Chapter 6: More about town and the Monster in the woods.
Crossover Town Colorado, September 16th 2012, Crossover Elementary, 2:30 PM.
School couldn't have ended sooner for Mabel, As she and her new Friends, Nick and Megan made their way to the Bus, climbed aboard and continued to laugh and joke together as if they were old friends.
"And so then, Grunkle Stan had to do a whole song, about how he was wrong, and he had to wear a cute little orange suit and do little dances."
"Jesus, This Gravity Falls place sounds like a blast!" Exclaimed Nick. "You sure weren't bored this summer."
"Yeah, Gravity Falls was great." Said Mabel, before her expression turned melancholy. "I just wish… I could be there now."
Nick and Megan could see Mabel was not Happy.
"Hey." Said Megan. "I know it's not easy… getting settled in a new place, Believe me, I know."
"You mean like ending up in a Fourth Grade class?"
"Uh… Something like that… I guess." Megan said, rethinking where she was going with what she had to say. "But, I've recently moved here too, Not much of a choice to be honest…"
Mabel looked at Megan with Interest. "Why not?"
"Well, Two Years ago, My old home was… Let's just say, not the least bit pleasant." Explained Megan.
Flashback.
Megan: It was under siege from other Villain Factions, So my Dad moved me and the rest of our family here, to Crossover Town to keep us out of the War. I didn't really like it at first. But over time… I kinda got the hang of it, Thanks to a few friends."
Flashback End.
"Was… that supposed to go somewhere?" Asked Mabel.
"What do you mean?" Asked Megan.
"What was the point of that Story?" Asked Mabel incredulously. "Was it supposed to correlate me into eventually accepting this town as my new home? Or something?"
"Well sorry, I was just trying to sympathize." Megan shrugged defensively.
"Were you chased by Rats through your destroyed Town?" Mabel asked.
"Uh…l not exactly." Megan said, taken aback by her response.
"Yeah, then I don't really see the point, Sorry."
Nick and Megan stared blankly at Mabel.
"Jesus, What hurt you?" Asked Nick.
Soon the Bus came to it's next assigned stop, Mabel said goodbye to her new Friends and joined Wendy as they dismounted and made their way home, After a brief moment, Wendy decided to speak up.
"So, how was your first day?" Asked Wendy.
"Well, pretty good." Said Mabel, before her voice lowered into a deadpan. "Considering I'm now in a dead end fourth grade class."
"Yeah… Sorry about that." Wendy said, rubbing her arm ruefully. "I-I'm sure it was a misunderstanding, We could talk to mom and dad-"
"Meh, Forget about it." Mabel shrugged. "I still managed to make some friends anyway."
"Really? That's great!"
As the two girls made their way through the street, until they came upon their house, But before Mabel could enter, she thought she noticed something.
A little baby boy dressed in a Yellow shirt and Red overalls was standing near the Road and playing with a toy gun and stuffed bear. (Or at least, that's what it looked like to Mabel.)
"Well Rupert." Said the Baby, as he addressed the Stuffed bear. "If all specifications meet up, I should have successfully upgraded my ray gun to the new Teleportation setting, Like in Rick and Morty."
The Bear said nothing.
"Oh don't give me that kind of criticism, Does it look like I go around telling you the proper way to… uh… t-to pronounce "coolwhip"..."
But before he could continue his… "conversation" he noticed Mabel looking at him.
"Uh…" Out of all the absorbed things Mabel had Sean, The least she was expecting was to see a talking Baby.
"Um, Excuse me." Said the Baby, indignantly. "Y-you mind not staring, I'm in the Middle of something."
There was a long silence.
…
…
…
…
And then Mabel squeed.
The Baby was completely taken aback, When Mabel suddenly squatted down in front of him, getting in his face, and pinching his cheeks.
"OH MY GOD YOU ARE THE CUTEST LITTLE GUY I EVER SEEN!" She screamed as her eyes widened in delight.
The Baby, Completely and utterly disturbed, quickly got out of her grip and backed away as if Mabel was some kind of pedaphile. "Agh! What manner of abomination are you?!"
"Uh, Says the talking Baby." Mabel deadpanned.
The Baby stared for a moment, but before he could do anything, the door to his house opened and out stepped a white anthropomorphic dog with a red collar.
"Stewie?" Asked the Dog. "Hey what's going on?"
The Baby quickly ran up to the Dog, as if it were his parent. "Brian! There's a deranged homicidal serial killer on our lawn!"
The Dog looked at Mabel. "Stewie, it's just some twelve year old girl."
"Thirteen." Corrected Mabel.
"Well tell her to fuck off anyway!" Stewie said. "I've enough stranger danger in this town already, I don't need some midget Taylor Swift with a gut."
Mabel was immediately apologetic. "I'm sorry, It's just that… I've never seen a… talking baby before."
"Well you and the rest of the Neighborhood." Said Stewie. "So who are you anyway?"
"Oh, I'm Mabel." Mabel greeted. "I live right next door to you guys!"
"Really." Asked Brian, before looking over to the other House. "Oh you must be the… the Testaburgers niece."
"Yep, that's me!" Said Mabel, gesturing to herself with her thumbs."
Before Brian or Stewie could respond, Mr Testaburger called out.
"Mabel! Come inside please!"
"Oh, Okay!" Mabel waved goodbye to the Dog and Baby, before heading inside to her house.
"God what a weirdo." Muttered Steele.
"I don't think she was that bad." Shrugged Brian. "Less annoying than that fat kid anyway."
But before Brian and Stewie could head inside, A cry of terror rang out from down the road, Everyone on the block got out of their houses to see what was happening, Two ferrets named Skint and Carl came running through the streets in a frenzied panic, screaming at the top of their longs.
"AGH! HELP!
"MONSTER!
"AGH!"
"MONSTER IN THE WOODS!"
Suddenly a car skidded to a stop in their way, knocking back the Ferrets as they landed on their bottoms. People then gathered around them as they breathed out hurriedly, At that moment, A fat police Officer in a blue uniform stepped through the crowd and pacified the situation.
"Okay People, Settle down, there's nothing to see here." He turned to Carl and Skint. "Now you two tell us what you saw."
"Oh it was Horrible! Just Horrible!" Wailed Carl pathetically.
"I-It was big, Beefy, Angry, A-and it roared in our faces!" Stammered Skint.
Everyone whispered among themselves in surprise.
"Alright, People, I'll talk to the Mayor about this." Said Officer Barbrady. "In the meantime return to your homes, There's nothing to see here."
And with that, The Crowd dispersed, Harrold and Valorie ushered Mabel and Wendy inside.
"No way, A monster?" Wondered Mabel.
"Mabel, Don't you dare go thinking about what I'm sure you're thinking about." Valorie said, waving her finger.
Mable pouted. "Oh come on, I wasn't.
"You're not going to go look for… whatever those Ferrets were babbling about Mabel." Said Harrold sternly. "We don't even know if they're telling the truth."
"Well it would be cool if they were." Mabel insisted. "Then, could we hide it in our home and eventually have a life changing adventure with it?"
Harrold and Valorie looked skeptical at this, Before Harrold knelt down to Mabel's level.
"Mabel, You just got to this town." Said Harrold softly. "We understand this is a big change, but you can't rush into things too quickly. Take some time to get to know this town first, okay?"
"Oh okay." Said Mabel.
Harrold smiled, before ruffling her hair. "That's a good girl, So how was school today?"
Mabel chuckled. "Yeah… about that."

Hey everybody, I hope you enjoy this new chapter. I was planning on getting this up on previous dates, But I had other things to do. I kinda had a few cobwebs to sort out, So sorry if this chapter feels short, But things are starting to get interesting from here on out.
