Pey'j and Jade found themselves sitting in the locker rooms of Pagan Min's Hostel. Where the wresters suited up for their up coming matches. One of those matches, Pey'j had to unfortunately, participate in. He may be strong, but he's no wrester. Jade was sitting next to the hog hybrid loosely holding a can of Cobra Juice as she grumbled to herself.

"don't do femme fatale, I mean I can pull off a lot of things, but femme fatale, fuck no." Stupid Warden, with her stupid fucking head bombs.

"Um... well, I think you look good" Pey'j could tell Jade was uncomfortable in that dress. And he had to agree, femme fatale was not her style. But still, he wanted to be nice. First thing he's going to do once he's free, is punch that bitch in the face for making his little girl dress up like that. Wait, did he just say his? What is he thinking, she could never. He's only her guardian, nothing more.

Pey'j and Jade sat in silence. The still quiet only being interrupted by Jade opening her can and taking a swig. However, Pey'j's mind was anything but quiet. Thoughts racing with doubts. What if I told her, and she hates me for it? Resenting me for even suggesting that I could ever replace what she lost? He couldn't bare the thought of losing her, but he also couldn't keep these thoughts to himself anymore. Especially when there was a chance that she could. Pey'j finally broke the silence.

"I'm proud of ya Jade" He already feels regret setting in. But he pushes it away. This maybe his last chance.

"For what?" Jade looked at him confused. The mission hasn't even officially started yet. All she was doing was sitting on a bench drinking an energy drink. It was hardly worth the praise.

"For being so smart, and resourceful and just, being you" Jade looked at Pey'j. Not sure as to why he suddenly being so… sentential. Does he think were going to die? Why would he think that? They managed to survive together this long. Why would now be any different?

"Thanks, your pretty great yourself, even if you are a big old softie" Chuckling while nudging Pey'j in the side with her elbow.

"I mean it, When I met you for the first time. I knew you were going to go places. And when your parents died. I tried my best to raise to you, to be the wonderful woman I knew you could be." Pey'j takes in a breath. Attempting to quell his rising anxiety. It's not really working, but he already got this far. He may as well finish his confession. He will deal with any potential consequences afterwards.

"And as the years went by, I started to see you as less of the daughter of close friends, and more as… my own daughter. I know you may resent me, for trying to replace your parents. I swear I didn't mean to get so attached, I just-"

Pey'j's rambling is suddenly interrupted by Jade's laughter. He looks down in shame. He knew telling her was a mistake. Jade looks at Pey'j, her laughter having died down. Her face softened, smiling warmly at the ashamed hybrid.

"Sorry for laughing, I just… find it funny how you'll think I would resent you for thinking of me as your daughter, I mean you've raised me since I was baby! I would be shocked if you didn't see me as your child!" Pey'j chuckles a bit himself, it does sound little stupid now that she said it.

"And anyway, you were always more of a parent to me, than my actual parents. I don't even remember what they were like" She signs, glancing off to the side. Thinking about her parents, always made her upset. Thinking about the what ifs, she quickly snaps out it. Best not to dwell on what could have been.

They both perk up when they hear the announcer call out Pey'j's name. It seems it's his turn to enter the ring. Jade throws her can into a nearby bin. The contents being mostly gone by this point.

"You ready big guy?" Pey'j stands up, facing the door. Jade stands next to him. Placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Nope. Not at all" Jade moves her hand away from his shoulder. As they both start heading out the door. As long they got each other, nothing can go wrong.

…Right?
