After finishing his daily jog, Rajveer was about to head for a shower when he heard the door of his room slam open. Peeking out, he saw Naina, just as he had expected. No one else dared to enter his room without knocking. "Good morning, Naina. Why are you here so early?" he asked as he came out of his bedroom.

"Good morning, sir. I need to borrow your room for today," she said with an expectant smile.

"My… room? Why?" Rajveer questioned, feeling confused.

"Please, sir!" Naina pouted.

Rajveer chuckled and agreed, "Alright, do as you wish. I'm going for a shower." He turned to head to the bathroom but was surprised to find Naina standing in front of him with her hands spread out. He looked back to where she had been a second ago and then back at her, realizing that now she felt comfortable using her powers openly in front of him. "Why are you stopping me now?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Your bathroom is also a part of your room," she pointed out.

"So, I can't go shower?" he asked in disbelief.

"Of course, you can. Just give me a few minutes, please," she requested.

"Okay."

And with that, Naina vanished into thin air, leaving behind only a gust of wind. A few minutes later, she returned from the bathroom at a normal pace, wearing a beaming smile. "You can go in now," she told him.

"What's going on?" Rajveer inquired.

"You'll see soon enough," she replied, her response dripping with mystery.

As Rajveer entered the bathroom, he was pleasantly taken aback. Naina had prepared a spa-like experience for him. The bathtub was filled with warm water and bubbles, inviting him to unwind. On the side table, there was a scented candle emanating delightful aromas throughout the bathroom. To his surprise, a wooden slide was placed over the tub, holding one of Rajveer's books, a loofah, and a cup of coffee. In the background, a calming white noise played, adding to the relaxing ambiance.

With a content smile, Rajveer undressed and settled into the inviting bath. He relished the combination of his favorite book, the aromatic coffee, the serene ambience, and the soothing warmth of the water. As time passed, he became completely absorbed in the words of the book, losing track of time.

An hour later, feeling remarkably relaxed and much calmer after the recent stressful days, Rajveer finally left the bathroom. As he stepped out, he heard sounds coming from the kitchen. Throwing the towel on his bed, he decided to silently observe Naina, who was busy doing something in the kitchen area.

Naina looked delightful in her light blue jeans and a frock-style marigold-colored kurti. Her long hair cascaded down her back as she worked, wearing a chef's apron over her outfit.

"Rajveer, don't just stand there. Go and remove that wet towel from your bed. Then come out. Your breakfast is ready," Naina called out suddenly.

Surprised by her command, Rajveer couldn't help but smile. The warmth he felt inside was truly heavenly. He had feared that he might lose Naina after revealing the truth to her, but he had underestimated her strength. Her assertiveness in ordering him around felt strangely comforting, as if he finally had someone who truly cared. However, thoughts of the revelations from the day before still lingered in his mind, and he wondered if he was ready for the complete truth or not. With a sigh, he walked back inside, removed the towel, and put it in its proper place.

Returning to the living room, he sat on the couch. Naina appeared with a tray and placed it in front of him. "I made Gobi ke parathe [Cauliflower flatbread] with coffee for you. It's been years since I last made them, so I have no idea how they turned out. Let me know," she said nervously.

"Wow! Gobi ke parathe! These are my favorite!" Rajveer exclaimed, his excitement evident as he saw his favorite dish after such a long time. He eagerly tore into the paratha and dipped it into the chutney before savoring the delicious bite. "Oh, yum!" he breathed out with satisfaction.

Naina let out a sigh of relief, happy that he enjoyed the food she prepared. The night before, after returning from the warehouse, Naina had sought solace in the store room behind the academy. She had needed time to think through everything and process the overwhelming revelations.

FLASHBACK:::

Naina sat on the floor of the store room, clutching her brother's favorite sweater tightly to her chest. Memories of Naveen overwhelmed her, and she found herself sobbing without tears. She recalled the deep love and connection they shared. Naveen had always been her pillar of support, her protector, and her closest friend. Holding onto the sweater, she sought comfort in it, but it only intensified the pain of their shared memories and the void left behind.

Her grief became overwhelming, and she cried bitterly, reminiscing about how Naveen had always been there for her, unwavering in his care. The ache in her heart was almost unbearable, as she longed to hold him again, to express her love and how much she missed him. But he was gone, and all she had were the cherished memories they had created together.

Naina pressed play on the tape recorder, wanting to hear Rajveer and Naveen's last conversation again. As the recording played, she could hear the pain and desperation in her brother's voice. The man on the tape, broken and helpless, felt distant and foreign, even though his voice was familiar. Naveen's words echoed in her ears, as he pleaded with Rajveer to end his life, to spare him from falling into the hands of dangerous people.

Listening to the recording repeatedly, Naina heard Naveen's heartfelt words, "Naina, my dear sister... I love you... I love you a lot, gudiya [doll]. I just want you to know that YOUR brother was NOT a traitor." His words cut through her heart, leaving an indelible mark of love and pain.

As Naina listened to the recording, she not only heard her brother's pain but also Rajveer's suffering. The sounds of Rajveer sniffling and sobbing were clear, and she realized that it hadn't been easy for him either. For Rajveer, Naveen was his only family, and he had to carry out the heartbreaking act of ending his brother's life with his own hands. It must have torn him apart from the inside.

Feeling the weight of both her own grief and Rajveer's pain, Naina cried, not just for her brother but also for the man she loved. She understood that the pain of losing her brother would never fully disappear, but she also knew that she would forever cherish his memory in her heart. With determination, she wiped her tears, took a deep breath, and resolved to honor her brother's memory by living her life in a way that would make him proud. She decided that while she couldn't change the past or bring back her brother, she could do everything in her power to support and care for Rajveer, her mate.

Naina wanted Rajveer to forgive himself for what had happened, knowing that he couldn't carry the burden of guilt alone. The situation had been impossible, and they had no other choice at the time. It was time to accept the painful truth and move forward, as she believed that was what her brother would have wanted. Naina knew that Naveen would have wanted both Rajveer and her to live a good and happy life.

Realizing that Rajveer had suffered for years under the weight of grief and guilt, Naina made up her mind. It was time to give him a family, to show him that he wasn't alone anymore. She was there for him, and she would support him through the healing process. Naina was determined to make Rajveer realize that he now had her by his side. She would be there to help him heal, to love him, and to create a new chapter of their lives together.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Naina?! Naina?!" Rajveer's voice startled her out of her thoughts.

"Hmm? Yes?" Naina replied, looking up at him.

"Why are you standing there? Won't you join me?" Rajveer asked, inviting her to sit with him.

"I don't eat human food," she explained, "But I WILL join you for breakfast," she added with a warm smile. She returned to the kitchen briefly and came back with her 2-liter stainless steel bottle.

"What's that?" Rajveer asked curiously, looking at the bottle.

"My breakfast," Naina replied with a smile as she placed her bottle beside his breakfast tray on the coffee table. "By the way, I have something for you," she said, handing him an envelope. It was handmade and sealed with a red heart sticker.

"What is this, Naina?" Rajveer asked, pleasantly surprised as he accepted the envelope.

"I wrote you a letter," she replied.

"Why?" he asked, chuckling.

"Because I wanted to remind you that... even if I was angry with you about Naveen's matter yesterday, it doesn't mean I stopped loving you. I love you, and I always will. Whether you accept me as I am or not, my love for you remains unwavering," she told him honestly.

Rajveer placed the letter down and gently took her hands in his. "So, you forgave me?" he asked with hope in his eyes.

"There was nothing to forgive, Rajveer sir. I've listened to that recording countless times, and I understand that there was no other option at the time. Naveen knew that too, and he trusted you to handle the situation. But Rajveer sir, I'm sorry on behalf of my brother. In his pursuit of freedom, he unknowingly burdened you with so much guilt. Please forgive him, and please forgive yourself as well," Naina said, cupping his face tenderly.

Tears rolled down Rajveer's face, touched by Naina's understanding and love. It meant the world to him that she truly comprehended his feelings and inner struggles. "I was so scared, Naina. I thought... I thought I was going to lose you... I wanted to hide this truth from you... but..." he started sobbing.

"Why did you tell me then? I didn't understand this," she questioned, holding him close in a comforting embrace.

"Ritu... That Ritu did a narco test on me with some drugs... Remember you said there was something extra in my drink that night?" Rajveer disclosed. At Naina's nod, he continued, "She came to my room that morning and threatened me. Apparently, in my drunk state, I told her that I killed..." He took a deep breath, "she threatened to tell all the cadets if I didn't allow her to come along for the mission," he explained.

"That's why you decided that it would be better if I heard it from you instead of her. Makes sense," Naina nodded, understanding the situation.

Rajveer turned to look at her, his eyes red-rimmed and filled with tears. "I miss him so much, Naina. He was like a brother to me. I really didn't want to shoot him," he told her.

Naina nodded, her heart breaking for him. She knew how much his friend meant to him, and she wanted to do something to make him feel better. "I know. Anyway, let's forget all this for now, and let me take care of you," she said as she wiped away his tears, "I want to pamper you today," she stated with a warm smile.

Rajveer looked at her, surprised but grateful for her offer. "What do you have in mind?"

Naina grinned mischievously. "Finish your favorite breakfast, read the letter, and then we can watch a movie before I start preparing lunch."

Rajveer smiled weakly before returning to his parathas. "By the way, Naina, how did you know that I love gobi ke parathe? I never told you about it," he inquired.

"I have ALL of Naveen's diaries, and they are filled with his 'Veeru puran.' And I have a perfect memory, so it's easy to remember your likes and dislikes. Life is so strange. There was a time I hated the 'Veeru puran,' and now...? Now, they're working as a guide to your heart," Naina told him with a playful smile.

Rajveer chuckled, shaking his head. "You have to show me these diaries... and stop calling them 'Veeru puran'," he stated, amused and a little embarrassed.

Naina could see the tension in Rajveer's body starting to melt away with each bite of his favorite food. She smiled to herself, happy to see him enjoying the meal she prepared. As she sipped from her bottle, Rajveer asked between his bites, "Naina, what are you going to cook for lunch?"

"Butter chicken, Dal makhni, rice, and naan," Naina replied.

"Yum. Wah Raj! You lucky boy!" he said to himself, his excitement evident at the thought of the delicious lunch awaiting him. Naina couldn't help but smile at his childlike joy when he heard about his favorite dishes.

"Naina, you're not making any dessert?" he asked with a boyish smile.

Naina rolled her eyes playfully, finding his enthusiasm endearing. "I'll make kheer for lunch and caramel pudding for dinner. Both your favorites according to Veeru puran," she teased him with a mischievous smile.

At the mention of the dessert items, Rajveer's face lit up with delight. Naina couldn't help but feel grateful for Naveen's diaries, which had become a guiding light to Rajveer's heart and helped her make him happy in little ways.

Finally done with breakfast, Rajveer opened the letter and started reading. Naina wrote:

"Dear Rajveer sir,

As I sit down to write this letter, I wanted to take a moment to express how much you mean to me and how grateful I am to have you in my life. From the moment I met you, I knew that there was something special about you. Your smile, your laugh, and your kind heart drew me in, and I knew that I wanted to spend more time with you.

I admire so many things about you - your strength, your determination, and your unwavering loyalty. You inspire me to be a better person every day, and I feel lucky to be by your side. As our relationship has grown, my love for you has only deepened. You are my best friend, my confidant, my partner in life... and my soulmate.

That day when I almost lost you due to Huda's stupidity, I realized how much you mean to me. One of my most cherished memory is when you taught me to dance. I felt so connected to you in that moment, and I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

Since then, we've made so many wonderful memories together. From shooting range to romantic first kiss, every moment with you is a treasure. Thank you for being my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. I cherish every moment we spend together, and I can't wait to make many more memories in the years to come.

I love you more than words can express, and I can't imagine my life without you.

Always yours,

Naina"

Naina anxiously sat on the opposite armchair, awaiting his reaction. After he finished reading the letter, he facepalmed. Seeing this, Naina frowned, feeling offended, and asked, "Why did you facepalm like that?"

"Naina, do you have any idea how romantic and sweet this letter is?" he asked.

"Of course, I do. I wrote it," she replied.

"Then why the hell did you address me as 'Rajveer SIR'? I mean seriously?! Who writes 'sir' even in a love letter? Are you ever going to call me just 'Rajveer'?" he asked exasperatedly.

Naina grimaced, realizing that she had used the formal address out of habit. She gave him a sheepish smile and silently mouthed 'sorry.'

"You deserve a punishment for ruining my love letter," he told her sternly.

"P-Punishment?!" Naina asked nervously.

"Yes."

"Okay. Whatever you say," she agreed hesitantly.

"You have to do 100 sit-ups, and after every 10 sit-ups, you have to kiss me while calling me by my name," he told her, grinning impishly.

Naina sulked before starting her punishment. She laid down on the floor and began doing sit-ups while giving an amused Rajveer a narrowed glare. After completing 10 sit-ups, she got up and approached him, leaning over to kiss him on his cheek.

Rajveer grinned cheekily and playfully tapped his lips. Naina shook her head, secretly amused by his demand for kisses, and planted a kiss on his lips, saying, "R-Rajveer." Then with a sigh, she returned to doing the sit-ups again.

Rajveer enjoyed her playful reaction as much as the kisses, and he was feeling joyful and relaxed at the moment. "Can you do the sit-ups a little faster? I want the kisses fast," he playfully called out.

Naina smirked mischievously. "I can do that," she replied before she started doing sit-ups at lightning speed. Not only that, she managed to come and kiss him while saying his name before he even blinked. The whole thing ended in just 6 seconds.

"W-What just happened?" Rajveer asked bewildered.

"You wanted everything fast," she replied, a playful glint in her eyes.

"The sit-ups! I wanted you to do the sit-ups fast, not the kisses!" he whined.

"Oh well. A deal is a deal," she replied, sticking her tongue out teasingly.

"So unfair!" he grumbled under his breath as Naina took a seat beside him and started browsing through the channels to find a movie they could watch together. "Can't we re-do the kisses?" he pleaded.

"Nope."

"Please?"

"You really have a death wish." Naina commented before grabbing his face and giving him a proper kiss. Their lips met, and she felt a surge of electricity shoot through her body. The kiss was soft and gentle, yet full of passion. But Naina kept a firm control over her strength and tucked her teeth away for his safety. She ran her fingers through his hair, pulling him closer. Their kiss deepened, and she felt his arms wrap around her waist, pulling her into his lap and a tight embrace. The scent of his cologne filled her nose along with his familiar scent that was richer due to the rush of dopamine and oxytocin being added in his blood stream. As they finally pulled away from each other, they were both breathless.

"I've been wanting to do this." Rajveer told her huskily.

"Me too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled, and they kissed again, lost in the moment and the feeling of each other's love.

...-...

...-...

For the next few hours, they watched movies, laughed together, and snuggled on the sofa, completely immersed in each other's company. Naina knew that she couldn't erase Rajveer's guilt, but she hoped that by showering him with love and care, she could ease his pain. He was not the culprit; he was also a victim in that situation.

A little before noon, Naina went to the kitchen to start preparing lunch, and Rajveer joined her, offering his help. They chatted and cooked together, the warmth of their togetherness filling the kitchen. By the time Naina finished preparing the butter chicken, dal makhani, rice, naan bread, and kheer, Rajveer's mouth was watering. He couldn't contain his excitement and eagerly waited for her to place everything on the table so he could start eating. Naina was thoroughly amused by his childlike enthusiasm, and her giggles filled the air.

As he started eating, Rajveer couldn't help but moan and groan in pleasure, much to Naina's amusement. His exaggerated reactions brought a smile to her face as well. "You know our children would be really lucky to have you cook like this for them," Rajveer commented after savoring a delicious bite.

The smile on Naina's face vanished instantly as she realized that she had forgotten to mention an important aspect of her supernatural abilities – her human inabilities. Fear gripped her insides, wondering if Rajveer would reject her once he knew the truth. She knew she had to tell him before the situation became more complicated. Naina took a deep breath and turned towards Rajveer.

"Rajveer sir, I need to talk to you about something important. I don't know how to say this, but you need to know before making any decision," she began.

Rajveer stopped eating and looked at her with concern. "What is it, Naina? You know you can tell me anything," he reassured her.

Naina took another deep breath and looked down at her hands. "Rajveer sir, when a human changes into our kind, we get frozen in time. That means we will always look exactly as we did during our last moment as a human. Not only that, but our bodies also crystallize in that state. Our body's natural changes no longer occur. We cannot age or experience things like the growth of fingernails, toenails, and hair. Our blood turns into venom, and this venom-based liquid replaces all the natural chemical processes and functions in our bodies. It wets and pools in our mouth instead of saliva. That's why I hesitate to kiss you deeply. The venom also coats our eyes, protecting them from damage and eliminating the need to produce tears. So when we cry, there are no tears rolling down our cheeks. Our venom also lubricates every cell, allowing our stone-like bodies to move."

Rajveer listened attentively, his expression shifting from concern to confusion. He didn't understand why she was suddenly revealing all this information.

Sensing his confusion, Naina tried to clarify. "Sir, we are like living stones... beings frozen exactly as we were when transformed. Since the males of our kind do not require any changes to produce sperm, they can father children. However, the females of our kind cannot conceive as their bodies no longer accommodate the changes related to pregnancy," she explained bluntly. "I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted to have a family of your own, and being with me means you would never have the opportunity to be a father. I think... I think it would be better for you to move..." Her words were interrupted as Rajveer placed his palm gently over her mouth, silencing her.

He gave her a look filled with love and understanding, gently cupping her face in his hands. "Naina, it's okay if we can't have children. I don't need a child to know how much I love you. You are everything to me, Naina. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, whether we have children or not," he reassured her sincerely.

Naina's eyes glistened with emotion as she realized how deeply Rajveer loved her. "I don't know what to say. I was so worried that you wouldn't want me after knowing the truth," she confessed, her voice slightly choked.

He smiled affectionately. "Naina, my love for you is not dependent on anything. I love you for who you are, and that's all that matters," he said tenderly.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Naina leaned over and kissed Rajveer, feeling the warmth of his love enveloping her. "I love you too. And even though we can't have children, we'll have each other... forever," she whispered.

Rajveer nodded, pulling her into a loving embrace, feeling content and at peace with the woman he cherished by his side. "By the way... you're addressing me as 'Rajveer sir' again," he pointed out playfully.

Naina chuckled softly, her heart full of love and joy. "Old habits die hard, but I'll try my best to call you just 'Rajveer' from now on," she promised, smiling up at him with adoration.

As they continued to hold each other close, they knew that their love was strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Together, they would face whatever life had in store, cherishing every moment of their journey together, and building a future filled with love and happiness.
