Several days after the awkward med room incident, Lancex once again found himself snuggled between Optimus and Predaking. And while it still felt strange, he was growing to like it. Also, the kisses from the pair were something Lancex enjoyed as well. And while most knew that Optimus and Predaking had talked to Lancex about things, only Ratchet knew that Optimus and Predaking had fully confessed to Lancex about how they felt. All four agreed that the best time to reveal the truth was once the war was over with.
For now, Lancex and the others were in a meeting room, with Ratchet talking about a disturbing and unusual Cybertronian pulse that Ratchet had discovered underground. "I fear this means terrible things" Ratchet started out with.
"Why do you say that?" Arcee asked, trying not to show worry in her voice.
"Because I fear this means that Unicron is waking up, and he is not happy" Ratchet replied bluntly. That was not the news the others wanted to hear…ever. Well, at least the Autobots in the know.
However, unaware of the meaning of all of this, Lancex, Predaking, and the kids were confused. "Who is this Unicron?" Predaking demanded to know. Lancex and the kids also wore expressions of "explain."
"He is an evil deity of sorts and his favorite thing to do is eat planets whole" Ratchet explained, with Optimsu adding more for context.
Aghast and stunned,Lancex asked, "So, what is our plan?", hoping that they had one.
"I was planning on taking a team, consisting of Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Lancex and myself to head to the center of the earth to face Unicron" Optimus announced, though it sounded absolutely absurd.
"And just what exactly happens if the four of us is not enough to defeat that planet eating savage?" Bulkhead asked.
"I am not sure, but I am sure Primus will provide a way to victory. The only way to know for sure, though, is to plan our assault and then head out" Optimus answered.
"And hope and pray that Unicron hasn't fully awakened yet" Ratchet added. They could only hope that this would work, or all would be for naught.
