As Lancex drove on and headed for his place, Optimus and Predaking stared out the windows. Neither showed it, but the sight of all the terrifying demons that were emerging made them grateful that Lancex was keeping them safe for now. Optimus had seen a lot, but these demons were even worse than anything he had ever seen. And not only were the demons emerging from a dark pool nearby, but the creatures of the night were nothing to mess with either. Optimus now understood why Lancex was not happy to see them, as they had no idea how bad this world could be.
After a while, they seemed to reach Lancex's humble abode. Optimus and Predaking had no idea that what they were seeing was not a normal abode here, it was a special one. But at this point, they weren't about to go out with the demons and other evil night walkers. Lancex parked the car and soon the three carefully got out. "Forgive me for asking, but are you not worried about the demons and creatures of the night getting into your place?" Optimus asked cautiously.
"Fear not, my house is covered by very powerful runes. Should they attempt entry, they will be taken care of. Now, as for you two, GET INSIDE, NOW!" Lancex barked, though only loudly enough for Optimus and Predaking to hear. Seeing the cold glare and serious look on Lancex's face, the pair quickly ran into the house that Lancex had just unlocked. Neither would admit it, but once inside, both felt a little bit of a charge having the submissive bot they both like give them orders. And once all were inside, Lancex quickly locked the safety door followed by another door that would make sure nothing could break in.
Lancex still was not happy to see them here, but he felt a bit more relaxed now that they were safe. "You are free to explore the house, but do not open any doors or windows" Lancex informed the pair. "I will go get us food and drink as energon doesn't work here." Optimus and Predaking nodded, as they went to check the house out. They saw many things that were like items in a earthly human habit like TVs, photos, and other items. One photo in particular drew their attention- a photo of Lancex with four. other humans that were not amongst the humans that Optimus and Predaking has met earlier. They saw in other photos many of the humans they met earlier were there, but not these
It was then that Lancex returned, carrying something like hot chocolate in mugs and a bit of a snack to go with it. After sitting down at the table, they began to enjoy the drink and snack, but then it was soon time to talk.
