After a bit of an arduous hike, Lancex, Optimus and Predaking made their way to their destination though only Lancex knew it. After hearing a terrifying sound the three head for a nearby cliff and see the monstrosity that was terrorizing the chocobo ranch. IT didn't appear as terrifying as it sounded, and Lancex sighed upon seeing the being. Optimus and Predaking were a bit confused, the being looked like an earth cheetah, though it appeared old, had white fur, and had two strange long whiskers. "What kind of creature is that?" Optimus asked.
"It is called an elder coeurl. They are extremely dangerous" Lancex mentioned sharply in a hushed tone.
"Why are they so terrifying?" Predaking asked in a similarly hushed tone.
"They are extremely fast and they can shoot electricity out of those whiskers, which can also be used as a whip as well" Lancex explained. While that didn't sound dangerous, Optimus and Predaking both knew looks could be extremely deceiving, as they were Transformers.
Though both are stunned, Optimus asked, "so what is the plan?" Optimus carefully asked so as not to be overheard.
Lancex studied the scene. He saw two barrels he knew were filled with oil. Only then did he share the plan with Optimus and Predaking. And within minutes, Optimus and Predaking were not fighting just one of the elder coeurl but two, as another had appeared, while Lancex was using waiting near the oil barrels with his fusion sword at the ready. With careful maneuvering, Optimus and Predaking moved the two strange beings closer to the barrels, while Lancex laid in wait, his fusion sword buried deep inside the barrel, waiting to spills it contents if need be, but using it for balance as well.
Seeing that they had completed their portion of the task, Optimus and Predaking backed off. The two elder Coeurl was puzzled and confused. Why were these two strange beings backing off? Lancex was working hard, with his fusion sword and he called forth a red ball that was also a weapon of sorts. Optimus and Predaking noticed that Lancex was balanced precariously as he worked his task, and they wanted to help him, but they didn't want to be under what was going to happen. And they didn't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The two elder Coeurl soon realized that something was going on, but it was too late. Lancex had thrown the red ball object at them and it blew the elder coeurl to kingdom come in pieces with the exception of the whiskers. And on top of where they had been, Lancex's fusion sword seemed to mysteriously appear. Optimus and Predaking were worried as they didn't see Lancex at first, and then he came to them, a bit bruised, but pleased that the mission had been a success. Lancex noticed that the only parts left of the destroyed beings were their whiskers. He picked them up, as they would be proof their task was complete. "Now, our mission is complete, let us head back to the rancher to show him that this task he requested of us is done" Lancex announced. Figuring it was best to go along with it, Optimus and Predaking followed Lancex. One thing the two knew was that this world was much different than the one they knew.
