Sasuke continued to look at the 'girl Naruto.'

She looked like a twin of the regular kid Naruto, except she had on a black dress with a orange Uzumaki emblem, front and back. She had on the regular blue Shinobi sandals. She also had long blonde hair. Split into two twin pig tails with a bang in the middle.

She looked very...curious.

Not just her appearance exactly. Her eyes.

Looking into her eyes Sasuke could see an ocean of many different emotions.

Emotions no kid should have at her age.

Curiosity, loneliness, emptiness, and sadness were some of the few.

If he remembered correctly, this was around the time the Naruto of his world was shunned and rejected by the village for being a Jinchuriki.

And if this 'girl Naruto' was similar to him, then the same applies for her also.

He had to make a decision.

If this really was the past and not a figment of his imagination, then he had to make a choice of changing his actions or keeping them the same.

He did say that he would redeem himself if given a second chance and he meant that. He didn't want to live for vengeance and darkness anymore. He was unsatisfied and unfulfilled with the last outcome, and now he wanted something more. A new path...a different destination.

Building bonds will be crucial this time around. Especially with the girl version of the Naruto from his world and what better time than to do it than now?

With that last thought, Sasuke waved her down.

Her eyes widened with surprise and then softened into a bright smile and she quickly ran down to where Sasuke was.

'She is indeed the Nine Tailed Jinchuriki.' Sasuke thought as he sensed the tailed beast inside her.

She reached where he was and sat down beside him.

"Hey there, I'm Naruko Uzumaki. What's your name??" The now named Naruko friendly smiled as her attention focused on him. Her voice was high, soft, and cheerful.

Sasuke looked at her curiously. "My name is Sasuke Uchiha."

"Wait Uchiha...I heard what happened to your clan. Im sorry that happened to you Sasuke-kun." Naruko looked empathetic as she said it.

Looks like the Uchiha Clan massacre still happened. Wasn't surprising as this was a little bit after it and kun? Seems like she was very trusting of him already. Although wasn't he still in the academy at this time also? They must have never talked.

"Thank you. I try not to think about it." Sasuke looked out into the horizon.

Naruko suddenly looked bashful and nervous as she started fidgeting with her hair. "W-what would y-you t-think of me i-if I told you I-I was the Nine T-Tailed J-Jinchuriki??" She stuttered out. She expected to hear the same obscene insults and for him to reject her like everyone else did. That would completely shatter her already fractured heart.

Interesting, it seems that unlike his Naruto, Naruko was aware of the Nine Tails at this point of time. He wondered how that managed to happen.

He looked at her with complete honesty. "Being the Nine Tailed Jinchuriki doesn't define you. Your character and who are as a person is what matters." He finished.

"O-Okay I g-get it you don't want to t-" Naruko started but her eyes then widened as his words replayed in her mind. Does that mean...

She looked emotional but hopeful as she asked him the question. "C-Can you b-be my f-friend??" Her eyes sparkled.

Sasuke smirked and said simply. "Sure."

The brightness that came over her was comparable to the sun shining on a clear sky.

Her smile was wide and joyful. "R-Really?! Thank you Sasuke-kun!!" She yelled and hugged him tightly.

Sasuke awkwardly patted her back as he wasn't used to receiving any hugs. He would surely have to get used to this.

Naruko came to realize what she was doing. She quickly let Sasuke go and a red tint was noticeable on her face. "S-Sorry Sasuke-kun...got a little too excited there.." She said, flustered.

Sasuke smirked. "Yeah I could tell."

A flushed Naruko decided to quickly change the subject. "S-So what are you about to do Sasuke-kun?"

Sasuke looked at the sun setting. "I'm about to head back home." He said. He had a lot to think about. Mainly the future.

"I understand. It was very nice meeting you Sasuke-kun." Naruko gratefully and happily smiled at him.

Sasuke stood up. "Likewise." He said and held his hand out to her. "I will catch you later."

Naruko turned a little red and grabbed his hand. He pulled her up with ease. "Y-Yeah see you later Sasuke-kun." She smiled again.

Both of them then went there separate ways after. Sasuke secretly summoned a Shadow Clone to make sure Naruko got home safely.

Sasuke steadily walked back to his apartment. It was an open apartment that the Third Hokage gave to him after the Uchiha massacre.

Speaking of the Third Hokage, the face of Danzo entered his mind and his eyes dangerously narrowed.

He would have to deal with him at a later time. There were many things he had to think about. Orochimaru, Obito, The Tailed Beasts, The Akatsuki, Madara

His brother...

He temporarily paused in his walk.

Yeah that's right, his brother was back alive now.

His fingers closed into a strong fist.

He promised he would prove his innocence and Itachi will be free. He would also heal him of his sickness.

He would also kick his ass for the Tsukuyomi stunt and ask him some questions he thought about.

Like why exactly did he have to kill Uchiha children and babies??

Sasuke's thought process stopped as he sensed two people.

He looked to see himself in front of the Hyuga Compound.

A covered up man, which he assumed from his build, held someone hostage, and was quickly running away from the compound.

From his headband Sasuke saw that he was a ninja from Kumogakure.

He heard him talking to the hostage.

"Yes finally now we can take those special eyes of yours princess haha!" The man evilly laughed and ran into some tree area.

This peaked Sasuke's curiosity. Apparently this random man captured the princess of the Hyuga Clan.

This was new to him. He didn't know that the princess of the Hyuga Clan got captured during his time.

It would do him well to save her. It would put him in good graces with the Hyuga Clan and that will be helpful.

Sasuke jumped into the trees after them.

The man entered a clearing and placed Hinata on the ground.

"You should stop struggling princess, you're only delaying the inevitable." He evilly smiled.

Hinata struggled against the ropes and tried to talk, but couldn't because of the tape around her mouth.

The man laughed again and started to approach her.

A terrified Hinata shook with fear. 'Someone please help me!!' She hopelessly thought.

Sasuke jumped out of the trees and glared dangerously at the Kumo Ninja.

The Kumo Ninja heard him and turned around and faced him. "Awe well isn't this cute. Trying to be a knight in shining armor boy?? Beat it or you will die." He warned him.

Hinata quickly recognized Sasuke from her academy class and wondered what he was doing here. She was very concerned for his wellbeing. 'D-Don't do i-it Sasuke-kun!!' She thought as she continued to struggle.

Sasuke did a fast glance to Hinata. '...Hinata Hyuga right?' He thought as he barely remembered her.

Back in his time period, they didn't talk at all. If he remembered correctly, she liked Naruto a lot and even stalked him. Hopefully with him saving her, it will change things. He would have to be social this time around and if he wanted his clan restored, it will be necessary.

The man took out his sword. "Don't want to listen huh? Well I g-"

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and the man stopped talking and fell on the ground, knocked out.

He scoffed. What a weakling. He deactivated his Sharingan and went to Hinata.

He untied her and gently took the tape off her mouth.

Hinata jumped to him and tightly hugged him. "Thank you thank you!!" She repeated over and over again as tears fell down her eyes.

Yeah he would most definitely have to get used to the hugs. He awkwardly patted her back. "Don't mention it Hinata."

A minute later Hinata came to her senses and realized what she was doing.

"GAH!!" Her face looked like a ripe red tomato as she quickly let Sasuke go. "I-I'm s-sorry S-S-Sasuke-kun." She stuttered as she said it.

"If you wanted a hug, all you had to do was say that." Sasuke decided to tease her.

He smirked as she covered her face with her hands, smoke coming out her ears.

His smirk quickly disappeared as he sensed 3 Chakra signatures. He got ready.

"Hinata?! Are you okay?!" A young boy who he recognized as Neji Hyuga quickly went to Hinata and analyzed her for any injuries.

Two men then stepped out into the clearing. They were twins. One had to be her father he guessed.

"Hinata?? Are you alright??" The man asked her calmly but with concern evident as he looked at the downed Kumo ninja and Sasuke.

"Father, Neji, and Uncle I'm alright. S-Sasuke-k-kun saved me from him." Hinata said, looking at them.

Hiashi and Hizashi's eyes widened with surprise. Wasn't the Uchiha seven years old?! Just like Hinata?! The Uchiha really were something else.

Hiashi walked to Sasuke. "I give you much thanks for saving my daughter."

Sasuke nodded his head. "I would do it again."

Hinata blushed and held her head down, trying to hide it.

Neji then walked up to him. "What's your name? I'm Neji Hyuga."

"Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke looked at him.

Neji died to the Ten Tails in the war. It was a bit surreal seeing him now. If he was honest, it was still surreal seeing everything.

Neji nodded with respect to him. "Well Sasuke, I thank you for saving Hinata."

Sasuke nodded back to him. "I'll be taking my leave now. We all should hang out or train sometime." He looked at Neji and Hinata.

Hinata shyly smiled but nodded.

"Of course. Anytime Sasuke." Neji said.

Sasuke then gave his goodbyes and left back to his apartment. As interesting as the encounter was, he still had questions and things to think about.
