She knew she'd be embarassed but she has to a bit it was the other way around. It's not gems she's embarassed with and humans...are rather caring.
She mentally sighs 'Talk about rude...guess that peridot isn't alone on that. I gotta apologise to Jamie lat-'
Suddenly something flashed in her eyes a few times as she "Gah what the!?"
It flashed again and again before Spinel grabbed the one who does it
She is holding him upside down
"Wow what a rare alien!"
Spinel rubs her eyes as she looks at him, it was a human again with some glasses and yellow curly hair
"Hi there you must be Spinel! Honored to meet you!"
He points his phone at her, photo shooting and flashing again
Spinel *annoyed* - Why you!
Steven - Wowowowoa Hey there Spinel!
Steven stepped in just in time
Steven - Can you please put him down?
Spinel - Okay but only if he stops donig that
Ronaldo - Doing what? *photo shoots again*
Steven - Ronaldo we'll take pictures later alright?
Ronaldo - Hmmm okay, noted buddy.
He runs off
Steven - Sorry he can be really persistent when it comes to the gems and all.
Spinel - That much is obvious. What even was that thing?
Steven - That's what we on earth call phone. I'll expain it to you in detail when the ball is over.
Spinel - You still have something to tell-
They then see that Ronaldo now starts taking pics of other gems and they are not exactly pleased either
Steven - Oh come on! Spinel I gotta go see you!
He runs off to stop him from getting in trouble
Spinel - *sighs* okay now onto the guests.
"Why hello there Squaridot"
She looks at the gems nearby talking with one another.
Two peridots :
One of them was Peridot of the crystal gems who has lime-green skin and pale chartreuse yellow hair styled into a tetrahedron shape.
The other was the same height but has an olive-green color complexion and chartreuse-yellow hair in the shape of a square.
Four Lazulis :
One has the frizzy hair and the butterfly wings (Rock Lapis)
The second one had skin of light violet than traditional blue (Purple Lapis)
The third one was shorter, same height as Peridots and had longer hair (Lil Lazuli)
The final one was Lapis from the crystal gems who wears a backless, halter crop tank top that is blue on top and navy on the bottom resembling half a star.
And three pearls :
One was Yellow Pearl (Yelena) talking to the pearls that Spinel rejuvenated.
Spinel - Wait is that?
She walks up to them "H-hello there welcome!"
They turn to her
Squaridot - Oh hello again my Spinel!
Peridot - Ah hey there Spinel.
Spinel - Hi Peridot.
Purple Lazuli - Hello my Spinel. We're very pleased to meet you.
Pearl - It's good to see you here.
Spinel - Yeah you're doing great too.
Pink Pearl - I also got you this Spinel
Pink Pearl then shows Spinel a ribbon wand before PP pokes at her nose
Spinel giggled at that "Well that was fun btu whoa this thing is beautiful"
Pink Pearl - Well after the whole injector stuff, I thoufht you could use something a lot better than rejuvenator.
Spinle laughs weakly as she rolls her eyes a bit to the side
Lil Lazuli : Are you alright my Spinel?
Spinel - Ah? Oh uhm yeah I'm as good as new!
Rock Lapis - Now Lapis, Spinel must've met many gems tonight so...
Spinel - Yeah that's toatally it. Maybe I'm a bit tired.
CG Lapis looks at her whiel shes' talking to everyone and she's a bit careful.
She trusts Steven on her reformation but she's still partially on the fense
And then she hears a familiar yet unpleasant voice coming near them
"There you are my Spinel"
She looks to see a tangerine and scarred gem that once trapped her in Malachite
Peridot - "Jasper."
Peridot is a bit put off however tries not to turn this into a big deal
Jasper looks at Peridot and takes a short look at Lapis who looks at her unpleased
Jasper - *sighs* You again.
Lapis didn't answer as Jasper then goes to Spinel
Jasper - Just don't get in my way.
Spinel - Uhm is there somthing you need Jasper?
Jasper - My job is to protect you and this ball so I'm doing patrol at the moment my Spinel.
Spinel - Oh...right. Well good luck with that then, ah wait by the way fi you see a yellow haired human just be careful...
Jasper - Understood my Spinel.
Jasper walks off
Lil Lazuli - So that was Jasper.
Rock Lapis - I heard she's used to be the toughest quartz general in era 1 and 2.
Purple Lapis - Lapis? Are you okay? You've been looking at her weirdly
Lapis - We've had... met before and it wasn't pretty.
Spinel - Oh I get it. I don't get too well along with her either. She can be a real killjoy.
Peridot - Yeah that too happens.

Pearl - I think this was great idea. Many gems didn't had much chance to attend such occassions and not many humans ever seen homeworld etiher.
Pink Pearl - All the mroe reason for such a party right Spinel?

Pink Pearl *giggles* - It takes a little practice to handle it properly.

They look to the newly arrived team of Off-Colors

The large caterpillar gem then salutes Spinel

She was then approached by a small and coral orange sapphire
Padparadascha - I predict four rubies rushing towards my Spinel

Rubies - MY SPINEL! (in unison)
Spinel jumps up as does Rhodonite
Aby - Oops sorry my Spinel.
Spinel - Well THAT was one helluva jumpscare!
Spinel looks at Rhodonite "Sorry for that, they can be quite jumpy"

Lars - Uhm don't mind, she too can be a bit shy and unsecure.

The soruce of the crowd's attention seems to Sadie and Shep with her former Suspects members.
Lars - Hey wait isn't that Sadie?... Gueys listen up I'm gonna go there now, try not to act too casual like usual

Lars goes along with Spinel
Spinel - So... you are Steven's old friend right? What was he like with you?
Lars - Oh Steven? He was a really enthusiastic, sweet kid 'While I was bit of a jerk' Kind of like your rubies
Tuby - Is cuteness the only thing we have? That's not enough.
Aby - No it's not. We do protect Spinel remember?
Saby - And we do it in a flashy way!
Spinel - Haha yeah that's true.
And as they approached the crowd, Lars says hi

Buck Dewey - Well knowing what Steven told us they probably
Lars - First things' first, this is Spinel and her ruby guards. Spniel, Rubies, these are mine and Steven's friends Sadie, Shep, Buck, Jenny and Sourcream.

Tuby - My Spinel, since yuo greet almost everyone here cvan I take this one?

Tuby and the other two salute them "Welcome to homeworld humans! We are the rubies, Spinels's loyal guards and hopefully your future friends!"

Spinel giggles as other gems ask the former suspects
A short amber gem "Can I ask is this 'music' of yours a weapon or something?"
They look at each other
Jenny - Uhm...no.
A darker dioptase gem "That's debatable since it feel very alluring"
Buck - That's how it's supoosed to be. Music is powerful...
Sourcream - It speaks to the primal strings in our brains...
Shep - And it can make anyone want to get up and get their knees going
Jenny - Yup a good song can really wrap people up in a better mood than any words alone
A blue kyanite gem asks "Is that so? How can you prove it?"
Sadie - Well why not we sing one right now?
Lars *whipsers* - I thought the suspects were off the job.
Sadie - I think we can do few more songs for this one night.

When it was over, gems looked at them with mixed emotions. Some with surprise, some with fascination. Some were not as much imporessed.

Sadie - Well I thought Spinel would like to hear it. I mean she probably doesn't remember the previous time
Spinel - hah actually I do somewhat remember some lyrics. I have to admit it's better than I thought. Either way thanks for the song Sadie.

Tuby - Yeah I wanna yell out words too!

The list of candidates began to grow
