A/N: Happy Weekend!
"This is the last box," Harry told Arthur as he handed it over.
Ginny leaned against the side of the car and sighed. "That was tiring."
Harry frowned at her. "You did a lot, yeah," he said sarcastically, even though he had insisted she shouldn't carry anything heavy.
"I packed a lot this morning!" she argued, smiling brightly.
Arthur closed the boot of the car.
"I told you to start yesterday." He couldn't quite understand how she could leave it for the last minute. "Here is some advice; don't even bother unpacking half of those before we move." He shook his head warily. "You'd be late to your own moving day!"
Ginny shot a look at her dad.
"Let's see if Ron is done packing," Arthur suggested gently.
They walked back towards the building.
"Is this a family trait?" Harry asked Ginny. "I need to anticipate for when that nugget goes off to college. I would need to be bright and early."
She snorted. "You are so dramatic. We'll all be done on time."
"Is it worth the stress?" he replied, putting his arm around her shoulders.
"No one was stressed."
He huffed. "Am I no one?"
She patted his hand. "Maybe you can talk to Hermione about creating a schedule for our move."
"I know you are joking, but I'd consider it."
Arthur held open the door for them and they walked in.
"A schedule could be a good idea," Arthur chimed in as they began walking up the stairs. "There will be plenty of people, so it's better if you know who is doing what before you start."
Harry offered Ginny a smug smile.
She shook her head. "We all know you're going to give me the stupid tasks because what if I hurt myself?"
"It's good to know we're all on the same page," Harry told her. "You can be in charge of the schedule and order us around instead."
She cocked her head. "I do like the sound of that."
"Thought you might," he muttered as they started walking down the corridor.
"Right on time!" Ron said when they entered his dorm. "I just finished packing." Which was doubtful, it was more likely that Molly had taken the lead and that he had 'helped'.
"See?" Ginny bumped him lightly with her elbow. "All right on time."
"Aren't you a little sad you are not graduating now? If you hadn't missed a year..." Ginny asked as they entered the Ceremony Hall.
"Like I would have gotten anywhere without you," Harry commented.
"What do you mean?" Ginny asked. He was always the one studying ahead and was generally more organised than her.
He turned around to her. "I wouldn't have been able to sit through most of those classes without your running commentary." He shrugged. "And knowing you'd join me studying made me motivated to keep track of my notes and make sure I was ahead."
He walked into a row and Ginny followed, her parents close behind.
"Aww, Harry," she let out softly. "Really?"
He stopped somewhere midway through the row and they both sat down. He looked at her warily. "Yes, of course. I thought you knew that."
She hugged him from her seat. "That's so sweet."
"I am confused," Harry said as she released him. He shot her a wary look. "Isn't that why we study together?"
Ginny settled in her seat. "Honestly, I just thought you liked spending time together."
Harry let out a laugh as he facepalmed. "Yes, that too."
Ginny bent towards her mum. "You should keep an eye out for one of the girls they'll call up first. She set a new record for highest grades."
Her mum shot her a wary look. "Why?"
"Her name is Hermione," Ginny said.
Her mother nodded in understanding. "Ron likes her, doesn't he?"
She grinned. "I think so."
"Are you tattling on your brother?" Harry asked as he leaned in.
She turned to look at Harry. "I still haven't forgiven him for all of this, including telling mum they stuck us in a closet."
"What did you do in there?" her mum asked casually.
Ginny's eyes widened. "Talked."
Molly nodded slowly. "Of course."
"If that's what I call talking..." Harry muttered, low enough that her mum couldn't hear.
She sighed as she turned to her mother. "Harry kissed me."
"Don't make it sound like you weren't a willing participant," he told her with a frown.
Ginny was relieved when the ceremony started, and she didn't have to continue the conversation.
Ginny kissed Harry again. "You're definitely back on Monday, right?"
He nodded. "It's a boot camp. They have a set schedule so I should be back latest by evening."
She knew it wasn't that long, but they hadn't spent much time apart lately. Harry would not have access to his phone so she wouldn't hear from him at all.
"Take good care of the nugget, okay?" he said, a hand shifting over her belly.
She met his eyes. "I am just going to sit in the garden and chill—nothing is going to happen."
"Then don't get a sunstroke, drink plenty..." he rattled off.
"Harry," she stopped him. "I am not a total idiot. I'll be fine; I've got my mum watching my every move."
He let out a big breath. "I know."
His hand came to her cheek and he pulled her close again. He kissed her slowly, keeping her close to him. Her hands came around his neck and... both their phones pinged.

You can thank me for distracting mum and dad by graduating. You're welcome
GINNY:
Don't be dramatic. They don't care
LUNA:
How long are you not going to see each other?
RON:

RON:

GINNY:

SEAMUS:
Wrap it up guys, I want to say goodbye to you all
BF(F) ️:
Seamus we're returning next year. I already said goodbye to Neville and I am pretty sure I'll be seeing Ron plenty this summer. And Hermione I think I'll see again too.
SEAMUS:
It's not a proper goodbye without you two, come on
Harry looked at her. "I guess it's time." He kissed her softly.
She took his hand, and they walked back from the quiet corner to the group waiting for them. They gathered in a circle.
"Three are leaving us this year," Seamus said solemnly. "They'll be missed. And Hinny will not be at the dorms anymore."
She frowned. "Did you just refer to us as one person?"
Seamus did not respond. "I am going to miss all you fuckers."
"You all need to keep us updated on life events," Hermione said, looking at all of them in turn. "Don't ghost us."
"No one is ghosting anyone," Ginny assured her. "And if my assumptions for couples are correct..." She grinned, happy to cause just a little chaos before they split.
Both Dean and her brother looked a little alarmed.
"You said no meddling!" Luna argued.
She shook her head. "I am not. I am just saying we are tied together more than you think. And we'll all keep in touch. And you're all going to have to come meet the nugget in a few months." There was no arguing about that. They would have to.
Cho smiled. "Of course."
"Group hug!" Luna yelled.
Arms were thrown around her while she was squished between her friends in a warm hug. They released each other. They said another goodbye and the group split, heading home for the summer.
"I should get going," Harry said. "And your parents are waiting for you."
As they walked to Harry's car, Ron was walking to his car too. He sighed as he spotted them.
"Am I going to have to witness more snogging?" he complained.
Harry shot Ginny a look. "I think he's jealous."
She hummed in agreement. Harry let go of her hand and walked up to Ron.
"Harry, stop it." Ron took a step back but then reluctantly held out his arms.
Harry hugged him and Ron wrapped his arms around him with a sigh. Harry patted his back.
"Git," Ron said.
"Prat."
Harry placed a kiss on Ron's cheek, who spluttered in objection.
"I am going to see you on Monday, you bastard! Keep the kissing limited to my sister, please!" Ron said, escaping the hug.
Harry released him with a laugh. He looked at her. "I think that means we got your brother's approval to kiss."
"See you!" Ron took off to his car at a quick pace, possibly to avoid having to witness any more kissing.
When they reached Harry's car, he turned around to her.
"Love you," she said, locking eyes with him. "Have fun at booty camp and I'll see you on Monday."
His eyebrows raised. "Booty camp?"
"Sounds like more fun," she said with a shrug.
He snorted. "Bye, Gin. Love you." He kissed her.
She stepped back as he got into his car. She waved as he drove off and then walked back towards her parents. On her way, she came across Felicia.
"Goodbye," she said, hoping that would be it.
"If we have to share a dorm again—" Felicia started.
"Let me stop you there," Ginny said. "I will be renting an apartment outside the dorms. So don't worry, I'll stay out of your hair."
Felicia looked a little dumbfounded, her brow furrowed. "With what money?"
Ginny took a sharp breath in.
"Not yours, we all know you and your scrappy family are dirt-poor," she said, looking her up and down.
"Is that it? Is that why you have been giving me shit all year? Because I wasn't born into money?" Ginny shot back. That would explain why she hated Harry less, though only slightly.
Felicia sighed as if Ginny had said something incredibly stupid. "It's not your fault. We're just different. We run in different circles." She shot another judging look at Ginny.
Ginny took a deep breath to calm herself. Felicia was not worth it. She walked around her former roommate. "Bye, Felicia." She briskly walked back to her parents. She stepped between them and hugged them both to her. "Let's go home."
Molly squeezed her closer. "Thank you for letting us drive you home one last time." Her eyes were tearful.
Ginny smiled softly. "I needed that too. Can't believe this is the last time..."
"There will be new things to enjoy together," Molly said.
She swallowed. "Mum, please don't make me cry because I will sob and I still have some of my dignity left."
Her mum chuckled and hugged her tightly for a moment. "Alright, alright."
Harry parked his car in the underground parking lot and then stepped into the elevator. He dug his badge out of his pocket and scanned it before pressing the button.
He waved to the guy manning the front desk and then turned to the left. His parents had texted they were by the interrogation rooms, so he headed there. He had about an hour before he had to be in the training hall for the boot camp.
"Hi, my baby," Lily said, wrapping him in a hug. "Got everything settled at home?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I just planted the boxes down in my room. I'll have a look at it when I'm back."
"In here." A firm hand came on Harry's shoulder and led him to the interrogation room nearest to them. He recognised the voice as Sirius's.
His mom grimaced apologetically. "We tried to talk him out of this, but he didn't want to hear it."
Harry shot them a worried look and wanted to ask what this was about, but Sirius firmly pushed him into the room. Sirius planted him on a chair and sat across from him, looking stern. If Harry hadn't known Sirius for all of his life, he might have been scared.
"So," Sirius started. "You got a girl pregnant."
Harry froze for a moment in surprise; Sirius was the first person to attempt to scold him on the situation. He shifted in his chair. "Don't say it like that."
"What is it then?" Sirius asked, his face taut.
Though Sirius's gaze made him uncomfortable, and he didn't feel like being scolded, he felt somewhat relieved too. Finally someone would tell him he messed up. It would be the truth he needed to hear.
"My girlfriend is pregnant," he offered instead.
"How far along is she?" Sirius asked.
Harry knew where this was going; Sirius would already have all the information. "A little over three months."
Sirius nodded slowly. "And you have been dating for how long?"
"A little over three months," Harry replied reluctantly.
"Right," Sirius snipped. "You are very adamant about not dating. You refuse to do it." He stared at Harry with an icy gaze. "Now you have a girlfriend all of a sudden, along with a baby on the way?"
Harry stared at the table in front of him, so he didn't have to look at Sirius's cold expression anymore. "It was an accident," he mumbled. "I changed my mind."
"You changed your mind?!"
Sirius shot off his chair and Harry nearly jumped. His godfather had never treated him like this. Harry looked at him, too startled to speak.
"You find a girl, think she is nice and immediately get into bed with her?" Sirius continued.
Harry slumped in his chair. "That's not how it was meant to go. It just happened." He shook his head, letting out a big sigh. There had been guilt simmering for some time, but he hadn't talked about it to anyone. "She was meant to find a good guy, get married and then have kids. It's a bit of a mess."
Sirius appeared surprised at his admission and his posture deflated, his tone calm. He rested his hands on the table as he bent towards Harry. "Did you convince her to keep the baby?"
"Of course not!" he let out. "It was her choice. And though I wanted that too, I would have supported her either way." He paused. "And I know better than telling Ginny Weasley what to do."
Sirius let himself drop back into his chair. His eyebrows rose high at the familiar name. "The Weasley girl? You are having a baby with someone who has been your dearest, closest friend for years? The one you'd let cry on your shoulder when another guy broke her heart?"
Harry remained silent, trying to discern Sirius's opinion on the matter, but his godfather was too collected to tell.
"The one you call your partner in crime?" Sirius continued. "You're dating her, and having a baby together?"
Tears dropped from Harry's eyes. "Yes. She makes me so happy and—and I wanted to have kids with her later, when it was the right time." He shook his head. "It's all backwards and she deserves her big romance, but now she has to settle for this."
Sirius reached across the table and patted his hand. "Now don't go wallowing in self-pity, Harry."
He wiped his tears away, embarrassed by them and sighed.
"Let me recap." Sirius relaxed back in his chair. "You fell in love with your best friend, who loves you back. You're having a baby together and you both want this baby?"
Harry nodded.
"Then let go of the guilt, Harry. It's not going to serve you. If she is happy to be with you then that's all there is to it," Sirius told him carefully.
"It just feels a bit mixed up, it isn't right," he argued.
Sirius waved his hand dismissively. "Rules made up by society. As long as it works for you, who cares about the rest?"
Harry bit his lip, thinking it over. "I suppose you're right about that."
"Of course." Sirius smiled. "Now let me see a picture of her."
Harry fished his phone out of his pocket and selected a photo of her. Harry took out his phone and showed it to Sirius.
"Oh, you poor boy have a folder entirely dedicated to her?" Sirius noted, glancing at him.
"Well yeah, she's gorgeous." What started as just a few photos of Ginny, had now grown into a folder of pictures of them together, of Ginny simply smiling at him or doing mundane things. Most recently photos of her bump and the ultrasound.
"I must meet her sometime," Sirius said, handing his phone back.
"That can be arranged," he said. "You'd like her. She is quite feisty and stubborn at times."
"I am not surprised; Potters are not about the dull life."
Harry laughed out loud, which caused Sirius to offer him a puzzled look.
"She broke up with a perfectly nice guy once, because she thought he was too dull and boring," he explained.
"Right," Sirius said with an amused expression. "So she's perfect for you?"
He smiled. "I am afraid so."
Sirius stood up again. "Come on."
Harry followed Sirius out of the interrogation room, glad that conversation was over. His parents were still waiting for him in the corridor.
Sirius shook his head. "How have we become so old that the kids are now having kids?"
James patted his back. "You don't have to tell me, I know. I am going to be a grandpa already!"
"So what's the opinion on the girl from you two?" Sirius asked as if Harry wasn't really there.
Lily smiled, glancing at him before answering. "She's been coming around the house for years. They clearly got along. I always hoped but... Harry assured me multiple times that there was nothing going on."
Harry closed his eyes for a moment and sighed. "Alright. Everyone has made their point now."
Remus appeared from around the corner and walked towards them.
"Have you heard?" Sirius asked him. "We're going to be uncles again."
Remus's eyebrows rose and he looked over at Lily and James.
"Not us," James said with a quick shake of his head. "Our boy over there is having a baby."
Remus looked over at him in surprise and so Harry nodded. "It is true."
Remus's face broke out in a smile, and he wrapped Harry into a hug. "Congratulations!" He patted Harry on the back before releasing him.
Harry met eyes with Sirius. "See? That's a normal response."
Sirius shrugged and they shared a look of understanding. Harry was glad they had that talk.
He glanced at his watch. "I need to leave soon."
"Me too," Sirius said.
Harry's eyebrows rose. "You're joining?"
"Hell yeah," Sirius said. "I love training you young 'uns."
"Then why didn't you become an official trainer?" Harry shot back.
Sirius pursed his lips, opened his mouth, then closed it again. "I like the fieldwork, okay?"
"Evening," Harry greeted Kingsley as he entered the training hall. He walked up to Gawain. "What do you have for me?"
Gawain pointed at the rifle. "You will be on sniper duty."
Harry looked at the rifle with some disappointment. Being in a sniper position would mean sitting still for perhaps hours on end. The weekend would last forever, and it really wasn't what he needed right now.
"What? You're not happy with that, Potter?" Gawain asked.
Harry let out a small huff. "You know I prefer getting involved in the action."
A bark of laughter came from behind and he turned around to see Sirius enter the hall.
"You do like some action," Sirius said with a laugh, continuing to the other table.
Kingsley appeared to be biting back a smile too. At least Gawain didn't seem amused.
"Does everyone know?" Harry asked Sirius.
He shook his head. "Kingsley had to approve your leave and then let's see... everyone I've walked into since last week..."
"What's Black on about?" Gawain asked.
"I am having a baby," Harry told him. "It wasn't exactly planned so Sirius is trying to get on my nerves."
Sirius gasped. "I wasn't trying at all. It is easy to tease you... You'd think you'd have learned from your parents' mistake."
"Thank you," Harry replied sarcastically. He turned back to Gawain and took up the rifle. "I am fine with sniper."
"I know you don't like it, that's why I gave it to you. All skills need training," Gawain said with a calm look.
"My aim is fine," Harry said, ignoring Sirius' muted chuckle.
"Briefing starts at 3.30 AM, you'll be out in the field by 5. Get to sleep on time," Gawain said. "Pass by Mr Black for the rest of your items."
