Harry was sitting in the Slytherin common room with Draco, reading the book on Animagi that professor Lupin gave him, while devouring the snacks Draco brought back from Honeydukes in Hogsmeade.

Whatever professor Lupin saw in the Forbidden Forest, it terrified him. Harry wondered what it could be…

"Students!" Snape entered the common room and called for their attention. "There has been an attack on the castle, and you are to spend the night in the Great Hall under the faculty's watchful eyes as an additional safety measure."

Additional instructions were given, and Snape left the students to get their stuff.

"Do you think it's Sirius Black?" Draco whispered to Harry, as they were changing into their pajamas in the dorm.

"Do you think anybody got hurt?" Harry asked back, to which Draco simply shrugged.

They arrived at the Great Hall, and every student has been provided with a sleeping bag. Harry and Draco took two that were next to each other, and then Hermione arrived, and took the one right next to Harry.

"I heard Sirius Black attacked the Fat Lady portrait." She whispered to Harry, "He was trying to get into the Gryffindor common room."

"How did you know that?" Draco whispered back.

"Neville told me."

Soon enough, the Great Hall falls quiet, as everyone falls asleep. Except for Harry. He couldn't sleep. If Sirius Black could make it into the castle, what's stopping him from just barging in and… kill him? Kill him? Is that what Sirius Black wanted to do with him? Or did he want torture him for information about Voldemort's whereabouts? Either way, it is terrifying!

"Sir, the castle is clear." Snape's voice came from over his head, he pretended to be asleep.

"Thank you, Severus!" Dumbledore's voice, calm and assured as always.

"How did that happen?"

"I am not sure, but we're looking into it."

"I bet he's had some help from the inside…"

A pause, before Dumbledore replied: "What are you insinuating, Severus?"

"All I'm saying, sir, Black's old friend…" Snape started saying, but got interrupted by Dumbledore.

"I trust him, Severus." Dumbledore said, firmly.

Another pause.

"Sir,"

"Yes?"

"If Black is after Potter, why did he attack the Gryffindor portrait and not Slytherin's?"

Harry knew the answer to this one.

"He probably doesn't know Harry got sorted into Slytherin and not Gryffindor."

Harry is starting to find it annoying; people assuming he's in Gryffindor just because his parents were.

"Just goes to show he's not getting any inside help…" Dumbledore added.
