now on to the story
Last time
The next morning
Bumblebee started to come out of stasis "i… did what i could." ratchet said
"Our scout could not have been in better hands, old friend." optimus said putting a hand on ratchet shoulder.
"We didn't stick with plan A and let ratchet donate his cog, why?" miko ask
"Bumblebee wouldn't Accept it." i replied,
bumblebee got up and started moving "bumblebee please recovery take time." he tried to transform it didn't work the first time "the damage was severe." he tried again a second time and didn't work but suddenly he transformed and we all excited
"RAF hop in where do you want to go." bee buzzed
Raf ran over the bee "anywhere, just drive." he had as he jumped in
"Go easy." ratchet said well laughing "adhere to standard break in procedure."
"Whoa bee t-cog look bad." bulkhead said
"And old doc was able to fix it." Arcee said
"That the only thing ratchet was able to fix today." optimus said
"Do you have any word on that information you got from MECH?" optimus asked
"No the joe's said they have the information tomorrow." i replied
"You did a great job today." optimus said
I smiled "thanks optimus, but all i did was help bumblebee today." i replied
Back to the story
I kept on pacing back and forth "dude calm down, i've never seen you so excited." miko said with the bots watching me.
"How would you feel if you saw your father for the first time in the years." i replied
Miko could understand that "I would be jumping off the walls." she said
"That's how I feel about my master." I replied "don't get me wrong, my master was hard and cold but he was my first father figure and the closest thing I have to dad, but unicron is not as bad as he portrays.
Miko was a little bit confused. "What about snake eyes."
I gave a small smile "I never had much of a connection with snake eyes, he's more like an older brother that I highly respect."
"PRIME!" Agent Fowler yelled "what in blazes are your people doing out here, we had an agreement no collateral damage."
We all were confused. "I am sorry Agent Fowler but all autobots are present and accounted for." Optimus replied
"Then explain why I'm receiving reports of two jumbo size bot's mixing it up twenty miles outside Omaha." Agent Fowler said
"Could it be in-fighting." Arcee said "megatron can't seem to keep his ranks inline."
"Well I just arrived on the scene." fowler replied he show us a bot in blue and gold behind a crashed ship "have a look?" showing two cybertronian was in a firefight.
"I don't know, paint job aside, it can't be skyquake." bulkhead said "you and optimus pounded him into the ground.
"Before starscream yanked him back out and turned as some kind of undead terra con."
"It's a con name dreadwing." i said, everyone looked at me.
"Do you know him jack?" arcee asked
"I should, he practically raised me." i replied
"But the question still stands, who's the dance partner?" arcee asked fowler camera shifted over and showed the jackhammer and show me and bulkhead knew all too well
"Jackie's back!" bulkhead yelled
"I don't care if Abraham Lincoln is back, we need to constrain the station before we end up on the eleven clock news!" Fowler yelled
Ratchet opened a ground bridge and the bots ran thru it and i followed
When we got through it was a war zone master and wheeljack was firing at each other.
I flow ahead of everyone and get in the way of the fighting "enough!" i yelled
"Musuko move aside now." Master order.
"Kid move it, your teacher needs to answer for what he did." wheeljack said
I was confused "wait a minute, i'm confused what happened." i said
"Your beloved Master, intercepted and killed a wrecker kid." wheeljack said
"I did no such thing, such a tactic is of a coward." Master said
"Liar! it was one of your bombs that killed sea spray." wheeljack yelled
"Yes it was one of my bombs but as I have been trying to tell you one of my weapons caches was raided and some of my weapons and energon was stolen." master said
Wheeljack scoffed "likely story to cover your own aft."
Master got mad but pulled out a phone "I do not speak lies wheeljack, I have proof." and he pulled a holovid and showed a door blow apart and a bot walking in before he destroyed the camera's "that was taken before your friend was killed, i was close when i got the alert and ive been trying to track him down and i followed him here to this ball of dirt."
With the fighting over I flew over and landed on master "Hey, this ball of dirt is my home, remember." I smiled and it was a true smile i flow up to his shoulder and landed on it.
Arcee walked forward "wait your master is a decepticon and your friend, you two are acting like it doesn't matter, jack how can you treat him like family."
"Some years ago it wasn't Arcee." I replied "Master dreadwing is the closest thing to family I have." i said
"Speaking of family, the reason I came here, I felt a part of my spark extinguish why." master asked
I looked down and answered "I felt it too Master and I do know why."
"Why Sabaku no hebi?" Master said
I looked at bumblebee and Optimus "Master, Starscream woke him up from his statis and demanded that he bow to starscream."
Wheeljack scoffed "like that would never happen."
"You're right my brother would never do something like that." dreadwing replied "going on with your story Sabaku no hebi."
"The autobots showed up because they detected energon and they got into a fight and …" I paused for a minute.
"And what Sabaku no hebi." Master said.
"After a long fight with optimus and bumblebee skyquake… die in battle." I said looking at the ground "Optimus and Bumblebee gave him a warrior's grave and let him rest in peace."
After a while the Master spoke up "then why do i feel his spark again."
"I feel it to master too and once again it has to do with starscream"I said holding my chest "He brought uncle skyquake back to life and the only reason skyquake isn't at peace again but he is in a place i can't reach."
Master was quiet for a minute "why is the one that rose him from the grave still alive." he asked with anger in his voice.
"the only reason he's still alive." I replied holding back my anger but wheeljack and Master could almost feel it "I needed his information for a mission but I didn't leave him unscathed."
Suddenly a new ground bridge and the Decepticons walked out with Megatron out in the front "well well look at this." All the autobots pointed their guns at the cons "peace autobots we're here to do something more destructive than fight you." Megatron said with a shark-like grin "Sabaku no hebi the way I see it, you have two options, join your master and betray the autobots or stay with the autobots and betray your master the bot that raised you."
I looked from my master to the autobots and apart of me knew this was coming at some point but it was still an impossible decision. My master broke my train of thought "that is an impossible decision, so I will make my student decision easier to make, student." my master said as I faced him "as i told you when I started training you, your life is your's to walk alone, i am your guide and no matter what i will always be proud of you."
I looked back at the ground "I'm sorry…" I said softly "I would do anything to fight alongside you master." i look at megatron "but i will not fight for megatron
"I don't know which one is worst." Airachnid said standing next to megatron "that dreadwing trained an insect or that your teacher never taught you loyalty jack you must have been a terrible student ."
wheeljack and dreadwing slapped their forehead "oh on." they said at the same time "you made two deadly." Master said "your first mistake was calling Sabaku no hebi the Shinigami shadow an insect." Master said and wheeljack picked up "your second was disrespected his Master that something i wouldn't do."
the anger I was holding back broke and I put my Shinigami mask on and flipped off my master's shoulder and when I hit the ground I made a crater and the earth formed into armor and shot off like a rocket toward the spider in about two minutes Airachnid was missing all her spider legs her armor was cut up and parts of it was ripped off i stopped in front of her a pulled out a kunai and throw it her hand hitting her square in between the eye's.
"She still live, I'm surprised." wheeljack said
I stopped in front of her "mock me fine, mock Master you won't live long enough to regret it." I said next to me I heard the spark of knockout taser staff "put it away knockout or i'll scratch your paint job."
"What about me jack." Megatron said, pointing his gun at me.
I smirked "look over your shoulder." he did and unicron was standing behind him along with three clones pointing their swords and maces at breakdown and knockout and a few other troopers, megatron weighed his options and comm soundwave to open a ground bridge "here allow me." I said, pulled her arm up and spun her around me and threw her through the open ground bridge slowly, the cons walked through the ground bridge.
"Unicron." Optimus said "I demand you stop influencing jack."
Unicorn laughed "Oh dear follower of primus, I don't need to put evil notions in his head, the one already there are company enough till we meet again." than he turned back to rocks
I turned to master dreadwing "Master i've got to ask will you join us please." i asked
He looked at me than to wheeljack. "No, my Musuko, I have to find the one that broke into my weapon cash and I will not join the autobots till we meet again my student."
With that said I could not change his mind "till we meet again Master, Come on wheeljack, Ratchet needs to get your shoulder looked at." I said, a ground bridge opened and we walked through it and I went to the roof.
Arcee wanted to follow but wheeljack stopped her "i wouldn't if i was you." Wheeljack said "he just had to make an impossible decision, one that will be eating at his guts for weeks."
"Why didn't he tell us?" Arcee asked
"He did it to protect the one that raised him." Wheeljack said everyone looked at each other "Thanks for the save commander." wheeljack "but me and the corporal could have handled the situation."
"What are you doing here, wheeljack?" bulkhead asked "I thought you were looking for other autobots refuges."
"I was and I found one, a wrecker." wheeljack said
"Who." bulkhead asked
"Sea spray." wheeljack
Bulkhead got a laugh out that "old barnacles butt how is he doing?"
"Not too well bulk." Wheeljack replied "blew to bits in fact." bulkhead was shocked by that y flier the jackhammer picked up sea spray signal a couple light-years outside Maderin, we made contact and arranged the rendezvous in the dramaon system but lockdown must have intercepted the transmission got there first, I've gone after drendwing ever since should have guess he would come to this blue marble."
"Did you say lockdown." Ratchet asked
"Yeah." Wheeljack replied "drendwing even showed me and the corporal a video of his cash being robbed."
"You seriously can't believe a con." Arcee said "that video could have been doctored."
"No." Ratchet said gravely "lockdown breaking into a cash and using others tech is something he would do."
"You heard of lockdown ratchet?" Optimus asked
"Yes." Ratchet replied "he killed a friend of mine just because, she had some upgrade that he wanted."
"Is he an autobot or a decepticon?" Miko asked
"Either, he's a bounty hunter that only works for credits or energons." Ratchet replied
"Then what's he doing on earth then?" Raf asked
I don't know, kid." Wheeljack replied
"In the meantime." Optimus said "while you're here on earth you should follow my lend."
"Commander with all due respect see this mark." wheeljack said showing his Arashikage tattoo "this means I'm a part of a clan while I'm here on earth and if I did anything to disgrace that clan the old lady would have my head or worse send the shadow after me."
"Jack would go after you." miko said "but you all seem so close."
"Make no mistake kid." Wheeljack replied "me and the kid are close almost like brothers close but once the old lady gives the command, he wouldn't have a choice but to follow the order."
"Where's optimus." miko asked in surprise, for a bot so large he gets around very quietly either that or her hearing is failing.
"I don't know." Ratchet replied, looking around for his old friend "let's look on the monitors." He said looking at the computer and found him up and the roof fighting with Jack with wooden sticks.
A few minutes before
I was watching the sunset with thoughts rolling through his head.
Optimus walked up behind him and Jack didn't even notice "I know your head is in the cloud so what is on your mind." he said
"Please optimus not today." I replied "I just gave up the one person I cared about for this team just give me some time." the next thing I knew a shinai dropped next to my feet I looked up at Optimus and he was in his truck form and his holoform was next to the truck.
"Your baa-chan told me to spare with you when your master returned." Optimus said
"You knew this would happen?" I asked
"Of course." I replied "before I give you the key of victor sigma I ground bridge to your home and your baa-chan told me everything but I wanted you to tell us but she told me that you wouldn't completely trust us but if you were loyal to us you would stay loyal but that's not would now your mind is it?" He said as we got into a fighting stance.
"No." I said "master told me to be true to myself and with him what I'm trying to figure out is why is lockdown planet side." I said blocking Optimus swing "and how did MECH know where to look to take bee t-cog."
"And what have you figured out." Optimus asked kick out to break the knock me off balance but I slipped under it and cut his arm.
"MARS is a weapon manufacture but they are not very good at robotics so someone is helping them." I replied Optimus kicked me back and hit my sword arm but I kept it even if it hurt "I just don't know where."
"Sorry to break this up." A new voice said we turned around and team prime standing there but it was miko that spoke up "but the joes was able to decode the files you got from MECH."
"Great." I said "maybe that will shade some light onto the subject." Dropping my stance but blocked a sword swing from Optimus "nice try Optimus master would do that all the time."
I walked past team prime "so your master is a con?" Miko asked
"Yeah." I replied, "I'm proud to be his student."
"You're proud to be the student of a con." Arcee said
I looked back at her, "I'm proud to be the student of the mech that could go toe to toe with Optimus." I said "the Arashikage respects strength and honor, Megatron has strength but no honor." I left her to think and went to the command center and read over the information.
"What does it say jack." miko asked
"The joes were able to decode the information." i replied "and i was right, MECH is getting outside support from the tech company called KSI." i said
"Ive heard of that Kinetic Solutions Incorporated." raf said
"So fowler told KSI about the bots and now they are building their own." miko said
"No." i replied "agent fowler is a part of homeland security and the information says a group called cemetery wind that's been collecting the vehicons bodies after your battles and MARS and KSI are working together to build an army of bot's but they haven't got a working prototype yet but they are close."
"If they have a vehicons then why did they need my t-cog." bumblebee asked
"I don't know bee maybe having something dosen't bring understanding." i replied
"You can understand him." raf asked
I pulled back my hair and behind my ear was a device. I taped the device "when i was injured during my bomb training, my hearing was damaged as well so my master gave me hearing back via a universal translator."
"I don't believe you." Arcee whispered in Cybertronian.
"It also gives me better hearing than most." I said replying in perfect Cybertronian, everyone looked at me confused "what." i replied "master taught me Cybertronian and after that he would only use Cybertronian to teach me. After that if I missed something he wouldn't repeat himself so I would have to figure it out on my own." I kept reading and a name came up that I knew "oh crap."
"What is it jack." Arcee asked
"Two words, Harold Attinger." I replied
"Who's that?" Miko asked
"A guy that I avoid like the plague, he is passionate and paranoid and he has been against the JOES since the very beginning." I replied "but the worst part is he is a CAI agent so I can't touch him."
"Ok let's get on point." Miko said "have raf heck into KIS and delete the information."
"No." I replied "KSI is a tech company and is built like a fortress and so their firewall and I've met the CEO once and he is a prick but unfortunately he's a genius."
"So what are we going to do?" Miko asked
"We are not going to do anything, I'm ground bridging to KIS but that can wait for now." I replied I looked over my shoulder and Fowler was standing pointing his gun at me "really agent Fowler."
"I just found out your master is a con which means your loyalty is in question." He said
In a flash I hit his hand and knocked the gun out of his hand and pushed him back and swiftly popped the clip and emptied the chamber caught the bullet in mid air than throw the gun back to him "you'll have to do better than that agent." Fowler started getting closer but wheeljack put a hand in the way blocking Fowler path.
"Move cowboy, i still got a bone to pick with you too." Fowler said
"I think not tiny." Wheeljack said "I'm keeping you from doing something really dumb, I know the kid's master and I know for a fact the kid could rip you apart in a minute."
"And You." Fowler said still mad "your cowboy antects almost blew our cover."
"Cover." Wheeljack asked confused
"We were robots in disguise." bulkhead replied
"You mean this government doesn't know about us?" Wheeljack asked
"No." I replied "the US government wants you to stay hidden, It's a good thing you already have an earth based vehicle form."
"That ship you shot down." Fowler said "NOT earth based I had to jump throw some pretty big hoop to get it hauled away out of site, you need to keep a tighter leash on your people prime."
"A tighter Leash." Wheeljack repeated "you me clarify tiny I'm not one optimus prime's people, I'm a Arashikage ninja same as the kid which means a lot more than you know." Than he walked away and bulkhead followed him
"So the new guy has a problem with authority." Fowler said
"Wheeljack and bulkhead served in the wreckers and group than operated outside the normal chain of command." Optimus explain
"Black ops hun." Fowler said
"That one way to put it." I said
"They accepted mission others would not and many would not return." Optimus finished
I walked up to Fowler "when I came to me and my master." i said "I gave him up for this team and I will NEVER join Megatron." I watched as wheeljack flew off and dropped my head and rubbed my nose "oh great."
"What is he doing." Fowler said
"I don't know Fowler." I replied
With wheeljack and bulkhead
"Jackie…" bulkhead said "even if we wanted to fight the con we can't fight the cons were outnumbered."
"Roadbuster, Impactor, Whirl and now seaspray all dust." Wheeljack said
"That's what I'm talking about wreckers are autobots there just not a lot of whole lot of us left" bulkhead said "but if back Optimus we can end this war once and for all."
Guys like Optimus talk a good game but when go to scrap they don't want to get there hands dirty." Wheeljack said
"You don't know Optimus like I do, being a wrecker meant everything to me." Bulkhead said "but I left that behind."
"Because Optimus is the real deal "wheeljack said "What about the kid, You treat Jack like he's a monster but you can't understand all he's been through and what he's given up today." Wheeljack said
"He has lied to us and now we find his master was a con." Bulkhead replied
"Did he?" Wheeljack said "or were you not listening." Than his comm started beeping
"Wheeljack." A voice it sounded like dreadwing but it sounded a little "I know your out there listening, I have proposition for you."
"Is that?" Bulkhead said
"Dreadwing but he sounds off." Wheeljack said
"Meet me at these coordinates." Dreadwing said "if you have the spark."
"I'll see you there, what about the kid?" Wheeljack asked.
"Leave him."dreadwing said "he's not trained enough for a bot." Then he turned off the comm.
"That's not dreadwing." Wheeljack said
"What do you mean?" Bulkhead asked
"Dreadwing would never keep the kid out of a fight even when if he was untrained." Wheeljack said get ready to leave.
"You mean he would let him fight a con even if was young." Bulkhead said
"All the time." Wheeljack said "he would fight dreadwing all the time and dreadwing would not hold back, dreadwing believed if Jack wanted to fight he would train him to be the best, today Jack gave the first person that cared for him."
"You know this is a trap right." Bulkhead said
"I know." Wheeljack replied "but when has that stopped us, you coming."
"At least let me call for backup."
"You know wrecker don't call for back." Wheeljack started and they both finished "they call for clean up." Then they shot off together
Inside the base
"Jack." Optimus spoke up "do you have any idea where they could be going."
"Honestly, I don't have a clue." I replied as I pulled out a phone that was gold and silver phone "but that doesn't mean I can't find out." a holovid pulled up and they were going north and they were still going. I tried calling him but he wouldn't answer "why i'm not surprised." i said under my breath
The team couldn't track wheeljack but they could track bulkhead and ratchet opened a groundbridge and Optimus ran through it "please be safe." i said
On the other side.
Optimus found wheeljack in a rockslide and started digging him out "what took you so long bulk hell even the kid could have digged me out faster don't tell me running with prime made you soft."
Optimus held out his hand and helped him up "if you will not take orders for me that is one thing but when you place one of my autobots in danger."
"With all due respect sir." Wheeljack interrupted Optimus "bulkhead knew the risk every wrecker does, I'm sure he here somewhere.
"Optimus." ratchet over the comm "bulkhead signal has moved from your current position."
Wheeljack started walking to his ship "you coming." He said with Optimus following
When they got to the ship wheeljack took off too bulkhead's new location the ship was a little too small for the big bot "you and bulkhead share quite the history and yet you prefer to work alone." Optimus said
"The wreckers scattered a long time ago and alone usually lease complicated, the kid understands."
"How?" Optimus simply asked
"The kid was an outcast in his clan, they blamed him for his brothers death." Wheeljack replied "before dreadwing and I crashed landed, his clan took us in and heal us but after that they stayed as far away from us as possible except for the kid, he walked right up to us and gotta knew us and dreadwing took him under his wing trained him how to fight and how to live honorably and all that stuff."
they followed bulkhead signal to a loading dock.
"We are close to the civilian population, remember." Optimus started.
"Yeah, yeah I know, keep hidden and all that stuff." Wheeljack said "our boy is just up ahead.
They kept on walking with optimus keeping a lookout and when they found him he was strapped to some cargo containers with a bomb on his chest counting down "um hey guys."
