AN: AGAIN, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WRITING A COMPLETE STORY AND USING FANFICTION, SO FROGIVE FOR ANY DELAYS. WITHOUT FURTHER TO DO, LETS GET STARTED.

Prologue

No one ever said it was easy to work alongside a noble. No one even said it be easy to actually GET to work for a noble. And yet Silvanus did it. He did it in most of his years, advised lord Adam on what was good for the people and who he would suggest listening to. Sure, the fox was arrogant and had a temper, but Silvanus knew he was on the noble's good side.

Until he meant Isabel. Sure, he was fine with Adam getting a wife. After all, who was he to judge? But Isabel seemed to dislike him, and she made sure he knew it by glaring daggers at him. He usually ignored her.

Until the vixen surprising asked him to take a stroll with her in the garden. That caught him by surprise but accepted this invitation…reluctantly. Something about the walk around the garden seemed off, as if it was too good to be true to the white hound. It also seemed that someone was watching them both. This thought crossed his mind as he read the Voynich manuscript near the fireplace, the fire giving off an orange glow. The bounding the door interrupted his thoughts.

"Enter" Silvanus spoke.

A boar with knight's armor, minus the helmet, poked his head through the door with a sour look on his face. Silvanus instantly knew he was Agya

"Lord Robin would like to see you." The pig said it as if he had something better to do.

Silvanus closed the manuscript, stood up, and walked across the room to meet Agya to cross the hall. Silvanus's room was fairly close to Adam's.

"So, what does lord Adam want with me" asked Silvanus, worried that he might not want to know the answer.

"Am I also required to make conversation with you?" Agya grumbled, clearly unhappy.

Silvanus frowned. The boar was only happy if he was fighting someone or something, which was probably why Adam considered making Agya his executioner. The reason he didn't was because the boar was rather barbarous, and anyone could tell by just one glance at his armor. His chest plate had a multitude of dents on it, his leggings had scratches on it, a shoulder plate was missing, and his armor looked like he just went to battle with it and didn't clean it afterwards, plus, he also had a double-edged axe situated on his back.

"Besides," Agya grunted. "How am I supposed to know?"

"Oh, I'm sorry," Silvanus snapped sarcastically. "I thought Lord Adam sent you to escort me to him."

The boar snorted. "I suppose you do have a point, but the only thing I noticed is that he seemed rather cross."

"About what?" asked Silvanus, already knowing the answer.

"Not my business," Agya snorted again.

Silvanus sighed "you're probably more interested if another war of the roses happened."

Agya scowled "that war was pointless. The linage died out in just a few years."

"At least king henry got us a decent queen." Silvanus pointed out.

Agya grunted "and he married six times and also gave us bloody Mary."

"He did take Boulogne." Silvanus stated.

"And gave it back for payment." The boar growled, going up to the door knocker and slamming it three times.

"AGYA" the rage-filled voice of Adam shouted, causing Silvanus to jump "I HOPE YOU BROUGHT THAT HOUND IN ONE PIECE!"

The boar rolled his eyes, remarkably undaunted "yes, lord Adam."

"THEN BRING HIM IN!" the noble bellowed.

Agya opened the door. The walls were made of stone, which were covered in tapestries. On the upper left corner was a bed facing the wall next to a bookshelf, which was next to a fireplace. Hovering over it was Isabel, in a fabulous, slender, red dress with a flower design knitted in golden silk. Silvanus remembered at Adam's wedding, he enchanted that dress to never wither, or get dirty. In the center on the room was Lord Adam Hood. The left side of his red hat curved straight up, right next to three black feathers. His red tailcoat had five emeralds on the center of in in a straight vertical line, his red side cape covering his left arm, yellow pants and black boots. He closed his eyes, as if he was disappointed with a son.

"Silvanus," Adam spoke with spite, "I trusted you with my life."

There was a pause, then Silvanus realized the fox was waiting for a response.

"Yes?" Silvanus replied.

"Then tell me," Adam growled, opening his eyes, "why I saw you walking in the garden with my wife."

Though he knew what was coming, Silvanus was confused.

"Because she asked me to." Silvanus claimed. Agya was looking at his axe as if he was reading an interesting book, something that Silvanus doubted the boar will ever do.

"Really" Adam hissed "then why does she say that you wanted to marry her."

This caught Silvanus by surprise. "I assure you, my lord, that I did not-"

"You dare slander about my wife!?" the fox snarled.

"What? No!" the hound sputtered, worried "I-I swear on my life that I would never-"

"Spare your forgery before I consider execution." Adam threatened. Agya looked up when the noble said the word "execution". Silvanus fell silent.

"Tell me the truth now Silvanus" Adam hissed once more. Silvanus hesitated.

"My lord" he said firmly, "I assure you that my walk with Isabel was just a simple stroll."

Adam closed his eyes, as if warding off a migraine.

"Then you will be exiled to Sherwood Forest." Adam responded calmly.

"What?" Silvanus said, processing what he just said.

"Consider yourself lucky that I am not executing you." Adam spoke. "Agya, show him the door."

The boar frowned. He put away his axe, grasped Silvanus by the arm, and dragged him out of the manor.

Isabel smirked. Little did she know that she made a grave mistake. That she created a monster. That her life will be at risk.
