The following day, Caleb shows up at Ashley's and Hanna's early in the morning.

Ashley "Come on in." She instructs Caleb after opening the front door for him. "Hanna is upstairs in the shower, so go straight to the basement and don't come out until I let you know that we've left. I'll leave you my keys here." She points to the key bowl.

Caleb "Thanks, Ashley!" He says while he makes his way to the kitchen. He carries some brushes, a paint roller, and a can of paint left over from when he renovated his house.

Once in the basement, Caleb starts moving the old furniture to the center of the room, being especially careful with Hanna's sewing machine, in order to make some space to start working on the walls. He plans to give them just a simple coat of paint since they seem to be in good shape.

He is almost done painting the second wall when Ashley texts him to let him know they've already left, so Caleb texts Toby as well to let him know he can come to Hanna's now.

Only half an hour later, Toby shows up there to help him. He brings his toolbox, a ladder, and some new modern lamps Spencer helped him pick out the day before.

Toby "So you and Hanna made up then?" He asks as he climbs the ladder to start working on the electrical wiring.

Caleb "Yeah, she came over last night after we left Emily's and Alison's." He answers as he dips the roller back into the paint. "I honestly thought she would be, I don't know, angrier, or resentful… but we just had a nice talk, and that was all."

Toby "She was just worried about you, but she is definitely angry at me. I tried to talk to her last night, but it was impossible."

Caleb "She'll come around. Give her some time."

Toby "Hope so." He climbs off the ladder. "Anyway, I ended up having a serious talk with Spencer myself. She realized there was something off between Hanna and me, so I had to tell her about what we did. She got pissed off at me at first too, but then I told her the investigation was finally over, and she calmed down."

Caleb "Is it really over, then?"

Toby "Yeah, I told you yesterday. They were all arrested."

Caleb "Yes, but you didn't give me the details… what was the information we hacked for?" he asks, intrigued.

Toby "It helped us to make sure we were on all fronts at the same time. We had the information that there would be a shipment of drugs, but we didn't know the exact location and time. You got us that info from this guy's computer. We set up an ambush and confiscated the shipment at the same time as another team raided a secret store inside one of their construction sites, and another team arrested the gang leader at his place. We made sure no one had the chance to sneak away." He grabs his pliers from his toolbox and climbs back onto the ladder.

Caleb "That's great. I never thought the Rosewood PD could manage to pull off something like that."

Toby "The night Hanna went missing, they were after the first shipment of drugs this gang was ever bringing to Rosewood. They ended up ambushing a truck full of diapers. That's why they had to regroup and ask for reinforcements from the Philly police."

Caleb "They should have still looked for Hanna."

Toby "Yes, they should have." He sighs. "Anyway, I've already submitted my resignation letter, so I guess I'll have to start looking for a job."

Caleb "I think I might be able to help you with that..." He puts his roller down.

Toby looks at him from the top of the ladder.

Caleb "I'm leaving the Radley, you know?" he starts telling him. "I've already talked to Ashley. I'll finish setting up the security system there and then I'll just start my own business designing security systems for different companies, according to their needs. I don't know if you would be interested in something like that, but I think I could really use a skilled partner like you."

Toby "Sure." Caleb's offer takes him by surprise, but he actually likes it. "It would actually be perfect, Caleb."

Caleb smiles. "Great! We can discuss the details later."

They have finished with the lighting and the painting by noon, so they go out to grab something for lunch, and Caleb takes the opportunity to take Chocolate out as well.

When they come back to Hanna's, Spencer and Emily are waiting outside the house.

Spencer "Hey you!" She greets the guys. "I brought some extra help."

Emily "Hey!" She smiles at them.

Caleb "Spence, Em." He greets them back as he opens the front door. "I thought you were going to be busy with work." He tells Spencer.

Spencer "Yeah, but I rescheduled my afternoon meetings. I just wanted to come help." She smiles at him.

Caleb "Thank you both for being here then."

Emily "So, how can we help?"

Caleb ""We should take the old furniture out and clean up a little before we set up the new furniture."

Toby "Let's go, then." He says while heading to the kitchen.

Spencer goes after him. "You can't lift heavy things just yet, Tob. We are taking care of it."

Toby "You can't do it either, you are pregnant. I'm okay."

Emily "Caleb and I will take care of it, you guys."

Caleb "Be careful with the walls, the paint might still be fresh." He warns them as he follows them downstairs.

Emily and Caleb move out the old furniture as Toby and Spencer start assembling Hanna's new desk.

Four hours later, everything seems to be ready.

Spencer "This is just great, guys!" she says excited while taking a look around.

Emily "Yeah, Hanna will love it." She grins.

Toby "You are gonna score quite a few points with Hanna for this." He taps on Caleb's shoulder.

Caleb "Well, you too, buddy. I'll let her know you all were here to help. You could use some points with Hanna too."

Toby "Yeah, I'm gonna need many more points than these for her to forgive me."

Spencer "Well, guys, Emily and I need to get going. We're meeting up for dinner with the girls at my place, and we really need to freshen up. See you around."

Emily "Bye, guys!" She says, following Spencer upstairs.

Toby "I'll get going too." He says as he finishes putting away his tools.

After everyone leaves, Caleb goes to the living room to wait for Hanna. Ashley had texted him a while ago, letting him know they would be back home in an hour. He sits down on the couch, and Chocolate lies down on the floor at his feet. He is just too exhausted after a day of hard work, and shortly after, he falls asleep.

He wakes up some minutes later, feeling a soft caress on his cheek. "Hey, baby." He hears Hanna whispering into his ear. He opens his eyes and finds her staring at him with a smile on her face. "What are you doing here?" She asks softly while placing a tender kiss on his forehead.

Caleb smiles back at her, still half asleep. "Han."

Hanna "Are you okay?" she sits down next to him and places her hand on his forehead to check his temperature.

Caleb smiles again. "I'm fine, I just fell asleep."

Hanna "What are you doing here?" she asks again. "How did you get in?"

Caleb finally stands up and offers his hand to her. Hanna takes his hand and he leads her to the kitchen.

Hanna "You are acting weird."

Caleb "I've got a surprise for you, silly." He opens the door to the basement.

Hanna "Oh, really?" She says excited as they go downstairs.

Hanna can't believe her eyes. She's in awe. The basement is completely transformed. It's fabulously unrecognizable. It starts with the lighting: two large modern LED lamps that evenly and warmly illuminate the entire room. Then there's the beautiful new furniture: a desk with numerous drawers, a comfortable dusty pink office chair, a spacious work table perfectly fitted for her sewing machine, clothing racks lining the sides of the room, a stylish rug that matches the office chair, an elegant full-length mirror, and even a design board hanging on one of the walls. Everything is just perfect.

Hanna "Oh my god, Caleb!" She screams.

Caleb smiles widely. "So you like it?"

Hanna "Are you kidding me? I love it so much!" She is still staring at the room, fascinated. "You did this yourself?" She turns to him and gives him a tight hug.

Caleb "I had some help from your friends."

Hanna "Our friends." She corrects him. "You are the best! Really. I love it. Thank you so much." She gives him a quick peck on the lips and then releases him to go check out every detail.

Hanna goes sit at her desk to try her new office chair. "Oh my god, all my stuff is here!" She says excited after looking into a couple of drawers and finding her drawing pencils, her sketchbook, her post-it notes, her laptop, and some other things.

Caleb just stares at her with an indelible smile on his face.

Ashley also arrives in the basement. "God, Caleb! This is beautiful!"

Caleb "Thanks for your help, Ashley."

Hanna "You knew about this, mom?"

Caleb "She let me in this morning when you were in the shower, Han."

Hanna laughs. "Oh, so that's why you didn't insist I stay at your place last night... you just wanted to get rid of me early today. You had it all planned already."

Ashley "You have a very good taste, Caleb!"

Caleb grins. "It was Spencer, she picked out the furniture. She, Emily and Toby were here today helping me."

Hanna "I'll thank them later." She says while standing up from the chair.

She approaches Caleb and wraps her arms around his neck. He wraps his arms around her lower back.

Hanna "Thank you very much for all this, baby. It means a lot to me." She starts kissing him.

Ashley goes upstairs, smiling.

Caleb "You are very welcome, my baby." He whispers to her and goes back to kissing her.

Their mouths move together softly as they share a very tender kiss.

Hanna "Now I don't even feel like going to Spencer's anymore. I just want to stay here in this awesome basement with you."

Caleb smiles at her. "Go have fun with the girls, and I'll see you later at my place."

Hanna nods. She can't cancel on her friends. "Can you wait for me so I can ride with you? I just have to change. I'll be ready in only ten minutes."

Caleb "Sure. I'll go get Chocolate in my car."

He kisses her lips once more and then they go back upstairs.

/

Caleb waits outside his house until Spencer answers the door for Hanna. She waves at him with a smile on her face before disappearing inside.

Spencer "So?" She asks Hanna, intrigued. She is also smiling widely.

Hanna "I loved it, Spence." She hugs her right away. "Thank you so much for helping Caleb. I loved the furniture."

Spencer "You are welcome, Hanna Banana."

Hanna laughs, it has been a while since Spencer called her that.

Spencer "Come in, Emily is in charge of the cooking tonight." She says after Hanna lets go of her.

They enter the kitchen.

Emily "Hey, you!" she shoots Hanna a smile. "My favorite fashion designer."

Hanna grins and goes to hug her as well. She embraces Emily from behind since Emily is standing in front of the stove with some pans on it. "Thank you very much for helping Caleb, Em! I loved every single detail."

Emily "You´re welcome! I can't wait to see the beautiful dresses you're going to create in that basement."

Spencer "Yeah, many millionaire businesses have started in basements."

Hanna laughs. "Don't put that much pressure on me." She releases Emily from her grip. "I don't need to be millionaire. I just want to be happy living off what I love."

Spencer "I'm sure you will."

Hanna "I couldn't be happier, guys."

Alison "So you and Caleb made up?" she asks as she joins them in the kitchen.

Hanna "Yeah, it was nothing." She only says.

Alison "You seemed pretty upset last night, though." She insists.

Hanna hesitates on how to respond.

Spencer "It's okay, Han. I already know what happened. I made Toby confess last night."

Emily "You should forgive Toby as well, Han. He just reached out to Caleb for some help."

Alison "Wait a minute. I don't get it… Why Toby? Weren't you mad at Caleb?" she asks confused. "Why everybody but me knows about this?"

Hanna "Toby put Caleb in a bulletproof vest and took him to some gang leader's place to hack into his computer, as if he were just another one of the cops. And yes, I was mad at Caleb too at first. But I can't stay mad at him for too long, and it was actually Toby's fault. He put him in danger, and I freaked out." She looks at Spencer now. "I'm sorry, Spence. I didn't tell you about this before because I just didn't want to cause any more problems between you and Toby."

Spencer "Don't worry, Han. We talked about it last night. I got mad too at first, I agree with you, he shouldn't have gotten Caleb involved in it. But it's all over now and I'm just happy they were able to close the investigation, Toby was right, it was important. Everything was worth it."

Alison "So, that big news about the drug gang bust we've seen on TV was the case Toby's been working on for the past few months?"

Spencer nods.

Alison "That's insane. I thought things like that didn't happen in Rosewood."

The doorbell rings and Spencer goes to answer the door.

Alison "Well, I'm glad you and Caleb worked things out at least."

Hanna smiles. "Yeah… we are doing so well, guys. Leaving aside what happened the other night, everything feels so perfect… it feels like, I don't know… I'm dating my best friend… and the sex is just great." She grins.

Emily "Yeah, I totally get you." She wraps her arm around Alison's neck and pulls her closer to her to kiss her cheek.

Alison smiles.

Spencer shows up again, followed by Aria.

Aria "Hey, everyone!" she smiles. "I brought some wine."

/

They decide to relax in the living room after dinner.

Alison and Emily cuddle together on the couch, with Hanna sitting next to them. Spencer and Aria occupy the chairs. They are all enjoying wine, except for Spencer, of course.

Aria "So, when are you letting Toby move back in?"

Spencer "We're just taking baby steps for now."

Emily "Baby steps? Are you sure?" She obviously knows something that the rest of them don't know.

Hanna "Spit it out, Spence!" She tosses a cushion from the couch toward Spencer.

Spencer laughs. "Okay, fine. We had sex last night."

Alison "Was it good?"

Spencer "Yeah… and I needed it so bad… my hormones drive me crazy."

The girls laugh.

Aria "Well, I've got something to confess too."

Everyone fixes their eyes on her expectantly.

Aria "Ezra and I got married in Italy."

Hanna "Oh my god, really?" She asks excited as she gets up from the couch to go hug her.

Emily "That's just so sweet!"

All of them take their turns to hug and congratulate Aria on her marriage.

Hanna "Wait a minute? Is it even valid here?" she asks while sitting back in her place.

Aria "Yes, it's legally recognized here. We just need to do some paperwork here as well, but it's valid."

Alison "That's great, Aria!"

Hanna "But I was supposed to make your wedding dress... we've been planning it since second grade."

Aria smiles at her warmly. "I'm sorry, Han. I ended up getting married in shorts."

Emily "Tell us everything about it."

Aria shares all the details of her spontaneous wedding day in Italy with them. Well, it was spontaneous to her, because apparently, Ezra had been planning it all since a few days before their trip and made the arrangements to make it possible.

Spencer "That sounds so romantic." She says after Aria finishes her story.

Aria "Yes, it was. It was just perfect. Exactly what we both needed after the awful days we went through here before we left."

Spencer "Why didn't you tell us last night?"

Aria "Because we wanted to finish all the paperwork here as well before telling people. I haven't even told my parents yet... but on the way here, I told Ezra I would tell you guys. I couldn't wait any longer."

Alison finally asks what they all have been wanting to know but no one dared to simply ask: "How are you two dealing with the miscarriage?"

Aria sighs. "It's not easy, guys. It's still very recent... and even though we didn't know about the pregnancy and weren't even trying for a baby, it's still hard. I mean, we weren't being so careful about it because we were doing well, and we have been living together for years now, so an unplanned baby wasn't going to be a problem for us..." She makes a pause and has a sip of wine. "Anyway, we're doing okay, I guess... we do have some bad days... I was feeling a bit down today, and I almost canceled on you guys. But we need to move on."

Hanna "And have you considered trying again?"

Aria "We aren't ready just yet... in fact, we're being extra careful now. We're using condoms until I can get on the pill."

Hanna only nods in response.

Aria "I saw my doctor, everything is okay anyway. Miscarriages are common during the first trimester, and it happened to me. That's all."

Spencer "Yeah, being pregnant is scary as hell." Her eyes are a bit glassy because being pregnant herself, it's a sensitive subject for her. "Everyone talks about the nice things, but no one prepares you for the flip side."

Hanna "Wanna talk about something in particular, Spence?"

Spencer "No… I'm fine. I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow. I'm just a little nervous."

Emily "Everything is gonna be okay." She reassures her.

Alison "You should be happy, you might be able to see the gender of the baby. I'm sure Toby must be excited."

Spencer "I haven't told him I have an appointment tomorrow."

Aria "Why?"

Spencer "I don't know, I made the appointment when we weren't speaking to each other, and I was planning to go on my own."

Hanna "But you are doing so much better now, Spence. I'm sure he would like to be there with you. You should tell him."

Alison "Yeah, you just had sex with him last night, but you're not telling him about the appointment?"

Aria "Text him now, Spence. I'm sure you'll regret not having told him tomorrow when you are there on your own."

Spencer "I guess you are right…" she grabs her phone. "He has the right to be there anyway."

Hanna "Yeah, not to defend him, since I'm still pretty pissed off at him, but it's his kid too."

Spencer "Okay, fine." She starts typing on her phone. "I'm texting him."

Hanna "Caleb told me last night that he would like to have kids someday." She mentions casually.

Alison "You two are having talks about babies already?" She smiles at Hanna.

Hanna "No, we were just talking about something else, and it came up. We were actually talking about why Toby was so determined to stay in the force until they finished with that drug gang. He told Caleb he just wanted to keep Rosewood safe and quiet for his kid."

Spencer smiles tenderly. "He told him that?"

Hanna "Yeah, and Caleb told me he wants the same because Rosewood is his home now, and he'd like to start a family here too."

Emily "That's so cute."

Hanna "I know." She smiles again. "It's like every day, I think it's just not possible for me to love him any more than I already do, but then he says things like that or surprises me with the basement upgrade, and I end up loving him a bit more every day."

Aria "I'm so glad you finally found someone who actually deserves you, Han." She smiles at her.

Hanna smiles back. "Thanks."

Alison "We should tell them, Em." She lifts her head from Emily's shoulder to look at her.

Emily only stares at her.

Aria "Tell us what?"

Alison "It's just that all this talk about pregnancy and babies…"

Emily "Okay, fine. Tell them."

Spencer "Oh my god, guys! Just tell us!"

Alison "We decided to try in vitro fertilization. We want to have a baby. We had an appointment with a specialist last week, and we are planning to start the process next month."

Aria "Oh, I'm so happy for you, guys!"

Spencer "Congrats on making such a great decision!"

Hanna "God, that's awesome, you guys!" she says excited. "We really needed this girls' night, I mean, Aria got married, Spencer fucked Toby again, and now you two give us such great news."

They all laugh.

Spencer "And you, Han, are starting your own business."

Hanna "Yeah, and I just lost my first client because apparently Aria thought it was better to get married in just shorts rather than wearing a dress made by me."

Aria chuckles. "You are never going to forgive me for that one, huh?"

Hanna smiles. "I'm just messing with you. I'm happy for you."

Alison "Anyway, guys, we would like to keep this a secret. It could be a hard process, and we would like to take it easy."

Emily "Yeah, and have some privacy."

Spencer "Sure."

Aria "Of course, guys."

Emily "What about you, Han?"

Hanna "Yeah, I won't say anything."

Alison "Not even to Caleb."

Hanna "Yes, I know."

Emily "Promise it."

Hanna "Hey! How come I'm the only one who has to promise it?" she protests.

Alison "Because you are the big mouth here. Promise us you won't just slip it out."

Hanna "Okay, fine. I promise." She rolls her eyes.

Emily smiles at her. "Thanks!"

Hanna "Wanna me to swear it on someone's life too?" she jokes.

Alison "Yeah, that will do."

Hanna "Okay, fine. I swear it on Toby's life that I won't say a word about it."

Spencer "Hey!" She laughs and tosses the same cushion to Hanna that she threw at her earlier.

They all laugh.

Aria "Wouldn't like to be Toby." She jokes.

Hanna "Hey, I can keep a secret! Give me some credit."

/

It's almost midnight when Hanna arrives at Caleb's.

She goes into his bedroom after brushing her teeth, removing her makeup, and giving Chocolate his goodnight kiss.

The room is dimly lit by the streetlights filtering through the half-closed curtains. She undresses, leaving only her underwear on, and then climbs into bed.

Caleb remains peacefully asleep, but she is in the mood for sex, so she leans in and tenderly touches her lips to his.

But he is sound asleep, so he doesn't even move. Hanna smiles and tries again, this time, she abandons tenderness and goes for a more intense kiss.

Caleb responds by kissing her back this time, he wraps his arms around her. He is still half asleep, so his intensity doesn't quite match Hanna's. "Hey." He whispers during their kiss.

Hanna "Hey, baby." She sits up a little and takes her bra off. "Just wanted to thank you properly for what you did for me today." She goes back to kissing him passionately.

But Caleb can't keep up with the pace of her lips, so she ends up slowing down and kissing him gently. Shortly after, he isn't even kissing her back anymore.

Hanna pulls away from his lips to look at him. "Hey!" She shakes his shoulder a little. "Did you just fall asleep while kissing me?" She chuckles.

Caleb smiles slightly. "Sorry, babe. I can't keep myself awake." He tightens his grip around her, gently pulling her closer to him, inviting her to snuggle with him.

Hanna smiles tenderly. "It's fine." She kisses his jawline. "You don't have to do anything." She lowers herself a bit and places another kiss on his chest as the same time as she takes her hands to the waistband of his boxers. "I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you did today." She adds while pulling his underwear down. "How much it means to me." She kisses her way down to his abs.

Caleb's breathing becomes shallow anticipating what is coming.

Hanna "And how much I love you."

A slow shiver runs through Caleb as he finally feels her lips around him. "Damn it, Han!" He bites his bottom lip. "I love you too." He runs his hand through her hair and rests his palm on the side of her head.

/

A few days later. Friday.

It's evening and Hanna arrives at Caleb's. They are getting together with their friends for dinner.

Hanna "Here, Chocolate!" She orders the dog to go inside after opening the front door. "Babe, I'm here!" She yells while heading for the living room. But Caleb isn't there, so she goes to check the kitchen. "Oh, hi." She finds someone there, but it's not her boyfriend.

Toby "Hey, Han." He smiles awkwardly at her. Chocolate approaches him, wagging his tail happily. "Hey, buddy!" He pets his head.

Hanna "Where's Caleb?"

Toby "He went to the store. He should be back soon." He says as he puts some beer cans in the fridge.

Hanna "Oh, okay… I'll just wait for him in the living room." She says and turns to walk away.

Toby "Wait!"

Hanna turns back to him.

Toby "Let's just talk it over, Han. It's been days. We can't keep going on like this."

Hanna "I don't know what you want to talk about. You clearly don't think you did something wrong, I'm sure you would do it again."

Toby "It's not like that, Hanna."

Hanna leaves the kitchen and decides to go upstairs instead. She lies down on Caleb's bed, and Chocolate jumps on the bed to lie down next to her. She is using her phone when Caleb shows up there later.

Caleb "Hey!" he goes to the bed and places a tender kiss on her lips.

Hanna "Hey, you!" she shoots him a slight smile.

Caleb sits down on the edge of the bed. "Could you do me a little favor?" He rests his hand on her thigh and gives her a soft squeeze.

Hanna smiles at him again. "Sure."

Caleb "Would you give Toby a chance and listen to what he wants to tell you?"

Hanna "I don't feel like talking to him, Caleb. I thought you needed a real favor from me."

Caleb "Well, this is a real favor to me. Toby is my only friend here in Rosewood, Han. I need you two to work things out."

Hanna sighs. "I just need some more time, I'm still pissed off at him."

Caleb "How much time?"

Hanna "A lot."

Caleb stares at her.

Hanna "I'm sorry, Caleb. It's just the way I feel. I can't help it."

Caleb "Okay... it's just that... I offered him to be my partner in my new business, so-"

Hanna interrupts him. "You asked him to be partners? Why?"

Caleb "Because he is my friend, and he would have had to find another job anyway. I just thought it would be great to work together because he is very skilled and It would be a lot easier for me to start a business with a friend, someone I really trust, rather than doing it on my own. I saw it as a big opportunity for both of us."

Hanna remains silent.

Caleb "Anyway, you'll see him around much more often, and I just don't want it to be awkward."

Hanna "I'll listen to him if it means that much to you." She takes his hand and intertwines their fingers. "But I don't promise anything."

Caleb smiles at her. "That's all I'm asking for."

Hanna sits up and cups his face in her hands. "I can't say no to this cute face of yours." She starts a gentle kiss.

They go downstairs a few minutes later, and Hanna goes to sit down on the couch next to Toby while Caleb disappears into the kitchen.

Hanna "So?"

Toby "I'm sorry, Han. I really am. I never meant to hurt you, okay?" He goes straight to the point. "I love you, we've been friends since grade school. I just needed a computer expert and Caleb happened to be right there with me when I got that call… I just asked him, and he was happy to help."

Hanna "But you didn't ask him for a simple favor. You know that what you made him do put his life at risk, right?"

Toby "I didn't make him do anything, Han. It was his decision. I told him he could just say no and it would be fine."

Hanna "You knew he wouldn't have said no. You have no idea how helpless I felt seeing you take him with you and not being able to do anything about it." Her eyes begin to well up with tears as she becomes emotional.

Toby "I know I wasn't thoughtful to you when you caught us leaving for that operation, we were on a rush… we couldn't miss that chance, Han. I didn't have time to explain it to you or make sure you knew we would have his back the whole time."

Hanna "Seeing him wearing a bulletproof vest just a few days after you got shot yourself scared me to death." Her voice cracks as a couple of tears escape from her eyes.

Toby "I'm sorry, Han." He apologizes again and wraps his arm around her shoulders, hugging her from the side. "I didn't mean to hurt you." He repeats. "I knew it would be all over if we got that information, and all I could think of was finishing that case and leaving the force, knowing I did something good for my son."

Hanna looks at him. "Your son?" She smiles a little, even though she is still shedding tears. "So you and Spence are having a baby boy?"

Toby nods and takes his arm off her shoulders. "Yeah… I wasn't supposed to say anything. It just slipped out. Please don't tell Spencer you know. We were planning on telling you guys tonight."

Hanna "It's fine, I know how hard it is to keep secrets, believe me… I'll try to act surprised."

Toby "Anyway, you should also know that Caleb's name won't even appear in the case. My partner, Officer Harris took care of the paperwork after that operation, and he didn't include Caleb's name among the people present that night."

There's a silence and Toby decides to break it with a joke so the conversation doesn't get awkward again.

Toby "Well, you have to speak to me anyway. You told me the other day that if something happened to Caleb, you would never speak to me again. But he's safe and sound now, so…"

However, Hanna is still to affected to even force a smile at him.

Caleb shows up there. "Hey, you weren't supposed to make my girlfriend cry." He tells Toby in a playful mood as he goes to crouch down in front of Hanna, and they hug. Hanna rests her head on his shoulder, facing the opposite side of his neck, so she can still see Toby. "So, you two worked things out?" Caleb asks while wiping Hanna's tears away.

Hanna "Kind of."

Toby "Is there anything I could do to make you forgive me?"

Hanna "Well, actually… you could start by promising me you won't make any more stupid things now that you'll be working together in your new business… I don't care if there's some sort of alien invasion, and you two are the only ones on Earth who can stop them. I want you both safe and sound at home."

Caleb laughs at her absurd scenario.

Toby "I promise... only security cameras settings and boring computer programs."

Hanna "And nothing that could involve bulletproof vests."

Toby "Of course. They would be useful against alien weapons anyway." He jokes.

Hanna smiles a little now. "Okay, I guess we are good then." She turns her head to the other side and buries her face into the crook of Caleb's neck to place a tender kiss there. "I'll go fix my makeup before everyone arrives."

Caleb releases her from his grip and Hanna stands up from the couch.

Toby "What did you do to her?" He asks after Hanna leaves and smiles at Caleb.

Caleb stares at him, he doesn't get what he means.

Toby "She's always been so stubborn, I thought it would take weeks for her to speak to me again. But I guess she actually listens to you."

Caleb smiles a little.

/

Their friends arrive at Caleb's an hour later. Caleb had originally planned to grill some burgers and hang out in his backyard, but the cold weather changed his plans. So, when he went to the store earlier, he got all the ingredients for Toby to make some pasta, which Toby had offered to cook himself.

Now they are enjoying Toby's delicious fettucine Alfredo at the dining table.

Spencer "This is delicious, Tob." She says and takes a big bite of pasta into her mouth.

Toby smiles at her.

Alison "So, how did the ultrasound you had the other day go? Did you find out the baby's sex?"

Spencer takes a sip of water before responding. "Yeah, we did." She smiles and looks at Toby, who is sitting in the chair next to her. "You tell them."

Hanna is thankful that the subject came up soon, since she was afraid she would put her foot in her mouth at any moment.

Toby "We are having a baby boy." He smiles proudly.

Hanna "Oh my god! That's awesome, guys!" She does a very good job feigning surprise and Toby appreciates it.

Caleb "That's great, man! We are getting a little fishing buddy."

Everyone else also congratulates the couple on the big news.

Aria "Have you already chosen the name?" She asks and takes a sip of white wine.

Spencer "Not yet, we have some options, but we haven't chosen it yet."

Alison "We should make a toast." She suddenly says and raises her glass. "To Spencer's and Toby's baby boy… and to Aria and Ezra for getting married!"

Caleb "You guys got married?" he asks while raising his glass as well.

After finishing their meal and clearing the table, Toby, Caleb, and Ezra remain seated, playing cards and having some beer, while the girls go to relax in the living room, except for Hanna who goes to the kitchen to prepare some margaritas.

Spencer shows up there as Hanna fills the blender with ice. "Hey, need some help?"

Hanna "No, it's fine. I've got this." She smiles at her. "I'll make you a soft drink when I finish with this."

Spencer "Thanks!" She smiles back. "I'm glad you and Toby worked things out." She realized earlier during the dinner that the tension between them had disappeared.

Hanna "Yeah… I get why he did it, I still don't agree with him, but we sorted things out. And I made him promise he and Caleb would stay out of danger from now on. They are working together, did you know?"

Spencer nods. "Toby told me a couple of days ago, he is really excited about it."

Hanna "Yeah, Caleb too." She adds the rest of the ingredients in the blender.

Some minutes later, they go join the girls in the living room. Hanna places the tray with the drinks on the coffee table and after grabbing a drink for herself, she goes to sit down in a chair. Spencer goes to sit down on the couch next to Alison and Emily, since Aria is occupying the other chair.

Emily "Have you started working on your dresses, Han?" She asks as she takes a glass as well.

Hanna "Yeah, the fabrics arrived a couple of days ago, so I just got started. I'm working on my first two dresses simultaneously. I'll have to spend the whole weekend working hard. I need to have a good number of them ready before I launch them for sale. Caleb is going to start working on my website tomorrow too."

Aria "That's great, Han!" She shoots her a wide smile. "Let me know when you have your dresses ready. I'll help you take the pictures for the website. I have a friend who could lend us his photography studio, maybe on a Sunday when he doesn't use it."

Hanna "That would be awesome, Aria! Thank you." She smiles back at her and then turns her gaze to Emily. "I could really use a model too… one with endlessly smoking hot legs." She stares at her with a persuasive smile on her face.

Alison "Come on, babe!" She tries to convince her as well. "You know she's right, you are just perfect to model her designs."

Hanna "Pretty please…"

Emily "Okay, I'll do it. Anything for you, Han."

Hanna smiles broadly. "Thank you, guys. I really appreciate all of your support."

The girls are still chatting and enjoying their third round of drinks when the guys decide to join them. Ezra places the deck of cards on the coffee table and sits down on the armrest of Aria's chair. Toby takes a seat on the floor, resting his back against the couch, between Spencer's legs who leans forward and wraps her arms around his shoulders. Caleb approaches Hanna, prompting her to stand up from her chair so he can take a seat, and then she settles onto his lap.

Caleb "May I?" he asks and points to her drink as Hanna rests her arm around his neck.

Hanna takes her glass to his mouth, allowing him to taste her margarita.

Caleb "It's really good… a bit strong, but it's good." He wraps an arm around her waist and rests his other hand on one of her thighs.

Hanna "Yeah, I don't have to drive home anyway, so..." She smiles at him and kisses his cheek.

Alison "I wanna learn how to play poker." She suddenly says and leaves the couch to sit down on the floor next to Toby. "Teach me." She tells him.

Toby "Well, you're such a good liar, I could use you on my team sometime." He jokes and takes the cards.

Caleb "Do you know how to play poker?" He asks Hanna.

Hanna "Nope."

Caleb "You could take the chance and learn too… I could use a partner too."

Hanna smiles at him. "I don't like playing cards, besides, I'm not so good at lying. I would make you lose. My mom says she can tell when I'm lying, but she won't tell me how."

Caleb "So you've never lied to me?" He asks intrigued.

Hanna takes a few seconds to think. "Mhm... I don't recall. I don't know, maybe some white lie..."

Caleb smiles amused.

Hanna "What about you? Have you ever lied to me?"

Caleb "Same as you…"

Hanna "I hope we have the same concept of what a white lie is." She jokes and pecks his lips.

Caleb smiles and wraps his other arm around her waist as well, holding her tighter. Hanna finishes the rest of her drink, and as soon as her lips leave the glass, she crashes them against Caleb's, sharing a deep, fresh margarita-flavored passionate kiss.

Chocolate shows up carrying his bowl and stands before them. He leaves his bowl on Hanna's lap, interrupting their kiss while asking for food.

Hanna "I'm sorry, baby!" She grabs the bowl. "I completely forgot about your dinner." She stands up right away.

Emily laughs. "Thank god he knows how to ask for food."

Ezra "Thank god he isn't a kid." He adds.

Hanna "This doesn't happen often." She chuckles. "Besides, he is clearly in a good weight. So don't worry, he is being well taken care of… Does anyone want something else to drink? We no longer have ingredients left to prepare more margaritas, but there is beer or wine." She offers, since she is heading to the kitchen to get Chocolate's food anyway.

Toby "Yeah, another beer would be fine, thanks."

Aria "And some wine too."

Caleb stands up as well. "I'll help you bring everything."

They return a few minutes later and set the drinks on the coffee table for everyone to help themselves. Then, Caleb sits back down in the chair and Hanna grabs a beer can before sitting on his lap.

Hanna cracks the can open a takes a good sip of beer.

Caleb laughs. "Easy, babe."

Hanna only smiles at him and hands him the can for him to have some beer too.

Toby "Remember, in poker, an Ace can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It's all about how you play it."

Alison "Yeah, I know it. But what can I do with these cards? I can only lie, right? I mean, they suck."

Spencer "Let me see you cards." She offers Alison some help.

Alison "I need some beer." She says frustrated and hands Spencer her cards. Then she grabs a can as well. "Too many rules…"

Hanna "And you wanted me to learn how to play too?" she asks Caleb, amused at seeing Alison's frustration.

Caleb only laughs. He knows she is right, Hanna isn't so patient.

They all keep chatting for a while. Alison gives up at some point on the poker thing since she doesn't find it as fun as she thought it would be and grabs her phone. Spencer and Toby end up playing poker between themselves instead, and they have a great time teasing each other.

Alison "Han… look at this…" She stands up and approaches Hanna, showing her phone.

Hanna takes a look at the picture Alison is showing her. "Where is this from?"

Caleb gets a look at it as well.

Alison "A news site shared it on Twitter."

Hanna "Oh." She only says, not caring too much about it.

Emily "What is it?"

Alison "Jordan. Apparently, he's dating a new girl... who looks pretty much like Hanna."

She shows the picture to the rest of them as well. It's a picture of Jordan's dad giving some kind of speech, with Jordan in the background holding hands with a blonde girl.

Ezra "She really does look a lot like Hanna." He comments after looking at the picture.

Spencer "I think Hanna is way prettier, but yes, he either has a very specific type or he just isn't over Han yet and is trying to replace her somehow."

Emily "I feel sorry for that poor girl. I'm sure she doesn't even know what she's getting herself into."

Alison "You think? Maybe they're paying her to appear in public with them, as part of the campaign."

Aria "I hope that man doesn't win the elections."

Ezra "I don't think so. I've seen some polls, and he's far behind."

Caleb stares at Hanna, trying to decipher her. But if there's someone with a poker expression on their face, it's her, and she's not even participating in the card game.

Hanna "Well, I really don't care." She shrugs. "I just agree with Aria." She takes another sip of her beer.

Toby smiles at Spencer mischievously. "You know, I'm feeling pretty lucky today. How about we make things interesting? If I win this hand, you let me move back into our house, but if you win, I'll let you choose our boy's name. What do you say?"

Spencer laughs. "We're not deciding those things over a card game, Toby."

Toby teases her. "Are you afraid of losing, maybe?" He challenges her.

Hanna "Come on, Spence! It's a bit of fun!" She encourages her friend to accept the bet. She thinks it would be a win-win to her either way, since it would be good for Spencer to just give in and take Toby back already. So she doesn't really have anything to lose.

Alison smiles. "I'm suddenly finding this game interesting again."

Spencer "Fine, let's do this!" She accepts the bet, suspecting that Toby must have very good cards for him to suggest such a thing. She does want him back in their house after all.

Aria claps her hands in excitement. "I love this."

Toby and Spencer engage in an exciting poker hand as their friends' gazes fix on them. The tension in the room reaches its peak as the final cards are unveiled, and Toby's grin says it all. Cheers fill the room. Even Spencer can't help the happy grin that appears on her face. Toby's clever ploy to win his way back into their home over a card game has touched her.

Toby "Seems like we're next-door neighbors again, buddy." He tells Caleb with a wide smile on his face. Then he looks back to Spencer. "I'll be moving back in tomorrow."

Spencer "Fair enough. A bet is a bet." She plays nonchalant.

Toby gets closer to her and they share a tender kiss.

Hanna "Finally!" she says excited.

They continue chatting, laughing, teasing each other, joking, and drinking. Some of them, like Hanna and Alison, drink more than the others. Time flies as they have so much fun.

Hanna "I want them to leave already." She whispers into Caleb's ear at some point, causing him to laugh.

Caleb "Why? You seem to be having fun." He puts her hair behind her ear and kisses her on her neck, right below her ear.

Hanna closes her eyes as he presses more kisses against her skin. "This is why." She caresses his hair. "I want to take you upstairs already."

Caleb laughs again and raises his head from her neck. "I think you should stop drinking already."

Hanna smiles and stares at him as she takes a few more sips of beer.

Emily "Han, I think Chocolate needs a pee." She says after hearing the dog scratching at the backdoor that leads to the backyard.

Hanna "Oh, you are right!" She stands up and realizes that she is indeed a bit drunk when she experiences some steadiness problems.

Toby laughs. "I'll go."

He stands up from the floor and goes let Chocolate out as Caleb wraps an arm around Hanna's waist and helps her sit back onto his lap. She reaches out to grab another beer can, but Caleb stops her, taking her hand and resting their joined hands on Hanna's lap.

Caleb "You are drunk, already."

Hanna "I'm not drunk… just a little tipsy. What's the problem, anyway?"

Emily "You should stop drinking too, Ali." She takes Alison's can and finishes the remaining beer herself.

Alison "Hey! Why? This is probably one of the last nights I'll be able to drink for a long while. I should have as much as I want just to say goodbye to it." She protests.

Ezra "Why?"

Emily gives Alison a death glare.

Aria "Nothing, babe." She tells Ezra with a look, signaling him not to keep asking.

Toby returns with a trash bag and starts collecting all the empty cans and bottles.

Caleb "It's fine, Toby. I'll clean it up tomorrow."

Toby "It's not a problem. I'm not leaving you this mess."

Spencer stands up. "Okay, who needs a ride?" She's the only one who hasn't been drinking and is willing to take her friends home.

Aria "I'm okay to drive, Spence. I didn't drink that much. Thanks."

Emily "We could use a ride."

Spencer "Okay, let's go." She extends her hand to help Alison get up.

Caleb stands up, causing Hanna to stand up from his lap as well. He keeps his arms around her.

Hanna "Really, Toby. There's no need for you to clean up now." She wraps her arms around Caleb's neck. "I'll help him clean up tomorrow. You can leave."

Toby "It won't take long, I'll just-"

Hanna cuts him off. "We just want to be left alone so we can go upstairs and have sex. So, please leave already. Thank you very much for your delicious pasta, it was really good. Goodbye." She finally says.

Spencer, Alison, Emily, Aria, and Ezra burst into laughter as they head out the front door.

Caleb laughs too, his lips close to Hanna's neck.

Toby "Fine, I'll leave." He says amused.

Caleb "Well, you got what you wanted." He tells her before starting kissing her neck. "We are alone now."

Hanna "Finally." She scratches her nails on his nape.

Caleb lowers his hands and lifts her up by her thighs. She wraps her legs around his waist and Caleb heads for the stairs. Once they get to his bedroom, he puts her down carefully on his bed.

Caleb "I'll be right back, baby. I'll go get Chocolate back inside."

Hanna nods. "Don't take too long."

Caleb smiles at her and leaves the room. When he comes back a couple of minutes later, Hanna is already naked in his bed.

Caleb chuckles. "You couldn't wait, huh?"

Hanna "I just saved you some time."

Caleb "I see." He says while taking his t-shirt off.

Hanna "I don't know what's with me, I can't stop thinking of sex since I'm with you." She confesses just like that. It surely has something to do with the amount of alcohol running in her veins.

Caleb smiles amused while undoing his pants. Shortly after, he joins her in the bed. Hanna spreads her legs as he gets on top of her and cupping his face in her hands, she joins their mouths right away. She doesn't take long to slip her tongue into his mouth, but despite her impatience, the kiss is still delicate and unhurried as they enjoy the intimacy of it.

At some point, Caleb presses his lips to hers one more time and then he takes his mouth to her neck. He gently kisses her there with his lips slightly parted, but then he starts lowering himself, never stopping kissing her. It seems like the lower he goes, the more he opens his mouth in each kiss. He obviously pays special attention to her chest and takes his time there. But then he goes even lower.

Hanna "Babe…" She pulls him away gently when he reaches her stomach.

Caleb "Let me do it, Han." He tells her softly.

Hanna smiles at him. "Why are you so obsessed with it?" She asks since it's not the first time he's tried it and she's stopped him.

Caleb goes back up and, burying his face in the crook of her neck, he plants another soft kiss there. "I just want to please you. You've done it for me many times… Why are you so sure you don't like it if you've never let me do it?" He takes the opportunity to ask, as this drunk Hanna seems to be more open and brutally honest.

He pulls away from her now and lies down on his side to look at her as he waits for her answer.

Hanna "Well… I've let someone do it before, and I ended up… faking… you know… to make him stop already." She confesses without looking at him. "I don't want to fake anything with you."

Caleb chuckles. "Let's make a deal…" He proposes. "One of these days, we are going to try it, and if you don't like it, you'll just be honest with me, and I'll stop it, and everything will be fine... I never want you to fake anything with me, ever. But not tonight, I don't want you to just agree to it because you are drunk."

Hanna nods and looks at him now. "Sounds perfect." She gets closer to him and kisses his lips softly. "There's another thing I would like to try now anyway." She smiles at him while lying on her side too, facing him.

Caleb "And what would that be?" he asks, intrigued while wrapping his arm around her lower back.

Hanna whispers something into his ear and rests her head back on the pillow.

Caleb smiles naughtily. "Oh, I like that." He answers and starts kissing her lips eagerly.
