"You agreed to that?" Tommy asked as they each were changing a baby into their pajamas and he just stared at her. He had missed out on several conversations this evening and he wished he had been in this conversation most. "Kim that could…"

"I know, but…I just feel like we need to try one more time with them," Kim said as she placed Kira in the crib and then put Jay down beside her. "If I'm wrong- you can be mad at me."

"It's not that I think you're wrong–I just don't know if you'll get the result you want and I…Kim…this week is going to be hard enough," Tommy said as he reached over and started undressing her. She leaned into his hands and closed her eyes. "Oh you're tired."

"Yeah, but your hands also feel amazing," Kim murmured as she leaned further into his arms and he chuckled. "If you want…I'd love a back rub."

"Babe- it's not going to just be a back rub," Tommy whispered and she shrugged. "Umm…the kids?"

"Are down for at least the next few hours and we'll…" Kim looked down at her undressed state and sighed. "I forgot we had to go to another room."

"Same," Tommy muttered as he picked her up, piggy back style, and she shook her head. "This is definitely the safest way."

"Be quick…I want as much time with you as I can get," Kim whispered before she kissed his neck and he let out a soft moan. "C'mon Mr. Oliver, show me what you got."

Tommy woke to the feeling of fingers gently caressing their way up and down his chest. He moved his hand to grab hers and led it down further, letting out a soft moan as she palmed him. Last night had been amazing- it was the first time they had truly been off duty in months and he wanted to soak in every bit of time he had with her before they went back to the real world this afternoon.

"You sure you want more?" Kim teased as his eyes blinked open and she saw the fire in them. Not only was he sure, he was intent that they were going to get more time like this. Their marriage might have been fine, but last night let him know how much they were really missing as they just passed each other like ships in the night most days. "What about…"

"Taken care of," Tommy whispered as he rolled over on top of her and she pushed him against her core. Her body was ready for him and he sank into her, letting out a whisper of a moan as he took his time with her. The last several months had been hurried in every aspect of their lives, but mostly in sex. Fifteen minutes was the most they could get and the luxury of slow and thorough love making was something they had not had lately.

"We can take our time," Kim muttered as the realization washed over her and he nodded as he leaned down to give her a kiss. "Are you…are we…"

"I'm not really up for thinking right now," Tommy said as he rolled over and she settled on his lap. She continued their lazy rhythm and he held her close. "We need to make more time for us, for this."

"God yes," Kim muttered against his neck stifling a moan as she found just the right angle for her and he smiled up at her as she took her pleasure.

"It's a bit of a hike from here," Tommy said as they looked around at the ranger siblings. Since seeing the Campbells and Desantoses, they had seen most of the other ranger families from their time and it seemed that all of them wanted to tag along. While it wasn't exactly what they expected, they decided it was worth it. "You feel like this is a set up?"

"I'm not sure," Kim whispered back as she smiled at the family members and then back up at him. "Something is off."

"Yeah," Tommy muttered as he grabbed her hand and they went off into the desert. They had parked far enough away that it wasn't likely the families would be able to retrace their steps, but they really couldn't be sure of anything. While the siblings chatted, the two of them remained quiet. After about twenty minutes, the Command Center came into their sights and Kim gave him a sad smile. Their last experience here had been one of the worst of their lifetime.

"What is that?" Austin asked as he walked up next to them and Kim gave him a smile. Jason's brother had always been one of their closest non-ranger friends over the years, but even he felt distant now. "There's never been a building out here before."

"Maybe not for you, but there has always been one for us," Kim said as Austin just nodded. "Austin- what's going on?"

"What do you mean?" Austin asked as he hastily looked away from them and Kim stopped dead in her tracks. What deal had they made?

"How did he get to you?" Kim asked and Austin gulped. The other family members also stilled as they realized that Kim and Tommy had stopped. "Kiros? Or someone else?"

"It's our kids," Tyler supplied and Kim squeezed her eyes closed. That was a surefire way to get just about any parent to do something sketchy. "They said they'd come after our kids."

"They?" Tommy asked as he stood next to Kimberly and the dread filled her. "Kiros and who?"

"We didn't get names," Felicity said and Tommy just nodded. "But they said if we brought you…if we came along…"

"Do we call them in?" Kim asked as she grabbed her communicator and all she heard was static. Apparently being inside the Command Center was what allowed them to communicate out here. "I guess not."

"If Kiros is here, you can't go in," Tommy stated as Kim folded her arms and glared at him. There was no way she was letting him go in by himself.

"They said they don't know who it is, maybe it's not Kiros…maybe it is someone else," Kim said as he shook his head. The likelihood that any good being they knew would threaten children like this was very low. He crossed his arms and looked down at her as she let out a sigh. "Fine. You aren't going in there alone."

"He could kill you," Tommy said and he saw the faces of the family members pale. "I will be fine."

"I'm going- we can't get you back up unless I'm in there with you and you're going to need back up," Kim stated and she looked around at the family members. "Get out of here. If this goes well for them- there's no guarantee they won't come after you even if you did do what they wanted."

"Kim…" Felicity started and Kimberly wheeled around on her, her eyes flashing pink.

"If we die- it's on your hands," Kim growled before she jogged after Tommy. They had just wanted a week off, but it seemed like they had spent more of this week on ranger things than they had at any other time in their lives.

Tommy placed his hand on the scanner and the door slid open. He glanced back to see that the family members were all still standing there and he shook his head. If they wanted to stay here- that was on them.

"Kim…go…I'll be fine," Tommy said as she just shook her head and turned around, grabbed one of his hands and started walking in behind him. The lights flashed on and both held back groans. There was only so much that could be done if they weren't able to move in stealthily. "Please…go."

"No- we're in this together," Kim whispered back as Tommy moved to one wall and she moved to the other. They slowly crept down the hall with Kim starting the beacon on her communicator and hoped that Roberto would pick up on it. They had managed to link up something to tell him to go to the Command Center and check in, but this had never been how they thought it would be used. They got to the end of the hall and could hear some people mumbling. Tommy peaked into the main chamber and shook his head. He motioned that there were 3 beings in the chamber and which ones he was planning to take out. Kim nodded and watched as he counted down before they moved.

She trailed behind him and saw who he had designated for her to take on. They were all standing with their backs to them and Kim let out a shudder as she realized one of them was Kiros, but the other two were Ivan and Anise. Tommy launched at Kiros and she went after Anise, very aware of how this might look to the other Guardians if Tommy didn't manage to keep Kiros there as well.

"Roberto- get us back up!" Tommy barked into his communicator and he was shocked when rays of light landed around them and a few of the Guardians stepped out as well. He continued to beat Kiros back, away from Kimberly and Shelby as Axel and Cameron joined him. He had never been able to figure out what Kiros did to them, but he wasn't going to risk it right now.

"Kimberly, you and Shelby go. They're ours," Roberto said as he grabbed Anise and she stared up at him. "We warned you not to do anything drastic, you will be punished."

Kimberly grabbed Shelby and sprinted from the Command Center. She could feel something draining her and when they burst out of the Command Center the both of them fell to their knees. She looked up to see the siblings were still standing within eyesight and she forced herself to keep moving. Shelby followed in her stead as they crawled away from the Command Center. Kim let out a groan as she grabbed Shelby and pushed her further away.

"Go…ask them to take you out of here…" Kim trailed off as Shelby pushed herself to her feet and tried to help Kim up. "Go!"

Shelby looked down at her and then sprinted off, knowing that this would be her only chance to get away. Kim let out a shaky breath and tried to keep moving, even if it was at a slower pace. She could trust that Tommy would make it out of this as this was not one of the deaths she had seen for him, but she wasn't sure if she would make it out of here. She slowly surrendered as she lost consciousness.
