Two hours later…

The Craftsman…

Kitchen..

Alan got off the phone, puzzled, as the bank needed to talk to him once again, much to his irritation, as he had thought, or hoped, that every single account was cleared and that there was no more need to go everything anything that Stan had touched over the years, especially since the case had been official closed.

'It never ends.'

He had thought about the last couple times he had visited Stan in prison, as they had talked about the embezzlements Stan was involved with and had gotten no indication that there were any more hidden accounts and Stan wasn't that good of a liar.

At least that's what Alan had thought.

Don walked in and saw something was wrong with his father and grew concerned, as he knew what it was about.

"Everything okay Dad?" Don asked

"Hmm? Oh, it's the bank again, as they had a concern about one of the accounts again, and I am wondering if there was something else Stan had been hiding."

Don simply put his hand on his father's shoulders, as he had reassured his father in the past that the FBI and IRS had combed through everything that they could and he even had Charlie look through everything just to be sure.

"I'm sure it's nothing Dad, I mean banks sometimes like to pull things on people when they are least expecting it." Don said, knowing that it wasn't completely reassuring.

"I know, I just hate that this situation keeps coming back to bite me." Alan said tiredly, as he just wanted to put it behind him.

"Do you want me to come with you to the bank?" Don offered, just wanting to somehow make his father feel better about the issue.

Alan shook his head, as he knew that Don had already done enough to help him out with the case, with what the FBI had allowed him to do when the elder Eppes was cleared and even that was a little risky.

"No, Donnie, I think I will take this meeting by myself, as it's my own mess to begin with, but I really appreciate the offer." He said as he patted his eldest in the back before giving him a hug.

"I know." Don said with a knowing smile.
