Chapter ten: lead discount
Jack drives with his gang and three delivery trucks in front of a warehouse near Great Lake City. It's an hour after midnight. They get out. They went in and Jack lit a cigarette. there was a man with curly red hair, a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.
"Hey Jack. What do you need? More guns?" said the man.
"I don't know Tommy. You mean like the M60 which had a fucked firing pin? You ripped me off." said Jack.
"Hey. That can happen. I'll give you a new one too." said Tommy.
"Kenny, give him the list." Kenny approached Tommy and handed him the list. Tommy read them through.
"It won't be cheap. Surely 70,000 US dollars. Even more." said Tommy.
"I want discount." said Jack.
"You know I can't do that. I need money to survive too."
"I want discount I said."
"Hey, if you act like that, fuck off!"
"Okay. Then I want the lead discount." said Jack.
The next second, Jack pulled out his silenced Glock 17 and shot Tommy in the face. Jack slipped the Glock back into his leather jacket.
"I can't believe how greedy people are. Don't you Kenny?" said Jack.
"Exactly." said Kenny.
"Put him in one of the metal barrels. We'll bury him in the woods later." said Jack.
One of the gang members got an empty metal barrel and put Tommy's body in the barrel. Some bones could be heard breaking.
"Kenny, take the things for Natasha with the others. I'll take a look around." said Jack.
"Hey Jack. Look here." said a gang member standing next to a smaller cannon.
The cannon was as tall as an adult human and was mounted on wheels.
"That's a nice toy. We'll take it with us. We'll take all the weapons we find with us." said Jack. Kenny approached Jack.
"We have everything on the list. And then some." said Kenny.
"Good. Then load the stuff." said Jack.
Jack's gang loaded the gauges and guns into the vans. In a van stood the cannon, alongside rifles, pistols, gauges, and the barrel With Tommy's body inside. Jack got into the van with Kenny and drove through the darkness.
Natasha sat in her room. She looked at the Royal Woods Nuclear Power Plant website. She also ate a taco with chicken, onions and BBQ sauce. The data that was there on the website was unbelievable. 528,229.8 gigawatt hours were generated. 2,570 watts of power in total. But there was no word on when block one was to be put back into operation. Natasha got up and ran to her father, who was watching TV on the sofa.
"Dad, when will block one be up and running again? It's not on the website anywhere." said Natasha.
"In five days. Then we'll be back in sync with the power grid." said Mike.
"Oh, I remember. I'll be with Lori for a few days. Is that alright?"
"How many days?"
"Three."
"That's fine. Have fun." said Mike.
Jack's gang is in the woods. Kenny watches as the members dig a deep hole. Tommy's body is lying next to the hole.
"Make it deep enough." said Kenny.
When the members were done, Kenny kicked Tommy's body and it fell down the hole. Kenny spat on Tommy's body.
"Finally you got what you deserved. Dig this hole over." said Kenny.
One of the gang members started filling in the hole. Kenny went to the van and got in. He pulled out the cell phone and dialed Jack's number. He answered.
"Yes?"
"We're in the process of disposing of Tommy." said Kenny.
"Good. If people are watching you, no matter who, shoot them." said Jack.
"We'll do that. Oh, as for the gun that's in my van, it's a tank gun. 80mm calibre."
"Good. When you're done, you come to me immediately."
"We do that." Kenny said and hung up.
Natasha walked down the sidewalk on Franklin Avenue. To do this, she spoke to herself. That happened to Natasha more and more often lately.
"The lead shouldn't be exposed to moisture. It could get into the groundwater. The basement still needs to be sealed. It'll work for sure. It has to work." Natasha said to herself.
She reached the Louds' house. Natasha went to the door and rang the bell. Lori opened. "Hi Tasha. Nice to see you." said Lori.
"Hi Lori." said Natasha.
The two hugged.
"Come in." said Lori.
Natasha entered the house. They went to Lori's room.
"Hey. Have you seen the Nuclear Power Plant website?" asked Natasha.
"No. Show me." said Lori.
Natasha got her MacBook Air out of the case and went to the website. She gave it to Lori.
"Click through the site if you want." said Natasha.
Lori clicked through. She read a report on the development.
"Royal Woods nuclear power plant one and two was the project in direct competition with the Soviet Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Unit one still has the equipment typical of breeder reactors. These components are disabled, but could be brought back into service. Natasha, what is a breeder reactor?" asked Lori.
"The nuclear waste from Royal Woods one is suitable for building nuclear weapons."
"Okay. Oh, i forgot, How are the three of us going to put a sheet of lead on top of the structure? Lead weighs a lot."
"I've already thought about that. The whole laboratory has a modular design. I even thought it through so that it could theoretically be built into a camper."
"Why don't we put it in a camper?"
"Because campers are extremely expensive. And we can work well enough in our basement."
"I hope Jack has the gauges soon. I want to get this research over with quickly."
"Me too. I don't want those fuel rods in our house." said Natasha.
Lincoln, Lynn and Luna see Natasha from the hallway. The three run to the door.
"Hi Natasha. Are you back?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes. I'm only here for three days." said Natasha.
"Lori, can I see in your closet? I have a feeling it fell into the fresh laundry." said Lincoln.
"Um, I'll check." said Lori.
"Why?" asked Luna.
"Because I don't want anyone going through my closet." said Lori.
Lori went to the closet and looked inside.
If Lincoln had looked inside, he would have seen Loris K31 immediately. Lori recalled only firing it once so far. She should go practice in the forest in the evening. Lori kept looking. Then she found Lincoln's controller. Lori closed the closet and handed the controller to Lincoln.
"Thanks Lori." said Lincoln.
"Finally. No more searching," Lynn said.
"Hey Lincoln. What games are you playing?" asked Natasha.
"Sometimes Minecraft, sometimes something else. It's always different." said Lincoln.
"I recommend you Horizon Zero Dawn. Believe me, there is no other game with a better story." said Natasha.
"Okay. Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look." Lincoln said.
Lincoln, Lynn and Luna left.
"I didn't know you played video games." said Lori.
"I just have a lot of time to myself. With the few friends I have." said Natasha.
"I didn't expect that. What do you play like that?" asked Lori.
"As I said, Horizon Zero Dawn, from time to time tactical games like World of Warships Legends."
"You would get along well with Lincoln."
"Can I have a chat with Lincoln?"
"Of course. You've been here a month, and you've only been busy with the nuclear power plant. Go talk to him."
"Lori, do you think Lincoln is okay with me because I'm a bit fatter than I was three weeks ago?"
"Tasha, Lincoln is the friendliest boy I know."
Natasha went down the stairs. She sat down next to Lincoln and watched him play.
"You're good." said Natasha.
"Thanks." said Lincoln.
"I also play Minecraft from time to time."
"Do you want to play too? Unfortunately, I only have one controller."
"With pleasure."
Lincoln handed the controller to Natasha and she began to play. Natasha begins to move through the block world.
"That's unusual." said Natasha.
"What do you mean exactly?" asked Lincoln.
"I play Minecraft on Mac. I'm not used to controllers here."
"You're still doing quite well."
"Thanks." said Natasha.
Then the two heard a hiss, and then an explosion. The TV said you died.
"Wow..." said Natasha.
"Creeper. Happened to me again and again." said Lincoln.
"Sorry. I lost your whole inventory."
"No problem. I can always get that back."
"Lincoln, do you think my looks are okay?"
"Yes. Of course. Why?"
"Somehow I keep doubting it. And you're the only boy I trust enough."
"And my width? Do you think that's ok?"
"You know, losing weight would be nice because it's healthier. But even I would say that you're pretty just the way you are."
Natasha hugged Lincoln.
"Aww. Thank you very much. No one's ever said that to me before." said Natasha happily.
"I'm glad it makes you happy." said Lincoln.
The two continued to play alternately.
"I miss the shader." said Natasha.
"Shaders?" asked Lincoln.
"Realistic shadows. This is something I really need in Minecraft."
"Can I turn this on on the Playstation?"
"If you want your Playstation to burst into flames. No, I'm just kidding. No, unfortunately you can't."
"I see." said Lincoln.
The two continued to play.
"Natasha, do you have a boyfriend?" asked Lincoln.
"No. Nobody had ever taken an interest in me." Natasha said a little sadly.
"Sorry if I hurt your feelings." said Lincoln.
"No. It's okay Lincoln. I just feel lonely in a way."
"I'm very sorry to hear that. But I think that eventually you'll find the right boy and you'll be very happy."
"Thanks Lincoln. But that's not easy when you're fat like me."
"Oh please. You are a very beautiful young woman. I'm surprised you don't have a boyfriend."
"You're too nice. Your sisters are lucky to have you as a brother."
Mike drove to Flip's gas station. He stopped at the pump and looked at the gas prices.
"Two dollars a liter? That shit keeps getting more expensive." said Mike.
He took the hose and started to fill up. Someone tapped him on the shoulder. Mike turned around. It was Claire. She wore a red dress with a short skirt. Claire gave him an embarrassed look. Mike's heart was pounding.
"Hi." Claire said shyly.
"Hi. What are you doing here?" asked Mike.
"I went for a little walk. And then I saw you here."
"Fine, how are you?"
"Good." Claire said, but actually she wanted to say that she misses him.
"That's good to hear."
Claire pointed to the gas cap.
"It is full." said Claire.
Mike turned to the car and pulled out the hose. A few drops of gasoline dripped onto his right hand.
"Thanks Claire. I enjoyed spending lunch with you." said Mike.
"Me too. I'd love to do that again." said Claire.
Mike felt a kind of heat from his hand. He looked at it and noticed that it was bright red and his skin was starting to rip. Mike felt pain like hell. Claire started.
"Mike! What's going on?" Claire asked in panic.
"I do not know." said mike.
Now his hand started bleeding. Claire pulled out her cell phone and dialed 911.
"Yes. This is Claire May. Please hurry to Flip's gas station. It's an emergency. My friend is bleeding from his hand and we don't know why." Claire said.
"We'll be right there." Said the voice on the phone.
"Thanks." Claire said, and hung up.
She turned to Mike.
"You got one Rags or something like that here?" Claire asked.
"No. I haven't." Mike said as he struggled against the pain.
Claire thought about it and took some tissues out of her purse. She put them on Mike's hand. Then the ambulance came. It pulled up squeaking next to the two, and an ambulance got out. He went to Mike and began to patch him up.
"What happened?" asked the ambulance.
"I don't know. I got gas on my hand and then it happened." Mike said.
"Gas? Do you have an allergy or illness?" the paramedic asked confused, and began to stop the bleeding.
"Yes he does. He had radiation sickness." Claire said.
"Radiation sickness? If that's true, I have to take you with me." The paramedic said, and wrapped a bandage around Mike's hand.
"Get up. We're taking her to the hospital." The paramedic said, helping Mike to stand up.
"All right. But she's coming with me." Mike said, pointing at Claire.
"Me?" Claire asked.
"If you don't want to, you don't have to." Mike said.
"I do. But your car." Claire said.
"Take the key and go to the hospital." Mike said while being ushered into the ambulance. Claire looked at the key, and then back at Mike. "I'll be there," Claire said.
"I'm waiting," Mike said.
The ambulance pulled away. Claire ran into the gas station, put a hundred dollars out of her own wallet on the register, ran back to Mike's VW Golf, and drove toward the regional hospital.
Natasha was sitting on the sofa next to Lincoln in the living room. Lincoln was playing on Natasha's MacBook Air. And she had the shader setting enabled. Lincoln was delighted. He looked at everything.
"Wow. It looks so beautiful." said Lincoln.
"I told you so. That's why I like to play games on MacBook Air. The game can look wonderful." said Natasha.
"Yes. My notebook upstairs can just about run simple games and it gets extremely hot. Why can't I hear a fan on your Mac?"
"Simple. It doesn't have a fan. Doesn't need it."
"Why?"
"That chip that's in there, the M1. It's very efficient. We could watch series for eighteen hours on one charge."
"Incredible. You always have something cool with you."
"Thanks. Lori told me you like comics."
"Yes, and you?"
"Nah. I prefer to play. If I read something, it's something about physics."
"Hey. That reminds me, there's the comic book show I'm going to with my best friend Clyde in a month. There are games there too. If you want to come?"
"I still have to look. But if I have time then I'll be happy to come with you." Natasha watched Lincoln a little. Then she asked him a question.
"Lori and Luna are in a relationship. Are any of your sisters in a relationship?" asked Natasha.
"Yes. Leni is in a long-distance relationship with a Scott from Scotland, and Luan is in a relationship with Benny Stein." said Lincoln.
"Oh yeah. And do you have someone?"
"Well, I don't have a girlfriend."
"Have you ever had one?"
"Well I kissed my best friend Ronnie Anne twice. The first time she boxed me."
"Cute, and kinky."
"Well, it's just Ronnie Anne."
They kept playing.
Mike is still waiting for the doctor. He's lying in bed wearing a bandage. Next to him in the hospital room, Claire is sitting on a chair. The two talked all the time.
"Thank you again for driving my car here." said Mike.
"I have to confess something to you, Mike." said Claire.
"Yes. What?"
"I'm not even allowed to drive."
"Excuse me? You can't drive a car."
"Yes. I never learned. I didn't want you to be alone though."
"You're a little crazy."
Claire smiled.
"I know." said Claire.
The door opened and the doctor came in.
"So Mr. Stevenson. I've been on the phone all over the country and I even ended up calling Moscow." said the doctor.
"Moscow?" asked Mike.
"Yes. Because your case is similar to that of Sasha Yuvchenko. I got access to medical records." said the doctor.
"Who was that man?" asked Claire.
"He was an employee of the Vladimir I. Lenin nuclear power plant. Also known as Chernobyl. He had survived the April 26 disaster. He too had symptoms similar to hers. But much more extreme, because you were also exposed to a much lower dose of radiation. However, Yuvchenko was not allowed to come into contact with gasoline. Otherwise things like this happen." said the doctor.
"Okay. What do the tests say?" asked Mike.
"Well, I've got good news. It seems her genetic makeup wasn't damaged in the incident. So if you want to have kids with your girlfriend, that's not a problem." said the doctor.
Mike and Claire blushed and looked at each other.
"We're not... He's not... Um, I mean..." Claire said.
"Exactly. She's not mine... So we're not..." Mike said.
"It doesn't matter. In any case, you can leave the hospital. However, you should be supervised. And in an emergency, call 911 immediately." said the doctor and left the room.
Mike and Claire got up. They left the hospital without a word and embarrassed. In the parking lot they spoke again.
"Does your daughter take care of you?" asked Claire.
"No. She's staying with a friend. I'd hate to call her about this." said Mike.
"Okay Mike. Then I have to take care of you." said Claire.
"No. You don't have to do that."
"Mike, I will. The doctor said someone should take care of you."
"Okay. But I'll drive."
The two got into the VW Golf and drove to the Stevensons' home.
Lori went to her closet. Now the time had come to practice with the K31 in the forest. She took the K31 out of the closet and put it in the gun case. Lori went to the door, looked around, and crept to the stairs. She could still hear Natasha and Lincoln playing in the living room. Lori crept down the stairs and stopped in the middle. It was just Lincoln and Natasha, both of whom were sitting in front of Natasha's MacBook Air.
"It's a lot of fun to play on the Mac." said Lincoln.
"Yes, if the games work on it," Natasha said.
The two were so focused on the game that they didn't notice Lori sneaking out. Lori got into Vanzilla. But she had forgotten something. She went behind the house where crates with empty soda cans stood. She took a few with her and drove towards the forest. When she got to the forest, she got out and put the beverage cans on a tree. Then Lori got her K31. She loaded the magazine, closed the bolt, and held her rifle. Lori remembered Hickhok saying something about holding that gun. It is said that holding it incorrectly can break your collarbone. Lori aimed the rifle again. She aimed at the soda cans and fired. The setback was huge. The soda can flew away and Lori couldn't remember where it was. She pulled back the straight-pull bolt, the case flew out, and slid the bolt shut. Lori aimed for the other soda can. She fired and the soda can flew away. Lori saw where she landed this time. Lori pulled the straight-pull bolt back again, the case flew out, and she slid the bolt shut. She shot the soda cans again. She fired her Lehr magazine, and then she secured the K31. She put the K31 back in the gun holster and retrieved the soda cans. Lori got in and disposed of it at a public disposal site on the way home. Then Lori drove home. The situation in the house was the same. Except for Luna playing her guitar in the upstairs hall. Luna saw Lori immediately. She stopped playing and approached Lori.
"What the hell did you do with that gun?" asked Luna quietly.
"I practiced in the forest. It's not forbidden." said Lori.
"Yes. But that's a gun. And you know I don't like it."
"Yes. But this was a present from Natasha."
"I like Natasha. But a gun as a present?"
"It's not just a gun. It's a gift and something nice in a way. I don't understand it myself."
"Well, the wood combined with the metal makes it kind of nice. But please, don't use it."
"I can't promise. It's a gift. But I'll see how I can respect your wish."
"That's all I wanted to hear sister." said Luna.
Lori nodded and went to her room. There she put the rifle in the cupboard and closed it. Lori's phone ringend. It says anonymous caller on the phone. Lori picks up.
"Hello? Who is this?" asked Lori.
"Yes, this is Jim Clarkson. Your lawyer. I don't have much time, I'm with my brother. He's a nuclear physicist, and an asshole. Anyway, Jack got your things. I want you to pick it up." said Clarkson.
"Good. I'm on my way."
"But there are conditions. First, no weapons. Second, Mr. Stevenson should come with you. Third, meet you at a highway cafe ten kilometers from Royal Woods."
"Why?"
"Why? Because Jack wants it that way. Do as he says. I have to hang up." Clarkson said, and the call ended.
Lori runs down the stairs.
"Hey Tasha. Come on, it's time." said Lori.
"I see. Lincoln, keep playing on my Mac. You'll have a lot of fun with it." said Natasha.
"Thanks Tasha." said Lincoln.
Lori and Natasha went to Lori's car.
"I always forget that I have my own car." said Lori.
"Not bad."
The two got in. Natasha had a little trouble, after all she was sitting in the passenger seat. Lori started the engine and drove off.
"Since when does Lincoln call you Tasha?" asked Lori.
"Ever since we were friends." said Natasha.
Lori pulled up in front of the Stevensons' house. Lori and Natasha got out and headed for the door. Lori rang the bell and then they were surprised when Claire opened the door.
"Oh, you must be Mike's daughter. And you must be your best friend. Hi, I'm Claire." Said Claire and held out her hand to Natasha.
Natasha shook it gently.
"Hi. What are you doing here?" asked Natasha.
"Oh, that's hard to explain. Mike! Come here!" Claire said.
Mike came to the door. Natasha immediately saw the bandage on his hand. Lori saw the bandage too.
"Oh god damn shit! What happened to you?" Natasha asked.
"Gas, radiation sickness, hospital. A long story. Luckily Claire was around." Mike said.
"Yes, speaking of Claire, how do you guys know each other?" asked Natasha.
"She works in block two." Mike said.
"Yes. Exactly." Claire said.
"I don't want to bother you, but Mike, we still need you at our house." Lori said. "Okay. I'll call you if I need your help Claire. Thanks for stopping by." Mike said. "You're welcome. Bye Mike." Claire said.
Shyly, Claire opened her arms and hugged Mike. He hugged her back. Then the two let go. Lori and Natasha saw Claire running towards the sidewalk, cheeks red. She waved at Mike and kept walking . Natasha looked at her father.
"Dad. What was that?" Natasha asked.
"I... Difficult to explain." Mike said.
"Okay. The gauges are ready. The three of us have to pick her up." Lori said.
"The three of us? Why?" Mike asked.
"Because they want it that way. You're coming with me." Lori said.
"Okay. I'll come with you." Mike said.
The three got into Lori's car and drove onto the freeway. After ten minutes, the three drive to the motorway service area and get out. They ran into the cafe and sat down at a table. But Mike got up.
"Wait here girls. I have to go to the bathroom." said mike. "Okay. We're waiting." said Natasha.
Mike entered the bathroom and went to the toilet. Then he heard two men enter. One left the tap on and washed himself. The other went to the urinal.
"Have you ever looked at the armrest on an airplane and seen the lid where the ashtray used to be? When I see something like that I think, Shit, what has become of this country." said the man at the urinal.
"Paternalistic state. If I see a child with a bicycle helmet, I would like to beat the shit out of him. Even if it were for the best." said the man at the sink.
The other ran to the sink and Mike heard him washing his hands. The two left the bathroom. Mike exited the restroom, washed his hands, and went back to Lori and Natasha, who were no longer alone. Mike sat down next to Lori, across from Jack and Kenny.
"I hope you two have everything we need." said Natasha.
"Yes. It was easy." said Jack.
"Exactly. Also found interesting things for us." said Kenny.
"For your collection?" said Lori.
"Exactly." said Jack.
Mike saw the tattoos on Jack's neck. A swastika and the symbol of the SS. What guys had his daughter got in touch with? Mike also recognized the voices. It was the two from the bathroom. Jack gave Natasha a list.
"Here. Everything on the list and more." said Jack.
"Even more?" asked Mike.
"Radiation protection containers, lead vests, and so on." said Kenny.
"Good. You deserve it." Natasha said, handing Jack the envelope with the bills.
Jack looked at the bills and smiled.
"Good. Then I'll give you the goods." said Jack, pointing to a covered trailer parked in a parking lot.
"Is that where the goods are?" asked Lori.
"Yes. Problems?" said Jack.
"No. My car has a trailer hitch." said Lori.
"Good. We're leaving. Have fun with it." said Kenny.
"Good." said Natasha. Jack and Kenny left the cafe and got into an old Mercedes in the parking lot.
"Tasha? What the hell were you thinking dealing with people like that?" asked Mike softly.
"I was looking for the best deal. And I found it. And we'll take the goods and go home." said Natasha softly.
Lori, Natasha and Mike got up and went to Lori's car. Only Lori got in and backed up to the trailer. Natasha coupled the trailer and connected the trailer's electronics. Natasha and Mike sat in the back seat. The mood was tense on the drive to Royal Woods. Then Mike spoke.
"Young lady, you screwed up a lot! Have you seen the damn swastikas they have tattooed on their necks? They must be gang members! Do you even know what such people are capable of?" said Mike angrily.
"Dad. I know that. Jack gave me this when we first met." said Natasha, and showed her father the left shoulder.
Mike saw the gunshot wound, which was visible as a large scar.
"He would have shot Lola. But I told him to shoot me. And that was the warning." said Natasha.
"What?" Mike asked incredulously.
"That's right, Mike. If Natasha hadn't been there, Lola wouldn't be with us anymore." said Lori.
Mike had to process it all. After a few minutes he was able to speak again.
"You two... I don't know what to say. I should be disappointed. But I made mistakes too. With those fuel assemblies." said Mike.
"Dad, after the accident it was said that the generator might have been tampered with. And we wanted to find the culprit. I let myself be shot for you." said Natasha.
"Tasha... Come here." said Mike, hugging Natasha.
"I love you dad." said Natasha.
"I love you too." said Mike.
Lori pulled into the driveway of the Stevensons' home. "Lori, drive to the back yard." said Mike.
"Why?" asked Lori.
"First, because it's easier to unload. Second, because not everyone needs to see what we have here."
"Okay. But I know if the grass will still be good afterwards."
Lori drove into the back yard. There she parked the car with the trailer. Lori, Natasha and Mike got out.
"We'll start building tomorrow." said Mike.
"What do we do now?" asked Natasha.
"Tasha, you're staying at Lori's as planned." said Mike.
"I can't do that. Someone has to look after you." said Natasha.
"I'm a male in my early forties. I know how to dial 911. Go with Lori."
"Okay take care." said Natasha.
"Bye Mike." said Lori.
Lori and Natasha unhitched the trailer from Lori's car and got in. As Lori pulled away, I headed towards the driveway, she noticed that her car was running much better now. She drove towards the Louds' house. Mike began searching the trailer. He looked at a meter for analyzing the gamma spectrum. It was the wrong model. But that wasn't bad, because Mike recognized that it was the successor model. Trade fair quality at official level. Much better than what Mike actually wanted. He recognized a sticker on the gauge. It was torn off but still partially legible. "Property of the US..." Mike thought about it and came to the conclusion that he, Natasha and Lori made a really sleazy deal. Mike looked at the Geiger counters. Those were good machines. They were the same Geiger counters the army uses. And then the lead plates. Thick, heavy, and good for blocking radiation. And finally there were yellow steel barrels, which were equipped with lead on the inside. The barrels were yellow, with the red radiation warning sign on the side. They were empty containers for low-level radioactive waste. There were three barrels in all. When this research is finished, all fuel rods are placed in the barrels. Mike was satisfied.
Lori and Natasha arrived at the Louds' house. They got out and went into the living room. Lincoln was still sitting on the sofa, playing on Natasha's MacBook Air.
"You still playing?" asked Natasha, looking at the screen.
"Yes. Soon I will defeat the ender dragon." said Lincoln.
"Have fun. The End Dimension looks awesome with the shader active." said Natasha.
"Didn't Mom and Dad tell you it was bedtime?" asked Lori. Lincoln looked around. Then he looked at the window, where it was already getting dark.
"Already so late?" asked Lincoln.
Natasha started laughing.
"Save the world and go to sleep. You can play again tomorrow." said Natasha.
"Good idea. Good night Lori. Good night Tasha." said Lincoln, and went up the stairs to his room.
"Getting late." said Lori.
"Yes. Let's go to sleep." said Natasha.
Lori went to her room. Natasha went into the bathroom in her pajamas and changed. Natasha went back into the living room, lay down on the sofa, and fell asleep.
