Amethyst – Hey Ronaldo what are you even doing here?!
Ronaldo was swinging a bat at her as he yelled uncontrollably.
Ronaldo - STAY AWAY FROM ME SNEEPLE! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ME ALIVE!
Amethyst couldn't understand what the colossal nerd was on about, instead turned into kangaroo kicking him away.
And after that a blue kyanite swung her scythe at her which she narrowly dodges before getting kicked by the back tip of sickle.
Garnet meanwhile was preoccupied with green Chrysoprase who was causing a hurricane.
Garnet tried using her future vision but something was interfering in it. She could see different images, from destruction of galaxy warp on earth to destruction of earth itself from the Cluster, and in middle a menacing figure standing amongst the flames...
She wasn't sure if that was Vincent or not but she was certain of one thing. They have to solve this situation quickly and go to earth, time isn't on their side here.
While fighting the hordes of humans and gems, Yellow Diamond told Yellow and Blue Pearls to try and trace where did the signal and transmission of footage came from.
They had to find the gem Olivine, the human Otto and other conspirators.
They managed to get peridots to help them after sneaking away from the areas of the fight especially when fire and explosion start happening.
It wasn't as easy as broadcasting the images out in the open, something was constantly jamming the signal...
Then they thought, where does that jamming is coming from?
And so they found it was found on many places but one stands out strongest.
Pink Diamond's Secluded Tower.
Yelena (Yellow Pearl ) – We have to inform them!
Unfortunately the situation became even more complicated once Blue Diamond rejuvenated.
With her eyes shining white she was now attacking Yellow Diamond.
With White Diamond trying to aid her but simultaneously Red Sapphire tries to cut her in half.
He sees only darkness at the start..
It was empty and cold...
He found it tiring to open them for some reason, he really didn't get sleep... after the ball...
No... wait... no he was at the ball... but when did he even leave?
Or did he leave?
Jamie could only remember Spinel trembling in terror after...
After... that video came, of her... killing Rubies...
He was shocked and in some part angered at her, but tried to calm her down...
And after that...
Wait where is he even?
He blinked many times in irritation as slowly his vision comes back...
Except he doesn't see much... It was quite dark all around him as well... aside from a long window up above the wall shining on him...
He then trips and falls...
He then notices over what...Spinel.
Sweating and nervous...
Yet she wasn't the one grabbing most attention...
He looks over to spot him...
Otto – Welcome to the chamber of solitude, little man...
Jamie – You!? But you dissapeared!... wait... your eyes!
Otto's eyes weren't orange, they were golden yellow...
Jamie – Wait you're not Otto!
He smiled for a bit before his form changed...
This isn't Otto, it's that one creepy maniac watching and seemingly hunting him and his friends for a while...
He was standing in the corner of the room, with him being half concealed in the dark...
Vincent – As you see...How could my associates miss such an opportunity?
Jamie looks back at Spinel who's looking frantically in the closed isolated corridor...
Her eyes however were pitch black now... as if she's eyeless...
Jamie – What have you done to her? Why did you come here even? We didn't do anything to you for such acts!
Vincent - Ah ah aah she's ...shall we say, in experimental state of coma, now allow me to make some things clear for you...
He stretched out his hand as it turns into spikes. One of them lifts up...
...First, I simply unleashed what was already festering... and used it to my own ends, many living beings do that for many reasons. Power, profit, control... or simply pleasure...
Then the second one comes out...
...Second, since their operation has begun our deal is soon ending. Means and ends for each other as they say. And I may need something from you as well...
Jamie – You sought to kill us every time you saw us. Egged other gems to kill us, even when we tried to help you. And turned celebration of unity into a carnage... You also are doing who knows what to Spinel, I' have nothing to give to you!
As he finished the sentence, he felt a chill go down his spine as the darkness around emanates hostilities.
He then saw Vincent coming closer to him, as dark in his eyes was turning on and off...
He then gets a view of his face as he removed his skin coloured mask off for a brief moment...
He fell back again as he breathes heavily...
Vincent – It'll be easy for your insides to end up on the outside, little man...
He then turns around as he looks up at the long window
Vincent – And by the way, why aren't you asking how I made it in here? How did I do this so you never noticed? No, why didn't you search for me as hard as you could? I clearly was a threat to you and your star Stevenson... Yet for all your worries you didn't looks for me... or didn't even try to beware of the gems seeking to get revenge on you?... Jamie Buddwick, didn't you ever wonder why? You're quite inconsistent aren't you?
Jamie – W-wha...*gulps*... What do you mean by that! Of course we did! But we didn't know where!
Vincent – Like I didn't even exist... you know, I've killed A LOT of people...
Jamie couldn't understand how being a serial killer can be a proud achievement...
Vincent – And yet, fear of the unknown is a very popular thing that comes to one's mind when they don't have control or awareness... I possess many abilities you may not feel but they are there... One of them emotional distortion...
Jamie thinks 'Emotional distortion? So he's like... polluting my mind tight now??'
Vincent – I use it to bury your memory of me... Enough so you remember, but not enough to do remember properties I possess... It must be terrifying isn't it? That someone holds string over your life while you're in blissful ignorance...
Jamie's eye pupils shrunk as he refuse to believe him.
Jamie – You're lying! I'm me! Nobody else!
Vincent – Is it me that's lying or is it you? Same goes for Universe, for that fragile Spinel... and time displaced Pink Pearl...
Jamie confused at the latter
Jamie – What did you do to her?! Where is she?!
He felt a hand on his shoulder "I'm right here..."
He jumped up and forward as Vollyn stood before him, except now she looked different...
Her eyes were pitch black like Spinel's with shiny white pupils piercing into him...
Her kimono outfit was now darkened, she held 2 double bladed swords with a creepy smile on her face... like one of a psychopath fro the horror movie...
Jamie was petrified at the sight
Jamie – Oh Vollyn.. what had he done to you?...
Vollyn held her blades in a cross with his head in the middle resembling an execution.
Vollyn smiled before saying "What he done? Or what you done?"
Jamie tries to step out of the blade cross but she is stepping forward so that he won't.
Jamie – Vollyn... I-I don't understand-
Vincent – I know about your time traveling escapades. I felt something was off at one point in time. You wouldn't believe how fragile a person can be especially in moments of existential crisis. Your own current existence seems unnecessary...
Vollyn – I eould encourage you to NOT push it Butch...
Vincent – Ah you spoiled it, oh well... in short, Vincent Riot isn't the original name of this corpse that you see...
Vollyn – I'd like to hear more on that myself... But alas, I have somewhere to go, some things to finish...Oh and someone to deliver elsewhere...
Vollyn withdrew her blades as she grabbed Spinel
Jamie goes after her, trying to stop her
But she then falls into a black void in the ground dissapearing elsewhere
Jamie - Vollyn! Spinel!
Vincent – Don't bother, she won't hear you now. Her body submits, and her heart succumbs. It now belongs again to darkness, all worlds begin in darkness, all of them end there. Heart is no different, darkness slowly consumes it as it naturally should. It's harder with Spinel given her thousand years of isolated trauma... but she will fall sooner or later.
Jamie – You'll turn her into killing machine?!
He then found Vincent right behind him.
Vincent – Why do you think this place disturbs her? This place was once a prison cage of her old best friend... Pink Diamond...
He then jumped upward at the long window ledge.
Vincent – I now understand why she related more to humans to her own diamond family, humans live a flawed life. And how conveniently, here comes the story of this current vessel ... Name was Adam 'Carlin' Butch. A guy was like you, one with beliefs, dreams and fears. He got I trouble often and his misadventures were disapproved by his mother who thought he was like his deadbeat dad... And even still, he did what he could to make her proud and make their lives better... Alas once he beat up a someone who insulted his family, got in correctional prison which was anything but that. Quite corrupt and full of scum on both sides, prisoners and guards... some were good people who he befriended... whom the patrol guard has abused, so in his rage he killed that guard which landed him in a harsh level jail. Even then, he trued to blend in only to eventually gave his friend driven to suicide by bullies of the prison... And guards let it happen... Now Jamie tell me this, what happens when you have nothing to lose? When you can't afford anything? You riot or you rot. That's what he did, he made sure to ruin mood of everyone involved... He even got a unexpected chance to escape that hell... only for someone to snitch on him and let the guards go wild on him and drag him right back to that hellhole...
Vincent then looks over the homeworld of gemkind
Vincent – A kingdom of rocks, executions and silence... Something similar was there, for many years he was kept locked up... became far more jaded, more brutal... he understood that life only made sense if you force it to. Eventually of course he started yet another riot, this time he made sure to fuck up every single cell in there. An he made it out into the wild as he screamed into the skies when it was raining...
Jamie – Hmph. So you're nothing but a brute now? Like Jasper was.
Vincent jumps back down to him as he continues
Vincent – Your pals may not come in time to help you so choose words carefully... As far as what came next, he wasn't able to meet his mother again , she died... his home wasn't where it was once... he hated the fact that years of his life got wasted for doing a supposedly goodie act the world preached him on, he wanted the world to burn... Not long after that he came into contact with it... One of 13 dark spirits in form of an old decaying man who offers a deal, revive his mother in exchange for his body as new arc for his essence... He seen that power in action when a whole building got turned into dust right before his eyes... so he agreed, and took the bait... He was fooled into that deal of course, his mother's revival wasn't in it's interests... It was too late when he understood it... His identity dissapeared...
Jamie wasn't moving for a moment thinking about the story... " Why are you telling me all of this? For sympathy and understanding? If so you would've succeeded even more with Steven but you can't heal your old pain by inflicting it on others"
Vincent – And again you misunderstand, Adam Butch is gone... he isn't here to hear you anymore... As for Stevenson? I need his inner beast for a bloodbath ahead. Why do I tell you this? I wanna see if you're prepared for this happens to you now...
Jamie – I will not let you in!
Jamie then focused and started running, his pink mode activated as he made it out of the tower through window...
Vincent – Aaah thrill of the hunt, okay... let's have some fun...
Vincent goes to the wall as he then began tearing it up...
Jamie was running and jumping off and on although his feet slipped sometimes , his destination was white diamond like big building in the distance where the ball is set up.
Looks like he can use this ability better now... Good...
He then notices a large shadow covering him as he looks back to see that very tower being torn off by Vincent as he held it up...
Vincent – You asked what's my purpose here...It's to return it all to where it once was, including the unnecessary lights...
And then he does it, he throws it across and it flies at him...
He increased the speed as he tried to reach the ball with all his might...
...
...
...
Unfortunately he could not.
As he felt something collapsing onto him painfully piercing and dragging him downward into the deepest levels of the homeworld.
He could feel wind hitting him as he's spiralling down with all the pieces of tower following him before some of them fell on some infrastructures nearby...
The infrastructure eerily similar to the one he jumped from when he met Rhodonite's gem components...
So it all came to this... Poetic circle he guessed...
He was lucky to survive there, he's not sure about this one as his body tumbles into the abyss...
And yet again he sees the dark, this time struggling even more to move...
His back wound reopened again...
All alone, by himself...
He hears familiar voice again...
"Don't worry, that pain will soon end... Just take my hand"
He then saw them here... Steven, Moonstone, Garny, Gems, Off Colours, his parents...Spinel stretching out her hand to him.
"Just take my hand... and we'll help you"
Jamie didn't know whether it is an illusion, whispering like a mirror reflection...
The pain, the dread and fear however left his mind to one option only...
And in desperation, he took it.
"Good Choice"
Anti-Light here as a force has effect on humans and gems giving them additional power but can be extremely harmful, as it eventually eats away the light in gems and causing humans to painfully rot, and slowly both get withered down to dust.
A universe is big, a multiverse even more so again where do you think the line '13 dark spirits' comes from. You may guess right or wrong but oh well.
