The Collector had made a new portal door for Luz, and the day had finally come for her to move back to the Human Realm.
She'd finished packing up her things in the Owl House. "I'm really gonna miss staying here."
She stepped outside, where Camila and Luz's Demon Realm friends were waiting.
"I'm sure you'll want to have a moment with everyone," said Camila.
"Yeah," said Luz.
"Take as much time as you need, mija. I'll be waiting."
"Thanks Mom."
The portal door activated and opened.
"Adios, everyone!" Camila said to the witches. "And gracias for taking care of my Luz!"
"Bye Camila!" said the witches.
Camila stepped through the portal.
First, Luz went to her school chums. "Well guys, looks like this is it."
"Yeah," said Amity. "Things won't be the same with you not being at Hexside anymore."
"But at least you'll be able to come visit us whenever you want," said Willow.
"And we'll get to explore more of the Human Realm whenever we get the chance," said Gus.
"Yeah," said Luz. "I'll definitely come when I have free time. And I'll tell Vee you guys said hi."
"And we'll be sure to tell everyone at Hexside you'll miss them," said Amity.
The four of them did a group hug. Luz then went to Hunter.
"You gonna be okay?" said Luz.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." said Hunter. "I'm finally free to do whatever I wanna do. I'm still not certain who I wanna be, but at least I'll have them to help guide me."
"That's good. You hang in there."
"You too."
The two of them did a fist bump. Luz then went to Raine and Lilith.
"It's been nice meeting you, Raine," said Luz.
"It's been nice meeting you too, Luz," said Raine.
"You'll still look after Eda, won't you?"
Raine chuckled. "Of course I will."
They shook hands.
"And Lilith, I couldn't have asked for a better aunt like you."
"And I couldn't have asked for a better niece like you, Luz" said Lilith.
They hugged.
Hooty, who was in his portable house being worn by Lilith, came out and circled around Luz. "Oh dear sweet Luz! Oh how I'll miss you so! Hoot!"
Luz laughed. "I'll miss you too, Hooty."
And last but not least, came the Owl family.
"Now you know I'm not one for sappy farewells," said Eda, "but it's gonna be hard not having your lively human self around all the time."
"Yeah," said Luz. "What do you plan on doing now that you're no longer a wanted criminal?"
"Ah, who knows. My magic's still weak, but I won't let that stop me. I've got a whole lifetime to figure out my next steps."
"I still can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me."
"It's you I should be thanking. You've practically changed my life and that of everyone else here. You're one of the best humans I've ever known, and I'm really glad to have met you." Eda then ruffled Luz's hair. "You be a good kid and take real care of your mom."
"I will."
Owlbert flew to Luz and cooed as he rubbed against her cheek.
"Aww. I'll miss you too, Owlbert."
And then came King.
"Well, little buddy. Looks like it's that time."
"Yeah," said King. "I'm really sorry you can't use glyphs anymore."
"Don't be. Even though I can't use glyphs, I'm not giving up on learning magic and being a witch."
"Good to hear. And I still need to figure out what kind of Titan I really wanna be."
"Well whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll become a great Titan."
"Thanks Luz."
They hugged.
With her farewells finished, Luz approached the portal. Before leaving, she looked back at the witches and waved to them. "See you later, everyone!"
"See you later!" said the witches as they waved back.
And Luz stepped through the portal.
