Hello! After rereading the small amount I've written for this story, I've decided I hate every word and reading it makes me cringe.
So! Worry not, I'm not abandoning this story, just getting rid of what's happened so far and starting from a slightly different place in the DW timeline. When I have enough of the new, revamped story done, I'll upload it here in this story's place, which you'll hopefully(?) receive updates for.
I'm sticking with the Outlier, he's still my number one guy, I'm just getting rid of the majority of his stupid accent (he still has the accent, I just won't write like it) and shaking up his backstory a bit. He probably won't appreciate it, as I'm filling him up with 90% more trauma. Whoops.
When this will happen? Not a clue. When will it update? Also not a clue. I'm a very busy uni student that should be working on anything BUT Doctor Who fanfiction, but this little man has gripped my brain for years now and if I don't get him out, I fear he might break something up there.
So yeah, rejigging a little. The premise won't change, and it'll still be the same guy. Not sure whether I'm going to keep the Narrator exactly as it currently is, but I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. Since writing the Narrator I have indeed played the Stanley Parable and can confirm they're nothing alike, haha. Also, since starting my new draft I have consumed all of The Magnus Archives, so expect perhaps a little sprinkling of eldritch horror in there.
Thank you to anyone who's favourited and/or followed so far, I appreciate you! Sorry about this. Hoping it'll be better when I've rewritten. Not that it's bad now, I just think I can do better, and want to do better. If I don't get rid of what I've already written, I won't write anymore because I hate it, so this way is better for all of us, trust me.
When I'm ready to upload the first chapter, the rest of this story will go poof, but I'll leave it up 'til then!
