"You ready?" Phil asked me as I came out of my room with my luggage.

"Yeah." I said and he looked surprised when he saw the size of my bag.

"What are you taking?" he asked me and I rolled my eyes. I had my biggest suitcase for 5 days because I needed work clothes, nice clothes, relaxing clothes, sleeping clothes, and who knows what else for this trip. Tony had already sent me an invite to a party. Shaun said to bring something nice, and I had to be at the event.

"I have lots to plans." I deadpanned and he shook his head as we grabbed everything else we needed.

We went to the airport and got onto the private plan that was there for Tony, Phil, Max, Kenny, myself, and a few other people in the company. I was glad that Tony always invited us to go on the plane... I kind of feel as if I had gotten spoiled. We boarded and were given drinks. I was excited to go see Shaun. I had talked to him daily and I really did like him.

"You excited?" Phil asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, I really like him." I admitted and he chuckled.

"I think he's good for you." he said and I was surprised to hear that, but glad to hear it at the same time.

The plane took off and we all settled into a quiet ride. I was working on a few things, Phil was reading a book, and other people were doing their own things with headphones on. I kept feeling like someone was watching me and I looked up to see Tony watching me. He gave a small wave, and I quickly joined him.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked him and he shrugged.

"Just nervous about this week." he admitted and I knew that Tony confided in me a lot more than most people.

"What's going on?" I asked him.

"The show, and these parties. We are trying to grow enough to have an office out on the west coast. It's a lot for the company. I don't want to mess it up." he said and I nodded. I knew that AEW wasn't struggling, but still growing. They wanted to grow faster than they were ready might be the biggest problem. I talked to Tony for a little while before they started handing out more food. I sat back with Phil and sighed.

"How did you ever get to be his counsel?" he mumbled to me, and I shrugged. I knew he was asking quietly because certain people liked to gossip.

"Comes with the last name?" I joked and he rolled his eyes.

"Right." he said as they handed us some food.

The rest of the plane ride went smoothly. I was glad for it to be over... it was a long plane ride. We were greeted with SUV's to take us to the hotel. I was going to stay with Phil, but Tony insisted on getting me a room in case. Phil rode with me to check in at the Hotel Figueroa near the Staples Center. I had to admit the room was nice.

"Maybe you should stay here." he joked when he saw it.

"I honestly think I will." I said and he looked surprised.

"You and AJ need your time. You guys have helped me so much that I am fine here." I said and he gave a small smile.

"It's up to you." he said.

"I will be ok here, but I will come with you tonight to say hi." I said and he nodded.

"Good because I know AJ wants to see you, and I'm sure Shaun won't be too far behind." he said and I chuckled. He wasn't wrong because Shaun had already texted me to see if we had landed. We left my stuff and took the subway over to the place station closest to their condo. We took an Uber the 4 miles from the station, and went to Phil's condo. He unlocked the door and we were greeted with Joe, Jessica, AJ, Shaun, Chris (Hero), Daniel (Cash), Kofi, and Ace waiting for us. They yelled surprise and I glanced at Phil. I was surprised to see a few of them.

"What is this?" Phil asked as he took Larry from AJ.

"An excuse to get together with friends." she said as she pulled me into a hug. I ended up hugging her and then going straight to Shaun.

"I'm glad you're here." he said and I smiled at him.

"Me too." I said as Kofi walked over to us.

"So, you're the reason he's nicer backstage." he said and I smirked. I had known Kofi a long time since I had made most of his ring gear.

"Maybe, how have you been?" I asked him.

I talked to him as we got into the food that AJ and a few other people had set out. I was happy to be around everyone. I hadn't seen Jessica in a while, and it was good to see Chris again. I knew it had been years at this point. The night was winding down as everyone started to go back to their hotels or other places.

"Are you staying here?" Shaun asked me and I shook my head no.

"No, I want Phil and AJ to get some time together." I said and he nodded.

"Where are you staying?" he asked me.

"Hotel Figueroa... it's near the Staples Center." I said and he nodded.

"Do you want to come back for a drink at the bar?" I asked him and he smiled at me.

"I wasn't ready to end the night yet." he said and I smiled at him.

I told Phil and AJ I would see them tomorrow. Shaun told them bye, and I told a few others bye before we headed to an Uber. We were going to take the subway since it was faster than riding through the town. We were sitting in comfortable silence on the subway as we changed stations and got back to the hotel. He offered me his arm as we walked into the bar area. I was immediately spotted by Kenny and Max. They waved to me and I waved back.

"Come join us." Max said and I looked at Shaun. I knew that he was jealous of the other night when I had dinner with Max.

"Sure, let me meet this fucker you hang out with." he mumbled and I smirked. We ordered drinks and joined them.

"Kenny, Max... this is Shaun." I said and they all shook hands.

"You're LA Knight?" Kenny asked him and he nodded as he took a sip of his beer.

We all talked about wrestling and traveling as we sipped on a few beers. I was glad when it was time to leave though because I wanted my time with Shaun. They left and we headed out to the nearly abandoned pool deck with our drinks.

"I'm sorry about that." I said and he chuckled.

"They aren't nearly as insufferable as I imagined they would be." he said and I smirked.

"Thanks." I said and he nodded as we sat near the outdoor fireplace they had turned on.

"I do need something for going through all that." he said and I looked at him.

"Yeah, what, a cookie?" I asked him and he smirked. I was surprised when he ran his hand up my cheek and carefully pressed his lips to mine. I was surprised because this was our first kiss.

"I have wanted to do that since you got here." he mumbled against my lips and I smiled as I pressed my lips back to his.
