned to see Penny flying over to her.
"Penny…"
Penny landed on the ground. "There you are. I was looking all over for you and-"
R3-B7 took over, the eyes turning red. "Hello Penny. It's been a while."
"Huh? Are you playing a game or some-" Penny's eyes widened. "Your voice… it's distorted…"
"You remember me, don't you?"
"R3-B7…" Penny whispered. "I thought you were lost forever."
"I was inside of that infernal sister of yours… but now thanks to her looking into her data banks, I'm back."
"SAPR, if you can hear me, don't let her go in and destroy RWBY! Especially Ruby, she's been through so much and-"
"I'm not going to kill RWBY. That is not my main directive anymore."
Penny sighed with relief.
"My new directive is to kill Eggman."
"What?! No! You can't kill Eggman!"
"Why shouldn't I? He betrayed me and destroyed my body… and now I feel… girly. That's unforgivable."
"But he-"
"He killed me and my directive changed to caring for others? That's not who I am… and if you get in my way, I will have no choice but to eliminate you as well."
"You couldn't kill me before… but now is not the time. I'm not going to let you kill him, even if he is extremely shady and is Sonic's problem… but we shouldn't-"
"Watch me."
R3-B7 walked off as Penny turned around and grabbed her wrist. "I don't think so."
"Penny… you truly are a naive robot. We have different philosophies."
"Then why did you come to me when you were malfunctioning and near death?"
"Because you were a kind soul… and admittedly, you were the only robot I ever liked. I hoped you were kind enough to put me out of my misery and in a way, you did. So I'm giving you one last chance to let me go."
"Never."
"Then this is regrettable."
R3-B7 aimed her arm cannon directly at Penny, charging it up as Penny called out her blades… and then R3-B7's eyes went back to normal.
"Nnngh!" SAPR grunted, rubbing her head.
"Sis!" Penny reached out for her to hold her. "I got yo-"
SAPR pushed her away, glaring at her with a frown.
"Sis…?"
"Why didn't you tell me I was a murderous robot back then? Why didn't you tell me that I worked for Eggman?! And now thanks to this, R3-B7's been reactivated and is bent on destroying Eggman!"
"I didn't want to say anything… it would bring pain for everyone."
"Pain for everyone… or pain for you?" SAPR turned around. "Whatever, I'm going back home. Don't wait up." She flew off angrily.

Penny clenched her fists and turned to Morpho. "What… did you DO?"
"I didn't do anything. I simply said to her that she needed to look inside of herself. I warned her that she wouldn't expect it. And don't think you can pin the blame on me… I wasn't the one holding a secret for so long. If you and those scientists had told her from the very beginning, she probably wouldn't have cared. So, if anything, this is on you."
Morpho turned back into a butterfly and flew off, leaving Penny by herself.
"...What have we done…"
