Bowsette: A New Life
Chapter 27
The "date" continues
"Um Sir and Ma'am? That behavior is not acceptable in this establish…" The two almost simultaneously turned to the server that spoke and he quickly shut up, but it was too late. Bowsette of course was the one to speak. "How rude. We were having fun." Flames slightly puffed out her mouth as she said this menacingly. Mario looked at Bowsette alarmed at what she was about to do, but instead of setting the server on fire Bowsette glanced at Mario and grabbed another hunk of lasagna. She just tossed it at the server hitting him square in the chest, at which point the server made tracks. After that, they both went back to what they were doing. No one dared to interrupt and risk finding themselves with a face full of lasagna. They both kept going until eventually they ran out of food to throw at each other.
By the time the lasagna pan was empty Mario and Bowsette were caked in bits of the stuff. Mario was the last to reach over and attempt to grab another hunk, only to freeze upon realizing there was no more left. The two just stared at each other for a minute, dead silent. Bowsette's brand new dress and normally perfect hair was covered with meat and cheese. Meanwhile, Mario's iconic red shirt and overalls were so filthy he looked like he had just come out of a particularly unfortunate plumbing job.
"Hee hee hee…" Bowsette started it and Mario found himself unable to anything but follow along. "Ha Ha Ha…" Surprisingly warm giggles turned into full on laughter as both of them looked at the total mess they had turned each other into. Both kept laughing until they tapered off… only to look at each other again and burst out in laughter all over again. The rest of the patrons looked at the two archenemies like they had gone insane all of a sudden.

Their stomachs still grumbling, Mario and Bowsette exited after paying a rather generous amount for a meal they hadn't even eaten. Bowsette pulled Mario to a nearby stall to grab a juicy steak for herself… a half dozen. Mario grabbed his own, just the one not being the glutton the Koopa Queen was. Bowsette and Mario wolfed their food down as they walked around Toad Town aimlessly, seemingly having completely forgotten why they were even there in the first place.
Bowsette picked a bit of lasagna out of her hair and sighed. "Okay, that was fun, but now what?" It was getting pretty late at this point. The sun had long since disappeared and the full moon completely filled the sky. "It's getting-a too late to go out searching for Peach or Merlon now." Mario noted. "I guess we should go back to the castle for the night." Bowsette sighed. "Well…" Mario was about to say something but was a bit nervous.
"Spit it out Pasta Freak." Bowsette said impatiently. "Um… you could stay at my-a house you know." Mario finally managed. "Ooh ho!" Bowsette said mockingly. "Really slick there Plumber. I know we've known each other for a long time but asking a lady over to your place? You must think I'm either really easy or really stupid, or both." Mario is about to protest when Bowsette chuckled. "Sure, why not?" Bowsette smirked. "If you've got one you're sleeping on the couch though." She noted.
"Okie dokie." It was fair enough. Mario wasn't looking to bed the woman anyway, though the prospect did make him blush. With the Toad soldiers still shadowing the group as always, Mario led Bowsette to the green pipe that would lead them both to his house. Mario jumped up to the lip of the pipe and reached down to take Bowsette's hand to help her up. Bowsette would never admit it but she did appreciate the gesture, yet due to her pride she smacked his hand away. "I don't need your help Pasta Freak." Bowsette grabbed the lip of the pipe and pulled herself up with ease, immediately entering.
"I'm-a never gonna figure this-a woman out…" Mario sighed and hopped in himself. As he shot through the pipe like he had done more times than he could count, something was brewing in the back of his mind. A suspicion that had been growing ever since the fight and kiss long ago. With a smirk, he decided to test it. If nothing else Bowsette would get a kick out of his plan, figuratively and literally.
As Mario exited the pipe not far behind the Koopa Queen, he took a moment to head over to turn on the lights in his yard as she simply made her way to the door. "Bowsette." Mario called. "What Pasta Freak?" She turned to find Mario in a battle stance. "It's been-a too long since we've had a rumble." Mario said. Bowsette's eyes widened but she quickly hid her surprise. "What, did I offend you today?" Bowsette asked confused.
"Nah." Mario said. "I just-a want to go a few rounds." Mario's smirk was matched by her own. "A few? You wouldn't even last one!" Bowsette's mouth was formed into a halfhearted scowl but another part of her was starting to flare up. "Don't blame me…" Bowsette swiped at the air. "if you get hurt plumber!" With no further words, Bowsette charged.
Mario pulled out his hammer and swung, knocking Bowsette's hand away as she clawed at him. With a jump, she leapt over Mario and pounded the ground, but Mario expected it and dodged. Taking the opportunity presented, Mario swung again and hit Bowsette in the stomach. "Agh!" That's when he saw it, not just the Koopa Queen grinning widely despite the pain, but the look in her eyes was something he could finally identify. For a brief moment, the same look in her eyes she had just as Bowsette started to kiss him a while back appeared again.
'I knew-a it.' Mario smirked. As the fight continued Mario only saw more evidence of his suspicion. She wasn't just having fun, Mario could now see Bowsette was getting aroused by the blows he was inflicting on her. 'Was that what-a it was all about? Just how-a she got off? The kidnappings, the-a fights, the life and-a death struggle to survive?' Mario pondered as the woman retaliated with a stream of fire that started burning up his lawn.
Mario dodged, then rather than charge again, he simply stood up. "That's-a enough." Mario said firmly. Bowsette stopped in her tracks. "What, afraid I'll beat you?" Bowsette grinned maniacally. "Nah. I just-a wanted to confirm something." Mario grinned back mischievously. "What are you talking about Pasta Freak?" The plumber grinned. "Tell me-a how you're feeling right now. You have fun?" Mario asked. "Well… yeah! I always do. What of it?" Bowsette said, confused by the question. "Oh… nothing. Maybe you're-a feeling something else?" Mario prods. "Something more… personal?"
Bowsette was always a major blockhead, so she stood there for a moment wondering what he was hinting at. "Wait… wha…" Suddenly Bowsette's face went bright red as Mario's hints finally hit her. It was true, Bowsette was definitely feeling strongly aroused. While she was fighting Bowsette didn't even notice, but now that Mario called attention to it… "I… that's none of your business you creep!" Bowsette tried to cover her embarrassment by turning it into rage but she couldn't muster the willpower.
"Okie dokie. If you-a say so." Mario turned away and walked up to his door, humming a familiar tune to himself and grinning while Bowsette couldn't see it. Unlocking and opening the door, he left the Koopa Queen standing there stunned. "You… you you you Italian thing you!" Bowsette yelled lamely. "Well? You-a coming?" Mario said." "First one to the tub gets-a the hot water!" Mario slams the door shut behind him chuckling as the Koopa Queen snapped out of it and rushed to the door. "No fair!" Bowsette yelled she made it to the door.
Barreling inside the bathroom well ahead of the irate Queen, Mario rushed to the tub. It was a decent sized house, Luigi and Mario had lived together here for most of their adult lives until recently Luigi got his own place. Mario guessed it might have something to do with Daisy's increasingly frequent visits as of late motivating that. Despite Bowsette's best efforts however, Mario had too much of a lead and shut the bathroom door behind him. A naughty thought of leaving the door unlocked and letting Bowsette inevitably "accidentally" see him naked briefly crossed his mind, but decided he had teased Bowsette enough for one day. Besides, that sort of trickery wasn't his style anyway. Mario locked the door before dropping his overalls and washing up.
