While Chiaki Is Drinking Her Sorrows Away

Deep within Junko's home, within the kitchen, to be exact, there were plans deep within a shredder.

No one was home, as Junko was out at the movies with Mukuro, but the door was unlocked as someone strolled on in.

BGM: Dreams of Cruelty (Team Fortress 2)

They went to the kitchen, opening up drawers to find whatever it was that they needed to find. It was then that the shredder was found as they picked it up and dumped it all on the counter out of curiosity.

To their discovery, there were blue pieces of paper scattered about. They proceeded to mix them together until it was just right… then they grabbed the tape and pieced it together.

Blueprints.

Curiously, there was something on top that grabbed their attention. A curious title.

A light chuckle was heard, before they rolled up the restored blueprints, put the rest of the crime scene back into the shredder and then put it back, then they walked out of the home and closed the door, locking it in the process.

There was much work to be done.

The next day, around when Strange put Chiaki under a spell…

Ironwood sat down on the couch to read the newspaper when his scroll started to ring. He immediately pulled it out and answered it. "This is the general."

"What the hell are you doing in the Mushroom Kingdom?"

"Sleet? What are you talking about?"

"You're conducting military operations in Toad Town!"

"I think I would know that I'm conducting such an operation in Toad Town."

"Where are you at?"

"At my cousin's. Why?"

"If you're there, then where's that daughter of yours?"

"In the shower."

At that moment, Esdeath walked in with a towel over her neck with a tank top and short shorts.

"Er, was in the shower."

"Have you received word about the Ace Ops doing anything?"

"As far as I know, they're still settling in Peach's Castle. And I don't think Syrup is doing anything… despite disappearing with one of our own ships after we stopped Eggman. She might be in the ocean, no one knows for sure."

"Then who has five Paladins running around town?!"

Ironwood's eyes widened. "What?! I'll look into it!" He said as he hung up.

"Who was that?" Esdeath asked.

"That was Sleet. Apparently someone hijacked five Paladins."

"Huh?!" Emerald looked up from her scroll. "I thought everything in Atlas was destroyed."

"Not everything. Apparently there were some Paladins that were still functional. We had Futaba manipulate the water so we could do some excavation." Ironwood explained. "In it, we found several weapons still intact along with some Paladins. We were able to fix them up, but had them on standby. To think someone was able to hijack five of them under our noses…"

"Well… if you had them out in the open just like that-"

"That's the thing. Futaba created a massive safe to where we were able to store them safely in case we needed them." Ironwood continued. "To think someone was able to get into it… worst part is, it was a five digit code that only she knew and only shared it with me."

"How come we didn't know about this?" Esdeath asked.

"You were enjoying a spa day with your daughter. I didn't want to interrupt it."

Both ladies side eyed each other before shrugging. "Okay, fair." Emerald nodded.

"Let's go round them up."

"I'll alert the Ace Ops."

Once at Toad Town…

The Ace Ops approached Ironwood while Esdeath alerted the Winter Ops. "...Wait, where's Seryu and Sheele?" Esdeath asked.

"Those two went off to help Weiss get her Rathalos back from Adam." Winter responded.

"And you didn't go with them?" Ironwood asked.

"We're on standby, just in case Weiss is in deep trouble."

Ironwood nodded. "Alright… now listen up. I've heard-"

"Yeah, five Paladins are runnin' around Toad Town. Not sure how that's possible." Harriet said.

"We need to round them up ASAP." Ironwood said. "Find those five and bring them together, then we'll surround them and demand the hijackers get out quietly."

"You need any help?" A voice asked as they turned to see Robyn approaching. "I think us girls can lend a hand."

"That'd be appreciated. The more hands, the better." Ironwood said as Robyn nodded. "Alright, spread out and find the five Paladins. Make sure there are minimal injuries!"

With a nod, the group spread out.

"General, nice to see you again!" A voice said as Ironwood turned to see Sonia approaching.

"Nevermind. Good to see you again as well. What brings you out here?"

"Oh, I was just in the neighborhood, trying to help my friend recover from a massive hangover. What's up?"

"This is going to sound insane but… then again, you have military expertise. Maybe you can help out."

"What do you need? I can round up my fellow Ultimates if you'd like."

"Have you ever seen what a Paladin looks like?"

"Oh, you mean those Atlesian mechs that I see on TV?"

"Yes. Five of them are missing. We're thinking they were hijacked."

Sonia smirked. "Not for long, they won't be~!"

At Future Foundation…

"What? Five Atlesian Paladins are running around?" Kyoko asked as she walked out. "I was wondering what all the ruckus was… because it didn't sound like your typical Bowser invasion."

"You think we oughta stop 'em?" Aoi asked.

"Of course. I was actually getting kinda bored." Kyoko smirked as she, Aoi, Sakura, Byakuya, Komaru, Toko, Yasuhiro and Makoto walked out, where nearby, Kiyotaka joined them.

"ALRIIIIIGHT! Those who disturb the peace in this town is DEFINITELY gonna get it!" Kiyotaka declared. "...Except for the Koopa King 'cause he's actually kinda cool!"

"Let's stop these bad boys." Kyoko said as they took off.

BGM: Time's Running Out! (Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam)

One Paladin was walking around town, finding a light pole and started to pick it up, lifting it like a weight and looking at a few ladies. The ladies raised eyebrows, unaware of one fanning herself while another tilted her head in confusion.

At that moment, a Warthog came driving up as the Paladin turned around as the Warthog screeched to a halt as Chief got out of the driver's seat. The Paladin stared at him as he folded his arms.

The Paladin threw the light pole at him and ran away, but Chief was able to duck as he got back in the Warthog and drove off.

"Frankly, I don't think intimidating a large mech by folding your arms did anything!" Cortana said.

"It scared him off."

"Good point."

The Paladin continued to run away as Chief kept up the pace, while another Warthog launched over a roof and landed parallel to Chief. "Don't worry, Chief. We got you covered!" Sarge said as they continued to drive together.

The second Paladin played with the water in the fountain at Town Square, with some onlookers unsure of what they were looking at.

Sonia approached the Paladin with a shotgun, whistling to get its attention as the Paladin turned around to see Sonia and most of Class 77-B, save for Chiaki, Hajime, Ibuki, Mahiru and Mikan, the latter being too busy at the moment. It then proceeded to jump away and ran off.

"Oho, we got a little chicken in there!" Hiyoko laughed.

"After it!" Kazuichi exclaimed as they ran after it, while Peko climbed up a wall and started running on roofs and picked up speed.

The third Paladin was at the park, breakdancing next to a few break dancing Koopas. The Koopas glared at the Paladin as they proceeded to breakdance their hearts out to one up the mech.

To their dismay, the Paladin did some Robot/Breakdancing fusion dance that made them jawdrop in dismay. One of them fell on his knees and sobbed uncontrollably.

At that moment, it started to snow as Esdeath came running over and proceeded to give it a good ice kick to knock the frozen Paladin away. The Paladin said nothing, but it's arm raised up and flipped Esdeath off, only for Esdeath to disappear from it.

The Paladin looked around in surprise, unaware of Emerald using her semblance on whoever was inside the mech. While it was distracted, Harriet ran around and put wire around the Paladin's legs and then kicked it down, then Elm, together with the Happy Huntresses, the Winter/Ace Ops and Ironwood, they proceeded to haul it off as it tried to flail about, but Vine kept the arms held still with his semblance.

"Good riddance, ya cheater!" One of the Koopas called out while both Esdeath and Emerald fist bumped each other while walking.

"Next!" An Ice Cream serving Toad at a stand said, unaware of his next customer as he was looking through his cash. "Huh… the weather didn't call for stormy weather today…"

He looked up, seeing the giant Paladin in front of him. "Oh my! …You on a mission and want a little snack on the road?"

The Paladin seemingly nodded yes.

"Sounds good! Pick whatever you like!"

The Paladin looked over the flavors and pointed toward the chocolate flavor.

"LINK!" Kyoko yelled as the Paladin was immediately stiffened before it walked away with Kyoko behind it with the other Ultimates behind them.

"That was easy." Yasuhiro said.

Komaru looked at the ice cream flavors. "...You got any bubblegum flavors in there?"

"Come on, Koko!" Toko yanked her away by the ear.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!"

The Toad sweatdropped. "Sheesh, what's their problem?"

The last Paladin hit a ? Block, pulling out a Mushroom. It tossed the Mushroom away and looked at the now used ? block. It tilted it upside down and started shaking it, wondering if anything else would come out of it.

"Hey!" A voice said as it turned to see Mukuro and Junko.

The Paladin pointed at itself.

"Yeah, you!" Mukuro nodded. "Come on, we'll show you where you can get more items."

"Follow us~!" Junko smiled as they walked off with the Paladin excitedly accompanying them.

The first Paladin jumped at a crossroads and turned around to see Sarge revving up on the side while Chief rolled up front.

The Paladin got in a fighting stance with a "come at me" taunt… only for a Paladin to get thrown at it to knock it down, as it was joined by the other Paladins.

Everyone gathered around it with a few curious onlookers looked on. Ironwood approached all five. "Alright, we have you all surrounded. Now reveal yourselves on who you are before we're forced to take drastic measures."

Immediately, the five hatches opened up… and five bears jumped out.

"Monotaro!"

"Monosuke!"

"Monophanie!"

"Monodam!"

"Monokid!"

All five landed on the ground.

"Rise and shine, ursine! With our powers combined, we're the Monokubs!"

Harriet blinked. "...What?"

"Wait… are those teddy bears?" Marrow wondered.

"Uuuuuh…" Robyn blinked, tilting her head.

Chief lowered his weapon. "What…"

"One of them has leopard skin. I'm not sure how to feel about that…" Cortana said.

"What in god's name is this? Are we being invaded by cuddly teddy bears with no fashion sense?!" Sarge asked.

"By the looks of it… it probably is." Simmons said.

"Dear god, it's a teddy bear with no fashion sense apocalypse!" Sarge exclaimed. "Here, take Grif as tribute!"

"ME?! What's that gonna do?!"

"Maybe you'll die from sheer second hand embarrassment from those skins!"

"...THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!"

As for the Ultimates…

Kazuichi immediately started screaming in a panic. "MUH-MUH-MUH-MUH… MONOKUMA! AND HE MULTIPLIED!"

"N-no… it can't be…!" Sonia whimpered.

"What the fuck…?! WHAT THE FUCK?!" Fuyuhiko yelled.

"Oooh, not again… NOT AGAIN!" Yasuhiro yelled in a panic.

"Has the killing game begun anew?!" Gundham wondered.

Aoi put her hand over her mouth in horror while Kyoko was trying to figure out what was going on. "Th-this is some messed up prank, right? RIGHT?!" Aoi hoped.

However, not all of them were horrified as a cross vein appeared on both Mukuro and Byakuya. "JUNKO!" Mukuro growled.

Byakuya angrily grabbed Junko by the collar. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"

"Wh-wha…? I don't know! This wasn't me, I swear!"

"Don't you lie to us! This has you written all over it!"

"I don't know how this happened!"

Komaru blinked, rubbing her head in confusion. "...Really? Leopard skin? That's the best you can do?" She tilted her head. "Talk about no imagination… no worries, I'll put it out of it's misery."

She aimed her own hacking gun at them. "Steady…"

"Ah! That's where you scampers ran off to!"

Everyone turned to see Caboose walking up to them. "Hellooooo!"

"Caboose? What's going on here?" Kyoko asked.

"Oh, it's quite simple. My kids are just playing hide and seek!"

"And we've been found!"

"Sorry, daddy…" Monophanie said.

"WHY DOES THE PINK ONE SOUND LIKE SONIA?!" Kazuichi yelled.

"We'll try harder next time, or it's his ass that's in the grinder!" Monosuke said, pointing at Monodam.

Monodam stayed silent.

"HELL YEAH!" Monokid yelled like a rockstar.

"I don't get it…" Ironwood said, trying to make sense of it while scratching his head.

"NOOOOOOOOO! IT'S MY WORST DREAMS COME TRUE! CABOOSE IS A DAD!" Grif cried.

"...He probably makes a better dad than you." Sarge said.

"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP, SARGE."

"Ah! Let me explain!" Caboose cleared his throat. "It all began last night-"

Flashback!

"I knocked on Junko's door, but the door opened up. I walked in and saw nobody in there, so I thought Junko was playing hide and seek. So I wandered around, opening up the kitchen drawers to see if she and her sister was hiding. I saw this garbage can inside of it and figured one of them must have been hiding in there… so I dumped it all on the counter!

I saw these curious blue pieces of paper in the garbage can so I scrambled them around like a puzzle, taping them together! It was a curious title of the name too, I believe it was called… oh… what was it? Ah! It was Operation: Make A Friend Because I'm Lonely Without My Sister. I proceeded to spend the whole night making these absolutely beautiful kids!"

End Flashback…

"There's one thing that's tricky though. They are a handful. And they love to play hide and seek."

"What were you doing in Junko's house?" Kyoko asked.

"I was just seeing if they wanted to make cookies! In fact, I was gonna make cookies for them as a surprise but I got distracted by that."

Awkward silence.

"My bad."

Mukuro blinked. "Junko… what… does he mean by that?"

Junko sighed. "Well, the truth is… before you came back into my life, I was rather lonely. My only friends at the time were Chiaki and Caboose, but… as the days went by, I started making new friends like Kyoko and the other Ultimates… but I still felt incomplete. I missed you… and I felt bad about what I did to you. In such, I wanted to make at least one Monokuma that wasn't evil, but… friendly. Not only that… but I was going to model it after you, and named it Mukuro."

Mukuro said nothing, putting her hand over her mouth with tears in her eyes.

"When you came back into my life… and we made up, I realized that the whole operation I was planning on was obsolete, so I put it through the shredder. I thought I had taken it out at the dumpster after that but… I forgot to do it…"

"All of that… because you felt incomplete and wanted to name a Monokuma after me…"

"Yes…"

Mukuro immediately hugged her, wrapping her arms around her. "Oh Junko…"

"Awww!" Komaru smiled.

"Oh, Junko…" Sonia wiped a tear from her eye. "That's so touching!"

"Eh… a little sappy for my tastes, but… good for you." Akane said.

"That still doesn't change the fact that we're now dealing with five nightmares!" Byakuya said.

Kyoko smiled. "I'd say leave it be, Togami. That's actually rather sweet."

"Indeed." Sakura nodded.

"Ooooh, that was so sweet, I could cry! C'mere!" Aoi immediately hugged Junko with a giggle.

"Eeeh… I guess it's fine…" Toko said.

"Kids, meet your auntie Junko!" Caboose said as the Monokubs surrounded Junko and hugged her.

"Well… I have to admit, this is rather touching." Epsilon said.

"Oh! And that's your uncle Church. Go give him a hug!"

"WHAT?!"

"Uncle Chuuuuurch!"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT NO NO NO-"

They all dogpiled on Epsilon.

"Gah! Get off! I don't want to die by fucking teddy bears! GET OFF!"

"Aren't they darlings?" Caboose asked.

Esdeath chuckled. "They sure are."

Slowly, everyone started to walk away from the scene, leaving only Ironwood by himself as he only left an exasperated sigh, watching Epsilon struggle to get away from the Monokubs.

"I wonder if Qrow's available… I might need to have a drink with him."

"So long, Bear-well!"
