Moments After Rosalina Intervened
Rosalina folded her arms. "Seriously, what's going on here?"
"Samus decided to come after me after I called her out over what she did in that coup." Ruby explained.
"That's because you called me stupid!"
"Well, I'm sorry, but someone had to say it!"
Rosalina softly sighed. "Oh brother…" She mumbled to herself. "Honey, why don't you run along now? I'll talk to Samus."
"Alright." Ruby power walked away. Holy CRAP, I'm glad mom came when she did!
Rosalina turned to Samus. "Okay, what's going on with you? Ever since I came back from my honeymoon, you've been nothing but snippy. Actually, you've been snippy before that."
"...It's complicated."
"Do you even realize that Ruby's mental state had been declining? She's seriously been depressed ever since Dark Ruby perished. There was that whole thing with the Devil trying to take her soul, then Hisui threw her for a loop… not to mention Summer leaving and then a multiversal Hades kidnapped her to take care of a universe's problem-"
"She's… she's been what?" Samus's eyes widened.
"Yes. Her friends have been trying to get her to smile again and she's slowly climbing out of her depression. And now I'm hearing that you're going after my daughter because she called you out? I'd say she was brave enough to actually say what we were all thinking when we were taking down the corrupt Galactic Federation. Though, granted, she did go a bit overboard on calling you stupid…"
Samus said nothing, instead her face softened as she looked down with sadness. As a result, Rosalina's expression changed with concern.
"Samus, I'm worried about you. Is there anything that's bugging you?"
"Well, there's-"
"Aside from Ridley being part of Hades's army?"
Samus slumped. "You wouldn't understand, Rosie…"
"Try me."
BGM: Luma (Super Mario Galaxy)
Samus sighed in defeat. "Alright, you want to know? The truth is… I'm bored out of my skull. Yes, I know I could just drain anything so I could get my legs working again, but it's like… the galaxy is at peace and for once, I can let down my hair and enjoy myself. I didn't think of it much, I'll get my legs working when I feel like it. Hell, I even made peace with myself after chatting with my parents, Old Bird, Gray Voice and Quiet Robe… and then… Dark Ruby happened. When Palutena got me up and running, we went off to destroy Dark Ruby and her posse. I… I realized how much I missed the action. I craved it so much, it started to annoy me. I tried everything to get my mind off things. Striking up conversations with my friends, started to go on dates with Chell-"
"Took you long enough…"
"Not THOSE kinds of dates!"
Rosalina playfully smirked. "You sure it's more than just platonic~?"
Samus groaned. "Ugh, I swear, you're hanging around Palutena too long…" She mumbled, hearing a giggle from Rosalina. "Anyway, I also played games with Chiaki, all of that stuff. But I… I can't get away from this itch that I crave and it's pissing me off. I thought that if Chell and I would go see Chiaki, maybe it'll get my mind off things. However, we ran into Ruby and we started chatting and-"
"The Hades that's watching the multiverse gave you something to be mad at?"
"YES! I watched that and it made me even more annoyed. Not the fact that Ruby had a Keyblade, but the fact that… I was so stupid for rushing into things the whole damn time we did that coup! Granted, we always rush into things, but I'm the one who had extreme tunnel vision over this. This was personal for me and I wanted to see it through. If I had just slowed down and noticed Bradley about to go for my gut, I would've backed off… and seeing what happened there got me pissed because I still could have had my legs this whole time."
"...So you had to take your frustrations out on Ruby?"
"I'm not proud of it. Had I known Ruby was depressed and was working on getting herself to be happy again, I would have… I dunno, lightened my frustrations out on her? Ugh, and to make matters worse, Ridley is now part of Hades' minions and he's probably about to come back stronger than ever. Even I know you can't keep him down for long."
"Soooo-"
"Yes, learning about Ridley being Hades' minion didn't help my situation at all." She sat down on the ground in defeat. "I just… want to be back in my prime. Unfortunately, I absorb one Beowolf and the whole Grimm species suddenly act like they don't exist anymore because I can't find a single one of them to save my life. It's like they know I'm coming for them and hightail it out of there. Don't get me started on the Heartless, it's like they try to avoid me too! I swear they're saying "Avoid the she-devil at all costs" or something."
She growled in frustration where a frustrated tear ran down her cheek. "CAN'T I JUST GET MY LEGS BACK TO FUCKING NORMAL?!" She yelled as she punched the ground in frustration. "I don't know if I can… and now thanks to me, Ruby's absolutely terrified of me and will avoid me whenever possible…" She closed her eyes, her voice nearly breaking. "Am I ever… going to be myself again?"
Rosalina knelt down, giving Samus a gentle hug. "Perhaps it's time for you to make a comeback."
"Ha… yeah… and where would I find a way to do that?"
"I can think of a few options."

A few minutes later…
"Okay, what's going on here?" Blake asked as SPBRR, Adam, Anthony, the Strike Team, Gandrayda, Ghor, Rundas and most of WARCY walked up to them in Patch.
"Oh good, most of you are here." Rosalina said and turned to Yang. "Where's Ruby?"
"She went to Galar to hang out with Gloria."
Rosalina nodded. "That's understandable."
"All I know is that Weiss is in Hyrule's past. I know that much." Aqua said.
"Boop bop boop?"
"Yes. There's a reason why I decided to call a team meeting." Rosalina said. "We're going to get Samus back to her old self again."
"Great! …How are we going to do that?" Ed asked.
Rosalina snapped her fingers, uncloaking Samus's ship. "We're going to space."
"Oh please tell me there's not another X-Parasite problem…" Blake paled.
"There's not."
Blake sighed with relief. "That's good."
"Any reason why?" Aqua asked.
"There's a planet out there that has tons of hostile wildlife, which would be perfect for me to get my legs up and running." Samus explained as Rosalina snapped her fingers again as the area around them changed as a hologram appeared with a solar system in place.
BGM: Tallon Overworld (Metroid Prime) (Start at 0:50)
"Okay, so it's a solar system." Yang said.
Riza's eyes widened. "That's not just any solar system."
"We're heading in that direction?" Ghor wondered.
"Yes. We are." Samus nodded. "It's the only planet I visited that hasn't blown up when I left it."
Blake's eyes widened. "You mean… is this…?"
"Yes. It's Tallon IV."
"Pika…" Pikachu's eyes sparkled with wonder, as did Pichu while Newt let out a growl.
"So. We're all going to Tallon IV together and help Samus get back on her feet?" Rundas asked.
"Yes." Samus nodded. "I'm sick of retirement."
"I'm amazed that you lasted this long." Adam chuckled. "But anyway, you have my support. Let's go to Tallon IV."
Samus closed her eyes, summoning her suit. "Let's rock and roll." She said as she was suddenly hugged by Chell, who had a smile on her face. Samus smiled back and hugged her, then they went inside the ship while Aqua called up the Thalassa Shell while the Strike Team called up theirs.
Samus's ship roared to life as Newt climbed in. "I'm surprised an Omega Metroid can even fit in this." Blake chuckled.
"It's roomy." Samus said as they flew off, and once they left the atmosphere, Samus set up the coordinates for Tallon IV and jumped into hyperspace.

Several lightyears later…
"We're approaching Tallon IV." Samus said as they got out of hyperspace as the other ships joined her a moment later.
"Whoa… It's so pretty." Aqua said.
"Maaaaan, Rubes and Weiss are missing out!" Yang said, proceeding to take a picture.
Samus stared at the planet as they were closing in. "Strange… I never thought I'd feel nostalgic over this." She said as they flew into it.
BGM: Tallon Overworld Depths (Metroid Prime)
The ship docked on a grassy platform as Samus walked out into the rain. "I see it's still perpetually raining."
"Didn't you say it was a dying plane-... agh, more perpetual rain?" Blake wondered.
"It was, but now that the Phazon's gone… Tallon IV is thriving." Samus responded.
"Goodness, it's beautiful." Gandrayda said.
"I could get used to a planet such as this." Ghor said.
"Alright. Let's get my legs back up and running. I don't care how long it takes." Samus said.
"Alright, spread out! Maybe we can lure some monsters toward Samus." Yang cracked her knuckles as they walked off, firing their weapons at doors to open them up.
The Strike Team walked behind a waterfall and went through a cave, before finding themselves at the entrance of a Chozo Temple… or what was left of it. "Oh, so this is the Chozo Temple I've heard about." Winry said.
"It looks beat up, like something caused it to explode. The platform's barely there." Olivier said.
All of them turned to look at each other.
"Samus."
Samus wandered into a cave with Chell and Blake, where a few Beetles popped up and ambushed them. "Heads up!" Blake exclaimed as Samus got into position and kicked a Beetle away while Chell opened up two portals for a Beetle to fall on its back, then Blake kicked one up in the air and then slashed it down.
The bounty huntress approached the Beetles, going into her Metroid form and absorbed their energy until nothing remained of them.
Spinal Cord - Forty Five Percent Healed
"Good." Samus said as she turned back to normal.
"Shouldn't your Chozo DNA have like… fixed you up? I just thought of that just now." Blake said.
"It does, but considering what happened, it's at a snail's pace. By the time it's fully operational, I'd probably be an old lady."
Blake sweatdropped. "That'll do it."
Nearby, ROB wandered into an area with Pikachu and Pichu as they would see Geemers approaching, where they would proceed to stun the Geemers as ROB picked them shortly after and carried them off to Samus where Rosalina examined a Bloodflower.
"Hmm…" She mused as it hissed at her and spat out poison, but she casually stopped it telekinetically. "Yeah, definitely not giving this to Ruby." She said as she hit it with cosmic fire to burn it alive.
As for Yang, she walked in and saw a tree that descended to a lower area. "Oooh, what's down here?" She wondered as she dropped down and already noticed Aqua battling some Beetles together with Newt and the other Bounty Hunters, and once they were finished, Newt roasted them with his fire breath. "Guess I'm late for the party?"
"Naaaaah, you're good." Gandrayda said as Samus dropped down and saw the smoldered Beetles as she absorbed them.
Spinal Cord - Fifty One Percent Healed.
"Already half way there."
Samus returned to normal and walked ahead with the others following. "So, Samus… do you want to try taking off your supports?" Mustang asked.
"I'd rather do it when I'm fully operational." Samus responded as they walked into a room that held an elevator. Samus scanned it just to make sure she was remembering it correctly.
Chozo Ruins
"Let's go." Samus said as they hopped into the elevator as they went down.

Meanwhile…
Ruby sighed. "I'm telling you, Gloria… she's a menace when she's angry."
"Well, I mean… ye did piss her off."
"I know! But it's like… someone had to tell her. Did I take it a bit far, yes but… ugh… I don't think she'll forgive me for that."
"Oh, I wouldnae go that far, lass." She said, handing Ruby a cup of coffee she made. "If anythin', your mum is chattin' with her and coolin' her down as we speak. She'll totally be level headed."
"I guess so… hopefully. This is Samus we're talking about."
"True." Gloria nodded. "But, perhaps she's mellowed out."
"Doubtful." Ruby mumbled. "So uh… Byleth told me you have a new Pokemon?"
"Ah yes, she actually got it for me. She and Bereto think this could be good for me." Gloria pulled up a Dusk Ball. "There's just one wee problem…"
"You're nervous, aren't you?"
"Because of what it is? Aye."
"I'm sure it's not that bad." Ruby said as Gloria tossed the Dusk Ball in the air, where they heard a screech shortly after. "Oh hey, they caught you a Zuba-... oh."
"Aye… it's… I know I said I'm over it but-..."
"Ah! I see what they're doing. Exposure therapy! By evolving it, you'll realize they're not so bad."
"Mmm, I know…" Gloria sighed as the Zubat rested its body on top of Gloria's head. "I know Azelf helped but-"
"Well, maybe we'll help ya with that. See? He's cute!" Ruby smiled, reaching over and petting its ears, causing the Zubat to smile. "By the way, where's Victor?"
"Oh, he's on a date with Neo."
"Ah, coo-... wait, WHAT?"
"Oh, didn't I tell ye? They've been datin' for a while now."
"Excuse me, WHAT?!"
Back on Tallon IV…
BGM: Chozo Ruins (Metroid Prime)
"Are these…?" Blake wondered as they stepped through the door.
"Yes. We're in the Chozo Ruins…" Samus said somberly.
"Ah, that would explain the architecture here." Adam said as they walked through as some Beetles popped out of the ground and charged at them, but Rosalina and Aqua both held them in place with Stop and Cosmic energy as Samus took the opportunity to absorb them.
"Thanks." Samus said after she went back to normal as they went through.
"Boop bop boop?" ROB asked.
"Well, I could stay in my Metroid form, but… don't feel like it."
ROB sweatdropped. "Boop…"
"Eh, it's her thing." Yang shrugged as they walked through the ruins when a few Plated Beetles and some War Wasps came in as the latter tried to lunge and sting them, but Olivier cut through them with her rapier and then Mustang roasted them.
"...Wait, damn! I shouldn't have-"
"Don't worry. Those guys are assholes anyway." Samus said as Armstrong overpowered the Plated Beetles easily, which Samus proceeded to absorb them as they screeched in pain before falling limp.
Spinal Cord - Sixty Two percent
"Getting there." Samus said as they walked through the ruins, going through rooms and absorbing or roasting the War Wasps that tried to sting them, while Pikachu and Pichu electrocuted some Scarabs and Shriekbats with Samus absorbing the latter.
They wandered into Flaaghra's domain. "What the heck is this area?" Blake asked.
"Flaaghra. A shame that the universe reset didn't revive him, I'd have absorbed his nutrients in a heartbeat." Samus said.
"...That would be both unnerving and intriguing to watch." Rosalina admitted as they walked through until they found another elevator, which Samus scanned.
"Rosie… you're gonna have to provide protection for the rest of them. It's gonna get hot down there."
"On it." Rosalina nodded as they went into the elevator.

BGM: Magmoor Caverns (Metroid Prime)
Once they dropped down from a high platform, they proceeded to go forward as Samus casually absorbed some Shriekbats that targeted them, while Riza shot down a few that tried to get away from her.
Once they opened up a hatch, the hot heat from the Caverns was enough to cause a few of them to gasp in surprise, only for Rosalina to put a barrier around them to protect them from the heat.
"I don't think I'm ever getting used to that." Blake admitted as they walked through where Samus absorbed a Gritzby that wandered around, and then when they got further in, they saw a massive lava lake in front of them.
"Soooo… any way around this?" Yang asked as a Magmoor sprung from the lava and roared at them, immediately breathing fire while Samus activated her Gravity Suit as she jumped in, used a Screw Attack to get on top of it as she planted her hand on top of the creature and went into her Metroid form and absorbed it.
The Magmoor attempted to buck her off but Rundas came in and froze the creature as it was dried up quickly after and fell into the lava, but Samus jumped off and landed on Rundas's ice. "How far are you now?" Rundas asked.
Spinal Cord - Eighty Five percent
"Close enough. I think I know the perfect spot to end this." Samus said as she jumped toward the other side as Rundas made an ice bridge for them to cross as they continued on until they found an elevator.
"Boop…?" ROB scanned said elevator as his eyes went green. "Boop bop boop boop!"
"ROB, I'll be fine. The Gravity Suit negates that, remember?"
ROB blinked before booping as if he was chuckling sheepishly.
Chell looked at Samus. ["Do you feel anything?"]
"I feel like I'm getting back to my old self." Samus said as they went down.

BGM: Phendrana Drifts Depths (Metroid Prime)
Everyone walked through an ice cave after exiting the elevator as they walked out and saw Phendrana Shorelines.
"Oh my goodness… it's pretty!" Blake said.
Yang grinned. "Well daaaaang, I like this!" She said.
"Pichu Chu!" Pichu giggled, immediately doing a snow angel, amusing everyone as Samus power walked through the area with everyone following as she walked into a doorway and walked through, changing to her Wave Beam and obliterated the Bombus in the area until she kept going through the areas until she found what she was looking for in a giant arena.
"There you are." Samus said.
"What's in here?" Ed asked.
"When I first walked in here, I fought Thardus. But now? Now a Sheegoth resides in here."
"Great. What's a Sheegoth?" Blake asked as Samus aimed her arm cannon and fired a Super Missile to get its attention. It woke up from the snow and roared at them.
"That's a Sheegoth!" Samus said.
"Great! And you pissed it off!" Ed grimaced.
"It's Samus. She's got this!" Al said as the Sheegoth charged at Samus, the latter doing the same as she activated her Speed Boost before sliding to a stop, going into her ball form and Ball Sparked into his mouth, bursting out of his tail as the Sheegoth hissed in agony as it tried to fire ice missiles at her, but Samus rolled out of the way and pelted it with Super Missiles.
The Sheegoth charged at her where Samus used her Portal Beam to make it fall and it landed on its spiked back as Samus climbed on its underbelly, going into her Metroid form and grabbing it by the throat as she started absorbing it until nothing remained of it.
Samus got up, getting out of her Metroid form as a message appeared from her visor.
Spinal Cord - One Hundred Percent
Spinal Cord Infusion in three, two, one…

"Hnnngh!" Samus grunted, nearly falling over as everyone immediately got to her side.
"Sammy! Speak to me. You okay?" Gandrayda asked.
"Shoot once for yes and shoot twice for no!" Ghor added.
Samus deactivated her armor and put her hands on her knees, her mouth was open and her eyes squinting. She was in too much pain to even speak.
"Samus? Samus!" Rosalina put her hands on her shoulders.
"Pika Pika Pi!"
"Chu Chu Pi!"
Newt let out a concerned growl.
"Lady, how many fingers am I holding up?" Adam asked.
Samus fell on her knees, punching the snow. "Hah… hooo… deep breath… hoo!" She whispered to herself.
BGM: Theme of Samus Aran (Metroid Dread)
With a deep breath, she took her braces off and threw them into the air as she summoned her arm cannon and shot them with the Plasma Beam to destroy them.
"Samus…?" Rosalina whispered.
Samus slowly rose, reopening her eyes as Rosalina immediately took a step back as Samus immediately threw a nasty air kick. A sparkle was seen in her eye as she smirked.
"Back in business." She said. "...Just took me a while to work through the excruciating pain I felt. Made me dizzy, honestly."
"Is our girl back?" Yang asked with a grin.
"I believe she is!" Blake smiled as Samus felt her legs.
"I can definitely feel them again. Oh, this feels so GOOD!" She said as Chell immediately hugged her as Samus chuckled and hugged her back, then when Chell pulled away, Samus immediately got in a fighting stance. "Alright, Gandrayda! You and me. One on one!"
Gandrayda smirked, getting in a battle stance. "It'll be my pleasure!"
"Hold it!" Rosalina spoke up.
End BGM
"What is it?" Samus asked.
"Instead of using your newfound energy against Gandrayda… why not use it on someone else instead?"
"Like who?"
"Like… the one who made you angry in the first place?"
"That's a good idea. But I don't even know how to universe hop." Samus said.
"Maybe we can find someone who does… and I have a feeling who we can ask." Rosalina smiled.
Meanwhile…
"Soooo, how did you get banged up?" Marnie asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." Dark Pit mumbled.
"Hmm, first Lord Bowser gets beaten up and now Master Pittoo? Strange times…" Kamek mused.
"Ugh, "Master Pittoo" sounds awful…" Dark Pit groaned.
"Aw, but it sounds cute!" Shez smiled as Dark Pit shot her a glare. "...What?"
"Well, Master Dark Pit sounds like a mouthful if I'm being honest." Kamek said as they heard a massive thunderclap. "...Goodness, a thunderstorm already?"
"Kamek!" General Guy came running in. "We got trouble!"
"What seems to be the problem?"
"Samus is coming!"
Kamek paled. "S-Samus, you say? Oh no…" He whimpered as Samus landed her ship on the ground as she walked out along with the others. "Okay! What did Lord Bowser do? Or what did Lord Junior do? I promise I'll get after them after I endure a butt whooping for-"
"I need you to help us universe hop."
"...Heh?" Kamek blinked.
"Universe hop, you say?" A voice asked as Merasmus approached along with Kotake and Koume.
"...Who's the old fogies?" Yang asked.
"Oi! We're still young for our age! Show some respect!" Kotake said, whacking her head with her broom.
"OW!" Yang rubbed her head.
Deserved. Dark Pit thought.
"Yes. I want to go between universes." Samus said.
"Multiverse hopping is extremely dangerous. There's no telling if you can come back." Merasmus warned.
"I'll take those chances. There's a Hades that's confusing the hell out of everyone and I'm gonna make sure he's gonna pay." Samus said. "After all, he kidnapped Ruby."
"With our magic combined, we could open up a multiversal portal, but as I said, it's extremely dangerous." Merasmus warned. "You could be permanently stuck in there."
"I'll take my chances."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Aqua asked with concern.
"Yes. After all, Rosie suggested it."
"Well, now I'm getting second thoughts over this…" Rosalina mused. "...But then again, he did kidnap my daughter."
"So let's go kick his ass then."
"Samus, there's a high chance we may never come back. If we go through with this, we may never see our old friends again." Adam warned. "We'll be stuck in a new dimension where our new dimensional friends will not recognize us. We need to exercise caution otherwise we'll be sitting ducks."
"He's not wrong." Blake said.
"It's a risk worth trying." Olivier said.
"Indeed." Armstrong nodded.
Adam looked up at Samus with his robotic eyes. "Any objections, lady?"
Samus turned to look at him and with a cocky smile, she put her thumb down.
Adam chuckled. "That's my girl."
Samus turned toward the wizards. "Fire it up." She said as Kotake, Koume, Merasmus and Kamek chanted a magic spell as they fired their magic at a spot, where a massive multidimensional portal opened up.
BGM: Title Theme (Metroid Dread)
"Good luck in there." Kamek said as they walked into their respective ships, as Samus's ship roared to life as Samus punched the hyperdrive.
"This is for Ruby, you son of a bitch!" Samus said as she immediately shot through the portal, together with the Thalassa Shell and the Strike Team's ship.
Meanwhile…
"Tum te tum tum~ Let's see… what shall we look into today~?" Hades wondered as he looked through the universes when suddenly a bright light from the main universe appeared. "Huh? What's that bright light?"
At that moment, Samus's ship slammed into Hades's chest.
"OOOOOF!" Hades grunted as he was pushed into a universe with SPBRR continuing to push him in there with ACY and the Strike Team close behind them.
