Katsuki had been struggling. He didn't have a quirk anymore. He was worthless now. He had no purpose. No chance of becoming a hero anymore. With thoughts like that floating through his head, it would come to nobody's surprise that he hadn't done much with himself in the few weeks since what he liked to call the event had taken place. He ate, of course, but he didn't move much from his bed. He barely showered. There were times when the old hag had tried to get him out of bed. Normally, Katsuki would have fought back against his mom, but there was no real fight in him anymore. His mom had given up at that point, not knowing what to do anymore.

Katsuki didn't know what to do either. Most of the time, he felt no motivation to do anything. Doctors had diagnosed him with depression, but he wasn't sad. He was just… empty. He had told them as much, but they still went ahead with the diagnosis. He had been prescribed medication, but he never took it.

None of this was his fault. Why had this happened to him? It was that stupid Deku's fault.

Wait…

"Deku…" Katsuki whispered. His throat was dry. His voice crackled. He hadn't spoken in a long time. "He was there…"

An idea formed in his mind for the first time in weeks. Motivation. He slowly got up from his bed and began to get dressed. After a few minutes — he wasn't used to standing very much recently — he opened his door and began to walk towards the door.

"I'm worried about him, Masaru." He heard his mother's voice say. "This isn't anything like him."

"I know." His dad replied. "He lost his quirk. I'm still not sure how. He hasn't spoken to us about what happened. We just have to be here to support him."

At that point, Katsuki turned around the corner. He saw his parents sitting on the couch holding each other.

"Katsuki!" His mom said when she saw him. "You're up." She smiled warmly. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?"

Katsuki shook his head. "I'm going out. I'll be back later." He passed the two of them and made his way to the door.

"Oh, alright." Mitsuki said. "We love you."

A few seconds of silence passed as Katsuki had grabbed the door handle. "I love you too." He said, opening the door and leaving the building.

The trip to Tokyo wasn't as long as he thought it would be. The train was fast, and he was able to space out for the most part until he got to his stop in the Minato district. Just a few minutes of walking led him to his destination: the head office of the Hero Public Safety Commission.

"Welcome. Do you have an appointment?" A man asked from the desk as Katsuki walked in. The foyer was massive. Many rows of chairs, two grand staircases, large windows, and a ceiling that was at least twelve meters from the floor. About half of the chairs in the room were filled.

"I… I didn't, but I wanted to talk to someone." Katsuki started. "I have information that could help. I know there's no appointment, but I think it's important enough to warrant something." He explained.

"What kind of information?" The man asked with a raised eyebrow.

Katsuki approached the desk and whispered. "I know the identity of the leader of the vigilante group Societas Requiem."

The attendant's face blanched. "Oh… that is quite the information. Let me make some calls. What was your name?" He scrambled with his phone.

"Katsuki Bakugo." He replied.

The secretary, true to his word, made a few calls. After a few minutes of waiting, he called out. "Katsuki Bakugo, Madame President will see you now."

"Hey!" A man said from the crowd. "I was supposed to be her next meeting!"

"I'm sorry, sir. Important information is at stake here." The secretary said as he led Katsuki out of the foyer. "You're going to get into these elevators at the end of the hallway here and take them to the top floor. Once there, it will be the third room on the left. She's expecting you."

Katsuki did as instructed. The elevator ride was surprisingly short given the height of the building. Once he had reached the top floor, it was just a few steps until he made his way to the instructed door. He knocked.

"Come in." He heard a woman's voice say from the other side of the door.

Opening the door, he stepped inside. It was a rather small office all things considered. Standing behind the desk and looking out the window was an older woman. She turned around and smiled at him. "Katsuki Bakugo, yes?" She asked.

"Y-Yes, ma'am."

"Oh, please. Call me Shikage. That's my family name." She gestured to the couch that was in front of her desk and sat down. "Now, from what I hear, you have some information for me. Why don't we talk about that?"

An hour later, Katsuki left her office. Shikage smiled. "Izuku Midoriya…" She thought. "I already have the Orchestra after them, but if all else fails, this is a great safeguard."

She cycled through the records she had found of the kid. "Sixteen years old. Green hair and diamond-shaped freckles. Overall unremarkable appearance. Quite the amount of accolades, though. Three mixed martial arts awards from various competitions growing up. His quirk is Luck… Hmm… It just ames him more lucky? Seems alright." She clicked to the next file. "Alright, an official application to UA is on our servers. Rejected. That must be the reason he chose to become a vigilante." She scoffed. "Stupid kid. There are other hero schools besides UA. Nezu is the strictest when it comes to acceptance. The rat is good for something, at least. Keeping too many unworthy heroes off of the street. Of course, that leads to people like this."

A ring of her phone tore her attention away from her computer. She picked it up.

"Madame President, your next appointment is ready." Her secretary's voice said from the other end.

"Send him in. And be sure to have someone keeping an eye on young Bakugo. Keep eyes out for Snake Eyes. I'll be sending out a description of him from what I got from the kid to some of our operatives. Nobody is to engage unless the Orchestra falls apart." Shikage instructed.

"Yes ma'am. I'm sending up your next appointment now."

A few minutes passed before there was a knock at her door. After being told to enter, a man in his mid thirties came in. "Madame President." He bowed.

"You said you had news?" She asked.

"Yes, ma'am. My researchers have analyzed the Trigger drug. We believe we have found the chemical composition and can recreate it." He explained.

"That is certainly good news. Go on." Shikage's small smile became a slightly manic grin as the man spoke. "Today has been one good thing after another. Everything is falling into place. Wonderful."

Onga was excited. He and his group hadn't had a real mission in a while. He and his group had mainly been touring. What luck it was that his tour had just so happened to end right before he was called in by Shikage.

"Boss, what are our plans?" A man named Shironpu asked.

"We have some research to do. I know it's been a while since our last mission, but we're fighting some obviously skilled fighters. We have access to footage that will help us learn their skillsets. We have a lot of work to do before we make our official statement of challenge."

"It looks like the one named NightHawk is their primary attacker. Whatever his quirk is, it's powerful." One of his subordinates said.

"They have a sniper that shoots some sort of adhesive round." Another said.

They continued to spout off observations about their new target, falling back into the rhythm of actual hero work easily. A week or two of this to really nail everything down, and they'd be ready to go.

Onga was ready for his next performance. If he was being honest, he had missed some of this work. He had missed the euphoria that was performing in this way. With basically a kill order on this group, he could really unlock the chains on himself.

He held a façade for his fans, but if he could truly let loose… "The thrill of opening night…" His face slowly contorted into a wide, almost unnatural smile.

"So… This is where the famous Societas Requiem spends their time." Setsuna said as she and Eijirou walked into the warehouse and had their head coverings taken off. "The things I've read are nowhere close to accurate."

"You've read things?" Heartquake asked. They all had their masks on still.

"Well yeah. The internet has been raving about you guys. After that first news broadcast hijacking, you guys have become famous." Setsuna said.

"There haven't been any true updates from you since then." Eijirou said. "I didn't know you had two more people in your group."

"Four, actually." Snake Eyes said.

"Four? Who else joined?" Eijirou asked. He looked around the open room, past all seven people in front of the two of them.

"I think he might be referring to us." Setsuna said.

"Us?!" Eijirou asked, surprised.

"She is correct." Snake Eyes said. "Over the last three weeks, you two have gone about your schooling and only contacted Nezu about the information we gave you; even the fact that we have talked in the first place was not divulged."

"I mean, that's true, but how do you know that?" Eijirou asked.

"As if they'd send us off without a form of surveillance." Setsuna said, stepping further into the building. "Yeah, everything is really far off the mark online. The fanfiction writers are reaching when they describe this place."

"Hold up, hold up. Fanfiction writers?" Heartquake asked.

"You're famous enough." Setsuna shrugged. "The most notable one was from an account named 'INeedSleep'. That one has several of them."

"How do you know this?" Dragon asked.

Setsuna shrugged again. "After knowing I could possibly be a part of you guys, I wanted to do as much research as possible on you guys." She said nonchalantly.

"..." Heartquake took a deep breath. "In any case, that's something we'll need to check out later. Aside from that-" She said.

"Welcome to the team." Snake Eyes said. "Your reward for your loyalty." He said, taking the mask off of him.

"Wait, what am I looking at?" Eijirou asked. "You're the guy from before! Oda!"

"Guilty, although that's not my real name. My real name is Izuku Midoriya. You obviously know my name on the job, but you can just call me Izuku." Izuku said.

"Addressing you by your first name already? My my, Izuku. Coming off a little strong, aren't we?" Setsuna teased.

"Step off." Heartquake stepped forward with a growl, taking her mask off. "He's my boyfriend."

"Ohoh~" Setsuna giggled. "I'm not encroaching on your territory. Just teasing him. Gotta remind them sometimes." She winked.

Heartquake laughed. "I like you. Kyouka Jirou." She offered her hand for Setsuna to shake.

Setsuna took her hand and shook it.

Izuku looked at Eijirou. "Remind them of what?"

"Dude, I have no idea." Eijirou shrugged.

"Moving on!" Kyouka interjected. "This is Mei Hatsume, Hitoshi Shinsou, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Himiko Toga." Kyouka said, pointing to each person. At their name, the group member took off their mask. "You already know Shouto."

"So…" Eijirou said. "Why lie to me about being Oda?"

"I can't exactly walk around with my true identity on display. I'm a vigilante, after all." Izuku explained.

"That's… That's fair. I guess." Eijirou said.

"Well, now that that's out of the way, we have to move onto our next order of business." Izuku explained, turning around to look at the rest of the interior of the building.

"Hell yeah, our new awesome vigilante suits!" Setsuna said.

"Nope." Izuku replied.

"Our names?" Eijirou asked.

"No." Izuku shook his head.

"Well then what is it?" Setsuna asked, looking at Eijirou, confused.

"We need to figure out where the hell you're going to sleep." Izuku said.

"Wait, you don't already have that lined up?" Setsuna asked.

"Of course not!" Mei said with a laugh. "Why do you think we called you out this early on a Sunday morning? It's so you can help with the construction. If you wanted a free room, you should have joined earlier."

"Wait, did Todoroki have to build his room?" Setsuna asked.

"When we're here, you can call me Shouto. And no, I did not. Mei and Hitoshi moved in together whenever I joined." Shouto responded.

"And Kyouka and Izuku moved in together whenever I joined!" Himiko added.

"I think building my own room is gonna be really manly." Eijirou said with a wide grin. He grabbed his bicep while flexing. "Where's it going?"

"That." Izuku said, pointing at Eijirou. "Is a very good question. If we build more rooms where the training area is, that's gonna get smaller." He mused.

"We hardly use half of that space anyway, Izuku." Shouto said.

"Yeah, well what if other people wanna use it when we're sparring?" Izuku asked.

"Nobody wants to be on the mats whenever we are, Izuku." Shouto replied.

"You guys can be scary, even without your quirks." Mei agreed.

"Fine, we can downsize the training area." Izuku sighed.

"Hey, Fumikage." Hitoshi addressed him. "Do we still have any bricks and mortar?"

"Yes. It was sealed from outside influence months ago." Fumikage nodded.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" Eijirou said, grinning. "Let's get to work!"

Eijirou and Fumikage both grabbed the tools that Fumikage had used months prior and got to work, dragging Setsuna along with them, much to her grumbling. Izuku, Himiko, and Kyouka joined them to help. Mei and Hitoshi, unexpectedly, were working more on Babies.

A few hours and a lunch break later, two new rooms of about the same size as the others that had been constructed.

"Hero work is one thing, but physical labor?" Setsuna asked no one. "That's a lot more tiring."

"Yeah, but it makes you feel good when it's done." Eijirou said.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Setsuna waved her hand as a dismissal. "What's next for us?"

"That'll be your names and suits." Izuku replied. "So take some time to think about that stuff, and we'll get back to that tomorrow or the day after."

"Why wait so long?" Setsuna asked.

"You… weren't at the Overhaul raid." Hitoshi said, hanging his head.

"We're not exactly itching to get back out there right now." Mei said.

Izuku looked at Kyouka and Hitoshi, both of whom had hung their heads. Hitoshi clenched his fists, closed his eyes, and was shaking slightly. Kyouka, on the other hand, was still shaking, but her eyes were wide and her breath shallow. Izuku put his hand on her back, snapping her out of her stupor. She smiled at him, but the smile didn't meet her eyes. "We're trying to take some time for ourselves after that. We haven't really done that too much since starting here."

"I see." Setsuna nodded. "Makes sense… Well what do we do until then?" She asked.

"I guess just… relax for a bit. Get used to being here, get used to the people." Izuku said. "We're taking some time for ourselves. Do the same."

A yawn cut through the relatively quiet atmosphere. "Hi…" A young girl said sleepily.

"Hello, Eri." Izuku smiled warmly. "I have some people for you to meet. Meet Eijirou and Setsuna."

Eri looked at the two of them, still sleepy, and waved lazily. The two new members of the group introduced themselves to the girl, and both of them found it difficult to not fawn over her.

Inko was frustrated. Months ago, the villain Blackout had tried to get what was in the hospital vault. She didn't succeed, but that was still her goal. The biggest question was… Why?

In the months after she discovered that her son was not in America with the Jirous, and that he was, in fact, a vigilante that saved both her and whatever was in this vault, she never got to find out what was actually in the vault. She didn't have enough clearance within the ranks of the hospital, and admittedly, her worry over her son did distract her from her work, so a promotion wasn't exactly on the horizon anytime soon.

So how was she going to find out what was in the vault?

She had no idea.

But there was hope.

She did have an idea about who would know.

The only problem with who that was… well, not the only problem but a number of problems was that he had been arrested, first of all. Then there was the fact that the last time she talked to him, she had gone off on him over his actions and made it clear, at least in her mind, that she didn't want to talk to him again.

And then there was the fact that having any meeting after that first one — once the government had found out they were married, the paperwork was minimal — required at least a week's worth of paperwork, red tape, and bureaucracy before anything could actually be talked about. And that was if you were lucky.

So here Inko sat, filling out paperwork because of course she was. The sigh that escaped her lips was unintentional, but it did escape them nonetheless. This was all so complicated. Something was in that vault, and if it was that important that someone with knowledge of what it was worth raiding an entire hospital, she needed to know. She needed to let her son know. Depending on what it was, she might need all of Japan to know.

She sighed again and put her pen down after signing the last line.

Now all she could do was wait.
