Besides the Dementor's attack, the grim (fake) prophecy by professor Trelawney, and double potions with Snape that morning. Harry has been having a good first week overall. Thankfully, nobody knew about his encounter with the Dementor on the train other than Hermione, Draco, and professor Lupin- the sleeping man from the train. Turns out he's Lockhart's replacement as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and he drove the Dementors away on the train.

Next, he has: Defense Against the Dar Arts, with Lupin. DADA lessons have been a lot of fun for Harry, and he's been learning a lot from Lupin. Way more than he ever did from either Lockhart or Quirrell.

When he entered the classroom this afternoon with Draco, he found in it a few early students standing in the middle of the classroom, where usually you'd find desks, Lupin, and a closet.

"Boggart!" Lupin announced, when the class began, that this closet contains a Boggart. He went on to explain what a Boggart is, and how to dismantle it. "Okay, let's form a line!"

One by one, the students would face their Boggart, and they needed to dismantle it. As the line progressed Harry saw many terrifying and not so terrifying things. There were some clowns, some vampires, etc. Ron's boggart was a giant spider. Neville's was Snape.

Draco's turn. As Draco stepped forward to face the boggart, the boggart started to form Draco's deepest fear. It was tall. A tall man. A tall faceless man? No, wait. It's still forming. Long blonde hair. Is that? His father.

"I am disappointed in you, Draco!" The Boggart Mr. Malfoy said, as he walked towards Draco, slowly, with his cane.

"Riddikulus!" Draco pointed his wand at the Boggart. The floor turned slippery, and the Boggart slipped and fell. A terrified Lucius Boggart tried to recover as the students laughed at his failed attempts.

"Next!" Lupin shouted, before realizing Harry was next.

Harry walked up to the Boggart, but before the Boggart could form into anything, Lupin jumped between it and Harry. Why'd he do that?

The Boggart started taking the form of Lupin's worst fear, which was… a full moon?

"Riddikulus!" The moon turned into a Quaffle, which bounced off the ground towards Lupin, who kicked it into the closet, and with a swish from his wand, locked it in. "Okay, that's our time for today."

As students started to leave, Harry stayed behind. "Go ahead, I'll catch up with you." He told Draco, who initially was waiting for him. A few minutes later, he was alone with Lupin.

"Harry!" Lupin exclaimed. "How can I help you?"

"Why'd you do that, professor?"

There's a pause, before Lupin answers: "I was worried it was gonna take on the form of Lord Voldemort."

Harry noticed that Lupin said Voldemort's name. Not a lot of people do that.

"So, it's not because I fell unconscious on the train?"

"What? No." Lupin answered, surprised. "I was just worried it'd be too scary for the class."

Harry felt embarrassed.

"If you want," Lupin started his proposition, "you can face it now, that it's just you and me." He offered.

"I'd like that." Harry said, and prepared to face his Boggart. Lupin got up from his desk, and walked up to the closet.

"Ready?" Lupin asked, Harry nodded. Lupin opened the closet.

Out of the closet came not Lord Voldemort, but a Dementor. The room turned cold and foggy, Harry was hearing his mother's voice again.

"Riddikulus!" The Dementor disappeared, and his robe fell to the ground.

Silence. Harry looks to Lupin, who's simply looking at the robe-shaped Boggart.

"What happened on the train?" Lupin asked.

"It became cold and foggy…" Harry started saying.

"Did you see or hear anything?" Lupin interrupted impatiently.

"I heard my mother," said Harry, "before she died."
