After fueling up, Optimus and Predaking headed out in search of their wayward friend and potential lover. They decided to head towards hammerhead, assuming that Lancex likely headed in that direction. They had no idea that Lancex had indeed headed there and left a short time before they arrived. Though, once Optimus and Predaking arrived in Hammerhead, they immediately spotted Cor, Cid, Gladilous, and Cindy, but Lancex was nowhere in sight, which saddened the two bots, but they didn't show it. But seeing the others, Optimus and Predaking head over. Cor, having spotted the two, seemed to think he knew exactly why these two were here. "Lancex isn't here" Cor piped up, drawing the attention of the rest of the humans.
"If I may be so bold, May I ask where he has gone?" Optimus asked, while Predaking merely nodded.
"He is out on a hunt. He has one final mission he must compete. He will return in a day or two if he survives the mission" Cor answered.
"I see. Well, since you are very good friends of Lancex and know him much better than we do, is there anyway that you would be willing to tell us more about his past. He is not the most forthcoming in talking about his life" Optimus replied.
"So he told you nothing of his life?" Cid queried.
"He didn't even tell us he wasn't from our world" Predaking revealed. "We learned that went Slugbug sent us here to help him."
"He seems to be a very private bot" Optimus added to Predaking's response. "Is there a reason you ask this of us?"
Gladiolus looked to the others, who nodded as it was time. It was indeed time to start telling the truth about Lancex to these two bots, seeing that he had permission. "Lancex gave me permission to reveal this truth to you: Lancex is a prince, well, in this realm anyway" Gladiolus revealed, stunning Optimus and Predaking, who clearly had no idea.
"If that is indeed true, how is it possible?" Predaking asked, needing to know the truth.
"It is indeed true, I assure you" Cid replied, grabbing something out of a secret pocket that he had held close for years. Only now would he finally be able to explain the full truth behind Lancex that even Cor and Gladiolus didn't know.
