Bowsette: A New Life

Chapter 9
The Koopa Queen hits the gym

After an ice pack was placed on the injured ankle for an hour the swelling had finally gone down, which Bowsette spent working on her reading. Luckily no matter her form Bowsette still healed much faster than a human did. That was one of the things she wanted to work on today, testing her new limits. Mostly she had just been reading and going for walks trying to stay steady, but she couldn't afford to be idle. She had a kingdom to conquer.

Not that she was afraid her army wouldn't be able to do so even without her. Another thing that was the same was the fact that the Mushroom Kingdom folded like a cheap suit when her army so much as crossed the borders. If it wasn't for the Mario Brothers, Yoshi, and the occasional ally nobody ever saw again afterward constantly foiling her attempts the kingdom and probably far more would've been hers in either reality a long LONG time ago. It amused Bowsette as much as it irritated her that those 3 were the only ones in the whole of the Mushroom Kingdom who seemed to be able to fight worth a damn.

Chuckling to herself, Bowsette made way to her personal workout room, which fortunately was mostly how she'd remembered it. The only way she even had a chance to kill those clods was if she could move and fight like the other Bowsette, if not better. Like her… ahem… tantrum room, there were mannequins to beat up, though she had to hold back a bit to avoid breaking these. Weights and exercise equipment of various types littered the room. Bowsette sighed contentedly and made her way to the bench press.

With a snap of her fingers, her minions approached from the door and got to each side of the dumbbell. Bowsette moved to lay down and cracked her knuckles. It was already stacked with more weights on it than the typical human could lift, but Bowsette lifted it like a feather. "More weight." The Koopas put on more weight, still too easy. "I said more weight!" The Koopas struggled to put more weights on the dumbbell, now it felt like it took a bit of effort. "MORE!" The Koopas had to work together to pile on weight on one side and then on the other. There weren't any weights left to attach and Bowsette was starting to feel the burn a bit.

"I said… " Bowsette grunted. "MORE WEIGHT!" The Koopa Troopas looked at each other in fear before one got an idea. He simply jumped on his side of the dumbbell and the other followed on theirs. "That's more… like… it!" Bowsette roared and pressed up and down… up and down… it was a good several minutes before she finally felt like her arms were getting tired.

Casually, Bowsette threw the dumbbell aside and the minions managed to hop off. "Leave me." She said and the two didn't need to be told twice, rushing out of the room without a word. Bowsette charged at a metal mannequin and struck it, first somewhat lightly for her, then harder. She turned and rushed straight at the mannequin on the other side of the room. The poor things were taking a beating, but Bowsette held back just enough so that they weren't completely wrecked.

A punch, a kick, a haymaker… Bowsette spent hours just hitting things in the room. She seemed just as strong as ever, if unable to put as much weight into her blows, though she was still surprisingly heavy for her size. It took focus, but she did manage to not trip or sprain herself on her heels during the workout. She kept going until every inch of her body was drenched in sweat, and then kept going more, until finally she threw up. "FUCK YEAH!" Bowsette roared as she finally came to a stop. She hadn't felt this good in a while and she reveled in it.

Breathing heavily, Bowsette looked around at the carnage she had wrought. Despite her best efforts the mannequins were dented and chipped in places. At some point, without thinking she had started hitting the exercise equipment, which luckily was made of sterner stuff. She grinned and breathed a stream of fire into the air.

"Guards!" Bowsette yelled. The two Koopa Troopas from earlier quickly entered the room, as afraid of keeping their Queen waiting as they were of entering the room where she was clearly in a mad frenzy. Bowsette looked at them and said quietly. "Bring a squad of Koopatrols here. Tell them to be in full gear. Immediately." One gulped. "Right away Queen Bowsette." The two rush out as Bowsette barks out an evil laugh.

A few minutes later, a dozen Koopatrols enter the room. In the meantime, Bowsette kept herself worn down with a bit more beating of mannequins so that she wouldn't render this pointless. The group lines up and stands at attention. "Queen Bowsette!" The apparent lieutenant said. "Reporting as ordered." The Koopa Queen had just struck a mannequin as they entered and turned around, grinning with full fangs on display.

Bowsette cracked her knuckles and neck to loosen up a bit. "Gentlemen. What comes next won't be pleasant." The woman said ominously. She could see the entire group starting to quiver in their shells. "Enough shivering! Are you Koopas or are you Toads!?" Bowsette shouted. The dozen Koopatrols tried their best to maintain their composure. "Now as for why you're here… I want you to come at me." Bowsette's grin was making the troops very uncomfortable. "My Queen?"

Bowsette grunted. "You heard me. Come at me!" She swiped her claws for emphasis. "All of you attack me you numbskulls! Right now! Don't you DARE hold anything back or I'll tear you out of your shells and crush you like a wiggler!" The Koopatrol squad looked at each other for only a moment. 'This is gonna suck.' The entire squad were clearly thinking in near unison, but they charged forward anyway.

As much exhaustion as Bowsette had driven herself to there really was no contest here and everyone involved knew it. The Koopatrols tried their best to defeat their Queen regardless, they were never one to refuse orders no matter how insane. One after the other made an attack, one sliding forward on their shells, another trying to gore her with their spiked head, yet another leaping high and trying to land on her head. Bowsette easily blocked or avoided their clumsy attacks. "Work TOGETHER you uncoordinated rookies!" Bowsette yelled after a minute of this.

Bowsette deliberately allowed herself to be surrounded by the squad. "Come… at… me…" She panted. The squad threw themselves at Bowsette, some trying to distract her while others attacked. Unfortunately for the Koopatrols she was too fast and nimble, not to mention strong. Bowsette punched one, kicked another, dodged another… this went on for a few minutes. When it finally seemed like she'd be overwhelmed Bowsette tucked herself into her shell and forced herself to slide forward, knocking a half dozen aside.

Popping out and turning back, Bowsette struck one that was running at her… and then another that had circled behind. Bowsette stopped and looked around the room. The Koopatrols were either unconscious or on the ground moaning and unable to get up. Only one still stood, the lieutenant, and he was paralyzed with fear. Bowsette stood tall and smirked. "Enough. We're done. Get these men to the infirmary lieutenant." She said and simply strode out.

'I need a shower…'
