Robin and 99 have arrived on the KAOS base, they were being escorted by KAOS agents led by Siegfried. Siegfried's right hand man Starker greets him
"Welcome back boss." He spoke
"Shtarker, we have guests here." Said Siegfried in his strong German accent
"Hello 99 and is that Robin the Boy wonder? I am such of fan of the Dynamic Duo." Said Starker
"What ever you're planning Siegfried it won't work." Said 99
"Oh, stop you sound like a broken record." Said Siegfried unnerved
"Yeah, now shush." Said Starker
"Shtarker, we don't shush here!" Siegfried yelled
"Sorry boss, I forgot." Said Starker apologizing
"That is alright, now go and get the camera ready because I have an offer that the world can't refuse.
Meanwhile at the Gotham City Police Headquarters Egghead is sitting in the interrogation room, Batman and Max along with Gordon and the Chief of Control watching from outside.
"It's been three hours Batman, and Egghead still hasn't talked." Said Gordon concerned
"If he doesn't talk, we won't be able to locate Robin, 99 or Doctor Feldon." Said the Chief
"Well gentlemen, I guess there's one way to crack an egg." Said Max taking off his jacket and unbuttoning his sleeves
"Wait Max, I think I have a better solution. Please follow my lead." Said Batman as he and Max go in the interrogation room and confront Egghead
"Batman and Mister Smart, you both are wasting your time because I still refuse to talk, I am Eggxercising my right to remain silent." He said in another egg pun
"We respect your right to silence, but I have to say given the serious nature of the charges you could be locked away for a very long time." Said Batman
"Batman's right Egghead, you could be spending everyday locked away at a federal penitentiary confined to a cell with no windows or sunlight." Said Max
"Or you could spend your incarceration at Gotham State Penitentiary under Warden Crichton's progressive policies provided you tell us everything." Batman offered
"You win Batman. Siegfried hired me to kidnap Doctor Feldon so KAOS can get their hands on the rocket fuel." Egghead confessed
"What are the plans for the Rocket fuel?" Max asked
"Siegfried was smart enough not to tell me the plan." Said Egghead
"Where are Robin and 99?" Batman asked
"Siegfried put them on a plane. To where? I don't know." Said Egghead
Batman and Max go out into the hall with Gordon and the Chief
"Well, Gentlemen do you believe him?" Gordon asked
"Yes, we do Commissioner." Said Batman
Suddenly Chief O'Hara walks over them with a panicked look on his face
"Saints alive! KAOS is on TV." He spoke
They all go into Gordon's office and see Siegfried on the tv screen.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm sorry to interrupt your program, but I have a message for the members of the United World. My name is Conrad Siegfried vice president of KAOs and captain of the KAOS softball team and I am here to make an offer that you would be foolish to refuse, we are prepared to launch three nuclear missiles at the following cities Moscow, London and Washington DC unless we are paid ten billion dollars and ninety-nine cents plus tax. You have 48 hours to comply." Siegfried threatened
Batman runs of the office and out to the Batmobile, Max follows him out and catches up to him
"Batman, where are you going?" he asked
"I am going to the Batcave to figure out where Siegfried is planning to launch those missiles." Batman replied
"I'll come with you." Said Max
"No, you can't." said Batman
"I thought we agreed to work together?" Max asked
"You're right Max we did. All right you can come, but first I will spray you this." Said Batman pulling out a small spray cannister
"What is that?" Max asked
"It's Bat sleep. When I spray, you will temporarily be unconscious preventing you from seeing the outer location of the Batcave
"Come on Batman, I am an agent of the United States Government. If you can't trust the United States government, who can you trust? Uh on second thought you better spray me." Said Max
Batman sprays him, Max goes limp as he catches him and puts him in the Batmobile and drives off.
