Premise
The Kingdom of Brilliance has been connected to Earth through the Crystal Gateway since the beginning of time. From the Kingdom, Queen Miyuka watched over her denizens and the two worlds, maintaining hope and dreams in all living things.
But on the Honoring of Crystals, an important annual festivity, Eclipse invades and corrupts the Crystal Rainbow Crown and the five colored gems, scattering them across Earth, Japan.
The kingdom falls into despair. Every citizen is turned into a shapeless shadow form, stripped of all hope and light and forced to wander aimlessly.
Cure Ruby, a long-time legendary Precure stationed to defend the princess, is sent away in the ensuing chaos across the Crystal Gateway in order to survive, before the royal family succumbs to the same fate. With her travels her fairy companion and the Crown in hopes she can find other Precure and stand against Eclipse.
