Meanwhile, in the Paper Universe

Footsteps ran across the hallways of Hooktail Castle, a few Dull Bones woke up and noticed the intruder. They raised their bones up to try and attack the intruder, but said intruder ignored them and ran through a door. The Dull Bones looked at each other and shrugged it off.

The intruder panted, as if their life was in mortal danger. They ran through the interior of the castle, desperately trying to get away from whatever it was that terrified them.

The intruder made their way outside, running across the bridge and dodging some Parabones flying about. They tried going after the intruder, but they were already too late as they made their way to the spiraling staircase and then opened up the doors to Hooktail's lair, swiftly shutting it behind them.

"Hah… hah… hah… hah…"

The intruder, being none other than Chaos Ruby, sunk to the ground and closed her eyes. "Why… why now…? Of all the things that could happen… WHY NOW?!"

Earlier…

"Ruby! I have finally found you!"

"Who the hell are you?"

"I am Magog, Calasmos's right hand soldier… AND I HAVE COME FOR YOUR HEAD!"

"Alright…" Chaos Ruby got up, chaos magic swirling around her hands as she levitated off the ground as her eyes turned blue. "Bring it!"

Magog chuckled, twirling his sword around as he batted away Grim as he pounced at him. He unleashed a Kacrackle Slash at Chaos Ruby, but she teleported out of the way as she appeared near him and slashed him out of her hut.

He quickly stabbed the ground to prevent him from sliding any further as he quickly twirled his sword again, blocking a chaotic blue laser and deflecting it, before unleashing a Kaboomle.

Chaos Ruby snapped her fingers, creating a black hole that engulfed the Kaboomle as she then clapped her hands as the black hole exploded, creating a fiery inferno headed toward him, but he quickly put up a shield to block the fire headed his way.

"So this is the power of the person who nearly brought this world to ruin. I must say, your reputation precedes you."

"If you've come for an autograph, you've come to the wrong spot." She said, conjuring up blue flames. "Leave now. I'm not going to ask you a second time."

"Oh, but Ruby… you don't realize who are you dealing with."

Magog tossed his sword up in the air as he punched the ground to create a fissure, forcing Chaos Ruby to get out of the way as she quickly sealed it back up before it could reach her home. She then formed a chaotic javelin and threw it at him. Magog responded by catching it between his fingers.

"Is this chaos magic… or is this some kind of joke?"

Chaos Ruby's eyes widened in surprise as Magog turned it around and threw it at Chaos Ruby. She quickly used a force field to block it as she teleported right near him and quickly sweep kicked him, knocking him off his feet… however, he smirked and punched the ground, as a spiked pillar rose up from underneath her and sent her flying up.

"Nnngh!" She grunted as she recovered, charging up chaotic energy and threw a massive blue ball of energy at him. He calmly raised his hand up and to her surprise, he caught it. "What?!"

"The Dark One offered me a gift before I left. He studied your chaos powers and decided to even the odds. Do you really think you're the only one with chaos powers?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'll show you."

Suddenly, the blue ball of energy turned a crimson red, complete with electricity coursing through it as he used his sword to send it back, which was faster than how Chaos Ruby threw it and engulfed her, resulting in a powerful explosion that sent a shockwave that leveled the trees and Chaos Ruby's hut.

In fact, the cliff that she typically showered underneath the waterfall caved into the lake.

"You see, Calasmos calls this… Draconic Chaos. While you got your powers from the Chaos Heart, I got the chaos powers from the Dark One!"

"That…"

Chaos Ruby took a deep breath, clapping her hands as a dark aura surrounded her.

"That doesn't mean ANYTHING!" She yelled, quickly making a Chaos Dragon as she threw it down at him as it let out a draconic screech and then chomped down at him, and with a snap of the fingers, her dragon exploded.

…However, it slowly turned into a crimson vortex as Magog let out a yell and proceeded to throw it into Chaos Ruby. She crossed her arms to make a giant force field, but to her horror, it shattered said shield as Magog proceeded to jump into the vortex, launching high into the air and then slashed her down into the ground.

"Mmmph!" Chaos Ruby grunted, her aura flickering. She rubbed her lower lip and growled as she picked herself up and pulled out her scythe. Chaotic energy coursed through Crescent Rose as she lunged at Magog, who calmly blocked the scythe swings.

"Pathetic."

Chaos Ruby jumped back, quickly shooting him with chaos bullets, but he deflected them away as Chaos Ruby teleported and then slashed him from behind, knocking him back a bit as she continued swinging… until he parried her, kicked her down and picked up the scythe.

"This is just a toy." He said, using his knee to break the scythe in half and tossed it into the water.

"NO!" She yelled as she growled. "You killed my baby… YOU SON OF A BITCH!" She yelled, unleashing a chaotic laser into him, but he casually blocked the fiery blue laser and with a clench of his fist, the blue laser turned crimson, which in turn, burned Chaos Ruby's hand.

"Agh!" She cried, jumping back and holding on to her singed hand with a wince.

At that moment, her Pokemon came to her aid and protected her, all of them ready to pounce at him with a snarl.

"Your pets are loyal to you… it would be a shame if they were to turn on you."

Chaos Ruby's eyes widened, immediately summoning her Pokeballs right as Magog created crimson orbs and threw them at her Pokemon right as she did, catching only one of her Pokemon while the rest were captured.

"No…" She whispered as Magog brought them to him and tossed them into the air, where Grim, Fleur, Primrose, Fuchsia, and Urshifu stood before her, their eyes a glowing crimson.

"They listen to me now." Magog smirked. "It appears that I didn't get all of them however…"

Chaos Ruby gripped the only Pokeball she had and put it in her pocket as Magog smirked, as a crimson aura surrounded him as it formed into a crimson dragon, with Magog standing underneath it.

"You are powerless. Die with honor!"

Chaos Ruby stared at the dragon before her as she looked back at Magog with horrified eyes as the dragon roared and proceeded to lunge to eat her. She let out a terrified shriek and teleported away before it could chomp down.

"I had a feeling you would run." Magog chuckled. "I have your scent… so know this, Ruby. You may run… but you may never hide. For you only delay the inevitable!"

At Rogueport…

"I'm telling you, professor… there's a strange flower that popped into a neighboring kingdom." Goombella said.

"And what is this flower?" Frankly asked.

"Well… I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's called… a Wonder Flower…?"

"A Wonder Flower? I wonder what powers would come from a plant such as that."

"Maybe we can take a look one of these days and-"

Chaos Ruby ran near the two, quickly diving into the Warp Pipe nearby.

"...Was that Ruby?" Goombella wondered.

"Couldn't be. Last I checked, she wore red. Blue seems unnatural for her. If anything, that could just be a different person."

"Mmm…" Goombella turned around. "I dunno… that could've been her."

"Nonsense. Let's go check out that cake that Frankie and Francesca made for us."

"Right!" Goombella nodded as the two took off, but then she stopped and turned her head again. "Ruby… if that was really you… what happened?"

Back in the present…

Chaos Ruby clutched her head. "What was that… that wasn't normal… it… it wasn't…! It wasn't real!" She exclaimed with tears running down her cheeks.

Her Pokeball opened up as her Zoroark wrapped her arm around her. "Zoro..."

"Scarlet…" She whispered and hugged her tightly, burying her head into her chest. "I don't even know what to do…"

Scarlet said nothing but gently nuzzled her as she silently sobbed into her fur.

"Ruby… please… get well so you and Chiaki can come save me…"

Deadpool: ...Ooooh... I shouldn't have said something.

Ibuki: Holy moly!
