Day 1: The Blight-Lights Gathers
With a groan, Drake Blacklight Jr. settled into his couch. The shop owner has his eyes closed and an arm covering them. Strangely, he had a towel over his chest.
"Five months…," Drake moaned, "It's been five months since that time, and my eyes are still bothering me."
He suddenly felt someone climb on him and uncovered and opened his eyes. His now purple eyes were meant with a towel-covered, dripping wet four-and-half-year grinning at him.
"Got away from mommy again, my little demon?" Drake asked with a hint of humor in his voice.
Masha just giggled and jumped off their father when they heard footsteps. The "knocked-down" human bolted just as their mother stormed into the room.
"MASHA REBERACA BLACKLIGHT!" Sally screamed. "Stop this instant! I'm not going to let you drip on the carpet again."
Drake chuckled when he saw his wife; Sally was also dripping wet. The newspaper writer looked around for her child and glared at her husband when she heard him laughing.
"You could have done something when she was with you?" Sally angrily said. "Why else would I give you that towel?"
"And miss this classic show," Drake replied jokingly. "Not for all the money in the multi-verse."
Drake laughed again when Sally glared at him, which looked cute on her wet face. He hissed suddenly and covered his eyes when pain shot through them.
"Remember that, Drake Blacklight," Sally retorted, "That's karma at work."
Sally then chased after her child, and Drake took the towel off as he settled back into the couch. He closed and covered his eyes again and listened as his wife chased their child.
It took Sally five minutes to catch Masha and finish drying her. Drake could hear his wife complaining loudly, all her words aimed at him.
He just smiled at this and got up. He slowly opened his eyes and blinked them three times. He then looked around and was glad the pain had completely subsided.
Just in time, too; the doorbell rang, and Drake had a good idea who was at his door. With a groan, he got up and went to the first floor. He smiled when he opened the door for his guests.
"Carol," Drake said joyfully, "How do you like the Boiling Isles Rejuvenation process?"
Carol Mason shared a lot with his daughter Heather; they both have blonde hair, though Carol's was showing signs of graying. He has the same skin tone as his daughter's. The only thing the two didn't share was their eyes; Heather's eyes were a few shades lighter.
"Unusual, to say the least," Carol admitted, then looked at Heather warmly. "But, strangely soothing at the same time."
Drake also looked at Heather and studied the third human to use a rejuvenation potion. Her outfit was simple; purple overalls, a lavender t-shirt, and pink sandals. Heather's hair was combed, and she wore heart-shaped clips to keep her hair out of her hair.
The clothing store owner's smile faded as he sighed. This didn't go unnoticed by Drake, and he frowned.
"You sure you can't weasel your way out of this meeting?" the flower shop owner asked curiously. "You used to do it all the time during our club meetings?"
Carol sighed and looked Drake in the eyes. "I would love nothing more than to spend the week with my daughter. But this meeting is too important to give to someone else."
"Hmm," Drake looked at Heather, hiding shyly behind her daddy's leg, and then back at Carol. "...Well, if I knew you, you would handle this like a pro, and who knows, you might get it all done and have some extra time."
Carol smiled at his friend's words and handed him a baby bag that Drake didn't see him carrying. Drake blinked as he took the bag.
"...I thought I told you this a few nights ago," Drake said awkwardly, "But when our kids get "knocked-down" they have enough control over their bodies. They don't need things like diapers or training pants."
Carol sighed and patted his daughter's head. Drake didn't miss the small whimper and blush on Heather's face.
"You also told me that those affected by those potions acted the way they did during that time," Carol replied, and Drake nodded. "Well, Heather had a…problem during this period. And I already know that it has returned with her rejuvenated body."
Drake made a face and looked at the girl. He saw she was holding the front of her pants tightly, and the blush on her face had gotten redder.
He didn't know what to make of this, but he trusted his friend and nodded as he slung the bag over his shoulder. Carol smiled at his friend and turned his attention to Heather.
"Now, remember what we talked about last night," Carol said sternly but fatherly. "You are to listen to Mister Blacklight and his witch friends while in the demon realm."
"Yes, Daddy!" Heather chirped and then offered her father a smile.
Drake noticed that Heather had a gasp in her front teeth she didn't have as a teenager.
Carol smiled at his daughter and leaned down. He hugged Heather as the third "knocked-down" human kissed her father on the cheek.
Carol let Heather go and looked at his friend. A silent message was exchanged between the two, and Drake nodded. Carol returned the gesture and patted his daughter's head.
Drake watched his friend leave and then took Heather up to his place.
"Well, hopefully, Sally got Masha ready, and we can get going soon," Drake explained to Heather.
Suddenly, a fully dressed Masha jumped in front of Heather and scared her by making a mild "boo" noise.
Heather screamed at the top of her lungs, only to suddenly stop. Drake and Masha watched as the blonde's face reddened, and she covered her private zone.
"Oh…" Drake said, eyes slowly turning to the bag on his shoulder, "That's why she needs this bag."
(A Few hours later- on The Boiling Isles)
"So, Drake?" Hettie Cutburn inquired, "How are you doing since our last meeting?"
Drake sighed as he took a seat in front of the healer. The ex-coven head made a circle and sent a spell to the human.
"The pain comes a lot less than it did two and half months ago," Drake explained. "But when it does, it still hurt like a son of-"
"Drake," Hettie interrupted warningly. "Though rejuvenated, there are children here. So, I expected you to behave in a fatherly manner.
Drake looked to his right and smiled; Orsan Cutburn was keeping Masha and Heather entertained by showing them some Oracle magic. The shop owner nearly chuckled when he saw how focused his child was.
"Hmm, this is interesting," Drake heard Hettie say, and he looked back at his host.
The ex-coven head had finished with her spell and was looking at the data it had given her. Drake waited as Hettie looked over the data.
"The bile in your system has further depleted," The healer said, shaking her head. "Still, I find it amazing that a human, even one with witch blood, is producing bile."
Drake sighed and looked at his kid again. He noticed that Masha's eyes were flashing purple.
"I know I ask this every time I see you, Healer Cutburn," Drake said, looking at the healer. "But should I be worried about Masha? We don't have sacs, but we are both producing bile?"
Hettie laughed and put a hand on her patient's shoulder. "Drake, you don't need to be so formal with me," she replied warmly. "And like I said before, your child isn't in any danger. The bile they're producing is even less than yours."
Drake frowned as he tried to put his worry away, but it wasn't easy, not after what he learned.
Shortly after the thing with that rogue witch, the ex-Healer Coven Head had examined both Drake and Masha. She learned during her examination that both Drake and Masha were making bile despite neither being a witch.
Hettie's voice brought Drake out of his thoughts before he could dwell on them further.
"Now, besides your regular bouts of pain and the changes to your eyes, have there been any other changes?"
"Just this," Drake said and held up his left hand.
Hettie watched as black-colored lightning sparked around Drake's palm. He kept doing this for nearly two minutes before Drake stopped due to a wave of vertigo hitting him. He moaned as he held his head, and Hettie used a spell to lessen the worst of it.
"I see that my theory about your other abilities evolving has been proven," Hettie observed, and Drake slowly nodded. "Truly, your body is fascinating."
Drake glared at the witch he would be staying with for the week. Hettie laughed at the look and used another spell to finish healing Drake of his vertigo.
"But you're here to enjoy a "knocked-down" week, not to get probed by me," Hettie said lightheartedly.
Drake stared at the healer for a second and then took a breath. He slowly stood up and looked around. He was glad that his vertigo was gone and then looked at the "knocked-down" humans.
"Masha, Heather," the shop owner called. "Finish up whatever you are doing. We're leaving soon."
Masha and Heather groaned, and Drake grinned as a thought popped into his head.
"...For the Owl House."
Both "knocked-down" humans gasped and immediately forgot about their oracle lesson, and Masha on Drake instantly.
"GO! GO!" Masha chanted, pulling on their father's arm.
Drake chuckled and picked up his child. He then offered his free hand to Heather. The "knocked-down" cheerleader blushed a little as she took Drake's hand. Drake smiled as he left the house and headed to the Owl House.

"Just because you were able to stop Trilight doesn't mean I'm still not disappointed in you two," Alador said, glaring at his two oldest children.
The Blight twin, Emria and Edric, just smiled an all-to-innocent smile as they walked to the Owl house. Emria's three-headed dog, Trilight, was also giving Adalor puppy dog's eyes with all of its three heads.
Aldor needed to look away from the overwhelmingly cute sight and focus on the outfit his children picked out for him.
The current 14-year-old was wearing a pair of white shorts and a gray t-shirt. Alador was also wearing black sandals with socks. His goggles were now hanging around his neck, and his outfit had abomination stains on it already.
Alador was brought out of his thoughts when he heard a noise and looked at it; the Blights had already reached the Owl House, and his kids were already heading inside. Alador let out a sigh and let his eyes wander.
He could see Em's pet playing with Hunter's pet around the hibernating Roca, and he frowned. If Puffy was already here, then that meant Darius was also here.
Alador suddenly felt like his feet had turned to lead. Despite having grown up with the ex-head witch, some part of the inventor couldn't help but fantasize about what his one-time partner looked like and what he was wearing.
Alador realized he was just stalling. So, with a sigh, he walked into the house.
"You're late," a gruff voice said.
Alador quickly looked to his right, hoping that Darius didn't see the blush on his face. He looked around and took note of who was there. He frowned as he saw that two families weren't present.
"Aren't the Parks and Porters joining us?" Alador wondered, eyes falling on Lilith.
The ex-coven head sighed and looked at her daughter and niece's friends. "That was the plan," she informed her old classmate. "But Harvey get injured a few days prior. Since Rejuvenation potions don't heal injuries, his husband decided to care for him during these next few days."
"And Janny's taking one for Lily," Eda added, playfully punching her sister on the chin.
"What my sister means…" Lilith clarified, pushing Eda's fist away, "Is that Jane Porter's heading to a nearby Isle for work."
Alador nodded and then turned his attention to the humans in the room. The Blacklights and Hopkins he has meant a few times before. Though the 14-year-old girl was a new face, he couldn't help but feel he had seen her before.
"Now that all the big kids are here, we can get this underway," Eda said, rubbing her hand together, and looked at Alador. "We already talked this over before you got here, but we decided what to do tomorrow."
"Why were you late, anyway?" Darius suddenly asked, glaring at Alador.
"Oh, that," Alador replied, blushing. "Emira's puppy got loose, and we had to chase it."
The magical inventor dared a look and saw Darius was pleased with this answer. He mentally sighed and turned his attention to Clawthorne.
"As my sister said, we have decided on tomorrow's event," Lilith said, "And we believe a beach day is best."
Immediately, the "knocked-down" coven were on their parental figures, eyes sparkling.
"Weally?" the group asked hopefully.
All the parents in the room smiled at their kids and nodded, causing the group to cheer. The girl, the only one not smiling, groaned and jumped to her feet.
"Can you think of anything more embarrassing than putting me in a swimsuit!?" the girl nearly screamed, glaring at the Hopkins. "It's bad enough that I go to school like this!"
"Jennifer," Danna said warningly, "Settled down."
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" The girl screamed, "My name's Jacob!"
"Not until your punishment is over," Jame replied calmly, standing.
Jacob wasn't intimated by the seven-inch height difference between the two and glared at her father.
"My punishment was supposed to be over months ago," the former male adult hissed.
"And you keep fudging things up," Eda retorted and then did a finger gun gesture, "By the way, love the look!"
Jacob growled as she looked down at her current outfit. She wore a pair of high-tops, black stockings that went up to the knees, and a denim skirt. She also wore a black, cut-off tank top with the word "Rebel Girl" in pink letters and a denim jacket.
Finally, Jacob's glasses were now large oval ones with a black frame.
"That's because whatever spell you use on me has been messing with my head," Jacob retorted weakly, a slight redness on her face.
"Jacob," Drake sighed, standing. "I don't know how many times we have to tell you this, but there's no spell messing with your head."
"Like I would believe that!" Jacob scoffed
Darius and Alador were curious, and both made spell circles. The two abomination witches sent a detection spell on the transformed human. The two witches couldn't find anything on Jaco that would suggest he was under a spell.
So magic wasn't behind Jacob's current state of being.
Drake sighed tiredly and said, "We had talked about this before we came here. Do good, and we will talk about turning you back to normal."
"But," James added, "That also means you have to be on your best behavior. And who knows, keep an open mind during all this, and you might find your views on witches changed."
Jacob grumbled but took her seat, arms crossed. Drake and James looked at Jacob for a second and sighed as they took their seats.
"Sorry about that," Jame offered the Clawthorne sisters.
"No need to worry," Eda replied with a dismissive wave, "We all have lived through a kid's rebel phase."
The ex-wild witch shot a teasing grin at her Jacob, and the former adult male groaned. She was quick to cover the words on her shirt, but all that did was get a laugh out of the group.
Once the group had come down from their fit, they continued to make plans, mapping out the activities for tomorrow.
Unknown to the group was Alador; every once in a while, he would cast a curious glance at Darius and quickly look away with a hint of red on his cheeks.

Well, nothing like having your condition flare up to put a raincheck on your plans. But that's beside the point. So, fun fact, Masha and Jacob's middles name are actually the names of Drake and Danna's grandparents.
Also, I will be detailing Heather's tale in this story and in "Daily Lives", so look forward to my take on one of the more popular background characters in the Owl House.
