Maybe I should put a cherry on top of the nice thing I did. I doubt she eats much.

As soon as Wilhelm crossed Victoria's threshold, he made his way to his room and left just as soon as he arrived, only having stopped to change and get his keys. He then headed outside and walked at a steady pace toward the parking lot.

About an hour later, Wilhelm knocked lightly on Kate's door with his left hand. In his right was a small pizza box. After a few seconds, Kate slowly cracked her door.

"Can I come in?" Wilhelm asked with a soft voice.

"Sure," Kate said.

"I got a little something for you," Wilhelm said, showing her the pizza.

"You didn't have to."

"I know."

The two friends then ate together in relative silence before Wilhelm broke it.

"I'd really hate to ask you but.. what happened to you? I don't believe whatever you did in that video to be like you."

Kate said nothing. She just stared at him for few seconds, her lip trembling.

"I'm. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry," Wilhelm said, grabbing her hand.

"No. No. It's okay," Kate replied, gripping his hand tightly, "Something happened to me."

"What happened, Kate?"

"I just had a bit of wine. That's it. Then everything was a blur for a while. I told them I wasn't feeling right. Nathan said he would take me to the hospital. I remember glimpses of a white room. Then I was back here. I felt.. tainted in some way."

"My God," Wilhelm said, wiping a single tear from his eye, "I'm so sorry Kate. I should've… Let's not make this about me."

Wilhelm took in a deep breath and exhaled before continuing.

"Did you. Did you check.. yourself?"

"There was nothing," Kate said, looking down.

She then looked up to face him.

"What should I do?"

"Just.. just wait. I'll figure this out. Trust me. We'll find out what happened. I just need time. Keep the rest of the pizza, I gotta go clear my head. Keep in touch. If you need ANYTHING, please tell me and I'll drop everything."

"Okay. I trust you."

With that, Wilhelm rose from his seat, gave Kate a tight hug, and left. He again headed outside to his car.

What he saw next shocked him. Nathan was on top of Warren and hitting him repeatedly. After a few more hits, Warren was able to land a very hard punch on his cheek, staggering him.

In an instant, everything moved as fast as lightning. Will sprinted forward and quickly pulled Nathan away from Warren. For just an instant, he locked eyes with Max before she jumped in a pickup truck and sped away. He then helped Nathan regain his balance and began to walk back towards the dorm with him, keeping an iron grip on his arm.

"What the fuck are you doing, Will!?"

"Protecting you," Wilhelm replied coldly.

"From what? I was kicking his ass!"

"Exactly. You can't keep drawing this much negative attention to yourself."

"Fuck off, I can take care of myself!"Nathan said while freeing himself from his grasp.

"Whatever. Don't say I didn't warn you."

The two of them walked in silence to the dorm and met in Nathan's room. Wilhelm took a seat on the floor with his back straight against the wall and Nathan sat at his desk.

"What're you up to, Nathan?"

"I could ask you the same question. Wilhelm."

"Touché."

"What makes you think I've been 'up to something'?"

"You've been stressed out. And your art and photography have been changing."

"Again. I could say the same thing about you," Nathan retorted, "Victoria told me you haven't been sleeping much. She's worried about you."

Wilhelm could almost feel the ice coming from the last sentence.

"We all have problems. I want to maybe help you with yours."

"I don't have a problem. You have one. What is it? What are you up to?"

"I'm looking for someone."

"Rachael," Nathan said, looking down at the floor.

"Not exactly," Wilhelm said, causing Nathan to look back up at him, "I'm looking for whoever she left with. Someone unknown to me. I think."

"Why?"

"I'm curious. She wanted to leave. That much I know. But she didn't leave with anyone I know she knew. Someone else got her. I want to found out who that is."

"What are you gonna do if you find Rachael and that person?"

"I don't know."

"Fat chance of that. You couldn't find her. You don't really know her."

"Oh?" Wilhelm asked, his eyes narrowing, "Do you know her, Nathan?"

"Maybe."

"I told you what I'm up to. What are you up to?"

"A new form of art."
