Fearful that he may never see his friends from this world again, Lancex gave hugs to Cid and the others of the group. Lancex knew with war that survival wasn't always guaranteed. After that, Lancex, Optimus, and Predaking headed off for the ruined city of Insomnia in Lancex's regalia.
After an indeterminate amount of time, the trio reached the gate of the ruined citadel. They stop and exit the car, and then, Lancex pulls out a strange looking key, which unlocks the even stranger looking gate and then the three head into the ruined citadel. Upon entering the deserted citadel, all Optimus and Predaking could see was complete and utter destruction and devastation. "Dare I ask what happened here?" Optimus asked, knowing he wasn't going to like the answer.
"It was annihilated by an evil empire and their vile weaponry" Lancex answered as they quickly moved.
"Where are we headed?" Predaking asked.
"Shh…we are almost there" Lancex replied, shushing them. A few minutes later, they are in front of what was once a grand cathedral. It still was pretty grand, but even it showed the ravages of the attack. Optimus tried to ask what was going to happen, but Lancex put up a finger to shush him and then pointed.
Just a short distance from them, something was shifting as well as getting brighter. They weren't sure what was going on until the bright light dimmed and then faded away. Where there once was nothing, a dragon like beast appeared. Not just any old dragon, but a dragon decked out in weaponry and clearly highly regarded known here as the Bahamut. Optimus and Predaking were shocked at the sheer size of this being, it dwarfed them. Both knew they didn't want to upset this being…ever.
Without trepidation or concern, Lancex greeted the enormous dragon being, who in return asked if Lancex was ready to return. Lancex nodded. Bahamut nodded as well, but he didn't seem to move like Lancex expected. It was only once a second mysterious bright light appeared and dimmed that the return to TF world was revealed. For then emerged Slugbug. Optimus knew this bot and knew he was also a powerful being despite his relatively small size. Optimus did have one question, "How are you here, Slugbug?" Optimus asked. Bug refused to reveal his secret but soon opened a portal before encouraging the three to return. The three bots looked at each other, sighed together, and then headed towards the other world. They could only hope it wasn't significantly worse than when they left it. Only time would tell.
