Mama Mirajane-43
~Brother Complex~
"It was coming from this direction." Scythe said, walking down the street with Wendy by his side.
"I can't seem to sense where the magic energy is coming from anymore." Wendy stated, looking around the area.
Scythe and Wendy had been going on with their latest mission for about an hour now, and so far they've managed to track down two separate magical signatures, one of them leading them to their current position.
In order to not draw any more attention to them, than Scythe's scars or their hair would already draw, they were dressed in casual clothes that were common in that area. Scythe wore a black zip up hoodie, with blue jeans, a white shirt, and a simple pair of sneakers, while Wendy just wore a spaghetti strap crop top with low riding jeans, and elevated heeled sandals with straps around the ankles.
"The trail goes cold around this area." Scythe sighed, as a black van went driving past them.
"A medical checkup?" A voice called back.
Wendy and Scythe looked back to see a young man in front of his school, wearing its uniform, on his phone with someone on the other end.
"What kind of check-up pulls you out of school in a black van?" He questioned.
"Sounds like something serious." Scythe exclaimed.
"Scythe?" Wendy asked.
"On it." Scythe said.
Crouching down, and taking a runners start, Scythe went running after the van, catching up with it in seconds, before stopping in front of it, and covering his body in solid metal. Before the driver of the van could even slow down, he crashed into Scythe, not even moving him an in, but literally wrapped the front end of the vehicle around him. Pushing himself out of the ruined front of the vehicle, Scythe went to the driver's side of the van, but before he could grab the handle, the door burst open, and he was forced to catch a fist flying at him. He pushed the clenched fist away, and jumped back, deciding to eye his opponent.
Scythe's eyes widened, when he saw a ginger haired girl with an hourglass figure, wearing what looked like the female uniform of the young man he and Wendy spotted earlier. The three surprising things about her, were the facts she stood at 7'1", and her figure was of unbelievable proportions, that no girl, or woman should naturally have, even when standing at seven feet tall. However the most surprising fact about her, was the fact that the force behind that punch, had caused his arm to vibrate in pain, and he was still covered in metal.
"I don't know who you are, but I'm not gonna let you steal the secrets of the…"
"ROSE." The young man from before called out to her.
Scythe retracted the metal from his skin, just as the young man came and stood in front of the woman defensively.
"Who are you? What do you want with my sister?" He asked as a reddish burnt umber haired teen, around the boy's age, came to their side.
"Relax man." Scythe sighed sticking his hands in his pockets, as Wendy joined the scene. "I don't want anything with your sister, I've already got someone for myself."
"Then why did you stop the van like that is you're not after the formula?" Rose asked.
"Formula? Look I don't know what you're talking about, but I overheard your brother talking with someone, and he sounded pissed, and even I know, you aren't taken to checkups in a black van, that's just screaming bad news." Scythe exclaimed. "So, because he sounded so concerned, I thought I'd lend a hand, and stop the van."
Scythe raised his hand, covered in metal, and caught a bullet that came at him. Lowering his hand, he showed the bullet wasn't crushed, it was actually perfectly intact, before dropping it into his pocket. He looked to the one who fired his weapon at him, and saw it was a man in a black suit, with blonde hair, wearing glasses, obviously the driver of the van.
"I don't know what the hell you are, but you're coming with me." The driver said.
"Shut up you BASTARD." Jack shouted, hitting the man in the face with a solid blow that knocked him out.
"Solid right hook. You've got some fight in you." Scythe smiled, grabbing the unconscious man by the front of his suit. "Anyways. I have a feeling this guy is gonna lead me to one or both of my targets. So I'd suggest you all run back off to class. That includes you Rose."
"But… I can't just ignore this session. I…"
"Enough." Scythe said, his voice alone demanding respect and authority. "Get back to class. I'm going to where this man was taking you, and trust me when I say you're not gonna want to be there, when I get to work."
"Rose come on. We have to get back to class. Let's just leave him to whatever it is this guy has to do." Jack said. "An' I'm gonna be wanting some answers out of you when we get home, because I know, that this isn't any sort of medical checkup."
"Wait, what are you going to do when you get there?" Rose asked, concern clearly on her face.
"Well, if I do end up fighting, I'm just gonna knock all my enemies out. I'd rather not kill anyone." Scythe said. "C'mon Wendy, we've got work to do."
"Yes dear." Wendy said with a smile on her face, following him.
With that cleared out of her mind, Rose decided to follow Jack, and their friend back to the school, while Scythe just reaching into the inside coat pocket of the man he was holding by the shirt, and pulled out a card, showing he worked for a military weapons development company.
"Well, let's pay them a visit. I'm sure they'll be wanting their guy back." Scythe smiled.
Disappearing in a flash of light, Scythe and Wendy were both in front of the building that the man was supposed to be taking Rose to. Tossing the still unconscious man to the side, and pulling the bullet from his pocket, Scythe stepped up to the door, his clothes requipping back to his Celestial Knight Uniform, as he cracked his knuckles, and pulled his arm back, before slamming it into the metal garage doors, and just like with Rose and the car door, they went flying off their rails and into the building, causing the alarms to sound.
"Looks like we're not welcomed here." Wendy said, stepping up beside him.
"Too bad." Scythe smirked, cracking his neck, before his smile, turned into a frown. "I'm gonna find out why, a military corporation is using someone like Rose as a guinea pig."
Marching in, the soldiers of the facility, began to surround him.
"Stay right where you are, and don't move." One of them shouted, aiming their gun at him.
Scythe sighed, rolling the bullet around in his fingers before looking up at the soldier who surrounded him and Wendy.
"Listen up." Scythe said. "We can do this either the easy way, or the hard way. But you will take me to whoever is in charge here, one way or another, do I make myself clear?"
"You are in no position to be making demands." Another of the gunmen said. "Surrender now, or we will open fire."
"Hard way it is then." Scythe sighed, before flicking the bullet like he was flipping a coin, hitting one of the gunmen in the vulnerable points in their armor.
(Cue Music… Manners maketh man: Nerdout)
The instant that bullet went off, Scythe and Wendy jumped to the sides, taking shelter behind a couple of pillars, before Scythe threw a knife at one of the gunmen, hitting them in the shoulder.
Taking the one less gunman to his advantage, Scythe leapt out from behind the pillar, and slammed his fist into the ground, sending a shockwave under his enemy's feet, and knocking them off balance.
"Wendy." Scythe called out, jumping back in the air, his body beginning to blow.
"On it." Wendy shouted.
Jumping up and pushing off the pillar with her feet, Wendy reached up and grabbed Scythe, as the light broke, revealing he was in his weapon form, his blades dull to avoid killing anyone.
"Let's rock." Scythe said, as Wendy spun him around, and used him to break the weapons with brute force.
Wendy twisted and moved her feet like she was dancing, before she was taken by surprise, and pinned to a pillar from an electric bolas. Her scream of pain was enough to force Scythe out of his weapon form, and back to his human form, cutting the metal ropes of the bolas with his claws, catching Wendy in his arms, before jumping back, avoiding another bolas aimed for them.
Hiding behind the pillar, Scythe sent Wendy back to the Celestial Armory in an attempt to keep her safe while she recovered. After sending her back to the Armory, Scythe took in a deep breath, closing his eyes in an attempt to harness his instincts. Before he stepped out from behind the pillar and went walking towards the enemy, and snot his hand up, to catch the electric bolas heading for him.
His eyes snapped open, before he threw the bolas back at the one who fired it, and went running at the soldiers, pulling a double lariat on two of them, before moving his arms to grab them by their necks, and slammed them into the ground, knocking them out.
Making a dash from the unconscious soldiers, Scythe jumped off of a crate and through the air, reequipping a familiar chained weapon to his hand, and wrapping part of it around the waist of one of the black suited soldiers, and throwing him against a wall.
Scythe moved his head to the side and grabbed a knife that came flying towards him from behind before he threw it back, hitting the soldier that threw it in the shoulder.
"Who is this kid?" One of the soldiers questioned.
"Who cares? We can't let him get to the lab, and get his hands on the formula for the super soldier serum." Another exclaimed, pulling a pin on a grenade and throwing it at Scythe.
Catching the explosive in his hand, Scythe clamped both his hands around it, just before it detonated, but there wasn't a large explosion, just a loud boom that was muffled by his hands, and a bright light that seeped through his fingers, before smoke came out from between them, with a he opened his hands, letting the rest of the smoke out, and showing the only damage he took were soot marks on his hands.
"This kid isn't human." The first soldier said as they starred wide eyed.
"I've had enough of this." Scythe said, taking a knee and placing a hand on the ground as he covered it in metal. "Lightning/Metal God: EMP Shock wave."
A burst of blue lightning pulsed through his arm and into the ground, electrocuting anyone and anything attached to it into unconsciousness, while also powering down anything electronic within the room.
(End Song…)
"There." Scythe sighed, standing up. "Now to find the man in charge here."
"Scythe."
The Etherion Godslayer turned to see Wendy was back, and had a bit of an ashamed look on her face.
"I'm sorry that I wasn't any actual help and was a burden to you, I know I'm just a nuisance to the mission and…"
"Hey." Scythe said, putting a hand on her head. "You're not a nuisance. You're my partner, and you're not a burden. You're my wife, and I couldn't ask for a better partner than you."
Scythe turned to the entrance to the rest of the building, with Wendy following behind him, but stayed back as Scythe kicked in the door that was locked.
"All right, now let's find the head honcho." Scythe said, walking through the halls.
The halls of the building were dark, the lights barely flickering, showing Scythe's EMP was a little more powerful than he originally thought. They came to a room that had a sign on it, saying it was a restricted area, authorized personnel only.
Opening the door, Scythe and Wendy were not all too surprised to find it was a lab, with chemicals and machinery. Going to one of the computers, Scythe began hacking into it, and found several files that hadn't been touched by his EMP, one of them involving Rose.
"How'd you hack it?" Wendy asked.
"It's just like the lacrima at the gym's front desk we use back home, but instead of magic, it runs on electricity." Scythe said.
"That's interesting." Wendy said, as Scythe had the file on Rose, printed.
"I'm gonna get answers from Frank Drake." Scythe said putting the printed file in a folder. "For starters, why he'd use his own daughter as a test subject like this."
"Where'd you come to that conclusion?" Wendy asked.
"The first page of the file says the subject is the daughter of Director Frank Drake, and the file shows her picture, her health, and her increased rate of strength and speed, as well as an increase in flexibility, durability, and stamina, with a stronger immune system to top it all off."
"She must have been injected with the formula she mentioned when we met her." Wendy exclaimed.
"That looks to be the case." Scythe said. "One of the soldiers I knocked out, called it the Super Soldier Serum. Looks like we know how it turns someone into a super soldier."
Sending the file to a shelf on his trophy case in the Celestial Armory, Scythe and Wendy left the lab, and went further into the building, before coming upon a fortified door, with a plaque that said, Director's Office, on it.
"Here it is." Scythe said before kicking down the door.
The instant he did, he had to cover his hand in metal, and used it to catch the bullets that came flying at him, as the director fired a gun at him. Once the magazine in the pistol was empty, Scythe opened his hand, and dropped the bullets to the ground as they made a sound like coins falling hitting the ground.
"You done?" Scythe asked.
"If you're wanting the serum formula, then you're better off killing me, because I won't talk." Frank exclaimed.
"Relax old man." Scythe said. "We don't want the Super Soldier Serum. We just want answers."
"Answers to what exactly?" Frank asked.
"For starters, why you thought it a good idea to use your own daughter as a test subject for the serum." Scythe exclaimed. "Explain, now."
"My daughter… is in love with her older brother Jack." Frank sighed.
"A brother complex, go figure." Wendy said.
"Jack isn't related to me, my wife, or my daughter by blood. His parents were close friends of ours, but they died in an accident a couple years before my wife and I had Rose." Frank explained. "She's obsessed with him, so much in fact, that when he left to study abroad two years ago, she became depressed, and not long after he left, I don't know what she was thinking, but she took a cocktail of different medicines and overdosed on them. At the hospital, it was said she didn't have more than a couple hours to live. But I knew the labs had developed something that could save her life."
"So you used the serum to save her life, not turn her into a test subject." Scythe said in understanding. "Affections for our loved ones can make us do crazy things."
"By the time the board of directors found I had stolen the formula, my daughter was already back on her feet, walking again." Frank said. "The board was gonna do one of two things, if I didn't agree to their terms and turn Rose into a subject for testing. They were either, going to kill her, or take her by force, while killing the rest of her family, and throw her into warzones. In exchange for her cooperation, she gets to live a relatively normal life, for someone of her capabilities."
"This puts me in quite the predicament." Scythe sighed. "The head of the board of directors, have they been acting strange lately, like they aren't themselves?"
"Actually yes, she has been acting like a different person entirely in fact." Frank exclaimed.
"When did it start?" Wendy asked.
"About four years ago, when she told us to get started with working on the Super Soldier Serum." Frank explained. "She even provided the research team with the necessary data needed to get started on developing the serum, which took two years to get right."
"I think we may have found one of our targets." Wendy said.
"Agreed. What's the name of the head of the board of directors?" Scythe asked.
"Ginger Morgue." Frank said. "Why do you want to know?"
Scythe lifted the door and dead bolted it with his iron slayer magic, before turning back to Frank.
"Wendy and I are what's known as Celestial Knights." Scythe began to explain. "We're responsible for keeping the cosmos in balance, and that balance is at risk thanks to a couple of creeps who were tracked to this world, one of them being a specter who causes chaos and discord among the lives they destroy, as seasonings to make the souls they devour taste better."
"Given this particular specter can only inhabit the bodies of the same gender as they are, it's most likely the specter is female, and is possessing the head of the board of directors, wanting to create a political problem on a global scale, before letting the world destroy itself and consuming the souls of the dead." Wendy continued. "In short…"
"Our world is like an all you can eat buffet to her." Frank said in realization.
"Exactly." Wendy said.
"You don't seem all that surprised that a Celestial Knight is a real thing." Scythe exclaimed.
"Given the abilities I've seen that you possess, I'd be surprised if you were anything but a Celestial being." Frank stated.
"You saw our fight with your men?" Scythe asked.
"Through the security cameras before that EMP attack you did, causing them to go black." Frank said. "Oh God, Rose is gonna be here for her next battle simulation at any second."
"You don't need to worry about that." Wendy exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" Frank questioned.
"The agent you sent to pick her up from school is lying unconscious outside the building as we speak. You son caught sight of Rose getting into the black van, and when he spoke to someone, we're assuming your wife, about the matter, we knew something was up, as there's no way in hell, a black van picking up a girl from school grounds, is a medical checkup. So I stopped the van, knocked out the driver, and sent Rose along with Jack back to their classes." Scythe said. "Like you, Rose thought I was after the formula, but after a bit of clarification, she understood, I was just acting on behalf of her brother's concern."
"Well… I guess that would explain why the driver is running late." Frank sighed.
"Now you need to listen up, Wendy and I are gonna take care of this specter being possessing the board of directors, but you'll need to keep a lid on the fact you know the truth about it, do you understand me?" Scythe inquired.
"I understand. I'll help in any way I can." Frank said.
"Good." Scythe exclaimed. "We'll be off then. Take care."
"If you're needing a place to stay for the duration of your mission, feel free to stay at my house." Frank said, stopping them from leaving. "Please, it would be an honor."
"You do realize we're gonna be telling your wife about this right?" Scythe asked. "She has the right to know what her daughter is actually going through."
"I understand, do what you have to do, I won't hold it against you, but my offer for you to stay at my home still remains." Frank exclaimed, writing down the address and handing it to them.
"Very well." Scythe sighed. "Before we go there, we're going to be checking in with my superior. We'll see you at a later juncture."
~Celestial Armory: Sometime Later~
"So you've managed to track down one of your targets, and identified their host and gender. That's good." Shirou said, looking over the file on Rose. "But what about the formula coursing through Rose's veins?"
"You mean the Super Soldier Serum that made that poor girl over seven feet tall and gave her an M-Cup chest, and 95centemeter hips?" Rin asked, sounding a bit annoyed.
"Yes that serum honey." Shirou sighed. 'She's always so sensitive about those things.'
"There's no counter active to it, as far as we know." Scythe exclaimed.
"Sad how she resorted to that just because her brother got a scholarship to study abroad for two years." Rin said, having been the first to read the file. "From the sound of it, he only got that scholarship, and worked hard because he wanted to be someone Rose cold look up to."
"An' it backfired on him drastically." Shirou sighed, closing the file. "Does Frank's wife know about this?"
"She will when we tell her about it. Frank has offered us residency at his place while we're working our mission." Scythe exclaimed.
"Mission parameters have changed with this new development." Shirou exclaimed. "One of you is to guard Rose, Jack, and their friend who also witnessed what you did to that van."
"We'll have to order either Jackie of Iskandar to guard her." Wendy said. "I don't think she leaves that close to Jack and Rose."
"Good point. I'll have Iskandar guard her." Shirou exclaimed.
"Is that all you needed to talk about?" Rin asked.
"Actually, there is one thing I'd like to discuss with these new mission parameters." Scythe said.
~Big City Office Building~
"So, we have a couple of the Celestial's visiting out diner, do we?" A woman asked, lighting a cigarette. "Is that going to be a problem beloved?"
"Oh I doubt it Ginger. Those two are nothing more than children, playing cops and robbers, they're still green around the gills." A gravelly, devious voice said standing in the dark corner of the CEO Office.
"I hope you are right Beo. I'd hate for our efforts over the last four years to be for nothing." Ginger said blowing out some smoke. "Has the serum been altered accordingly?"
"I'm afraid it hasn't yet. But they're close to fixing the little, growth, error that the Drake girl had developed." Beo exclaimed.
"What of the lab in Calgary?" Ginger asked.
"After the Celestial Knights got every living soul out of there, and took most of the equipment and the serum samples to who knows where, they destroyed the building, leaving us with one facility less." Beo explained.
"That won't matter." Ginger exclaimed. "We have other facilities within the area that have produced far greater results with the serum than that one. But what of the girl? The Celestial Knights have made it abundantly clear that Rose is not to be touched or used as a guinea pig ever again, and we've invested quite a substantial amount of time and money into her."
"Let her be. The Celestial Knights who've tracked us down, might be greenies, but the servants they can call forth to fight for them, most certainly are not." Beo exclaimed.
"Very well, you've failed to lead me astray so far, I'll trust your judgement." Ginger exclaimed. "My feast, is getting closer with every day. I can already taste it." She smirked.
~Drake Residence~
Knock-knock-knock…
"You sure about this?" Wendy asked.
"I am." Scythe said, before the door opened, revealing a woman in a dress shirt, and a pair of pants.
"You must be the guests my husband called ahead about." Ms. Drake said. "It's nice to meet you, call me Karen."
"Nice to meet you to. My name is Scythe, and this is Wendy." Scythe said.
"That's quite the exotic name, come in, come in." Karen said. "So when my husband called, he sounded a little hesitant, but he had said something about you needing to tell me something regarding my daughter?"
"Yes ma'am, but… would you mind giving your son a call, and ask him to bring his friend with the glasses home with him? This is something the three of you need to hear together." Scythe explained.
"Yes of course." Karen said.
It was about a ten minute wait until Jack, Rose, and their friend walked through the door, in which Rose looked nervous as to what they were doing here, but they were all shocked by the matching uniforms Scythe and Wendy wore, compared to the clothes they were wearing when they first met.
"Glad you all could make it." Scythe said, putting his hands on his hips. "Please have a seat, we need to talk."
~One Explanation Later
"Hold up, you mean to tell me, that the reason Rose was in the hospital, was because she attempted suicide from me leaving to study abroad?" Jack asked.
"An' my daughter only survived because my husband gave her an experimental serum that the scientists he works with, developed?" Karen questioned.
"An' those medical checkups she'd go to, weren't checkups at all, but tests she was being forced to volunteer for, just to keep her family from being silenced?" The brunet, Megan, questioned.
"Pretty much." Scythe said, holding up the file with Rose's information. "If you can't take my word for it, then here's the evidence, and Rose's word can verify it as well."
"Why would my husband agree to such a despicable thing?" Karen questioned taking the folder.
"He didn't have a choice, if he wanted to keep you, Jack, and himself alive, while also keeping Rose from being forced to fight in warzones." Wendy said.
"Rose." Jack said, getting up. "Why… why would you try and take your own life, just because I wanted to live mine?"
"O-Onii-chan I…"
"No. What you did, was selfish and stupid. Do you even realize how self-absorbed you are, by doing that, just because I got a scholarship? My entire world doesn't revolve around just you." Jack said. "To make things worse, I had to hear this news from a complete stranger. If someone like Frank or Karen told me, then I wouldn't be this upset. But I had to learn it, from the kid, who destroyed the van that was gonna take you to the testing facility."
"Onii-chan…"
"I get that you care about me Rose, and I get that you love me, but doing selfish acts like trying to take your life, when I have a life of my own to live, is only going to push me away." Jack exclaimed. "So please, no more attempts on suicide just because I live a little myself. It would make me very said if I lost you."
"Onii-chan…" Rose began to cry, before burying her face into his chest. "I'm so sorry, I didn't want to make you so angry, I was an idiot, and I know it wasn't rational just because you were going away for a couple years. But I was just so upset that you left me behind, I felt like you had abandoned me. Just the idea of it hurt so much and…"
"I wasn't abandoning you Rose. I was only gone for two years. Please just stop crying and learn from this mistake, and try not to be so selfish next time." Jack said. "Don't you see what this selfishness of yours did? It made you lose your freedom, it forced Frank into agreeing to use his own daughter as a test subject, and it's made me angry at Frank's higher ups."
"Your anger is understandable Jack." Scythe said. "But I wouldn't worry about her freedom, as that's not a problem anymore."
"What do you mean by that?" Karen asked.
"I destroyed the facility that Rose was subjected to those tests in. She's officially free to live her entire life, how she pleases." Scythe explained. "But just to be on the safe side, the parameters of our mission have changed."
"Mission?" Megan asked.
"We're cosmic enforcers known as Celestial Knights, it's our job to make sure the balance of the cosmos isn't threatened or disrupted. An' our current mission is finding two individuals who are seeking to turn the souls of the people in this world, into an all you can eat buffet for a specter of chaos." Wendy explained as Scythe flicked his badge to them, the diamond on one side, and the skull on the other.
"We believe the specter has possessed the CEO of the company Frank works for." Scythe said. "So for all of your safety, you'll each be put under the protection of one of the spirits that serve us."
"Are you sure that's needed?" Megan asked.
"We're sure." Wendy said. "You won't be able to see them, but if you're in trouble like, mortal danger trouble, then they'll make their presence known."
"For Jack, Rose, and Karen, they'll be around for you if we're not around. But Wendy will be serving as both Jack and Rose's guard, while I'm hunting down our targets." Scythe explained.
"I might not look like much of a fighter, but I can be surprising at times." Wendy smiled.
"That's the truth, she's kicked my ass a couple times in all out combat." Scythe smiled putting a hand on her head, like he was praising her.
"How do we know this isn't just a ploy or trick that you're not really spies of an enemy country, wanting to make war with our country?" Megan asked.
"Could a normal person really have done what we saw him do to that van?" Jack asked.
"No I guess not." Megan sighed.
"What happened with the van?" Karen asked.
"It crashed into him, and the front end wrapped around him like he was a steel beam." Rose said. "I should know I was in the van when it happened."
"You were what?" Karen questioned.
"Now before you get mad, I did plan on treating any injuries she might have had from that incident, I just wasn't aware of her current durability." Scythe said.
"I suppose you knew what you were doing, being a Celestial Knight and all." Karen sighed. "All right, I've prepared a couple spare rooms for you both to sleep in while you're staying here and…"
"Actually, would you mind it, if we slept in the same room?" Wendy asked. "I heard there's supposed to be a thunderstorm tonight and I don't do so well with those."
"I cannot allow it, only a married man, and woman, should share the same room when sleeping at night." Karen exclaimed.
"Then I guess you can allow it." Wendy smiled, removing the glove on her left hand, and holding it up, showing the wedding band on her ring finger. "Scythe and I are more than just Celestial Knight Partners. We're husband and wife."
"She's not lying." Scythe said, showing his left hand with the glove removed. "Wendy and I are a married couple."
"B-but you're so young." Karen gasped.
"Oh, Onii-chan, let's get married as well." Rose smiled, hugging him.
"No Rose, we're not doing this right now." Jack exclaimed.
"How are you two married?" Megan asked, trying her best to ignore what was going on between Jack and his sister.
"Wendy was raised by a dragon, so she marked me as her mate, and in our world, it was made official by our guild master when he proclaimed us as husband and wife." Scythe explained, putting the glove back on.
"Well, I guess it's fine if you sleep in the same room." Karen sighed. "But nothing inappropriate you hear?"
"Oh trust me, we don't plan on doing anything remotely close to that until we're at least in our twenties." Scythe exclaimed.
"Very good." Karen said.
"Well, I'm heading out. See you at school on Monday." Megan said, leaving.
"All right, now since we have all that out of the way; Mom, could I invite Mimi over tomorrow afternoon? I have something fun I want to do with everyone, and I want Megan to join in on the fun to."
"I don't see why not. Just so long as you're all responsible." Karen said.
"Yay. Megan, can you come over tomorrow for the fun I have planned?" Rose asked, as Megan had just finished putting her shoes on.
"Sure, I guess. I don't really have anything planned, so I'll be by tomorrow around noon." Megan called before heading out the door.
"Perfect, Wendy you're welcome to join us to if you want." Rose exclaimed. "I mean, you are supposed to stay by mine and Jack's side."
"Uh sure… what do you have in mind?" Wendy asked.
~The Following Day~
"Hey hold on, how do I build my character again?" Wendy questioned, as she was having some trouble, just like Megan, with building her Dungeon's and Dragon's character.
"I'm not really sure how these stats work. Balancing everything's trickier than it looks." Megan said.
"Hey relax, first time I played, took me an hour to get my character how I liked him. But I'm sure you'll do fine with yours. You did choose to make your character an assassin after all." Jack chuckled.
"Let me see here." Rose said, pressing her chest into Megan's back, causing the brunet to nearly snap the pencil. "Oh, it looks like you could use a little more power, while Wendy could lower her power a bit."
"Hey Rose, didn't you invite a friend to?" Jack asked.
"Oh yeah, a friend from school." Rose smiled, before the doorbell rang. "Oh, that must be her now." She said, before she went to answer the door.
"You know, I'm surprised Rose asked for this." Jack said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean, I thought she'd ask for a…"
"Ta-daa~! Everyone, this is Mimi, she'll be playing with us." Rose said, coming back into the room, with a black haired girl hugging her, but the most surprising thing about her, was her curves being nearly the same as Rose's.
"Hehe, nice to finally meet you. So the legends were true." Mimi smiled.
'THERE'S TWO OF THEM.' Wendy mentally screamed, feeling envious of their curves, while cursing her own flat chest.
'OH GOD THEY'RE MULTIPLYING.' Megan mentally screamed, before turning to look at Jack. "An old classmate huh?"
"Y-yeah." Jack said nervously.
"W-wait a sec, I thought Rose invited a classmate, I've never seen you in class before." Megan said.
"Hehe, yeah strange thing, I was with her before she skipped grades." Mimi explained.
"I was making plans to play with her and Onii-chan for a long time." Rose smiled as Mimi took her seat across from Jack, and beside Wendy.
"Right well… It's nice to meet you." Jack said, a bit embarrassed.
"Nngh… Yeah, let's just get this show on the road." Megan said.
"Agreed." Wendy nodded, keeping her head down.
"Yeah, let's relax and have some fun." Mimi said, gently gliding her foot up Jack's leg under the table, causing him to flinch at her flirtatious move.
"You've all been hired by the High Church to investigate a mysterious, abandoned tower deep in the Great Forest. An apprentice Cleric, and an Assassin are with you to act as your guards." Rose began.
~D&D Fantasy World~
"The tower should be close now, be careful, we don't know what could lurk within." Mimi's character said. Mimi's character was a high elf, wearing rather revealing cleric garbs, with armor on the shins, shoulders, and forearms, with a weapon in her arms.
"Got it. I'll take the lead and protect you both. Stay behind me." Jack said. Dressed in his knight armor.
"Ah~ A blessing before you go, brave warrior." Mimi said, burying Jack's face in her cleavage.
"Wha-HEY." Megan's Succubus character shouted, clutching her bow tightly, while her tail swished about, wearing a green tunic, and thigh high leather boots.
"Now's not the time to get all lovey dovey you two." Wendy's high elf Assassin character said. Wendy's character was wearing an ocean blue sleeveless dress with a sky blue cloud pattern around the torso, with gold trimmings and a gold sash tied in a bow behind her back. Her arms were covered in black sleeveless gloves and stockings with gold edges, and open toed sandals. Her hair was in a ponytail. (A/N: Wendy's Dragon Cry, Ninja Outfit.)
*You enter the tower. It's dark and rundown inside, and an eerie feeling creeps down your spines.* Rose narrates. *You see a room of medium size with a tiled floor. To the sides are the tenebrous doorways to the other rooms and at the end, you see a wall with two doors, one of which has collapsed. There are signs the dust has been disturbed, but you are sure it's not from the local wildlife.*
"I think there's some stairs over here." Jack said leading the way. "What was this place used for anyway?"
"I'm not sure, a mage's study, I think. The local lord has made no effort to reclaim it after its inhabitants vanished." Mimi explained. "There's dark rumors about this place… Of spirits, curses and worse…"
"Scary." Wendy said.
"Haah-Such desires, such potential… Yours to take…"
"Ah-! Who was-? Did anyone else hear that…?" Megan questioned, turning her head at the sound of the eerie voice that was behind her.
"Like what? You okay Megan?" Jack asked.
"I don't hear anything." Wendy said.
"Are you sure? I heard nothing." Mimi exclaimed.
"It's… Fine." Megan sighed.
"Hehe, well if it is something scary, you'll protect us, right?" Mimi asked, cuddling up next to Jack.
"Aw come on, really-?" Megan asked.
"Why don't we head up the stairs and leave these two alone for a bit?" Wendy suggested.
"Good idea." Megan said following Wendy, and leaving the two alone with each other.
Climbing up the stairs, Wendy and Megan were looking around, thinking everything was gonna be all right.
*In the room at the top of the stairs, you see a diadem and a set of cuff earrings resting on a smooth stone table. The crown and earrings have a familiar alluring feeling about them.* Rose continues to narrate.
~Reality~
"Both of you roll against your willpower please." Rose smiled.
"Urgh, I got a natural one. That's a fail." Megan grumbled.
"I rolled a three." Wendy said.
~D&D Fantasy World~
*The crown and earring calls to you both. Before either of you know it, they're in your hand, like you're living in a dream. Megan places the circlet on her head, and Wendy puts the earrings on, replacing her current earring. They both fit, and suit you both, as if they were made for you~* Rose narrates.
Wendy and Megan's bodies start to grow and change, as the background lights up behind them. Their clothes tore themselves apart, while their bodies grew in both height and curve as Megan's clothes turned into a princess like attire, while Wendy's turned into a one piece leotard with a katana and a black half balaclava mask covering her lower face. But both of them had gained the height and curves of Mimi and Rose. However the both of them had collars with two rings of chain, around their necks.
~Reality~
"W-what was all that?" Megan asked, Wendy just remained silent.
"Eh? Magical girl transformations are cool, aren't they?" Rose asked.
"I use magic, and I find that offensive." Wendy said, her face still red from the drastic, changes, her character went through.
"I mean, yeah, it was kind of interesting… But that's not the point." Megan said.
"Yeah, Rose, it isn't nice to just change somebody's character like that without asking." Jack agreed.
"But it's the item's abilities. I didn't expect them to fail the save, and thought they would love it…" Rose said, kinda shyly.
"Aww, come on, it's not like your Onii-chan didn't enjoy the scene, right?" Mimi asked teasingly.
"Ju-… just ask me next time Rose, okay?" Megan grumbled.
~D&D Fantasy World~
*When the rest of your party goes upstairs, you find Tiefling, who seems to be troubled.* Rose continues.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Jack asked.
"Oh my, looking good you two." Mimi said.
"It's this stupid tiara-thing! I can't get it off." Megan said.
"I can't get these earrings off either." Wendy said, trying her best to remove the earrings.
"Hmmm. I can sense that it is an item of great power. It feels demonic in nature…" Mimi said, pressing her forehead to Megan's.
"H-hey. Too close." Megan said as their chests pressed together.
"It must be the same for the earrings." Jack said.
"That's right." A new unrecognizable voice called out. "Now I can finally leave this musty old tower. Mwahaha! An' it's all thanks to you."
The four turned around to see a tiny, six inch tall devil with a form like Mimi's, standing on the dusty old desk by the candle and journal.
"Well there's the reason for the haunting." Mimi said. "Guess we're done here then?"
"W-wait, we can't go outside looking like we are now." Megan said.
"Oh? Well I could help with that you know." The Devil Rose said.
"Really?" Wendy asked.
"Sure, a favor for a favor." Devil Rose mused. "In order to release the curse, you must go downstairs into the basement, and slay ten slimes."
"So it's the, rat slaying, quest?" Jack asked.
"Sounds like it." Megan said.
"I hate slimes." Wendy groaned.
There was a moment of expectant silence, as they were all expecting the Devil Rose to say something else.
"Fine! There is a magical key down there you need to find… You still need to slay the slimes though." Devil Rose exclaimed.
~A Short While Later~
"Think that's all of them?" Megan asked coming to Jack.
"Yeah, looks like." Jack exclaimed.
"Hey, I think I've found the thing." Mimi called out.
"You mean the key?" Wendy asked.
Over in the corner of the basement was a device that had a chunk of ice, with a key trapped inside. On either side of the device were chain levers that would require two people to activate.
"So that's it? I'm just gonna guess breaking the ice isn't possible." Megan said.
"I think those chains control the vents. We can melt it out, but it's gonna be hot." Jack said.
"It's fine, I have fire resistance. You two ready?" Megan asked.
"Hold on, there's only one key, and there's two of us." Wendy said.
"It should be fine. I think the key unlocks both the curses on the items." Mimi said.
After that, Mimi and Jack pulled the chains and Megan grabbed the key, and instantly the collars around both her and Wendy's necks began to fade away.
"So we can get these things off now?" Megan asked, removing her circlet. The instant it was removed, she reverted back to normal.
"Great curse lifted and quest complete. You going to sell that thing?" Jack asked.
"W-well besides the side effects, the stats were pretty great." Megan said.
"Your turn Wendy." Mimi exclaimed.
"I… think I'm gonna stay like this for a while longer." Wendy said. "I like the boost in stats and I actually do kinda like the curves I get from wearing them."
~Reality~
"An' that seems like a good stop for this adventure!" Rose smiled.
"Finally, felt like I was stuck like that forever." Megan said.
"Why'd you choose to keep your character like that Wendy?" Jack asked.
"Look at me Jack. I'm flat as a board, so at least this way I get to actually fantasize about being curvy and not seem desperate about it." Wendy exclaimed.
Rose and Mimi looked at each other, apparently having a similar mischievous idea.
"It's pretty late. Oh, why don't we make this a sleepover?" Rose suggested.
"Ooh, sound like fun." Mimi smiled.
"I'll ask mom to order some pizza." Rose said.
"Hey, don't go without me." Mimi exclaimed.
"No anchovies or olives on my portions please." Wendy called to them.
"Uh-sorry. I think they've already decided." Jack exclaimed.
"No, it's fine. This way I can keep an eye on her at least." Megan said. "So Wendy, where's Scythe now?" Megan asked, wanting to change the topic.
"Oh, he's out on patrol, trying to find that specter and her accomplice." Wendy explained.
"An' you're here to guard both Jack and Rose. Got it." Megan said. "So, how did you and Scythe first meet?"
"I'm curious about that to." Jack said.
"Hey, don't start talking about love stories without us." Rose said as she and Mimi rushed back into the dining room, with a bunch of pizzas and soda.
"How'd those get here so fast?" Megan asked.
"I have no answer to that." Jack said.
"All right, so spill Wendy. How did you and Scythe first meet?" Rose asked.
"Is Scythe the other house guest your family is hosting for a while?" Mimi asked.
'She doesn't know we're Celestial Knights, Rose actually kept the promise we had her make.' Wendy thought.
"Yeah he is. He's actually out right now." Jack exclaimed.
"Well, if you're wanting to know…" Wendy said, fidgeting in her seat. "He actually saved my life the first time we met."
"Aw, he was your knight in shining armor." Rose smiled.
As Wendy continued to tell the story of how they first met, and how they went on their first date, the hour continued to get late, before the sound of the front door opening and closing echoed around them.
"I'm back." Scythe called out.
"Welcome back." Wendy smiled going to greet him.
"Glad to be back." Scythe said, embracing Wendy in a hug. "What's going on here?"
"D&D Sleepover." Jack said.
"Oh so you're Scythe. Wendy's told us quite a bit about you." Mimi said, catching Scythe off guard.
"R-really now? Is that right?" Scythe asked, trying to sound normal, but it was clear he was a little frustrated.
"Looks like it's bedtime already." Rose exclaimed.
"Oooh! PJ contest." Mimi said, both of them smooshing Megan and Wendy.
"H-hey! I… whoa." Megan was not prepared for this.
"Stop smooshing us." Wendy exclaimed.
"Come on, Jack and Scythe can judge." Mimi said.
"Hold on a minute." Scythe said. "Jack, Rose, could you two stay behind a bit? I'm needing to talk with Rose for a minute in private, and Jack probably has some questions for her as well." Scythe said.
"Ah? Of course Scythe." Rose exclaimed, as she and Jack followed Scythe to the couch.
"Okay Rose, what's the deal with Mimi? We're not blind, you know." Scythe said.
"Ooh, why? Interested in her are you Mr. God of War?" Rose asked.
"Wendy told you how we met, didn't she?" Scythe asked.
"She did, and it was very romantic how you came to her rescue like that." Rose smiled.
"Quit being coy, Rose." Jack said. "Her body's just like yours. What did you do, steal more of that serum?"
"N-no… I-I managed to find an alternative based on the data collected about how the serum affected my body." Rose said.
"I doubt you had to force her. Just keep this quiet, and on the down low. We don't need to start raising a panic in the streets." Scythe said. "However, I have no doubt you are gonna do this to a few more girls, so please just tell me who they are so I can send a watch to them."
"Of course." Rose said.
"Just… You all have fun okay? Scythe and I will go get more drinks for you all." Jack said.
With Rose heading for her room, Jack had an opportunity to talk with Scythe.
"So, did you find anything at the CEO's Main building?" Jack asked.
"I did. The specter and villain are definitely there, and the specter has indeed taken over the CEO's body, forcing her own spirit out." Scythe explained.
"But wouldn't that mean…"
"Yes, even if I were to get the specter separated from Ginger's body, the CEO of the company Frank Works for, is already dead, and has been for four years. The only reason why the body is not decaying is because it has the specter living inside it, still pumping blood through its heart and veins." Scythe explained. "But because the specter is magical in nature, it's given the body an upgrade, such as hyper regeneration."
"So there's nothing we can do to get her out of the CEO's body?" Jack asked.
"Not exactly. Hyper regeneration is a good thing to have, but there is a downside. In exchange for this hyper regeneration, the body lost all its physical strength, which means she's defenseless in a fight. If I can distract her partner, and keep him away from Ginger long enough for Wendy to take her to the Celestial Armory, then that should be enough before she's thrown into the Armory's core."
"What about her leaving the body to find a new vessel?" Jack asked.
"She's been housed in her current vessel for four years, she's not going to be able to leave it as easily as you think. Her essence is rooted to its core, she'll need at least ten minutes of prep time before she could properly leave her vessel." Scythe explained.
"I guess that does make sense." Jack said, taking a tray with four glasses on it, while Scythe grabbed two bottles of sodas.
Jack knocked on the door to the bedroom before Mimi came and answered it, wearing the same top as before, but was now in her panties. Megan was wearing a spare pair of Wendy's PJ's as those would fit her better than Rose's current sizes would.
"Ooh, perfect~" Mimi smiled, noticing the blush on both Jack and Scythe's cheeks. "Hehe, want to join us?" She asked.
"N-no. Thanks, but I'm kinda tired, I need some sleep." Jack said.
"Awww, sweet dreams." Mimi smiled.
"Mmmh. Looks like Jack's got a type." Rose smiled, whispering to Megan, before pulling Wendy into the circle to talk to her as well. "Hmm… what if, I told you I could help a little with both your problems?"
"Yeah I think I'm just gonna go to bed as well." Scythe exclaimed, turning around to leave. "I've been on patrol all day, so I need some rest."
"No way." Mimi exclaimed pulling him in by the back of his shirt, and setting him down beside Wendy. "Your loving wife is in here, so you're gonna spend the night with us as well."
"I-I'm not sure Megan is completely comfortable with this." Scythe said.
"I'm fine." Megan exclaimed.
~The Following Morning~
"Sorry, I kinda bailed on you both last night." Jack sighed.
"It's fine. They're not bad just a bit eccentric." Megan exclaimed.
"Wendy kept try to privately talk with Rose about something. So I just butt out of it." Scythe said.
"You weren't even curious at all?" Megan asked.
"Of course I was. But she's my wife, if she has a secret she wants to talk about with other girls, than it's not my place to try pry. I'm not in charge of her social life, not all of her attention has to be on me; she's allowed friends without my say." Scythe stated.
"Hey did you get any sleep last night Jack? You to Scythe, you both look terrible." Megan exclaimed.
"Look who's talking." Jack said. "My mind kept racing to what had happened in the D&D game yesterday."
"An' Mimi kept trying to get Wendy and me to use her chest as a pillow. It was so embarrassing I was about ready to leave the mission and just head back to the Celestial Armory and forget any of this ever happened." Scythe exclaimed.
"Tell me about it, being in the same room as those two made me feel like I was suffocating with how they were flaunting their stuff." Megan said.
All three of them gave a long drawn out sigh.
"Where are those three anyway? Wendy seems to have gotten extremely close and chummy with Rose and Mimi all of a sudden." Megan said.
"Oh, Rose goes jogging in the mornings. I guess she took Mimi and Wendy with her." Jack exclaimed.
"This early? Well at least it's quiet for a while." Megan said.
"Hah, yeah." Jack smiled.
"Don't forget, Wendy is Rose's guard. Now Rose might not need it, but it's necessary, so Wendy's gonna be accompanying her on her morning runs." Scythe explained.
"Still, I'm glad we have the protection of Celestial Knights." Megan smiled. "H-hey Jack…? What- I mean how would you… I-if… I…?"
"Yes Megan?" Jack asked.
"Aha, no it's nothing, really. Thank you…" Megan smiled, before getting up. "I should go before they come back. Talk to you later okay?"
"Sure, any time." Jack said.
~Celestial Armory~
"So, you're sure you know what you're doing with this equipment Rose?" Wendy asked. Against her better judgement, Wendy decided to bring Rose to the Celestial Armory, where they were storing the equipment that created the serum Rose was given by her father.
"I'm sure. I just have to make a few adjustments to some of the ingredients and the components used in it." Rose said. "I've spent weeks experimenting with the ingredients for the serum, but none of them were put to use. Just so you know, I'm using formula 125 out of 500."
"Remember I'm not wanting to be as big as you. But you said this serum enhances a person's physical strength, so if that's true, then I finally will be of some use to Scythe during missions." Wendy said.
"Let me ask you, do you honestly think he sees you as useless and unneeded during missions?" Rose asked, typing into the computer for the ingredients. "I mean, formula 125 will do what you want, no questions asked, the numbers don't lie, but the way I see it, he finds you irreplaceable, and perfect the way you are."
"You're one to talk, Ms. M-Cups." Wendy said.
"You know I didn't have any control over how the serum changed me." Rose said.
"I know sorry. But I'm not doing this for Scythe. I'm doing this for me." Wendy said. "I just feel like I'm useless, and I keep falling behind him. His power keeps rising, and the serum enhanced your strength immensely, I just want to be able to catch up to him."
"Well, if you ask me, I'd say you're plenty strong enough." Rose smiled. "But if you're wanting to keep suspicion off you from Scythe, and make your growth in size and strength look natural, I'd recommend you take the serum doses once or twice a week only. Any more and he'll probably get suspicious."
"Well I'm not wanting him to find out I'm doing this." Wendy sighed.
"But, just to clarify, you're only doing this for yourself right? You're not doing this to try and impress your husband or anything like that?" Rose asked.
"That's right." Wendy exclaimed. "Scythe would never ask me to change for him. He's too good of a guy for that."
"Just had to be sure." Rose smiled.
"Ah, Wendy glad I found you. I couldn't sense you anywhere on Earth647 so I had to look…" Rin stopped in her explanation as she saw the device that was confiscated active and producing a month's supply of serum 125, with Rose at the computer. "Wendy mind explaining what you're doing?"
"Um… it's a long story." Wendy exclaimed.
~Sometime Later Drake Residence~
"We're back." Rose called as she and Wendy came back to the house.
"Hey, welcome back." Jack said. "Megan left already, and you just missed Scythe as he went out on patrol."
"Mimi went home to." Rose said, plopping down on the couch. "Hey, is it okay if I stay here for a while?"
"Hm? Sure. You want to play too?" Jack asked.
"Not really~" Rose smiled, dropping down and laying her head on Jack's lap.
"H-hey, I can't play like…"
"Just a little more." Rose smiled.
"Fine." Jack caved petting her head. "Kinda wish you acted cute like this more often."
"But… Then you would never have noticed me." Rose said.
"Come on, you know I wouldn't ever ignore you." Jack exclaimed.
"That's not what I meant." Rose said, turning over.
"I know. You've changed, and that's changed how I look at you." Jack exclaimed giving her a kiss on the forehead.
~Scythe's Rooftop Location~
"Any sign of trouble young prince?" Iskandar asked sitting beside Scythe on the roof top across from the main building where Ginger and Beo were.
"No. I can sense their energies coming from the building. It's like they're not even trying to hide themselves." Scythe said, munching on a slice of pizza. "What I can't understand is, what their true purpose for that super soldier formula would be."
"You mean the one that evolved Ms. Drake, I assume?" Iskandar asked eating his own slice of pizza.
"Exactly. I can't figure it out, why try and create warfare based on that serum, when there would be so many, easier options available to them?" Scythe questioned.
"Your guess is as good as mine young prince." Iskandar shrugged.
"I just don't see the reasons why they'd need to develop that serum, unless…" Scythe's eyes widened in revelation. "Unless it was used to counteract the hyper regenerative abilities side effects."
"Good guess my dear boy."
Scythe and Iskandar were instantly on their feet, and turned to look at the voice that had spoken, finding a rather tall figure in what looked like green battle armor with a red upside down triangle with a groove in the flat part of the top, and black metal hands wearing a purple cape, with red eyes, and white, sharp teeth that looked like they could tear through steel. He had stepped out of a portal that was closing behind him.
"Good morning you two. Is there something I can help you with? This is the second day in a row that I've noticed you spying on us." He said with a rather sultry voice.
"Velhallen Beo, I presume?" Scythe asked, getting ready for a fight.
"You presume correctly my dear boy. I must say, your deduction as to why we're developing the serum was spot on. You see, my beloved has grown rather fond of her current vessel, and I'm inclined to agree that it is a rather fetching vessel." Beo exclaimed. "As soon as the serum is complete, and she's had her fill of this world's souls, then we'll be taking our leave."
"An' the warfare that comes from developing this serum?" Scythe questioned.
"Unexpected seasonings on the meals for my beloved, but most certainly welcome none the less." Beo exclaimed.
"So, let me ask you something Beo. What exactly is your magic?" Scythe asked.
"Oh my dear boy, you must be from Earthland like myself, how terribly rude of me to not give you a proper greeting." Beo exclaimed. "Velhallen Beo at your service. An' you are?"
"Scythe Strauss. Celestial Knight, son of one of the barmaids at Fairy Tail." Scythe exclaimed.
"Oh my dear boy, you must be Mirajane's child. Oh yes I quite enjoyed her centerfold pieces in Sorcerer Weekly." Beo laughed. "I must say, she's aged rather well, if she has a son as old as you."
"Your magic, spill it." Scythe growled.
"Terribly sorry, we did get off track didn't we?" Beo rhetorically inquired. "Let's see, I have extensive knowledge of all forms of magic, I have a regenerative healing factor, beams that I can shoot from my eyes like trackers, portal creation, telekinesis, and I have control over all demon lifeforms."
"Note to self, never enter Satan's Soul around you." Scythe exclaimed. "You seemed rather willing on telling us your magic."
"Why is that, I wonder?" Iskandar asked.
"That is pretty obvious, I dare say." Beo smiled, his eyes glowing brighter. "Neither of you are going to live long enough to be able to tell your higher ups."
Beo fired beams of energy from his eyes, hitting Scythe directly in the chest, and piercing him through both his lungs and his heart.
"Young Prince." Iskandar shouted, as Scythe fell back.
Mere seconds before Scythe fell to the ground, he grit his teeth, and put one foot back to regain his footing, as blood spilled out of his wounds and mouth, onto the rooftop.
"Strange, I know for a fact I pierced your heart and both your lungs, yet you still stand." Beo said, before he bent over as Scythe was instantly beside him, with his fist buried in his torso.
"You're not the only one here with a healing factor Jackass." Scythe smirked.
"Seems I've underestimated… your capabilities." Beo wheezed out as he witnessed the exit wounds on Scythe's back, seal up with steam pouring out of them. "Well played young man, well played."
(Cue Music… Just one yesterday: Fallout Boy)
Scythe thrust his fist forward and sent Beo flying high into the air, before following after him, with flames propelling from his feet.
"Crimson red flames, my how colorful." Beo smirked, as she created a portal directed it at Scythe, hoping he'd be flying too fast to stop.
Scythe saw the portal, and acting on instinct, moved his left foot down, propelling him upwards, and over the portal and Beo, coming up behind him, and striking the villainous man in the back, with blue lightning charged hands.
"Royal blue lightning, my dear boy you really are just full of mysteries and surprises aren't you?" Beo laughed.
"An' yet you don't seem to be falling back to the ground, why is that?" Scythe asked.
"Oh I'm terribly sorry, it must have slipped my mind, you see ever since leaving my humanity behind, I've been able to fly naturally." Beo smirked. "An' I must say, while I can't generally feel pain, your magic seems to be causing me quite a bit of it, why is that?"
"Ever heard of a Godslayer?" Scythe asked, clotheslining Beo with a kick to the abdomen, moving too fast for Beo to see. The kick sent Beo flying through the air, towards the main office building of the company Ginger ran, and stopped mere inches before hitting the glass to the CEO's office.
"A Godslayer. Now that is troubling indeed my boy." Beo said with a frown. "If you're a Godslayer Sorcerer, and you have a hyper regenerative healing factor, then it's no wonder you were chosen to be a Celestial Knight from the order."
"Oh you've got that all wrong." Scythe exclaimed appearing out of nowhere to grab him by the throat, and throw him into the air. "I wasn't chosen to be a Knight from another Knight. I was Knight, by a divine Celestial Being personally."
Beo's eyes widened, and if he had pupils, they'd have shrunk in horror, as Scythe threw him about, slamming hit after hit into him. Beo had never heard of anyone but the first Celestial Knight and his successors, being Knighted by a Celestial Being, personally.
"So, now comes a decision you have to make." Scythe said, gripping Beo by his cape, and swinging down throwing Beo back onto the roof he and Iskandar were on. "Either die by my hands resisting, or you can accept your fate peacefully."
"Hehehe. I must admit my boy, you surprised me and I do find it to be quite the problem having a Celestial Knight on our tails, who was knighted by a Celestial Being. So I think we're just gonna have to postpone this little game of tag of ours, and leave." Beo said, picking himself up as a portal opened behind him. "Until next time, my dear boy."
"Oh no you don't." Scythe shouted, rushing to grab Beo, but wasn't fast enough. A minute later, as he turned towards the CEO Head Office building, a bright purple light illuminated itself from inside the CEO's office, and Scythe could no longer could sense the presence of Beo or his accomplice, within the building.
(End Song…)
"Damn it, they got away." Scythe growled.
"At least they're no longer on this world young prince. Job well done." Iskandar said.
"Job's not done. Not until I find and take out Beo and his accomplice." Scythe said. "Return to Wendy, tell her to meet me in the Celestial Armory, and tell the others that a guard patrol is meant to be on Mimi, Rose, Megan, and Jack until it is confirmed they are no longer being targeted."
"Understood." Iskandar said, before disappearing.
Packing up his gear, Scythe returned to the Celestial Armory, and returned to the main office where Shirou and Rin currently were.
"I failed." Scythe said. "Beo and his accomplice got away."
"You gave him a good thrashing, and that tells us he's scared of you. You're easily able to counteract any and all magic he throws at you." Shirou exclaimed. "You didn't fail, we just learned that he does have a weakness, a fear."
"Which is?"
"He's completely terrified by someone who's more powerful than him, which will most likely result in him trying to make himself stronger. Which means the hunt is still on." Rin stated. "Given that it's taking everything he has just to fly through dimensions, we're easily able to track his location. It will take some time before he stops, so we'll call you when we're ready to send you to his next location."
"All right." Scythe sighed.
"In the meantime, I'd recommend you go and train some on the fifth level, knowing your opponent, he's not just gonna be running to lick his wounds. He'll be getting stronger, and he won't take this defeat lying down." Shirou explained.
"Right." Scythe said, but before he could leave, he noticed an open icebox full of blood bags. "What are these?"
"Those are experimental drugs made from Beast Man DNA, meant to be given as transfusions. They're known as Beast Man DNA Re-Agents." Shirou exclaimed. "Virgo was supposed to file those away in the vault with the rest of the contraband. Would you mind doing that for me before heading for training?"
"Sure thing." Scythe exclaimed.
Grabbing the icebox, Scythe left the office for the vault. The moment he was gone, Rin began speaking with Shirou.
"You know he's gonna grab two of those right? One for him and the other for Wendy?" Rin questioned.
"Why do you think I had him be the one to take them to the contraband vault instead of Virgo?" Shirou questioned.
Rin was quiet for a moment, staring at him blankly, allowing what he said to sink in.
"You intentionally left the box open, so he would get curious about the contents, and grab them after he was out of our sight." Rin exclaimed.
"You know me to well dear." Shirou chuckled.
"Do you even know what's gonna happen to him if he transfuses those into his bloodstream?" Rin asked.
"At most, his inner animal is gonna be brought up to the surface, and the same will be for Wendy. Though, they won't have to stay at just one animal, it'll be more like they can access the entire animal kingdom." Shirou stated. "It'll just basically be a magicless version of Takeover Magic."
"I hope you know what you're doing." Rin sighed.
"I know what I'm doing… mostly."
"That doesn't exactly fill me with confidence."

"So are you sure you both have to go now?" Rose asked.
"I'm afraid so. Our targets have moved and we don't have the luxury of waiting for them to come to us." Scythe said. "We thank you for your hospitality, and for housing us. We apologize for any discord we might have caused in your household with the revelation of Rose's true recovery."
"It's fine, I would have found out eventually, and I'm glad it's been resorted." Karen exclaimed. "Feel free to come by any time, and we'll be more than happy to house you."
"Don't forget to stop by for another D&D night. I'm sure you'll be surprised with who's going to be joining us." Rose smiled giving Wendy a hug.
"I will, but remember to ask, next time you alter our characters." Wendy chuckled.
"Deal." Rose smiled.
Taking Scythe's hand, the married couple waved farewell to the friends they made in that world, but before disappearing, Scythe spoke one last thing.
"Tell Frank I hope he appreciates his new CEO position, I got him." Scythe smiled before he and Wendy were back in the Celestial Armory.
"Did you really have to make Frank the CEO of the same military contracted company that was forcing Rose to be a lab rat?" Wendy asked.
"Well, look at it this way. Now he doesn't have to worry about his daughter being used as a weapon, because he'll be calling the shots." Scythe exclaimed.
"Valid point." Wendy exclaimed.
"Now come on, we're going to training level five for a bit." Scythe stated.
"What for?"
"We're going to be getting a power boost." Scythe said, showing her the two blood bags of DNA Re-Agent.
"What are those Scythe?" Wendy asked.
"They're not steroids if that's what you're concerned about." Scythe stated. "These are Re-Agents made from Beast Men DNA, they should help our muscles and bodies withstand any high physical intense training or missions we go on. They'll give us keener senses, and they'll practically make us animals."
"Are they safe?" Wendy asked as they took the lift to training level five.
"They are. I've seen the charts and these are completely safe for the body to handle, we just need to inject ourselves with the I.V. needles, and let out bodies absorb them." Scythe exclaimed.
"So why training level five?" Wendy asked.
"We're gonna train to get our bodies used to the adjustments the Re-Agents will cause." Scythe said, escorting her to a table like rock structure where there were two I.V. towers with unused needles and blood tubes. "I'm not gonna force you to take it with me Wendy, if you feel uncomfortable…"
"Who said anything about me being uncomfortable or scared about this? I have to get stronger if I'm to keep up with you, and you're already leagues ahead of me, so let's do this." Wendy said, sitting down at one of the tables. "I'm ready to unleash the beast."
