Omake #18 – Shoreside Dinner (Canon) – The Recess Gang – (After Chapter 120)

(Sixth Island | June 28th | 5:00 p.m.)

The Recess gang bar Spinelli were having dinner at the cafeteria and at a loss at the quality of food they were getting.

"If breakfast and lunch are like this very day…well we certainly can't complain." Mikey mused.

"This is basically a private school." Gretchen said as Spinelli arrived with her plate. "And where have you been?"

"Hanging with the girls..." Spinelli said off-handedly. "How was the intro class?"

"Teacher was barely older than us…but she was a total fox." Vince said. "Too bad she's a teacher…"

"And way out of your league…" Spinelli snarked before beginning to eat. "How's the schedule for you all look like?"

"Well, most are in the afternoon which is good…they are requiring us to take swimming classes." TJ said. "But I'm a bit more concerned of when I hit that growth."

"Patience is a virtue." Mikey said as Gretchen handed Spinelli the Nuggets Crimson left for them.

Then Sakura came over asking if she wanted to join them for a meeting at the Black Dragon Fan Club.

"There's free snacks." Sakura said.

Spinelli found herself soon dragged there by her friends after eating in a classroom that was decorated with several. A side for Crimson, one for Joe, one for Rusty, and one for Misty. Students either wore a Red Logo Cap, a hat similar in design to Rusty's iconic hat, or some piece of clothing that either the top BDs wore or inspired by one of them. The newcomers were introduced to the leader of the group…who was revealed to be Delora.

"Delora, you run this cabal?" Spinelli said as the goth girl just blushed.

"Crimson's a dreamboat and his flagship Pokémon is a Gengar. I love Gengars…so spooky." Delora said. "I didn't say anything because I was uniting the groups. The BDFC is a union of the Crimson Cyclists, the Rust Busters, the Roger Renegades, the Sissi fans, and the Misty fans."

"Sissi has a fan club?" Spinelli said in disbelief.

"A lot of them are boys who wished they had asked her out…" Delora joked. "But have some snacks and have a seat."

In came Maria Calavera, to which Vince asked if she was a fan as well. Nani had an awkward stare for her given it was Lilo who dragged her here.

"Not to the level of these students, I was coming to make sure my son, Marcel, made it here. But I see he's not…"

The door swung open as a boy about Lilo's age came in with a familiar hat that was too big for him. Jaw dropped as the hat was the exact said one Crimson wore fighting Mewtwo…with the addition of his autograph.

"Where did you get that?" Delora screeched.

"I ran into him, and he gave his hat to keep quiet where he was. He even signed it!" Marcel said excitedly.

Both Nani and Maria raised eyebrows but said nothing. As for Crimson…back out in the halls.

"Coast is clear, Giselle." Crimson said as Giselle came out of the classroom fixing her skirt.

"We shouldn't have done there…" Giselle said with a blush. "He could have heard us…"

"But he didn't. I won't lie, it's been a huge fantasy to give it good to a teacher." Crimson said as Giselle rolled her eyes.

"Don't forget you owe me dinner…and not the cafeteria." Giselle said.

"About that, Rusty wanted us to join him and his girlfriends for better. Still freaky that he's dating triplets." Crimson said.

"I think that's more indicative of his physical stamina to be able to date and please triplets." Giselle joked. "Maybe I missed out."

Omake #19 – Not the Best Reunion (Canon) – The Ikaris – (Between Chapter 120 and 121)

(Cianwood City | June 30th | 8:00 a.m.)

Ford Langley had plenty of regrets in his life. The bungling of how he handed his first daughter was something that stung…which is why he did spoil his second one a bit.

"Dear, you can't just pace around…"

"Geyong-mi, I'm just nervous…"

It was ironic really, how similar Geyong-mi and Kyoko were. Both around the same height and build with a mix of German and Asian ancestry. Though Geyong was a half a decade younger with dark hair and Korean ancestry. In a twisted sense, Areum, their daughter, was a mirror to Asuka and half a decade younger. Eerily, the two had similar features only...with thinner and straighter dark hair.

"It's not like Asuka didn't accept you coming." Geyong-mi said.

"I didn't expect that the last call from her would be to tell me that she's married!" Ford remarked. "I just…she's still young."

"You know how it is here…" Geyong-mi mused.

"Yeah, I know…but she's still my little girl." Ford said.

"So, is that her? Because it looks she's with some guy." Areum said pointing them out.

Ford looked over…he had not seen her in years. It hit to see Asuka was much bigger than when he was last with her face to face. She was walking by without a care in a floral sundress and sunhat while holding Shinji was in a matching Alolan shirt and shorts. The couple looked completely at ease as they headed to a nearby café.

"So I'm assuming the husband?" Geyong-mi said as Ford sighed with relief. "You know him?"

"Not that well, I know his parents. I know the kid doesn't have a mean bone in his body like him…and my girl is happy. So, let's go rip the band-aid." Ford said as they went in after them.

Asuka was in the middle of drinking a latte.

"Hello, Asuka." Ford said as she spat the drink out.

"And my coffee's ruined this morning." Shinji said with a sigh.

Asuka had been angry at her father for a time, but then time passed…leaving her to doubt if cutting him off was right. Then the call came…but she was expecting him later.

"You're early." Asuka said as Shinji tossed his ruined coffee in the trash.

The family had joined the table leading to a reunion at last.

"Asuka, I wanted to start my apologizing about-"

"Don't. There's no need. I'm no longer mad about what happened…mom…wasn't well in the head. And looking back, I get it. I don't like how you handled it, but I understand." Asuka said. "After growing up and having time to think, I realized that just cutting you out like that wasn't right for me to do. You're still my father."

"Well, this makes this a lot easier." Ford said. "Let me introduce your half-sister, Areum."

"What's up?" Areum said casually.

"So can I just bring up that she kinda looks me…and that my stepmother resembles mom?" Asuka asked.

Ford had a hollow laugh about claiming that he had a type. The icebreaker needed for the family to start to start healing some old wound and form new bonds. Then Shinji asked about his father and Ford working together.

"I didn't work with your father, but Kyoko did." Ford said before looking at the rings on their fingers. "I suppose I should at least tell you both the whole story. Look before Kyoko's breakdown, our relationship had problems. Kyoko was a workaholic. You and Asuka don't realize it, but you two are the products of a bit of human experimentation."

Asuka was slack-jawed, but Shinji was not surprised. He knew enough of his father's dark deeds.

"All I know is that their goal was to make super soldiers. When your mom was losing her mind, I just shut down on caring for her…because I only found out this…after your mother ended up in the mental ward. I read her diary…she kept me in the dark on purpose…she used me just for the genetics. I don't know even who the real Kyoko is…I know she cared about you…but." Ford said sheepishly.

"Well, I lost the mood for coffee…" Shinji said. "And it's too early to start drinking…"

Asuka was awash with different emotions, but asked if he had that diary still.

"I do. Most of her possessions was snatched up by Gendo and his people, but I hid this from them." Ford said bitterly. "There is one more detail…Yui Ikari was working on an invention that supposedly makes a backup body in the event she dies…supposedly she succeeded."

Shinji dropped his fork as Asuka looked mortified.

"You're telling me there's a chance my mother is alive…" Shinji said. "And now my appetite is gone, and my day is ruined."

"Would it make you feel better if I say I did bring alcohol in case things between me, and Asuka went poorly?" Ford asked.

"Ford." Geyong-mi snapped. "Alcohol is not going to make it better."

"It will for a while." Shinji said dryly.

Omake #20 – Not Much of an Escape Route (Canon) – ? – (Post-Series)

(Verdanturf Town | July 6th | 8:00 a.m.)

She had to admit that when she first heard of Crimson, she did not expect much. A newbie trainer that came from some po' dunk small town did not seem like something to make a fuss over. But then she started doing more research…seeing his feats…and keeping her ear to the underground. She realized quickly that she did not want to be in that guy's way, and she knew she had to go the moment Sigma Purple declared he was a threat to be eliminated. On one hand, she understood why…but on the other, she knew going after him when he seemed to more focused on Kanto was just begging for him to take the fight to them. The last straws were finding out Kanto was where most of the Roanapour's people went to, most of those befriending Crimson, Crimson seemingly 'waking up from a coma' to snap an assassin's neck, and then murdering her former boss leading the mafia that once roamed Roanapour extinct.

Those were what lead to call Rock for a bit of help and in turn lead to her calling Crimson two days ago while getting the hell out of Sigma Purple's reach. However, given she was technically an illegal immigrant, she realized she could not just board a ship out of the region which forced her to call in for help which led to today. She was waiting in a café having breakfast as her Pokémon watched her back. Tsukihana the shiny Umbreon, Kafiro the Growlite, and Zangya the Zangoose. Though they were not her, but originally belonging to the previous tech guy Sigma Purple had…that the group murdered in front of her after training her. The reason? The boss didn't want to pay the severance package. Thus, Feng was given his Pokémon. The four had bonded over the loss and the Pokémon will more than willing to help her escape…listening to her without question.

"Package delivery for Yifei."

Kafiro heard it and ran outside barking for the source of the voice to come down revealing itself to be a Mega Pidgeot swoop down. Kafiro went up to Feng to get her attention to the bird that walked up tossing her a backpack (one of the same ones given to the Kassai students) and a package before flying up into the air. In a burst of speed, the bird was out of sight. With that, she paid for the meal and left with her Pokémon straight for the Rusturf Tunnel. With the construction stalled, the tunnel was void of people bar the couple who work with chat with a wall of rocks in the way of each other. She came out of the exit to Route 116, the part of it cut by the tunnel itself, a hideaway where a Secret Base could be formed. It was a miracle she even got in that 'club' without papers as she entered the place. The base wasn't exactly decorated as she didn't have the PC setup all trainers had due to her status. She opened the package first to find a trainer's license, a blue and black PokéGear, official papers, a new laptop, a Poké Ball, and a paper with an instruction.

'The numbers are loaded on the new phone, transfer what you need…then trash the old phone. Call me, Crimson.'

"Shit. So much for him not knowing." Feng said as she did what was instructed.

She had Kafiro torch her old phone before calling on the new one, putting it on speaker.

"Feng. Or should I call you Li Xinlin?" Crimson mused.

"Feng is fine." Feng remarked.

"Well, I wanted you to explain a few things to you. For one, Ming…that tech guy you worked with…yeah, turns out he was a relative of yours. Cousin, actually. Ironically, they were the Yifei family. It's how Rock and I got your paperwork fast-tracked." Crimson said.

"Oh my god, I had no idea he was my…" Feng said in disbelief.

"It's ok…he had a mother, but I got a plane ticket out of Hoenn. So you have an aunt to visit in the future? But I didn't just get your papers, but a trainer's license. Like it or not, you have your cousin's Pokémon, you need to raise and learn to protect yourself." Crimson remarked.

"Me? A trainer, but I…"

"Look, the only reason I see Sigma Purple didn't keep a good leash on you is because they think they can push you around. I'm telling you to become a trainer so you can improve your Pokémon and your body's strength up. That way, you can protect yourself. If you're apart from the Secret Base Guild, they're going to eventually ask questions which is why I got you the license, the paperwork, and that laptop which has the PC storage setup all trainers use. I even put money down on some items for you to decorate your base and they're storage on that thing. I called in a favor to get you starter Pokémon, that backpack with some supplies, and new clothes for you to blend in. You want my advice? If you want to get around the region, focus on getting Lavaridge Town's Heat Badge to get authorization to use Strength, Fortree City's Feather Badge to get the authorization to use Fly, and Petalburg Town's Balance Badge to get the authorization to use Surf. Get those and you'll be able to move around more easily. Good luck, Miss Yifei." Crimson said. "And we're even….aside from one little thing I give you in addition. For that, you owe me 100 grand, and you'll see why when you look in the bag."

He hung up and Feng realized Crimson had a point. She knew she had to get stronger…because after seeing that Sigma Purple had her witness the death of a family member…it was personal now. She decided to try on the new outfit sent to her finding herself in a sapphire blue tank top with a black undershirt, a blue and white track jacket, a white ball belt for her Poké Balls, black Lycra mini-leggings, a blue and black headband with a bow that resembles rabbit ears, blue fingerless gloves, and blue socks in a pair of black ankle boots with blue laces and soles.

"Well, it's time I got moving." Feng remarked before seeing what the Pokémon within the ball was.

It was a Mudkip with a piece of a paper that she read.

"I heard you like Mudkip…is this a joke? I don't get it."

What she did get it was that thing that Crimson claimed was valuable. She found a Mega Bracelet alongside a Mega Stone…for the Swampert she would eventually have to get in the future.

Omake #21 – For the Love of Delmas (Canon) – Joe/Sissi – (Post-Series)

(Zero Island | July 6th | 11:00 a.m.)

Joe had faced so much yet meeting Sissi's father was what got her far more nervous than anything. However, the man did not see him as some parasite to his relief…quite the opposite as they sat in the living room of Joe and Sissi's shared hotel penthouse at the Triton.

"I'm sorry, it's just I never expected Sissi to take to this so well…let alone have a relationship considering she can be a bit…abrasive." Mr. Delmas remarked.

"She's not that bad at all." Joe said sheepishly. "Besides she puts up with my flaws."

"Speaking of Sissi, where is she?" Mr. Delma said.

"She said something about a phone call…" Joe said thoughtfully.

Up on the Triton's rooftop, Sissi was on the phone with Jérémie, getting more worried by the second.

"What do you mean the data's been taken?" Sissi remarked.

"Someone's been harvesting fragments of XANA, data on the sectors, and looking to get intel in any who entered Lyoko using the broken remains of the replicas we all destroyed. Someone's making their own Replicka." Jérémie remarked. "The only reason they're not getting data from our end is because the supercomputer is off…but it looks to me that someone is attempting to get the means to a supercomputer of their own."

"Any idea where?" Sissi asked.

"That's the concerning part. It's in your neck of the woods…whoever's doing this is doing their best to hide their exact position…but I am working to triangulate where they could be." Jérémie remarked. "But I can assure you that there's no chance of XANA coming back."

"That's the thing that worries me more…what if they don't want to revive XANA but take his powers in some way or form." Sissi asked.

"That's…um, Sissi, I'll keep you posted."

He hung up and Sissi knew she could only hope for the best. As for Jérémie, he wrestled with one of two ideas of what was happening…and which one was worst.

Omake #22 – A Return to Form (Canon) – Rei and Gilbert – (Post-Series)

(Goldenrod City | July 6th | 12:00 p.m.)

Rei was proud of her brother for working so hard to get better, which all paid off. Gilbert was back in working order, able to walk once again. Rei was not one to emote often, but her brother brought it out often. She was at ease simply happy to see her brother humbled and changed for the better. The two were at her home.

"So Gilbert, what are you going to do now that you're better?" Rei asked.

"I don't know…I need a fresh start. Start over, you know?" Gilbert remarked. "By the way, mom called…"

Rei's brow furrowed before asking what did she want.

"She and dad divorced." Gibert explained as Rei rolled her eyes. "You're not-"

"Surprised? No, I knew that was coming." Rei mused before the phone rang. "Let me get that…"

She answered the phone with her usual greet.

"Rei Ayanami?"

"Who wants to know?" Rei asked.

"Scott Enishida." Scott remarked. "I've been keeping an eye on you and your fellow trainers from Pallet. I'm quite impressed by most of you. I wanted to extend an invitation to you to come to by battle facility in Hoenn…the Battle Frontier."

"Enishida. I've heard of you, the well-connected and wealthy battle enthusiast with an eye for detail. One who doesn't battle himself but has got a tactical eye for how one fights. I'm quite honored you called me." Rei remarked.

"I know talent where I see it. And I sent you tickets in the mail…and I heard your brother's recovered from his injuries. Considering taking him with you." Scott said before hanging up.

Rei hung up the phone before having a moment of thought.

"So little brother? How do you feel about going to a new region?" Rei asked.

Omake #23 – She Thought She Was Screwed (Canon) – New Character – (Post-Series)

(Route 115 – Starfall Rim | July 18th | 11:00 a.m.)

Vevette Jenny did a lot in her career, or so people think. On paper, she was a talented officer of law, worthy of being promoted to the position of Detective. The truth was a bit muddier. A former officer of the Viridian Police Department, she had been secretly following the boy that her stepsister claimed as her 'godson'…Crimson. It was the best decision she ever made as in doing so allow her to net some key arrests, make busts and make connections from the messes Crimson left behind, all while he was blissfully unaware. The kid was a magnet for chaos and to her…a good luck charm that had her happy to play janitor. Come Giovanni's fall, she busted several high-ranking members of Team Rocket and exposed a drug ring which got in her the International Police's good graces. Enough to be accepted into their ranks and be given the position of being an ID, an International Detective.

She used it as a means to get to another region, settling into Hoenn, leaving during Crimson's two days in the hopsital. It was a cushy job initially, assisting on small cases and remote desk work she could do at home. The pay was good, and she grew to love Hoenn. She even got into the Secret Base Guild after learning of…the benefits of using Secret Bases. It was cheaper than living in an apartment, and easy to move around. She had settled one in Starfall Rim, a beachfront secret base. She adored decorating the place. Her last small case had netted her the means to get her hands on a new Pokémon, a Rotom. Sure, it was swiping the Pokémon of a dead man…but he was a criminal. And Rotom was more than happy to stay with her given its uniqueness besides it's shininess. Things were looking up…and then they assigned her a long-term case. Magma, Aqua, and Sigma Purple. She knew she was screwed…especially with Sigma Purple.

"Damn it, why me?" Vevette groaned as she sat on her blue Wide Sofa.

"Um…because it's your job. BZZT!"

Her Rotom could talk the speak of humans which was a blessing for her in helping her with cases. She went over to her mini fridge to get her a beer. Her other Pokémon (her Arcanine, her Crawdaunt, her Zangoose, and her Skarmory) were all watching television on Jenny's TV.

"I know Akashi, but fuck…SP are run by some crazy mother-"

Her PokéGear rang to which she saw it was Shady. She answered immediately greeting him.

"How's my favorite cop?" Shady asked.

"Wanting some information on Sigma Purple maybe." Vevette remarked.

"No dice. But I know this, they want Crimson dead. And guess who's on the way to Hoenn?" Shady said as Vevette had a grin on her face.

"How soon?" Vevette said.

"Not until I'm paid for what you owe me." Shady said as Jenny got to her computer.

She transferred the finder's fee for the intel before she was told.

"Pleasure doing business." She said before hanging up. "Crimson's coming to Hoenn…and in two days. And Sigma Purple and the public is in the dark about it. That won't be forever though."

"So, what are you going to do?" Akashi asked as Vevette relaxed.

"Looks like, I'm going to have to get involved. Steer him in the right direction." Vevette said with a wide grin. "But Sigma Purple's days…alongside Magma and Aqua's are numbered now."

(A/N: And with that, we can bring The Outsider's Insurrection: Indigo Iliad to a close. A showing of what had happened and a hint at the threats looming in the distance. Along with introducing some new characters for the series. But before I do onto some details about the coming sequel, I do want to clarify that Chapters 81 and 116-121 were rewritten and edited for errors. Hopefully, this is the last edit I'll need to make. Moving on to the omakes, Li Xinlin might surprise you readers, but I have been keeping my eye on the Black Lagoon manga. Originally, I had it in mind for May to have a doppelganger in Sapphire who would have been Brendan's older brother. She was even in pre-production, but I ultimately cut it in favor of merging some elements of Sapphire's character into Feng. As for Rei and Gilbert, yes, they'll return in the sequel…soon. And finally, there's the new character, Vevette. She was originally going to be called Vivienne, but I realized I should just make the name Vivi's full name and give Vevette a more fitting name. Yes, all the Jennies in Kanto all have names starting with V. Vevette is actually inspired by a hard-boiled Jenny from Kanto that appeared in the Sinnoh anime (DP115) who wore shades and had a Chatot. (Whether she's the same Jenny is up to you, really.) As for her voice, there's actually 10 English VAs / 5 Japanese VAs for her over the years, but for Vevette: Maya Rosewood (who only voiced Jenny once in the Hoenn series with a rougher tone). But allow me to say this to you, congratulations reader for completing the first half of the Advancement Arc, that name being a bit of nickname for the adaptation of the mainline Gen III games. Now let's get to details for Amalgamation Emerald.)

What to Expect

Befitting its name's, it will blend all the Hoenn games together with the Emerald game as its core, a modded one called Altered Emerald. (One of the best Emerald romhacks, out there) so aside from anime locations…there will be new locations based on the romhack. Canon routes will have secondary names (akin to what the games did from XY onward), thanks to Altered Emerald. As for character designs, some will use their original RSE looks…others their ORAS looks.

After consideration, May will not be a Coordinator. Though that was obvious given the setup I laid out in her brief cameo in this story. I did opt to make her a mix of all of the Mays across Pokémon adaptations, and one of the most pertinent was Sapphire from the Adventures manga. In turn, that mixing made May into a tomboy who has the aspects of her anime personality.

Will Crimson avoid using his old Pokémon in the sequel series? No. However, he is going to build a new team in Hoenn. Given Crimson has about three other Pokémon that he hasn't used on his Kanto run. (Misdreavus, Teddiursa, and Lapras), I did plan for them to be used in the Hoenn run. Fun fact, while those three and the Bulbasaur were planned, Torchic was not…it was through the setup for the Recess Gang that I realized I could get a Torchic for Crimson without preventing May from getting one.

In terms of adapting the anime, while I will do lift some plot threads…don't expect all of them to be taken. Looking back, I really don't like the execution of the Battle Frontier as they scrapped the cool island the place took place to spread all over Kanto in a cheap attempt to promote FireRed and LeafGreen (which they had a shit job at doing considering the plot holes and butchering they did to locations.). Ironically, the Sevii Islands…one of the new locations at the time was never mentioned nor visited in the main series. No, Pokémon Chronicles did…and that was only for One Island. A missed opportunity given they could have shifted the BF there, but no.

Then there's the side games, the Colosseum games and the first Pokémon Ranger game. XD: Gale of Darkness (being apart of Gen III) doesn't take place until two years after Gen II/IV, so that won't be focused on. The first Colosseum and Pokémon Ranger games take place in between the skip of Gen III to Gen IV. Thanks to my pragmatic take of the timeline, both can take during the sequel (in Colosseum's case, to fit with the five-year timeskip that XD has). I did hint to Heather being the 'heroine of another story' for Fiore. So, in befitting with the anime, I'll be two mini-arcs that briefly crossover these stories alongside doing entries for Omake Oasises.

Lastly, you're wondering what about the former Team Rocket Trio? Is Jessie goes to take to a career of becoming a Pokémon Coordinator? Yes. While I am at the ease that the trio's story is done, I figured that it'd be ok to have that canon thread be a thing. Besides, we can have a reunion…soon.
