A train entered the station as Umber walked out and stretched. "Aaaah, that's more like it…" He said as Xena walked out as well.
"Phew, thought we'd never get out of that." Xena said.
"Well, now we did. Though I wonder why we couldn't just use Hammerhead Bridge."
"I can answer that for ya." A male Inkling approached them. "Apparently, there's a menace on Hammerhead that forced closure on the bridge. No one knows where he came from, but some squids are working together to put a stop to him."
"Wonder who the menace is?" Umber wondered.
"Wait… a menace on the bridge?" Xena spoke as the duo looked at each other.

Meanwhile, on Hammerhead Bridge…
BGM: Battle on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy XIV)
"What the splat is the DEAL with this guy?!" A female Octoling wondered.
"Gah!" A blue haired male Inkling slammed into a wall. "I dunno… but this guy's a friggin' nuisance!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Gilgamesh laughed, his weapons of choice being nothing but Dynamo Rollers. "Is this all you can do! I love a good challenge to you squid kids! Come and face me on the bridge!"
"Target in sight." A green haired male Octoling aimed with his E-Liter, only for Gilgamesh to jump toward him. "...Ah splat." He groaned as he quickly ran away, only for a Dynamo Roller to smack him in the chest and sent him flying.
Carmen, meanwhile, sat on top of a scaffolding and sighed in amusement. "Couldn't help but be a raid boss here, huh?"

"Gilgamesh." All three said in unison.
"You know him? …Well, if you run into him, tell him to knock it off. He's slowing down traffic." The Inkling walked off.
"Soooo… this is a world filled with anthropomorphic squid people." A voice said as they saw Strange walking toward them. "I wondered where those two Inklings came from."
"Yeah, they're from here all right." Umber said as he rubbed his chin in thought. "Hmm… you think I should-"
"Go for it, babe."
Umber chuckled, pulling out his other two Heartbinders and called up the Ninja Turtles and Jack.
"Yo, what's up. Need something?" Michelangelo asked.
"Oh, I was thinking you guys could all have some fun here, ya know? I mean, I'm here just to compete in a tournament for a new Heartbinder, so hey, if you want to-"
"I'm going to go check things out. Paintball's not my style." Strange walked off.
"I wonder if they have any Halloween decorations here." Jack said as he wandered off.
"Hey guys? What the heck is a Salmon Run?" Raphael asked, noticing the building.
"If I had to guess… probably something to do with delivering salmon to people." Leonardo said.
"Well, let's see what that's all about." Donatello said as the four walked off, leaving Umber and Xena by themselves.
"...Well, that worked out better in my head." Umber sweatdropped.
"Don't worry, we can still do it~!" Xena smiled.
Umber nodded. "Yeah."
"By the way, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this, but… does it look like everyone's cleaning up?"
"Come to think of it…" Xena looked around. "I can imagine something crazy happened here."
"Yeeeeah… it looks like it's seen better days." Umber rubbed his head. "Eh, maybe it was a wild festival."
"With broken windows?" Xena asked.
"I did say "wild"."
"Good point." Xena giggled. "Alright, let's go to that tournament."
They both went toward the tower, only to see a few Inklings coming out grumbling. "You looking to do Turf War? Apparently the servers are busted right now… again." An Inkling mumbled.
"That's like the fortieth time… TODAY!"
"Yeah, let's just go… I'll raise up that catalog eventually."
They both looked at each other. "Sooooo… we wait?" Umber asked.
"Yeah… wonder if they have a tattoo parlor here."
"Oh, you're thinking of getting that kind of ink on ya? I'm surprised."
"What, that we're thinking about it?"
"No, I'm surprised it took you this long to even think about getting one or a few." He chuckled. "What'ya thinking about?"
"Well, we were gonna go get one… until, ya know, we got tiny." Xena chuckled. "Buuuut we thought it over and we thought "Yeah, that'll work."
"It's a surprise though~!"
"Come on, let's go find one." Xena walked off.
Umber laughed. "Oh, you two…" He chuckled as he walked off, only to turn his head to see Deep Cut doing a broadcast. "...Eh. Actors." He said as he walked off.
"Oh hey, look at that!" Xena found a tattoo parlor and walked in.
"Yo, welcome to Swordfish Ink! What can I do for ya?" A heavily tattooed Inkling asked.
"You think you can do matching tattoo sleeves?"
"Of course. We're the fastest artists in the world."
Yagami came out of Xena. "Good. This will be a piece of cake then."
Xena immediately brought out her scroll and showed him. "We're thinking of this."
"Ooooh… can't decide or-" Yagami whispered in his ear. "Aaaaah, I see. I love a challenge. Alright, let's get you gals inked up."
"How fast do you usually do things?" Xena asked.
"Normally, it takes an average person… oh… an hour or so to do a tat? Considering we live on the fast lane, this won't take longer than ten minutes. I'm fast, but i'm squiddin' accurate."
The twins looked at each other. "Let's do it." Xena nodded, high fiving Yagami as they walked off while Umber walked in, grabbing a magazine and sitting on a lounge chair with a hum.
Meanwhile, with Deep Cut…
"From Splatsville, that's a wrap."
"Catch ya later!" Shiver and Frye did their poses with Big Man.
"Aaaand cut! That's good!" A cameraman said as the trio nodded and walked into a room… and then Shiver took off her "hair" and makeup, revealing to be an ordinary orange female Octoling while Frye took off hers, revealing a blue female Inkling underneath.
"Goodness gracious… how long are they going to be gone?" The Octoling asked.
"Kelp if I know… I don't mind being Frye, but heavens to squidsy, this outfit is giving me a rash!"
"Hey, can you guys help me with my zipper?"
The girls unzipped the Big Man costume, as a green male Inkling stepped out. "Hoo! Thank you… it gets way too hot in that Big Man costume…"
"Wherever they went… they better have a good excuse this time." The Octoling mumbled.
"You think they could be bandits in an unknown area?" The male Inkling asked.
The trio rubbed their chins in thought before waving it off. "Naaaaaah."
"Though I do wonder if any of them know about that Cryptid Splatfest we just did." The female Inkling said. "Which, by the way, I could have SWORN we were winning that, thank you very much."
"We won fair and square."
"No, that's because you're a Shiver simp."
"This coming from the Frye simp!"
"...There's no love for the Big Man simps…" The male Inkling groaned with anime tears running down his cheeks.
"Shiver humper!"
"Frye queen!"
Back with the twins…
"Aaaand done!" The ink artist said as the girls looked at their tattoo sleeves.
On Xena, her left arm showed off a beach with Pyukumuku, Sandygast and Pellipper on her upper left arm and shoulder, while also showing off a beautiful sunset overlooking the ocean. Her right arm showed off an Ultra Wormhole at the shoulder as the rest of her arm was inked blue with Kartana, Nihilego, Buzzwole and half of Lunala.
On Yagami, her left arm showed the other half of Lunala, Xurkitree and Guzzlord on her hand with the rest of her arm blue as her shoulder also had the Ultra Wormhole. Her right arm showed off the rest of the beach with a Wailord in the water, Wingull flying over it, and a Toxapex on the sand while showing a pier.
Both girls connected their arms with the Alola setting before Yagami teleported to the other side of Xena to complete the Ultra Wormhole setting.
"Booyah!" Yagami smiled.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Xena high fived her. "And really fast too."
"Told ya!" The artist chuckled as Umber looked at them.
"Daaaaamn. That's creatively clever." Umber mused. "I love it!"
Xena smiled. "Only hurt a little bit, but it got the job done!" She flashed the peace sign with a grin as they walked out after paying for it, Yagami going back inside of Xena, the latter holding hands with Umber.
"So… you wanna try it again?" Umber asked.
"Sure." Xena nodded as they walked toward the lobby, going through the doors.
"Okay, so let's see… where do we sign up for the tournament…"
"I can help with that!" A voice said as they turned to see a goldfish waving them over.
That's the… blobbiest looking goldfish I've ever seen. If that even IS a goldfish. Xena thought.
"You sure that's a goldfish?"
They walked up to the goldfish. "You wouldn't happen to be-"
"I'm Marigold, nice to meet you. I couldn't help but overhear you wanted to partake in the tournament."
"Yeah." Umber nodded.
"Here's a flyer if you're interested." She said, handing them it.
"Let's see here…" Xena looked it over. "Oh yeah, that's a Heartbinder for the grand prize."
"Tower Control, Splat Zones, Rainmaker and Clam Blitz… win three out of four rounds and win the grand prize. Three out of four?"
"No one really likes Clam Blitz. Squid kids these days try to throw the match because they hate it… unfortunately, both teams have the same thought."
Xena sweatdropped. "Uuuuh… noted. Is it all randomized?"
"Yes."
Umber looked at Xena. You know, we could try to go all out on all four. He said telepathically to her.
So you're saying go wild?
Well… the flyer does say "Anything goes".
Music to our ears~ Let's get that Heartbinder, hon!

Umber looked at Marigold. "We'll do it."
"Excellent!" She smiled as they signed their names and walked off. "Good luck!"

Meanwhile, with Strange…
"Hey you!"
"Hmm?" Strange turned his head to see Marigold. That's the ugliest goldfish I've seen… wait, is that even a goldfish?
"You want to partake in the hottest new game, Tableturf Battle?"
"Table what?"
"Tableturf!"
"Mmm, sure, I'll bite… how do you play?" Strange asked as he sat down.
With Jack…
"Hotlantis… interesting!" Jack walked in as he saw Harmony looking through her phone.
"Hey. Welcome to Hotlantis." She said boredly as she looked up and saw Jack. She blinked a few times and tilted her head.
"Hello there!"
"I'm not sure if you're a goth or you stan for Splatoween."
"No no no, I'm a skeleton and-... wait, what's Splatoween?"
"It's a holiday where we all dress up in "scary" costumes and proceed to splat each other in Turf Wars."
Gears started turning in Jack's head. "Really! Where can I find this Splatoween stuff?"
"It's in the back. You can go in if you want to… I don't care."
Jack eagerly looked inside the back, seeing all kinds of Splatoween decorations as his eyes sparkled in delight.
"Ruby's birthday is about to get a lot more fresh!" He grinned as he walked in happily.

Meanwhile, out at Marooner's Bay…
"Okay, that's a lot of eggs coming through!" An Inkling said.
"Splat yeah! We got this in the bag!" A female Inkling fist pumped as they saw a Fly Fish coming their way.
"...Aw kelp." Another male Inkling groaned as the missiles came flying down… only they were deflected and cut in half by Leonardo, and then Raphael came in and stabbed through the glass, impaling the surprised Salmonid as it came crashing down.
"What the… who are these guys?!" An Octoling asked.
"Now I get it, they're trying to invade the Splatlands." Raphael said.
"You guys need some help?" Michelangelo asked.
"Uuuuuh… suuuure! The more the merrier!" The first male Inkling said.
"Great, now let's get going because things are about to get hairier!" Donatello said as they got ready for the next wave that was about to hit.
Back with Lunartics…
The twins and Umber found themselves showing up at Hagglefish Market. Umber had a Splatana in his hands while Xena held the Tri-Stringer and Yagami held a Sloshing Machine.
"Blegh… smells like rotten sardines." Yagami complained.
"Alright, there's the Rainmaker." Umber got one knee. "Sure, we might be three to four… but what they don't know is that they're facing not-so-ordinary humans."
Xena smiled. "Alright… let's GO!" She yelled as they launched to the ground.
BGM: Liquid Sunshine (Splatoon 3)
All three hopped off of the ledge and headed straight for the rainmaker as Xena aimed her Tri-Stringer at the shield protecting the Rainmaker and fired arrows as Yagami threw ink into the shield as well, popping the shield and actually splatting an unfortunate Octoling that thought he was further away from the explosion.
Umber picked it up. "Ooof, this thing's a bit heavy!" He said as he went forward, shooting at the Inkling team in front of him while Xena climbed up a platform and started sniping left and right while Yagami continued to throw her Sloshing Machine, where ink splatted a male Inkling when he dodged the arrows from Xena.
"Yah!" Umber put it into the checkpoint, where they saw the other tower opening up for them. At that moment, a female Inkling came sliding in with a Reefslider, and then skidded to a halt, where the Reefslider exploded and sent Umber and Yagami flying back.
"I'll take this, thank you very much!" She said, exploding the shield and was about to take it… right as Xena teleported and point blank shot her in the face. "AUGH!" She yelped as she was splatted, then she grabbed the Rainmaker.
"Thank you~!" Xena smiled. "Ooof… this is heavy." She said as she telekinetically picked it up, "There we go." She aimed at the tower and telekinetically threw it as the opposing team looked on in awe.
"How is she doing that?!" The Reefsliding Inkling, who just got back, wondered.
"Oh, I don't think so." A Z and F Splatterscoped Inkling aimed his weapon at her, only for Umber to get in the way and deflected it with his Splatana, not to mention he added a mirror where he unwittingly splatted himself.
"Huh?!" The Octoling looked on in surprise as Xena put the Rainmaker in the tower. The whistle immediately blew right after.

"And that's how you do it~!" Xena grinned, high fiving her sister and boyfriend.
"Okay, time out! They cheated!" The Octoling said.
"Anything goes in this tournament." Umber casually said, causing the Octoling to sweatdrop.
"Mrow… he has a point." Judd said as Lil' Judd nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, at Brinewater Springs…
"Haaaaa…" Pit sighed in relief as he was relaxing in a hot spring. "I should've brought Ruby with me. She'd love it."
"I don't think relaxing next to a Turf War is such a good idea…" Palutena said.
"Aww, it won't do anything. I should call her up though." Pit said, pulling out his phone.
Nearby, an E-Liter shot a Splat Bomb off an Octoling Girl's hand as it flew off and landed right on Pit's head. "Huh?"
BOOM!
"YAGH!" He yelped.
"You were saying?" Palutena giggled.
"...I'll… take a rain check on this hot spring…" He grumbled, light blue paint all over his face.
Back with Lunartics…
"...One question. If they can't swim, then why even bother making a battle stage on a resort?" Xena asked, as they were at Mahi Mahi Resort.
"Good question. Who knows!" Umber shrugged.
"The play of the game is Splat Zones, right?" Yagami asked as both nodded. "Alright, let's see how this goes then."
BGM: Clickbait (Splatoon 3)
The three of them launched off as they headed straight for the Splat Zone in question, where Yagami spread paint all over the zone as the timer started for them. She immediately started defending the zone as the opposing team came in with four Golden Aerosprays.
Yagami smirked, levitating up in the air as a paint ball of energy conjured in her hands. WIth a smirk, she threw it down when it was fully charged. "BOOYAH!" She yelled, as the Golden Aerospray quad swam away… and then to her surprise, all four of them charged up Booyah Bombs simultaneously.
"FOUR AT ONCE?!"
"This has to be some kind of meta…" Xena said.
"Well, I say… fuck the meta!" Umber punched the ground as a large mirror dome surrounded Yagami and the Splat Zone as the Booyah Bombs bounced off and splashed into the pool of water.
"What the splat?!" An Octoling demanded.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Another Octoling complained as Yagami pulled her eye socket down and stuck her tongue out, and flipping them off in the meantime.
The four of them tried to attack the barrier, completely unaware of Xena and Umber charging in and splatting all of them, and by the time the team came back…

"Get splatted on, Ink-dorks!" Yagami cheered, high fiving Umber and Xena.
"...What just happened?" A third Octoling asked.
Back with Dr. Strange…
"So you mean to tell me that there's a competitive card game that pretty much is all the talk of this world and YOU got sucked into it?"
"Yeah, there's a learning curve, but I'm actually having a good time." Strange said. "Have a seat, America. I'm sure you'll love it just as much as I am, hence why I decided to invite you."
America sat down. "Alright, deal me in. I want to see this for myself."
One round later…
"And that… is the name of the game." Strange said. "Simple, fast paced, but really enjoyable."
"I almost had you… you splatted over my paint!" America growled. "Best two out of three! I'm going to make sure I'm going to kick your butt."
"Alright, hot shot. Let's go another round."
"And before you ask… yes, this is a lot more fun than Pokemon cards."
An Inkling, wearing a Pikachu shirt and hat, stopped walking and turned to her. "Excuse you?"
Back with Lunartics…
"Clam Blitz in Hagglefish? …Sure, why not." Umber said.
"Well, had to get the worst of the bunch sooner or later." Xena said.
"...We just have to collect clams and throw them in that basketball hoop? No wonder no one likes it. Too tedious!" Yagami said.
BGM: Sandy Sides Up (Splatoon 3)
The three of them launched off and collected the clams along the way toward their goal, but once they collected eight, it immediately turned into a Power Clam. "Uuuh… that turned into a football, right?" Umber asked.
"This is bizarre." Xena said as they went toward the goal as she threw the football into the basket, where it opened up.
The gatekeeper yelped in surprise and quickly summoned his Crab Tank. "Hehehehe." He grinned as he started shooting… until Xena telekinetically pushed the Crab Tank into the water. "Ack! Blub blub blub!"
"Settle down." Xena said as they threw in more clams, where she telekinetically threw in a lot more clams inside the basket.
Yagami, meanwhile, telekinetically stopped the football from going inside of her basket and forcibly opened it up to dump the clams, then she gathered them up and made a football of her own. "Go long!" She threw it at the goal.
"What the splat?! I worked so hard on that one!" A green female Inkling yelled at her.
"Eh, go touch some ink." Yagami threw her Sloshing Machine into her to splat her.
The football hit the goal and gave them double amount of points as Xena and Umber threw in a few clams as well.

Meanwhile, in the heart of Splatsville…
Rosalina walked around with Tai. "I wonder if we could get something for Ruby… she'd probably love it."
"What do you have in mind?" Tai wondered.
"Honestly, I'm not particularly sure. Perhaps something would cheer our daughter up."
She spotted a store. "Oh, maybe there's something in here." She said as she walked in with Tai right behind her.
Back with Lunartics…
"Tower dead ahead!" Yagami pointed toward the tower in the middle of Mahi Mahi.
"Alright, let's go. You girls ready to finish strong?"
"Ready as ever!" Xena nodded.
BGM: Candy Coated Rocks (Splatoon 3)
The three of them launched as Xena proceeded to teleport on top of the tower with Umber, then the tower activated as it started to move.
"It's a bit slow for my liking." Yagami said. "Here, I'll give you two a boost!" She aimed her hand at it and launched a telekinetic push that caused the tower to move rapidly past the checkpoints.
"Whoa!" A female Inkling dove out of the way as two Octolings tried to shoot at the two to stop the tower, only to get ran over while a male Inkling tried to chase after the tower.
"No no no no no no!"

Yagami smiled. "Booyah."
"Booyah!" Xena high fived Umber, both of them sharing a celebratory kiss as Yagami teleported in and switched places with Xena.
"Blegh… love…" The male Inkling grumbled.
The three of them were taken back to the Lobby as the last team walked out while giving them the stink eye.
"Congratulations! You won the tournament! Here's your prize." Marigold said, handing them the Heartbinder. "Here's your… whatever this thing is!"
"Thanks!" Umber smiled as the three walked out with grins on their faces. "Come on, let's go find Strange and the others, then we'll see who's in here… and then… maybe head back to Bowser's Castle."
"Why go there now? He can wait~" Xena winked.
"Yeah, you're right. He can wait!" Umber chuckled as they walked off.
Back with Strange…
"So, what's the score?" Michelangelo asked.
"Fifteen to sixteen!" America said proudly. "...Also, holy shit, the Ninja Turtles!"
"I might have let her win a few times." Strange chuckled.
"Ah, there you are!" Jack approached them with a large bag.
…Oh my God, that's Jack Skellington! America thought, completely awestruck.
"I just got done shopping for the best Halloween ever." He spotted America. "Oh, and who's this?"
"America Chavez."
"H-Hello." America greeted.
"Nice to meet you, America! Put 'er there!" Jack had his hand out as she eagerly shook his hand.
"Oh my God, I'm not dreaming." She whispered.
"Hey!" Umber walked over to them. "Got my Heartbinder. The Tournament was a cinch."
"Yup!" Xena smiled.
"So, who'd you get?" Strange asked.
"Part of me wants to see it right now, but another part of me wants to be surprised when I show it to Bowser. Who knows… I'm a bit torn."
"So, who's the girl?" Yagami asked.
"America Chavez. America, this is Umber Lightwave, Xena and Yagami Ayami."
"Hey."
"Yo!" The twins greeted.
"Hey there." America greeted back.
"...Wait, did you two get tattoo sleeves?" Strange asked.
"We sure did!" Xena nodded.
"I'm surprised you didn't do that earlier."
"So, you brought her here for some Tableturf War. Did you invite anyone else?" Umber asked.
"Well, I invited Thor, but he didn't seem interested in the card game. As for his daughter… ah, where'd she go?"
America turned her head, spotting Love curiously looking at Michelangelo and Raphael. "Found her."
"Ah, there you are." Strange said as Raphael looked down at her. He smirked and gently patted her on the head, causing her to smile.
"Who's Thor?" Umber asked.
"Big guy, got a beard, wields Mjolnir… he's incredibly good looking too." America said.
"Not to Quill." Strange mumbled.
"Any special powers?" Xena asked.
"He's the God of Thunder!" America added.
"Wields a hammer and has electric pow-" Xena's eyes widened. "Dear Oum, there's two of them now…"
Meanwhile, out at Manta Maria…
"Yaaaah!" A male Inkling was tossed to a wall while another male Inkling was thrown overboard.
"I love it! The thrill of this Turf War is incredible!" Thor exclaimed as he threw Mjolnir at an Octoling.
She immediately ducked as she let out a sigh of relief, only for Mjolnir to come back and smacked her upside the head. "Gah!"
Thor caught his hammer and turned around, throwing it at an Inkling as he went into his squid form… when suddenly, a hand caught Mjolnir, stopping it in its tracks.

"Cool hammer! I have a friend who has something just like this!"
"What the…?" Thor wondered as he saw Nora holding the head of Mjolnir in her hand, with her Tinkaton next to her.
Nora grinned, tossing Mjolnir to him.
"How were you able to hold Mjolnir?"
"Eh, I guess I got lucky." Nora shrugged. "By the way, what's your name?"
"Thor Odinson!"
"Cool! Nora Valkyrie, and this is my Pokemon, Magnhild!"
"Tinka!"
"Also, I couldn't help but be attracted to your lightning powers! I have lightning myself!" Lightning crackled within her hand.
"Lightning? Are you a Goddess of lightning?"
"I'm no God, I'm just a regular girl with lightning powers. Are you a god?"
"Indeed I am, I am the God of Thunder!"
Nora's eyes sparkled. "Cooool! How about we have a spar to see who's the strongest of the two!"
"Normally, I would decline… but since you have lightning powers…"
Lightning crackled within his body, his eyes glowing as he smirked.
"Who am I to say no to a fight!"
Nora's eyes glowed as well. "Bring it, big guy!"
The two of them lunged, pulling their hammers back as they swung into them, both Mjolnir and Magnhild clashing into each other and unleashing a powerful electrical storm.

Back with the others…
Umber's Rotom Phone went off as he pulled it up to receive a text message. "Hmm?" He pulled it out.
"Not sure if you've heard, but Chiaki's in the ER." - Nyx
A picture was shown off right after to see Chiaki in the ER, burn marks all over her body as Mikan, Maria and Tomoe were doing everything they could to save her.
Umber's eyes widened in horror. "Oh my Arceus…" He had his hand over his mouth in horror.
"What's up?" Xena asked as the twins looked at the text message, both of them gasping.
"Strange, we need to go to the Toad Town Hospital NOW!" Umber said.
"What for?" Strange asked.
"Chiaki's in the ER and I'm assuming she's in critical condition!"
Strange's eyes widened. "You three go. We'll catch up. I need to go get Thor… because I have a feeling Chiaki is also a fan of him."
With a nod, the twins teleported themselves and Umber to the Toad Town Hospital while Strange opened up a portal.
"What about me? Do you want me to go with you?" America asked.
"Kid… the more the merrier." He said, going inside as he saw Thor and Nora going at it, none if them showing no signs of stopping or wear and tear. In fact, the two of them looked like they were having fun.

"Yes. She's also a natural with Chaos Magic."
Thor nodded. "Take me to her."
