Donna found herself on the return flight from Alto Mare to Rosewood. She was tidying up her room aboard The Millenium Falcon when she noticed Baby Groot stumbling upon a book. It was at that moment that Donna had a realization. "Oh dear," she exclaimed, "I completely forgot about my library book from the Hartfeld Public Library. I had intended to write a version of it for a special program they are hosting, where children can create their own stories. I thought, if they can do it, so can I."
"I Am Groot. (Is that the one where a boy transforms into a woman and seeks to protect a bird?)" Groot inquired.
"Yes, that's the one, Baby Groot," Donna replied to her younger brother. "And don't worry about Rocket, he's currently enjoying his relaxing mud baths. Mom suggested it would help calm his nerves after our adventures in Alto Mare."
"Story! Story!" Animal exclaimed as he burst into the room.
"Animal!" Donna scolded. "You know Rocket is taking his mud bath and doesn't want to be disturbed."
"Sorry," Animal responded.
"Hey, Babe," Michael interjected. "I heard you're going to read another story, and the others thought it would be nice to listen as well."
Perplexed by her boyfriend's comment, Emma led a group of sick and injured Pokemon into the room. "These are additional patients from the Alto Pokecenter who don't have any insurance," she explained. "Professor Atkins remembered that he had a former employee who is now a Pokemon doctor at The Underground Hospital."
Smiling, Donna said, "The more, the merrier."
Opening the book, Donna began reading Raven Wild, a story from the same series as Promised Lands and Maiden Voyage.
Once upon a time, there was a far-land of old,
With creatures of all kind that a magic gem controlled.
The jewel was in a temple, through a jungle thick and green,
In the north, beyond the wall, where a few had ever been.
The cliff towns of the south where our story must begin,
We find a hawk, a raven, and a loyal friend named, 'Finn'.
