Having left behind anything currently considered inessential, Wheeljack and Lancex headed to a training room, the largest one as it would have room for two robots to train while having a combat type training against one another. Lancex didn't say it or show it, but he was mildly impressed with the room, as it reminded of the training room he had back home. Wheeljack was just glad to have a worthy opponent to train against, or so he figured.

"Shall we duel as we train?" Wheeljack asked.

"You wish to train by fighting against me? (Jack nods) then so be it" Lancex replied. At that, Jack revealed his twin blades, one in each hand. Lancex studied the bot, and then thought of the perfect weapon to train with – a royal arm known as the Blade of the Mystic. And while only a single sword, it was long and double-edged. Jack was impressed, as few bots presented a challenge for him. This would be fun, or so the wrecker thought.

"En guard" Jack said, crossing his blades in front of him before holding them in an attack position. Lancex used the long blade double edged sword to attack the blades Jack presented. The clang that rang out was tremendously loud. Jack threw the long sword off and tried to thrust against Lancex, but the bot dodged and then struck Jack on the backside with the only non sharp part of the blade, the long sides. Jack was not happy about that but he should have expected it. Lancex took a side swing once again and Wheeljack crossed his blades yet again, though this time while he blocked the sword, he was also sent far across the room. Lancex wasn't even fazed by it, and Jack just got back up and entered the fray once again.

And as the swords clashed in various positions, Optimus, who had secretly followed the pair to see where they would train, watched the fight. He had to admit both were formidable forces to be reckoned with. Optimus was pleased to see such powerful soldiers on his team, but he was even more impressed with Lancex than Wheeljack. Wheeljack was a known hothead, Lancex was not well known for anything per se in this world.

Unaware that he wasn't the only one watching, Predaking was near another area where he could see the pair test their metal but couldn't be seen or see any other bots that might be watching. Predaking knew neither bot, per se, but he was most impressed by Lancex. The bot was quite strong and very capable. Predaking now figured he had to have Lancex no matter what and he would stop although who dare try to thwart him. Little did Predaking realize that this mission to claim Lancex wouldn't be as easy as he hoped.
